As we celebrate the 4th of July and reflect on the sacrifices made for our nation’s freedom, we’re reminded that the greatest freedom comes through the Gospel. Jesus offers liberty not just from earthly oppression, but from sin, guilt, and death. In Him, life gains clarity, peace, and eternal hope—true freedom that endures beyond this life.

Life is short and fleeting, like a vapor or a fading flower. The Bible reminds us that our time on earth is limited and full of challenges, but its message points us to something greater—eternity with God. This is the Gospel: that true purpose is not found in this world, but in living in obedience to Christ and preparing for the life to come.

The judgment of God is certain, and everyone will give an account of their lives before Christ, the righteous Judge. The Bible will be the standard, and nothing will be hidden. Are you ready?

This powerful message comes from the archives of One Gospel Minute, originally delivered by Tennessee Bible College founder Malcolm Hill.

Those who don’t respect the dead are unlikely to respect the living. On Memorial Day, we owe gratitude to those who came before us—family members who worked hard for our future, and soldiers who died defending our freedoms. Like Abraham who honored his family with a proper burial, we too should show respect. As one veteran said, even during holiday fun, take a moment to remember those who gave so much. Memorial Day is more...

What’s guiding your faith—tradition, opinion, or truth? Many today are led by family, friends, or popular trends, but God calls us to follow His Word alone. Man-made teachings fall short, while the Bible reveals God’s will and the path to eternal life.

From the archives: A powerful word from Brother Malcolm Hill, the founding president of Tennessee Bible College and the original voice behind One Gospel Minute.

“The world’s not the same without Mother.” God designed women to nurture and guide the home, and many owe their faith to a godly mom. Even Jesus was raised by Mary, chosen for her purity and devotion. The world deeply needs faithful Christian mothers—and that, too, is the Gospel.

Are you hitting the mark in your walk with Christ? The Bible shows that sin is missing the mark—choosing the wide, easy road instead of the narrow path Jesus calls us to follow. We can’t guide ourselves; we need God’s direction. His Word is clear, true, and leads to real peace and faithful living. If you want to stay on target, Jesus is the only way.

The Bible lists seven things God hates, including pride, lying, murder, wicked schemes, eagerness to do evil, bearing false witness, and causing division among believers (Proverbs 6:16-19). These sins are serious in God’s eyes, even if the world overlooks some of them. Christians are called to avoid these behaviors, love God wholeheartedly, and live faithfully for eternal salvation.

It’s always good to hear people talk about Jesus — especially His resurrection. But Easter isn’t a Biblical celebration. In Acts 12:4, the word “Easter” was a mistranslation — it should read “Passover.”

The Gospel is simple: Christ died, was buried, and rose again the third day (I Cor. 15:3-4).

God didn’t authorize Easter — He gave us a weekly memorial on the first day of every week (Acts 20:7). Traditions may feel harm...

Prayer is not just words spoken into the air — it’s the faithful reaching out to the Creator who holds all power. God hears. God responds. And when His people pray with trusting hearts, incredible things can happen. Healing, restoration, forgiveness — all flow from His hand. Whether it’s a hurting soul, a broken body, or even a troubled world, God alone provides the healing we truly need.

Did you know that God wants all Christians to be united? Jesus Himself prayed for that unity in John 17:20-21. The Bible speaks clearly against division among believers (1 Corinthians 1:10-12) and urges us to strive for unity in Christ (Ephesians 4:3-6). That kind of oneness isn’t just a dream—it’s possible when we follow the Bible alone (Galatians 1:6-9).

So here’s the big question: Are you working toward the unity that Go...

The wise men showed true wisdom—they followed God’s direction, journeyed far, and worshiped Jesus with their best gifts. They didn’t let Herod’s threats sway them; they listened to God.

Real wisdom is the same today—seeking Jesus, following His guidance, and offering Him our best.

That’s the gospel.

Despite claims that seasons may disappear, believers can trust that God is in control. His promises are sure, so enjoy the beauty of spring with confidence in His word. That’s the Gospel!

"Why did my Savior come to Earth?” You may recognize this beautiful old hymn. The Bible answers this question clearly—Jesus came to fulfill the Law, establish His church, free believers from sin, reveal God’s love, bring comfort, and save the lost. His coming is the defining moment in history, shaping the course of the world. That’s the Gospel.
