We're an actual play D&D group who almost exclusively uses homebrew setting expansions in our games. Our game has taken us to the worlds of One Piece, Star Wars, Pokemon, and Dragon Age so far. No matter where we end up, we're just a pack of chaos goblins in pretty hats. I have no idea how the DMs stay sane.
Five strangers have all made their way to the island of Lvneel in the North Blue. Through a mixture of personal magnetism, chaos, and getting into trouble they might not be able to get out of, a new pirate crew begins to take shape...

After literally crashing a meeting between the pirate lords of the North Blue, our crew is now moments away from violence. Priority one? Get out of here alive. Priority two? Leave the island. Priority three? That's a problem for future us to deal with...

The Harakiri Pirates have gotten themselves mixed up in a conflict between the Black Banners trade guild and a local hero named Cavebear. If any of them lose their fights, innocent civilians are going to die. Today, we find out just how far the crew will go when their backs are against the wall…

After defeating their opponents, the Harakiri Pirates get a chance to catch their breath. It’s going to take Phil and Finn a month to finish building the new ship, so we’ll be staying put for a while. Hopefully, no one is going to come looking for the enforcers who didn’t make it back…

Now that the Finn & Tonic has been built, our crew finally has a place to call home. We settle in to our quarters and land on the island of Deul. The Black Banners don’t have a base here, so I’m sure everything is gonna be fine…

Following his failed assassination attempt, Sigurd asked to meet with the rest of the Harakiri Pirates, so we brought him back to the Finn and Tonic with us. After a bit of discussion, he asked us for a simple favor: help him kill the Führer. Most of us are ok with this, but our captain doesn't approve of murder...

Scheduling defeated us this week, so I decided to record a behind the scenes episode and give some of my thoughts about my character, the world, and the other players. I'm hoping that we'll be back on track next week. Fingers crossed.

The Harakiri Pirates agreed to help Sigurd take out his brother, and the next day, most of us headed ashore to gather a little information. While we were gone, the others got captured by the marines, and we started a city-wide riot to break them out. By accident, we got ushered into the military base where the storm troopers are preparing to kill everyone in Venumando. Even worse, the most brutal of the Führer’s generals is now sta...
With most of our battles out of the way, everything comes down to Sigurd and Ana’s attempt to overthrow a corrupt monarchy and Phil’s fight against his fallen brother. No matter what happens, the island of Deul will never be the same…

Timing didn't work out this week either, so we're back with more behind the scenes stuff. This time, J is sharing some of his thoughts, memories from the old campaigns, and stuff that he's enjoyed from our game so far.

Life got in the way of our game this week, so enjoy our third behind the scenes episode which takes place between episodes 9 and 10. This time, Conner takes some time to answer my questions, and it goes off the rails almost immediately.

Shout Outs this Week:
On our way to Spider Miles, the crew ran an obstacle course made by Severin and spent time training their skills. We saw a boat following the Finn and Tonic, and Cavebear stayed behind to guard the ship while the rest of us went ashore to try to find information to help Finn. I’m sure that won’t come back to haunt us at all…

It’s time for a blast from right after we landed on Spider Miles! This week, we’ve got an interview with Lio about Cavebear’s backstory, thoughts, and opinions. About halfway through, Lio drops a line that just breaks me, because Ana doesn’t know any of these revelations…

We’ve made it to the second half of my interview with Lio right after session 10. In our fifth glimpse behind the scenes, Lio gives me some insight into Sigurd’s backstory, opinions, and motivations… and for the first time in a behind the scenes interview, I get to make an actual skill check. (I also ask for details about my boss fight on Deul because I came so CLOSE to winning.)
