This Valentine’s Day, we’re looking beyond fleeting romance to the kind of love that endures, sacrifices, and builds something lasting. At a time when marriage and family life are under real strain, the Catholic vision of family — a lifelong marriage rooted in faith and open to life — offers a powerful witness of hope. That’s why stories like Elaine and John’s matter. Married for 53 years, they’ve lived out their commitm...

I’m honored to be joined by Kate, a Catholic wife, mother, and mentor whose journey has been shaped by profound love, deep loss, and God’s steady faithfulness. Kate’s story includes walking through grief after the death of her first husband, Tom, while raising their eight children—and discovering along the way how God meets us not by removing suffering, but by accompanying us through it. That journey eventually led her i...
