Breakdowns For Breakfast
Each episode we take a different album and do a full track by track breakdown on it. We talk about what we like and what we don't like. We tend to stay to music of the heavier variety but fan requests can throw us off of that sometimes. We talk about it like the two music nerds we are. We always put the music first, we tend to be goofy second.

On January 1, 2025, Loudwire posted their list of the Top 50 NuMetal albums of all time. Of course Monster wasn’t going to let that go unchecked and scrutinized. Each Second Breakfast episode in this series will contain a list of 10 albums as Monster provides his opinions on each entry.
Closing out Month Of Masks, the breakdowns treatment is given to The Aquabats 1995 album, The Return Of The Aquabats. Monster plays with PLAYDOUGH as Danger takes a second job as a CD REPO MAN. The boys fall in line with the AQUABAT MARCH. Monster is under the illusion the Danger must PINCH AND ROLL.
Monster, Misses Monster and one of the baby monsters all took a trip to Charlotte to witness that madness that was BabyMetal, live in concert, with special guests Black Veil Brides and Bloodywood. On this episode of Breakdowns For Breakfast a request brings the 1996 album, Becoming X, from the Sneaker Pimps to the breakfast table. The boys recorded this on a Wednesday but that didn't stop them from feeling WASTED EARLY SUNDAY MORNING. Monster leaves this episode not feeling like a WALKING ZERO and Danger decides to ROLL ON.
Back in 2017, Spin Magazine posted an article about 30 greatest NuMetal songs of all time. Our favorite NuMetal Monster decided it would be a good idea for him to “BLIND” (do you get it?) react to it. Will he be happy with the list or will he go off the rails ranting and raving about how completely wrong it is!? We all probably know the answer, but tune in and find out for sure!
On this episode of Breakdowns For Breakfast, the album Drain STH released in 1997, Freaks Of Nature, is brought to the breakfast table. Does this all female band from Sweden make the boys feel more ALIVE? I WISH. Monster tells Dager “ENTER MY MIND” but he doesn't say SIMON SAYS first so Danger stays where he is. Danger says “I WILL FOLLOW you Monster” as Monster looks over his shoulder and says “GET INSIDE”.
Ride The Lightning was the second studio album by Metallica and a turning point in their careers. Monster spends some time going through the process of making the album and some other interesting Metallica facts from that period of time in the band's career. A lot of this might be new information to you! Unless your Monster’s brother, who probably already knew all of it!
On this episode of Breakdowns For Breakfast, Monster’s brother requested that we take on the 1984 album from Metallica, Ride The Lightning. Is Monster going to be able to FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE? Is Danger going to be able to ESCAPE Monster’s brother after this episode? The boys will RIDE THE LIGHTNING until it starts to FADE TO BLACK. They gasp for air but at that point, they are TRAPPED UNDER ICE.
