at all. Hard so much coming. It comes from in
(01:25):
twenty eight minutes, Antonio Daniels, the NBA champ, Serious XM,
NBA radio host, Pelican's TV color analysts, and of course
a Fox Sports Radio NBA analysts, and also one's got
to Go. We'll do that as well in this hour.
So a lot to get to and more football to
talk about.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Yeah, more football to talk about. We just had Sean
King on a minute ago. We were talking about kind
of the best options for Aaron Rodgers, kind of what
you know, decisions he should make.
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Rob g if you want to come up with Aaron Rodgers.
Looks like I'm narrowed it down.
Speaker 3 (01:59):
And really to a couple of a couple of choices
for him.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
So I'm mean to say, he's rob you can you
set the table? No? No, cause see how I do them?
Speaker 3 (02:07):
See Look, even Elijah popped up like, hold on, wa
wait what set the table with the story?
Speaker 2 (02:12):
Is that a problem?
Speaker 4 (02:13):
No?
Speaker 5 (02:13):
But the way you say is just what you said,
is how you're saying, Hey, Rober, can you set the table?
Body producer? He could park in a regular parking spot?
Speaker 2 (02:25):
What else? Did you call it?
Speaker 3 (02:25):
Somebo what was short yesterday? He remember he said something
too yes.
Speaker 2 (02:28):
So many things.
Speaker 5 (02:29):
But any event, Uh, Aaron Rodgers, I don't know if
he really has, you know, wittled his choices down so
much as the market has whittled his choices.
Speaker 2 (02:36):
Down for him.
Speaker 5 (02:37):
You know, Seattle got their quarterback, Raiders got their quarterback.
The list goes on and on, and now a courting
to multiple reports, Aaron Rodgers is down to three teams.
The New York Giants, which has been well reported ever
since they lost out on Matthew Stafford.
Speaker 2 (02:52):
They want a veteran quarterback. Aaron Rodgers already in New
York trying to save their job.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
It seems like if they need to like not win anything,
but they got to be respectable, like though, the general
manager and the coach am I right, yep.
Speaker 2 (03:06):
Like it's that bad.
Speaker 1 (03:07):
Like if they go and they get somebody and it
doesn't work out and they go three and fourteen again,
they're all out.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Yeah, this is it. That's right. They've been embarrassed multiple
times on many fronts.
Speaker 5 (03:16):
And behind door number two of course, the Pittsburgh Steelers,
Mike Tom and Aaron Rodgers have a well chronicled affinity
for one another.
Speaker 2 (03:23):
And now they got a man crust. They do.
Speaker 5 (03:26):
It looks like Russell Wilson is on the outs. They
view him as a backup plan, and they're saying, hey,
we just got DK Metcalf, we got George Pickens, Aaron
Rodgers come to us, and last, but not least, this
was a little bit of a shocker, courting to a
few outlets, the Minnesota Vikings after letting Sam Darnold test
the free agent market and lead at Seattle, presumably so
they could start JJ McCarthy. If now say, hey, you
(03:48):
know what, Aaron, if you're interested, we might be interested
and let's see what happens. So right now, Aaron Rodgers,
as we speak, deciding number one if he wants to
play number two.
Speaker 2 (03:57):
If he does, is it the Giant, is it the Steelers?
Is it the Vikings?
Speaker 3 (04:04):
If it's me, you left out a fourth option, then
that fourth option is just call it a career.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
It's okay. He'll be third forty two. Towards the end of.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
The season, Tom Brady is becoming the exception where guys
think it's normal to play forty forty five like that.
That's not necessarily normal. That is an absurdity, and he,
being Aaron Rodgers, already played an amazing career. Right, He's
been MVP several times over, He's a couple of Super
Bowl appearances. He has a ring. He's we all in
(04:37):
wont super Bowl. I said he has a ring, said
super Bowl appearances, and we considered him one of the
best and one of the most talented.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
It's been underwhelming lately.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
And to use Rob's point of you always talk about
Lebron keep playing. It only hurts it his legacy as
far as you know all these years, why could apply
that to Aaron Rodgers Because it has just not been
great for him the last and full of years. He
hasn't been great, been a shell of himself. And that's okay.
He's about to be forty two. So there is a
fourth option available. And I don't even mean this in
(05:09):
a sarcastic way. You don't have to play. If he
chooses too. He has his right to. But there is
a fourth option, which is to say, hey man, because
he said he wants to win, some of those options
you mentioned don't look like winning options. He's already been
coming off the Achilles and he wasn't horrible last year
if you just looked that touchdowns interception. But if you
look deeper into the numbers. He was bottom in completions,
(05:30):
he was bottom in QBR. I just don't necessarily see
why he has to keep doing this, right, the whole drama,
where am I gonna go? What I'm gonna do? We
gotta do this every year. It's our annual thing in
the offseason. There is a fourth option, and that could
be for be calling a heck of a career, an
amazing career, first ballot, you about to get to yellowjacket
in five years. That is an option Rob that he
(05:51):
may want to series.
Speaker 1 (05:52):
It's not because teams need quarterbacks, and that's what you're not.
It ain't about just Aaron Rodgers. It's about teams needing quarterbacks.
If they had quarterbacks, You're right, Aaron Rodgers wouldn't be
viable for those three teams. There are three teams still
looking for a quarterback. That's why he's other. That's why
his conversation. They could have his if there was no
(06:15):
spot for him, it wouldn't even be his own decision.
If other teams at quarterbacks. The idea that a forty
one year old has three options is incredible to me.
But that tells you the lack of quarterbacks viable. And
if you're the Minnesota Vikings, you just say, we have
this coach, we got a great offensive line, we could
(06:37):
run the football, we have one of the best receivers
in the game. Look at what we just did with
Sam Donald. We could protect Aaron Rodgers in that division.
We don't want to give up fourteen win season and
what we accomplished last year.
Speaker 2 (06:51):
And JJ McCarthy is still learning.
Speaker 1 (06:54):
And I would make the case in Minnesota, JJ, Aaron
said his first three years and he's going to the
Hall of Fame.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
Okay, it ain't the end.
Speaker 1 (07:04):
Of the world if you sit here for one one
year or maybe two. I'm just saying one year or
maybe two and look at a guy Hall of Fame
quarterback and watch him and see what he does and
all this kind of stuff. So so I think that
that's viable. I understand the Steelers the same thing. Mike
(07:26):
Tomlin needs to win a playoff game. He needs it desperately.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
Nine years.
Speaker 1 (07:33):
You heard Shannon Sharp go after Mike Tomlin the other day.
Speaker 2 (07:37):
It's nice, Oh, he never lie to lose the season.
Enough with that, Enough with that.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
He needs a playoff win, which is bad, sad because
you would think you'd be saying he needs a super Bowl. No, no, no,
he needs so bad, he just needs a playoff. And
that's what I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (07:52):
And then again the Giants, once again, the coach, general manager,
their jobs are on.
Speaker 2 (07:58):
The line if they have.
Speaker 1 (08:00):
Another if they have another stinker, right, because they don't
have a quarterback that Daniel Jones, and they go with
what's his name, de Vito?
Speaker 2 (08:08):
What's his Tommy? Yeah? Yeah, right yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
If they go with him and they go four and
thirteen or dude, they're both out. So this is about
preservation for coaches and looking at a situation. If I'm Minnesota, seriously,
I'm saying to myself, look at the division. The Lions
are in the flocks, they lost their two coordinators all
this right, The Bears are getting better, the Packers are there.
(08:33):
We got a chance. We won fourteen last year. We
got a chance. We have all the other pieces in place.
And that's what makes if I'm Aaron Rodgers, despite having
you look like you're doing the Brett.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
Favor again, that is that's a real thing. That's but
that is a.
Speaker 1 (08:50):
Real option for him because the offensive line is so
good because it's not just chase after the quarterback because
they can't run the ball. They can run the ball,
and then you have a receiver who can get open downfield.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
I'm telling you.
Speaker 3 (09:04):
Why Minnesota makes Minnesota makes sense if you're just doing
the paper. Here's the problem with that. I don't believe
they're better. I don't believe he's going to have a
better season than Sam Donald. And they weren't better than
the Lions, and I don't think they will be better
than the Lions.
Speaker 2 (09:16):
I don't think they're better.
Speaker 3 (09:17):
One game difference, and I think it's going to be
a step back with Aaron Rodgers. He is not Sam
Donald at this point.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
He's not. He's not.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
He's nowhere near his mobile at this point in his career.
Coming of offensive line. That's the best part of it.
Speaker 1 (09:32):
That's why Sam Donald was able to get off and
that's why they moved on from him.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
Kelvin. But if it was.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
About Sam Donald, what they said, oh my god, look
at what he did, he would be the quarterback.
Speaker 3 (09:46):
But he doesn't have to be the quarterback, is JJ
McCarthy that's the point. JJ McCarthy, No.
Speaker 2 (09:52):
It's not.
Speaker 1 (09:52):
You just gave up a quarterback that won fourteen games
and for who?
Speaker 2 (09:56):
For who? JJ McCarthy.
Speaker 3 (09:58):
That's the point, j mc They gave it up because
it's the same guy they want up the draft, the
same guy they believe in.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
This is there. You're not talking to Aaron Rodgers at all?
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Why would you talk to Aaron Rodgers?
Speaker 3 (10:09):
Where did Daniel Jones just leave to I need a backup.
I need somebody Aaron Rodgers and I can talk to
somebody I can have a conversation with.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
He's playing.
Speaker 3 (10:18):
Why why do I Why do I want all the
drama that comes with it. All of this is not
gonna be a great leader at a back round. I'm
not trying to get JJ Reddick to be JJ reddick.
I'm not trying to.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
Have JJ McCarty basketball.
Speaker 3 (10:32):
I'm not trying to have JJ McCarthy to be surrounded
with all this getting bad. This is how we do this.
You got all to do all this, and no, I
don't want that. I want this to be kid. The
keys are yours. Here you go. You've got everything you
just mentioned. You've got weapons, you've got great coaching, you
got great running.
Speaker 2 (10:48):
Let's do this.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
You are now the man we sent away and due
that when fourteen games for us at through thirty five
touchdowns because.
Speaker 2 (10:55):
We believe in you.
Speaker 3 (10:56):
I don't need everything that comes with Aaron Rodgers for
a year. What is the point now I will concede.
Maybe the Steelers because I don't know what they're doing.
They should have kept justin fields. They chose not to.
That's their running fields every day. And they have been
bad making the quarterback decisions. And the Bears were bad
too when they got rid of and they have looked
and the Bears that looked horrible.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
And they could have kept them if they believed in them.
Speaker 1 (11:19):
And nobody many tipping, too many people in too many
eyes that looked at Justine.
Speaker 3 (11:23):
And that's the funny part. That's the part I don't get.
So he had them, he was progressing. We still haven't
seen the best of him and given him an opinion,
but it is, That's what I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (11:33):
You want to go to Aaron Rodgers, guy who they
don't want. It doesn't make sense to me, and you
want it. But that's still is. He's sitting right there
and that's fine.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
And the teams make mistakes every single day, Rob And
now you want to bring in airon Rodgers that makes
more sense for the Steelers because to your point, which
I agree with, Mike Totherland and them are like, man,
we gotta win. What's the point when to go eight
or nine and eight, Hey, we didn't go at least
five hundred. So I get why they would want to
consider because they have no choice. They don't want to
bring back Russell Wilson, so he's gone. They gave up.
(12:03):
But justin Fields, he's gone. They have no real choice
but to get Aaron Rodgers Minnesota. It doesn't make sense
to me. You literally got rid of a guy who's
only twenty seven, who could have been productive, was productive
for you for JJ, and that's perfectly fine.
Speaker 2 (12:16):
He's your guy, you believe in him.
Speaker 3 (12:17):
Why am I going to go get Aaron Rodgers all
the chaos that comes with it. Nobody has time for that.
I want to build around my young guy, and the teams.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Are talking to him. You say, nobody has time.
Speaker 3 (12:27):
This is all of those teams giants disappointment, right, what
I mean?
Speaker 2 (12:31):
He wait a minute. The Vikings won fourteen games, and
they because they want to move on to JJ.
Speaker 1 (12:37):
No, but the idea that they're even having conversations and
this has been reported.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
This is not.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Okay, Absolutely kick the tires. Why wouldn't you so? JJ
is the guy.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
My point is that there are three teams that look
at him still viable because of where we are with quarterbacks.
Speaker 2 (12:53):
I told you that I'm not even saying his type you.
Speaker 1 (12:56):
I have kept it real with I know, but I'm
just it's not like there's a plethora of quarterbacks out there.
It just tells you where teams are and in the
NFL without a quarterback going.
Speaker 2 (13:06):
Into a season, your seasons. I don't disagree my season.
The Giants are death. What they're gonna do?
Speaker 3 (13:13):
They have to figure they it's literally him and Russell
at this point, my some you have sat here and
you know I've kept it real and said Aaron wasn't
as bad as people think, as far as it's had
a lot of issues, and but he also wasn't great.
And I don't even think he doesn't have gas in
the tank. I think there's a little bit of gas
live in the tank. I just don't think he needs
(13:33):
to drive the car. At this point, what is he
trying to prove? I'm not gonna be a backup? Aaron
Rodgers is not coming, but that's so, then he has
to be a giant to me or a steeler, because
if I'm the Vikings, I'm just saying he will not
be as though. That's where I don't want him. If
I'm the Vikings, I would pass. I have jjs who
I believe and were ready to go. Let's get this
the J. J. McCarthy tenure. Here we go. You know
(13:56):
that's me, So I'll pass on.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
That, all right?
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Age seven nine on Fox eight seven seven nine nine,
six sixty three sixty nine. Where should Aaron Rodgers wind
up or should he retire? Kelvin says he should reduce
oka this okay, he should just retire or do you

What's up? Sam?
Speaker 8 (17:21):
Hey, guys, what's going on?
Speaker 9 (17:22):
Listen? I take personally. I know people in Minnesota.
Speaker 8 (17:27):
And and just like Aaron Rodgers played.
Speaker 9 (17:29):
In Green Bay, and I really believe Aaron.
Speaker 4 (17:32):
Rodgers is the.
Speaker 8 (17:33):
Personality that he goes to.
Speaker 9 (17:36):
So he went to New York. He wanted to be
all that and then.
Speaker 8 (17:39):
He got distracted by all that comes with New York.
Speaker 9 (17:42):
But basically, you put him back in the Midwest, he's
gonna play just like you played with Green Bay down
the Earth.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
He just smild one of the smartest players ever to
play the game.
Speaker 9 (17:51):
And I and one thing about it is being all
this attention given upon him. That's just what these older
quarterbacks like. I respect what my man says to give
it up. But these guys, they know.
Speaker 8 (18:03):
They only one more time that they were once.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
They want to play man.
Speaker 9 (18:06):
They want to play till they can't so he would
give this team.
Speaker 8 (18:10):
All he had, and I really believe he would.
Speaker 9 (18:14):
Just smold into Minnesota slower place. But it's still got
a lot of.
Speaker 2 (18:19):
Jets honesty that I appreciate it. Thanks for the call.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
How about show Rye in DC? You're on the eye
couple of Fox Sports Radio.
Speaker 2 (18:27):
What's up, show Rye?
Speaker 4 (18:29):
What's going on? Family?
Speaker 6 (18:30):
Man?
Speaker 10 (18:30):
Rock can get better with saying my name every.
Speaker 4 (18:32):
Time I call it.
Speaker 2 (18:33):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (18:33):
I'm supposed to get better. I'm trying to get better,
all right, I'm trying to.
Speaker 4 (18:36):
Do it, Kevin.
Speaker 10 (18:40):
So i'ma be honest with you, right, Like I love
Aaron Rodgers, but at the end of the day, I
feel like he's kind of doing the Brett Barr but
then reverse. Remember when Brett Barb went to Minnesota and
the Jets and he has to look good for the
first half of the season and fell off. Like we're
getting the reverse right where he looks like trash and
then oh, the last five games, it looks kind of
decent unless going to Arizona where he can get some
(19:01):
Ayahuas going a regular Like, I don't know how he's
gonna come out of this. You know, this little funk
that he's in. At the end of the day, it's
time to hang it up. You're only killing your legacy.
Speaker 8 (19:10):
You're a Hall of Famer.
Speaker 10 (19:11):
You're embarrassing yourself now, all right, all.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
Right, all right, yeah, I'm the retirement tray. Come on
over to four thousand one.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
If they get to what Brett Fahr of his last
year of Minnesota got the NFC Championship game.
Speaker 6 (19:23):
That was.
Speaker 11 (19:25):
If he didn't blow it, they go to the Super Bowl.
You do that bad pick like he always does. Let's
go to Drew in New Jersey. You're in the odd
couple of Fox Sports Radio. What's up Drew?
Speaker 12 (19:37):
Hey, guys, I think that I definitely see him going
to Minnesota. I don't think he's a top I think
he's he's probably still a top twenty quarterback, but he's
probably closer to twenty than fifteen. But as far as knowledge,
I think I think the leadership and all that stuff
is way overblown against Aaron Rodgers one.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
Hundred percent.
Speaker 1 (19:57):
That when Aaron Rodgers exposed himsel out for all these
other things, then they all of a sudden cast him
as a bad guy. And that's where a lot of
that comes from. Because he led his team to a
super Bowl when they were a six seed and all that,
and all that, and if you talk to if you
talk to any of his former players, No, nobody bad man.
Speaker 3 (20:19):
That is not true, that is for sure. But there's
there are guys who bad play. And I think Chris
and I, Chris and I used to have. I don't
say Greg Jennings. Greg Greg Jennings loves him. He's what
he loves them. Now you want to drop to your knees.
Speaker 11 (20:34):
Thanks Christ the man, stop it.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
It's worship Wednesday. We none want to be on your
knees and praying to the Lord. Okay, who we got?
Speaker 2 (20:41):
We get one more?
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Is we're trending. We're doing That's it, all right? Thank
you all for the call. Don't forget if you didn't
get through, we got last call. You can get in
a little bit later in on that. Antonio Daniels. On
the other side of what's trending right now, it's Martin White.

we're gonna have one's gotta go here in just a bit.
But right now we have Antonio Daniels, NBA Champion, Serious Sex,
MNBA radio host, Pelicans TV color analysts, Fox Sports Radio,
NBA analysts, always hustling, A Daniels thirty three on X
and Twitter.
Speaker 2 (21:25):
What's up?
Speaker 3 (21:25):
Man?
Speaker 4 (21:26):
What up?
Speaker 2 (21:26):
What up?
Speaker 4 (21:28):
Kelvin? Rob? What's up? Fellas? How you guys doing today?
Speaker 2 (21:31):
Doing great?
Speaker 6 (21:31):
Right?
Speaker 10 (21:32):
Were you?
Speaker 4 (21:33):
I am truly blessed man, truly blessed?
Speaker 2 (21:35):
All right, I want to go right here.
Speaker 1 (21:36):
Last time we talked to you, I think we talked
about the MVP, didn't we? Where are you now in
this MVP race? Because I saw something I never saw
in the NBA, and I've been covering the leagues in
nineteen eighty seven.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
My my MVP front runner hasn't changed. Here's the thing.
If you tell me that your MVP is Nicola Jok,
I will give you a high five, and I will
say to you and I will not tell you you're wrong.
My MVP all year has been say George's Alexander here.
My thing is, if you says the colon Yo gets again,
(22:11):
you have every right to feel that way that thirty
twenty twenty games was incredible, was incredible. But the MVP
is not about one particular game. One game is not
going to see. It has to be over a body
of work along with along with how your team is doing.
And again, Nicola yo Get checks all these boxes too.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Since let me ask you this, how did did then?
How did uh Russell Westbrook whin the uh? When the
MVP with his team was a suc seed. I'm just
going to ask you that.
Speaker 4 (22:43):
Here's my thing. I'm I'm not comparing this to anything else.
I'm not comparing this to Russell Westbrook. But if we
have to talk about it, When Russell Westbrook did it,
it was the first time that had been done since
doctor Robertson did it way back whenever.
Speaker 2 (22:57):
Yeah, and when you twenty the first time it was
done since Moby Dick was a guppy. So yes, I did.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
The difference is, again, this goes to my point. You're
talking about a game, I'm talking about a body of work.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
He's averaging, He's averaging a triple double and that was
a ridiculous. I'm not I'm not trying to say anything
about SGA's had a great year. But I'm not gonna
sit here and go like we saw something. We never
saw this guy's averaging. He doesn't have another All Star
on his roster.
Speaker 4 (23:27):
That stop it with that.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
No, it's a fact. It's a fact, Antonio, give me
name the All Star.
Speaker 4 (23:33):
I'm not doing like this is why this whole Nicola
Jokic doesn't have a team. He doesn't.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
I didn't say that. I didn't say that. I said
he doesn't have.
Speaker 4 (23:43):
An All Star. Stop it, man, stop it.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
You don't gotta fire it up.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Here's the thing. Here's the thing, bron you can make that.
You can make that same argument about Saint Giogs Alexander
before this year. Tanla Williams is the first time All Star.
Nobody else on that team. Nobody else on that team
is an All Star. You could say the fact that
tekos as Alexander is playing with a young team with
no playoff experience. Can't say that about the Kobe Yokis.
(24:10):
You're gonna have pros and cons that basically value your
narrative or that's not a narrative.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
I'm apeaking facts. I don't got a narrative. I don't
care who wins.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
Whatever you consider factual. There's something to counter it that's factual.
Speaker 1 (24:26):
No, I'm just saying I get it. I get it,
And if you're Pickochet, that's fine. But I think for
people who are just discounting it and making it like no, no, no, no,
like making it like it's a fluke, like it's a fluke,
or we've.
Speaker 2 (24:41):
Never seen that. How often?
Speaker 1 (24:43):
I'm just asking you, Antonio, you played in the league,
you're a student of the game, you know the NBA
that that is an incredible thing. When you add it
wasn't like it came out of nowhere, he's playing great.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
Here's the thingness you're doing, rob You're you're discrediting everything.
I'm saying, No, I'm not.
Speaker 2 (25:01):
I would never do that.
Speaker 4 (25:03):
Did I? Did I at one point? Did I at
one point through our conversation this credit when Nakola Yokis did.
Did I at one point even reference to fact that
we've never seen what it that was an incredible basketball game.
Just because I'm saying I'm choosing Sza, that doesn't discount
when Nikola Yokis did that thirty twenty twenty games. Basically,
(25:24):
what you're telling me is, if I don't pick Nicola Jokis,
then I'm not giving value to something that we've never
seen with the thirty twenty twenty game, that's what you're.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Telling me, Okay, I just say it reminds me of
when Westbrook won first time triple double on Long Time SAP.
His team was a sixth seed and people looked at
the value of that and said, man, that's incredible that. Well,
they've won way better at a better winning percentage when
he did do the triple double, right when he when
(25:52):
he scored a triple double, and that's what people looked at. No,
I'm saying when when Westbrook won, even though there was
a six seed, it wasn't like he was getting triple doubles.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
And they were losing, you know what I mean, like
it enhanced the game exactly. That's all I'm saying. But yeah,
the issue, the issue is he's done it.
Speaker 3 (26:10):
He did it again, Russell Westbrook, and and Jokic has
done it now as well. So we've seen Russell do
it now. But it's becoming normal now, which is which
is incredible. I Mean, it's been coming done. It's no
longer historic like it's it's what people do. So that's
the challenge my thing ad has been Also, SGA is
not up to three, four, six, seven, eight games, and
(26:31):
they're up eleven games right now in the standing.
Speaker 2 (26:34):
That's incredible.
Speaker 4 (26:35):
Matter I did. Here's the thing that doesn't matter in
the Western Conference, where the West has been deeper than
it's ever been. See it comes to point and then
I'm not again, I'm not discounting what Nikola Jokic is doing,
but winning has to count for something.
Speaker 2 (26:50):
No, that's why, No, no, no, maybe let's make sure
you're hearing me, because this ain't right. Let me hold on.
Speaker 3 (26:53):
I believe it's SGA, And reason part of why I
believe it is SGA is because he has a team
so far ahead of Yoki, and also he is their
number one defense, and he is one of this.
Speaker 2 (27:04):
Did you see what you said heads the number one
defense the other night? Yeah? I did, okay, And I
saw the night before SGA put a forty something on
their head.
Speaker 4 (27:11):
So I just think, and it's Kelvin, I agree with you.
I agree with what you're saying because it's funny how
when we have these these MVP discussions and talks, how
we pushed one narrative and completely ignored nether one because
what Rob is talking about is when Russell Westbrook one
MVP for average in a triple Devil and you know
(27:33):
what he keeps saying, man, and they finished at sixth place.
Speaker 2 (27:36):
Okay, then a sixth seed. I'm just making a point
that it ain't the best record, that's all.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
That's all I'm making is that the MVP does not
come from the team with the best record, that's all.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
But it has to be coming for something historic.
Speaker 4 (27:46):
Then let's put more value. Then let's put more value
in winning. Then Oklahoma City has completely dominated the West
all year long, and again they've been doing this without
another All Star. Prior to this All Star break. Janda
Williams wasn't an All Star, Alice Caruso wasn't in All Star.
Ted Homer wasn't in af Star, Lou Dor all these dudes.
(28:08):
So the safe argument that you've made for Nicola Jokic, honestly,
you can make for take you to Alexander. He's not
doing this with a team All Star.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
You can argue Jamal Murray might be better understand their job.
Speaker 2 (28:23):
I mean, there was.
Speaker 1 (28:25):
Let's go here, Yeah, let's go to the Celtics. Uh,
they beat up the Lakers, they were down big tonight
they're up. No, they're what they're up to against. Okay, see,
what do you what do you? What do you make
of the of the Celtics and where they are and
that game with the Lakers, and just you know, they
continue to roll on it.
Speaker 2 (28:44):
They're winning the night.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
Now, I'm gonna go hand be honest with you. After
everything I've seen all year long, it is very, very
difficult for me to see a team beating the Boston
Celtics four out of seven times. I agree, I agree,
But again, it's March, so we can sit here talk
about marks madness, right, And this is not a one
off because I know there are many teams that can
go into Boston or you can go into their respective
(29:08):
home arenas and beat Boston on a random Wednesday night.
But the fact is doing it four out of seven
times in June or from the second week of eight ruins,
I just don't see it. They got too much. They
take too many boxes on both sides of the basketball.
Speaker 3 (29:23):
So, okay, ad hold on, now, I'm actually with you
right now, I say they have too many dudes who
can shoot, dribble, pass, and create shot. They have too many.
They have like seven guys that can do that. But
the Cleveland would say, hey, man, don't forget about us.
We've been on a crazy tear. Why can't we do it?
And what would you say to Cleveland?
Speaker 4 (29:40):
And my thing is, I'm not saying that Cleveland can.
They just got to show me. They got to show
me they've had a fantastic gear. I don't want to
take anything away from Cleveland because right now, Kenny Atkinson
would be second in my Coach of the Year voting.
Speaker 2 (29:53):
But with that being said, who would be first? JJ Reddick, No, JB.
Speaker 4 (29:58):
Bickerstaff?
Speaker 2 (30:00):
Does he coach? I don't think he's coaching me. You
meant Chauncey billups Ad right, Yes, I mean I.
Speaker 4 (30:07):
Don't get me started, don't even get me started. Don't
give me started. But yes, Davy Figgerstaff will be my
coach of the year, and see Atkinson would be second.
Speaker 1 (30:17):
Not only does Shack I know he's coaching, but he's
up for Coach of the Year and he doesn't know
he's coaching the Piston chi my g do with that.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Whole thing, outside of it being completely a smack in
the faith for those of us that do our due
diligence around the league is that's a great opportunity to
talk about one of the best stories in the NBA
and bring it to national attention.
Speaker 2 (30:40):
He sat watch boring. I don't watch them. They're boring. Okay,
thank you.
Speaker 4 (30:47):
Yeah, what they have done this year need to be
discussed more. This was the lasting stock of the league
a year ago. And two things can be true. At
the same time. Kenny Atkinson has done a fantastic job.
Speaker 1 (30:59):
What about Kenny? I think he I think that I'm
gonna be honest. The Pistons should have never been as
bad as they were a year ago. And I think,
but I think because Monti Williams really didn't want to coach,
didn't really want that job. He took the money. They
should have never in this league. Antonio, you you do games,
you watch it like crazy. Ain, no way you should
(31:20):
lose twenty eight games in a row and this NBA.
I'm dead serious, Antonia, Am I right?
Speaker 2 (31:25):
Come on? In this NBA? Twenty eight games in a row.
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Rob if you think about it, just not last year.
It's not last year. They got thirty one combined wins
in the last two seasons. It was not simply that
like the reason that I picked JB. Bickerstaff for my
Coach of the Year. It's not because the Detroit Pistons
won fourteen games last year. It's the fact that they
won seventeen games prior to and twenty three games the
(31:50):
year prior to that.
Speaker 1 (31:51):
But if but Cleveland is on a different level. We
know Kenny Atkins breaking can coach.
Speaker 4 (31:57):
I mean, for real, here's the thing, Rock, if we
were to talk about and talk about this before the season,
I was in Cleveland for training camps, right I was
there for training camps. I saw the vibes. Kobe Autman
did a fantastic job at extending everyone, so some of
the questions that they had a year ago they didn't
have anymore. He extended Donovan Mitchell and Isaa Gokoro and
(32:20):
Evan Mobley and Jared Allen, all of those guys. The
thing is, we knew Cleveland was going to be good
coming into this season. They did too.
Speaker 13 (32:29):
Not this good.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
Now, if I was to tell you before the season
that the Detroit Pistons could honestly you have to play
in the playing game and finish in the top six
in the Eastern Conference, you would have told me I
was on something.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Yeah right now, I didn't get to the fourth. They're
tied as far as game's back all the way up
with the Bucks, so we'll see a d man. We
appreciate you as all the way.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
I'm just saying, record for sure, love the conversation.
Speaker 1 (32:55):
Always give me on your NBA show. Let me wake
up up America. Come on, man, let's let me.
Speaker 2 (33:03):
Let's get on all right, He'll get it done. Hed
appreciate you, man.
Speaker 3 (33:10):

options that you we all go around and choose. Rob
g what we got.
Speaker 5 (34:14):
Yeah, guys, I don't know if y'all know this, but
someone we all know had a big bachelor party weekend
last week.
Speaker 2 (34:20):
Just lit.
Speaker 5 (34:21):
I can't tell you exactly what happened, but I can
tell you that the name Ryan will be whispering hush
tones around Arizona, that's.
Speaker 2 (34:27):
Right until the end of time. And I don't know.
Speaker 1 (34:31):
I know he'd had a big thirty six pack of
coke and so that what was up in there, and
he bring that back from Arizona.
Speaker 5 (34:38):
Somebody else in the party brought it back. He brought
it back from Arizona. That's you're over here leaving clothes underwear.
Speaker 2 (34:45):
It's a good point. Yeah, all right, so here we go.
Speaker 3 (34:47):
Hope you've got a six for five son who wears
extra large drawers.
Speaker 2 (34:52):
All right, here we go underwear. Come on, now, it
just sucks.
Speaker 5 (34:56):
Bachelor party's excursions one's gotta go okay number one, the
Gentleman's club, number two, the bar crawl, number three, the
steak dinner, number four, the nightclub slash pool party, and
number five. The sports excurse might be a golf w outing.
In this case, they went to spring training once got
to go. We'll start with you, dub. Wait, hold on
(35:18):
barcrawl night what about night bar, kraft, bar crawl, steak dinner, club,
and to day dinner. That's the one I missed, all
right well on a worship Wednesday. And you know, if
I love the love it the lawyer as well, I.
Speaker 3 (35:32):
Don't want to be right back in the day. The
first option wouldn't be going anywhere gentlemen club. You know,
I understand that it makes it it's some more of
a historical thing. I get that, But hold up, but
that one would have to go for me.
Speaker 2 (35:46):
I did not do that. When I got married.
Speaker 3 (35:48):
We ended up doing a kind of a combination more
so kind of like the sports thing, went golf and
we ended up having paintballing all that. So that one
will have to go for me. But I understand why
historically for people that's kind of been the thing.
Speaker 7 (36:00):
But for me.
Speaker 2 (36:00):
That would have looks disgusted. And I'm not listen.
Speaker 3 (36:05):
I just said, I understand right now, I said, I understand,
I get it. I totally get it. I understand.
Speaker 1 (36:10):
I don't know how anybody steak dinner. That's your bachelor party,
that's your beast.
Speaker 2 (36:17):
Well, usually all these things happen. That's not what I'm
just saying.
Speaker 1 (36:19):
That steak dinner. I mean, come on, I'm not trying
to do a steak dinner. I want greasy wings and
whatever food that comes at.
Speaker 2 (36:27):
I think your magic. You don't want to steak dinner,
you know what I mean? I thought Alex was gonna
make it six years, Rob.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
Alex, you're good. Would you get my point? Like the
steak dinner I could leave out. That's I'm dead serious.
I'd rather have like wings. You want lemon pepper wings, right,
I get it, I understand. I want I want the
wings with hair on it.
Speaker 2 (36:51):
That's what I'm saying. Hold up with hair on it?
Huh hold up?
Speaker 6 (36:56):
Okay, well, Rob, it is true. You can have a
steak dinner anytime you want. Go with your before you
get cashed and spend your life with somebody.
Speaker 2 (37:02):
I'll tell you this.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
Those day poll parties. You know why those just have
to go in general, because I don't think I want
to bathe in people's sweats here after charge like full
of alcohol, nobody knows anything they want to do, and
you're just like a base hot it's musky.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Literally, let go, Alex the nothing have chlorine in the pool?
Speaker 6 (37:21):
Oh god, fluoride chlorine. Don't even got me started on that.
Not out of ten people's bodies shouldn't even be exposed.
It's like, what am I doing here? And this is
how I'm celebrating before I'm locked down for the rest
of my life? Yeah, great job. I'll take two steak
dinners instead.
Speaker 3 (37:34):
All right, all right, Mars getting married sooner than the
look at level?
Speaker 2 (37:39):
Yeah what you got? No, I won't be doing. Yeah,
what's going on? A bar crawl?
Speaker 7 (37:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:43):
Yeah, I went to college too, Like what are we doing?
Like I could go, like just get the drink at
one bar. The Golden Girls bar crawl was amazing. I'm
just saying, wheeling around.
Speaker 14 (38:01):
Rob, I to ask you what I what if the
strip club's got the steak dinner, then what well if
they have it there, Okay, I'll eat the sake if
it's if it's a part of the hold.
Speaker 2 (38:11):
I hate that steak, all right, what's wong want that
Brazilian steak? Nothing?
Speaker 3 (38:15):
Chris Rock always said, you ain't that hungry. Those and
tatter toss don't mix. First Rock had a whole funny
bit on that. But some of the food at strip
clubs and.
Speaker 2 (38:25):
Very good to Rob you. I've done all of them.
Speaker 5 (38:29):
The one that's always consistently disappointed the gentlemen's clubs gotta
go for number of reason. Number one, if you've been
to Jenimen's club, it's like seven guys who look like
Rock Parker sitting there in the car.
Speaker 13 (38:39):
Rubbing their hands on their ge You sick you you
may for someone to come up to them, Rob six
and one of them is Rob rock Parker. Are you
rubbing one of my Robbins's way?
Speaker 2 (38:51):
Like, hey, they're gotta come over here. And that's before
it dance, give me one second, settle down. And then
the other thing is like you can get that for free.
Speaker 5 (38:57):
Now, you don't got to pay sixty one dollars and
singles to get that kind of you know.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
Don't you have that at your house? Your age? Do
it at your house? I know, I'm gonna do that.
Can you do me? Then I get changed one hundred,
but only give me sixty one.
Speaker 6 (39:12):
Can the gentlemen with tearway plans please come for your
hot wags
