Speaker 3 (00:28):
Is it the best time of the year, best.

Speaker 4 (00:29):
Time of the year for me?

Speaker 5 (00:30):
I mean I so many sports and so many things
that happened throughout the year, this time of year nothing
like it the most special time other than Christmas.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
No, but it's I feel like it's a lot of
people's Christmas.

Speaker 4 (00:42):
It is.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
You know what I'm saying. This is the time that
people are like, don't talk to me.

Speaker 2 (01:13):
There is so much to discuss with college hoops, and
I know you love college hoops. I know you love it.
I love it, but you love it to a different
degree I know, And so we have to dive into
it because.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
There's so many angles to discuss today.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
I mean, we have to talk about Rick Patino and
seem Chawn's winning their first Big East tournament titles since
two thousand. I'm sorry, but I love him and you
know him person, so we're we're gonna get to him
because I need to know more about this man who
I love from afar. He doesn't know how I even exist,
So don't worry about it, guys, but I love him.
But let's start with yesterday's game, the SEC semi final Alabama, Florida.

Speaker 3 (01:54):
What were you expecting that outcome.

Speaker 5 (01:57):
No, and I don't think the outcome would have been
the outcome better it was, even though I do think
I think Duke's the best team in the country, but
I also think one A is Florida, and so they
are that good, they're that dynamic. Their point guard Clayton
Clayton Junior is a stud probably the best point guard
in the college basketball game. And so I mean even
the depth around them, they're all really talented and athletic.

(02:20):
They're big, they're athletic, and so I expected them to win,
but not in that fashion. And they wouldn't have I
don't think if Grant Nelson doesn't get hurt for Alabama.

Speaker 2 (02:28):
So so that's a big part of it. But their
defense was very it was in your face. It was great, Yeah,
in your face, and it kind of did seem like
once that injury happened, there was it was too hard
to get out of the hole.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:42):
I mean, if Clayton's going to outplace Sears the way
he did in that game, they're gonna win that game
every time, right, And so they're two of the best
point guards in the league. Series is dynamic and a
great three point shooter, but Clayton just has a different feel.
He knows how to orchestrate. He knows how to get
the guys shots when they need it. He knows how
to get them in their sets. He knows the push,
he knows when to stop. He's just the most all

(03:03):
around point guard. But sears in a one game situation
like the tournament, can be can come back and now
play him in that game.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
So it will be interesting to see.

Speaker 3 (03:11):
And so moving forward into the tournament, you seem very
high on Florida.

Speaker 4 (03:16):
Yes, I think they can win it.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
All.

Speaker 2 (03:17):
You think they can win it And do you feel
that even stronger now with Cooper Flag's injury?

Speaker 4 (03:23):
No, because Cooper Flag's healthy, he's fine.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
You think he's fine.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
They bought Duke.

Speaker 5 (03:27):
Already, already alerted the NA and he's gonna committee that
he's going to play.

Speaker 3 (03:31):
Yeah, okay, but do you think he's fine?

Speaker 5 (03:32):
Though he's fine, he was walking around in a game.
If it was in the tournament, he would have played yesterday.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
So I you know, earlier this week I worked with
Doug Gottlieb and all he mentioned that one of his
players they thought he sprained his foot, walked after walked
and then they found out it was actually broken, right,
and so there's I'm just wondering how healthy really is.
I hope he is, because you know, I'm all about
Cooper flag staying in school for another year and when
he got hurt, and I was like, if he doesn't
play in this tournament, I feel like, does that not

(03:59):
open the door or that maybe he does come back, because.

Speaker 3 (04:01):
How are you gonna finish your college career without going to,
you know, the dance? How is that not going to
be an experience that you have? And so I'm glad
that he's healthy, well you know how healthy. They're probably
never gonna tell us, and I don't care. Everybody wants
him to play.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
So I'm glad to hear that, and hopefully he really
is fully, you know, almost one hundred percent, because that
would just suck for Duke. But let's talk about the
team that Duke defeated not long ago, North Carolina.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Let's get into these.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Bubble teams carry who you know, like North Carolina? What
a lane violation away from time? It's just like, I
don't know, is that bad luck? What is that discipline?

Speaker 3 (04:41):
What was that? But a lane violation away right from time?
The game.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
Yeah, it was one of those I don't know what
the guy was thinking. And it happens for all of us, right,
you get in these like these high intensity moments and
you do stuff that's out of character.

Speaker 3 (04:54):
M M.

Speaker 5 (04:55):
I mean he's he's been such a good player for
them all year and for them to have an incident
like that that happened where their season is literally hanging
in the balance, literally and you step your tol coss.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
The line a little early.

Speaker 3 (05:06):
Just hold your water man, hold you so excited you
want to get it.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
And it's like also, you know, playing against a team
that doesn't have their best player, You're just like, it's
right there, We're right there. And then over whatever you
want to call it, brain fart, just too excited, I
don't discipline whatever.

Speaker 3 (05:23):
Do you think North Carolina is safe?

Speaker 4 (05:26):
North Carolina's not safe.

Speaker 3 (05:27):
It's not safe.

Speaker 5 (05:28):
And today is going to be the part. I mean,
today is an interesting day, right because if any one
of these underdog teams win and steal that automatic bat
from the number one team in that in that conference,
say like a UA B Memphis today, If Memphis loses
that and UAB gets the automatic bid, that's knocking somebody yet,
so North Carolina definitely has.

Speaker 4 (05:46):
To be on high alert.

Speaker 5 (05:48):
I don't even know if they're in anyway, but but
I mean, obviously, with their history, their name, the allure
of having North Carolina in the tournament, that's a that's
a real thing.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I don't it's just about to ask you that because again,
you're a bigger college hoopad.

Speaker 3 (06:03):
Than I am. Does that sway? Does that matter?

Speaker 4 (06:07):
It has to? It has to, so it has to.

Speaker 5 (06:09):
This seem is one of the most story franchises in
all of college college basketball. And for them to be
right on the bubble and you not give them a
chance to compete for that will be hard. But again,
if some of these teams win today, like a UAB
or the or any of these other teams that aren't
the number one season in this conference, is going to
be sweating.

Speaker 3 (06:26):
So North Carolina is sweating today.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
Yeah, I don't even think they're in, but then you don't.
But I'm gonna the benefit of that benefits.

Speaker 2 (06:33):
But they're so they're not enjoying their selection Sunday today.
They're probably okay, all right, all right, let's chat about Texas.

Speaker 3 (06:40):
You know, Longhorns. Three spots behind the tar Hills in.

Speaker 2 (06:44):
Those net rankings, and you know the quad one games.

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I was like, you, guys, there's too much metrics.

Speaker 2 (06:50):
It's okay, all right, So quad one games North Carolina
not great at one twelve, yes, not great at much
better is Texas technically than them? And those squad one games.
I don't know how much value you put into that.
But how do you see the Longhorns here when it
comes to the bubble?

Speaker 5 (07:05):
Yeah, the quad one is funny. I think I like
to look at I like to look at net better. Okay, okay,
So if you look at the net, I bet you
North Carolina has a higher NET than Texas, and so
I think it goes in between both of those like
you have to. Actually, I don't know how the committee
looks at both of those things and which one is
of higher value, but the net seems like it would be.
And also for me, I'm big on the eye test.

(07:28):
If you watch both of those teams, North Carolina, to
be honest, I think if you do the eye test,
I think Texas is a better team than North Carolina
as well. Okay, you watch them play. They have a
lot of guys that can make a lot of plays.
They're very versatile, They're big all around the board, and
so when you watch them and you watch the level
of competition that they played in the SEC, which everybody knows,
they've talked about it all year, I do think Texas

(07:50):
would be picked over un C for me.

Speaker 2 (07:54):
So if you had to pick one over the other, Oh,
it's Texas, you would take Texas.

Speaker 4 (07:59):
Yeah. And it's not because I'm a Duke fan.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Guys, but maybe it is. Maybe it is.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
All right, let's move on to other other two teams
that are in the bubble, you know, going into the
MWC title game.

Speaker 3 (08:11):
I think like Boise State and Colorado.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
State both maybe thought they had cases at a at
large bid, but Colorado State one, Boise State had two
though upsets.

Speaker 3 (08:22):
To get to that title game. Where do you think
they stand?

Speaker 4 (08:26):
Boys State is going to be hard.

Speaker 5 (08:28):
I mean again, if it boils down to UNC Texas
a Boise State first, n Yeah, Boys State is going
to be out.

Speaker 3 (08:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (08:36):
I mean just the level of competition there.

Speaker 5 (08:38):
I'm sure that their net's definitely not higher than any
one of those guys, and they may have more wins obviously,
but yeah, they wouldn't get the they wouldn't get the
nod over those two.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Okay, all right, let's go to the Big twelve tournament.
We got West Virginia. Not a great one and done performance,
not the ideal situation. But going back back to the
Quad one, they have a better record in Quad.

Speaker 3 (09:00):
One then North Carolina. It's again, so many metrics.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
It's like what side do you want to, you know,
dive into. But West Virginia just not a great When
you're one and done, it kind of leaves like about
tasting in your mind, Virginia's done.

Speaker 4 (09:14):
Yes, you gotta you gotta, you gotta win, like those guys.

Speaker 5 (09:19):
If you can't get a couple of wins in the tournament,
in the in your in your tournament, yes, it's just
not gonna happen.

Speaker 3 (09:25):
It's not. Yeah, I'm with you on that one. All right.

Speaker 2 (09:29):
Xavier ends the regular season on a seven game win streak,
although most of the teams ranked in.

Speaker 3 (09:35):
The bottom of the Big East.

Speaker 2 (09:37):
But but hey again, speaking of how how what have
you done for me lately?

Speaker 3 (09:41):
How did you end Xavier?

Speaker 5 (09:43):
Xavier had a really good stretch down down the end
here and they play really well, play some really good basketball,
had some some wins where even though they may not
be huge wins in that conference, they matter. I just
I just don't think Xavier, I just don't think they
would get the bid over Texas on you and see though,
and so I mean, you look at them.

Speaker 4 (10:01):
They have a chance to win some games in.

Speaker 5 (10:04):
The tournament, but they wouldn't make a deep run you
and see, or Texas could get hot and go deep
in the tournament.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
So I would I would take either one of those
over Xaber.

Speaker 2 (10:13):
All right, listen the Indiana Hoosiers they lost to I know,
lost to Oregon.

Speaker 3 (10:18):
They're opening a game of the Big Ten tournament.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Put them back into one into that that debate.

Speaker 3 (10:24):
Should they be in the tournament? Should they not? How
do you feel about Indiana?

Speaker 5 (10:30):
Indiana would be a great story to have in a tournament.
I know their coach, this is his farewell tour. They
played well down the stretch from got some really big wins.
I was expecting them to do better in that tournament though,
and so it's gonna be hard. I mean, I would
like for them with Mike Davis. I would like for
Mike Davis to have a Swan Song type of situation,
get a chance to take a seam to the tournament

(10:52):
and get some wins. So I guess, just from a
nostalgi just standpoint, I would you would get I would
get them a boost.

Speaker 4 (10:58):
Yeah, I'll put them in, But I don't know. I
don't know how that's going to look for them.

Speaker 3 (11:01):
What about Ohio State late season slide?

Speaker 4 (11:03):
They're done. We don't even have to go we don't.
We don't have to go deep into the analysts.

Speaker 3 (11:08):
They're done.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
They're done, four and seven in their last eleven games.

Speaker 5 (11:12):
So another thing about the last what you said in
the last ten, The last ten used to be a
big thing before they switched the metrics, So what have
you done for me lately is a bigger thing. They
don't count that anymore interesting. So it's not about like
your last ten games and how many wins you have.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
So you gotta remember that it.

Speaker 3 (11:28):
Was a thing.

Speaker 4 (11:29):
It was a thing.

Speaker 3 (11:30):
I feel like it should still be.

Speaker 4 (11:31):
It should be.

Speaker 2 (11:32):
Because momentum is a real thing. Momentum vibes all about
is a real thing. So if you are not feeling
it at the end, it's probably going to carry into.

Speaker 3 (11:42):
The big tournament.

Speaker 2 (11:43):
And if you are feeling it, and if you are
doing it, then I would want to see that team,
even if you're it's not the team you're expecting.

Speaker 3 (11:50):
I don't know that.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Carries you know, it's crazy though for the most part,
you're right.

Speaker 5 (11:53):
But I've also seen teams and this is the whole
thing is like it's what's the persona of your team
and your coach and what that means. Right, So I've
seen teams losing the first round of the tournament and
go out and win the championship, and so it's like
there is a strange balance of what matters because I
think some teams and a lot of pundits and people
who are making analysis of these things now are saying

(12:14):
these conference tournaments don't mean as much as they used to,
and people are trying to trying to sway from the
last ten things.

Speaker 2 (12:20):
My question to that is, are those teams teams that
are kind that have been together maybe a couple of years,
and they're a well rounded team and we're just in
a slump because I feel like now with ni L
you're you might have new players every single year. Yes,
it's tough to build off of that. Like you may
have you got a player Cooper Flag who's gonna play

(12:42):
one year and it's done.

Speaker 3 (12:43):
That's the that's what they're saying, three of them.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Right, Like, so it's like I feel like that's Do
you think that's changing because of the money now in college?
I don't.

Speaker 4 (12:55):
I don't know. I do know that chemistry matters. We
know that.

Speaker 5 (12:57):
Course, that's part of what it takes to win, Like
you have to fail some you have to go through
some down moments to actually see what your team is
really made of. Right, So having a tough loss like that,
if your team that's together, I think it's more about
the togetherness of the team. I wouldn't say that it
has anything to do with the one and done situation
because this even I know I talk about Duke a

(13:19):
lot because that's my team. But like these guys, three
of these freshmen would go to the NBA and be
lottery picks, right, But it didn't matter when they came
together right from the start, they just had this togetherness.
And you can watch that team and actually see that
even though it's a lot of Cooper flag talk.

Speaker 3 (13:36):
He's not alone. I mean they literally won without him.

Speaker 5 (13:38):
He's not And so you actually get to see when
you sat down other people elevate their games to where
they could play and where you could see them being
the same standout person that he is now.

Speaker 4 (13:48):
Cooper's a little different.

Speaker 5 (13:49):
He does a lot of things well, but people in
their roles, like in Isaiah Evans slim he steps up.
He's one of those guys that comes up the bench
as a sixth man, as a shooter, but he's way
more than that. If you him with the ball in
his hands, he can do a lot of the same things.
But you got to buy into the team system early
and often. And that's why I think the teams that
win they have that they have.

Speaker 2 (14:08):
Of course, no, but chemistry does matter and sometimes you
can get it a lot faster than another situations. Okay,
I don't want to put you on the spot here,
but in your opinion, and I know we still have
to see between Florida and Tennessee the SEC final leader today,
but who.

Speaker 3 (14:23):
Should the number one overall seed be?

Speaker 4 (14:25):
The number one overall seed is Duke?

Speaker 3 (14:27):
Is Duke? No questions?

Speaker 2 (14:28):
Ask?

Speaker 4 (14:28):
Yeah, I mean Auburn. I know, I know.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
I just said it doesn't matter how you played in
your last ten but that's the committee, not meaning that's right.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Auburn has lost three of the last four games.

Speaker 3 (14:38):
Yeah, you can't be.

Speaker 5 (14:40):
The number one overall seed losing three of the last
four games.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
That just doesn't sound right. Now they're still a number
one seed.

Speaker 5 (14:45):
I mean the number one overall of course, would be
Duke in my opinion one a sec. They actually beat
Auburn as well, so they had to hit the head matchup.
I would go Auburn. That's the number two, number one,
the two the second number one seed. The third number
one seed would be Florida, Florida. And I actually could
I switched those too, I could pup if Florida wins today.

Speaker 3 (15:02):
Yes, you would put Florida it's.

Speaker 4 (15:04):
The second wow.

Speaker 5 (15:05):
Yeah, And I have Alburn as the third one, and
then the last one.

Speaker 3 (15:09):
Would Yes, this is correct, that's the last one, okay.

Speaker 2 (15:12):
And then so if Tennessee beats Florida, that's what your
order change.

Speaker 3 (15:18):
Auburn would be to the second and then okay, all right, okay,
you're really high on Florida. Okay, I'm just gonna keep
them when I fill out my bracket. When I feel
out my bracket, I have Carrie Roads in the back.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
Of my head.

Speaker 2 (15:26):
Florida, the Florida, Yes, all right, yeah, So much to
so much really that we can dive into.

Speaker 3 (15:33):
But like I said, I mean.

Speaker 2 (15:34):
We could talk about you see San Diego heading to
the NCAA tournament for.

Speaker 3 (15:38):
The first time in school. That must be so exciting.
We had another one right North high Point.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
I wasn't say North Point high Point, high Point at
North Carolina. That's why I said North because it's out
of North Carolina must be one of the most exciting things.
But also, you know, winning the Big East Tournament title
for the first time since two thousand for Saint John's
must be so exciting.

Speaker 3 (16:01):
Big Rick Energy, Big Rick Energy, Big Rick. You have
to buy into it. Whatever he's selling, I'm buying.

Speaker 5 (16:11):
Yes, he is a master motivator, Yes, master motivator and manipulator.
And I said that in the most kind way, because
you have to maneuver and kind of finesse and sometimes
stretch and pull these players and these young men's egos,
and he is really.

Speaker 4 (16:31):
Good at it.

Speaker 5 (16:31):
I mean I was when I went to Louisville. I
went to Louisville to play both sports, and so I
was going to play under, yeah, under under Denny Krum
and son. My first my first year was Denny Crumb
he retires, incomes Rick Patino, and I'm just so excited.
I'm like, I'm about to play basketball for Rick Potato
and I'm about to do all these things and for

(16:54):
me personally, my coach, John oh Smith wouldn't let me
play both. I had to choose one, and so I
I stuck with football, I think very wise. Yes, yes,
But I practiced with the team a lot, and so
I would be around. I would see how he pushed
the guys and got the best out of them. One
of my best friends still in life played with them
and they had a deep run there.

Speaker 4 (17:12):
But he's just such a good coach. I mean, he
talks a big game, but he.

Speaker 5 (17:17):
Actually understands exus and oles knows how to put guys
in the best situation. And number one, just he knows
how to manage and take care of players and get
the best out of him. And it's just remarkable to
see and all of his stops he's won.

Speaker 2 (17:30):
You know the video circulating recently within the last month
of that speech he gives to his team that was
it's not like a hidden recording or anything.

Speaker 3 (17:40):
It's going to be on something, right that speech. When
I heard it, I was like, teary eye.

Speaker 2 (17:44):
I was like, yes, yes, please real coaching, real coaching.
I know I had tough coaches growing up and like
my club teams and whatnot.

Speaker 3 (17:54):
And the big thing is like.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
You can be tough and you can be quote unquote manipulative, right,
but there's a fine line where you don't disrespect.

Speaker 3 (18:04):
And I felt like he's not disrespecting anybody here.

Speaker 2 (18:08):
He is speaking the truth and he's trying to light
a fire up your ass for a reason, but said
it with like passion and again not degrading, not disrespectful,
And there's a very fine line that you have to
learn to balance. And I when I was like, yes,
that that is exactly how I would want my if
I had kids or anything, like how my kids to

(18:30):
be coached and spoken to like like adults.

Speaker 3 (18:33):
And also like let's keep it real. What what are
you guys doing?

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Yeah? Where have you guys come from?

Speaker 3 (18:38):
Where have you?

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Who raised raised you?

Speaker 3 (18:40):
Who raised you?

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Think that.

Speaker 3 (18:43):
So good? Like, come on, get out of my face.
I love it so much.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
He is He's a god man. Rick is a god.

Speaker 3 (18:51):
Please tell him big Rick energy is how.

Speaker 4 (18:54):
I won't say it that way, but I will say, Rick,
what's up.

Speaker 3 (18:58):
Big Greg energy.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
Is how we all should be living our life at Carrie,
I just you know, I want to keep talking about
college hoops, which we will, but I also I gotta
tell Aaron Rodgers, like, get out of my face, bro,
what are we doing?

Speaker 3 (19:14):
And we're gonna get to that. Carrie.

Speaker 2 (19:15):
On the other side, you are listening to Fox Football Sunday.

Speaker 1 (19:19):

Like basketball, Tractor Supply knows that a winning season takes practice, teamwork,

(19:53):
and can and a can do attitude.

Speaker 3 (19:55):
It's Bracket Challenge season.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah, be sure to complete your bracket at Fox Sportsradio

Speaker 3 (20:24):
It's all sponsored by Tractor Supply for Life out here
all right, before we talked about Aaron Rosers, because I
want to talk about Aaron Rodgers bracket. How many brackets
do you fill out?

Speaker 4 (20:34):
Oh? Just one?

Speaker 3 (20:35):
Just the one, just the one here, the one here,
and that's it.

Speaker 4 (20:38):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (20:38):
I know.

Speaker 2 (20:39):
I when I first started doing brackets, I think the
very first time I made I may have done like
two or three, and then I didn't like it.

Speaker 3 (20:45):
I felt like I cheated. I felt dirty. I was like, no,
this isn't the way to go. You gotta do one
and you got to stick to it. Yeah, and I
want it on a sheet.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
I want it, Yes, I want it on So this
expansion of the tournament happening, I'm like, if it doesn't
fit on one sheet, I'm gonna be mad.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Like you can expand it all you want.

Speaker 2 (21:04):
But a better fit on one.

Speaker 3 (21:07):
Sheet that I can print and I have carry around.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
You know what, sounds like CBS studio. They just want
one sheet.

Speaker 5 (21:13):
They don't want anything extra, No no pictures, no no video,
just the one sheet.

Speaker 2 (21:19):
I don't think Aaron Rodgers wants one sheet. He wants
everything and.

Speaker 5 (21:23):
Then some here you go, Oh my goodness, yes, yes,
he says here, Okay, he.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
Just wants he just wants his words.

Speaker 3 (21:32):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's it's okay. Crack me if I'm wrong.
Is he getting paid by the drugs? Is he is?
He is?

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Because he was, He's not getting He just got his
guaranteed money, which was what seventy five million?

Speaker 5 (21:46):
What was?

Speaker 3 (21:47):
Okay?

Speaker 2 (21:48):
Okay, okay, so you already got money. And I know
Aaron Rodgers that you're a multi m VP. I know
you are a Super Bowl winner.

Speaker 3 (21:58):
I get that.

Speaker 2 (21:59):
In fact, I was very for Aaron Rodgers and the
Jets being successful. I thought it would have been a
really cool story. And then literally three.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Snaps, four snaps into the first season over literally and
then he comes back, and I still believe in the Jets.
I thought the Jets would make the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
I actually bumped the Buffalo Bills out at the start
of the season and how stupid am I?

Speaker 3 (22:23):
But whatever. What I'm trying to say here is like,
I actually have.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Nothing against Aaron Rodgers in general. I was rooting for
him to succeed. But now here you are, my guy.
All you've done the last two years is my guy.
All you've done is age and get hurt. That is
what you have done. So the reports that I hear
that he wants like the same money that Sam Darnold had,

(22:51):
that he just got what one hundred million in three
years from the Seahawks. Some like that, right, report saw
that that's what he wants. And it's still unsure whether he's
going to be a Viking, whether he's going to be
a Steeler.

Speaker 3 (23:02):
I think the.

Speaker 2 (23:02):
Giants might still be in the mix. But it's like,
add on, come on, you can't be asking for that much.
Anybody who is willing to take you on. You should
be like, oh, thank you so much. I will be
so much better this year, thank you. And I'm just like, there,
you are definitely at the end of your career. And

(23:22):
I wouldn't retire either if I could still play, right,
I mean, like, let's be real, but how can you
demand something when it's you're probably going to just be
good at best.

Speaker 3 (23:37):
I mean, please tell me.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
I'll tell you this.

Speaker 5 (23:40):
If you were to be really excellent at your job
for a long time and there was an opportunity for
you to continue to do that job at the highest level.
Now your production may have declined just a little bit,
but just a little bit, just a little bit, it's
just a little bit, But you're worth and the time

(24:01):
and the effort you put into that company or that
job or that thing you're doing, and you got paid
for it for a long time. But the value of
that job has risen. Right like the numbers that were
afforded to your the generation that you worked and you
started off in your career was here, it was a
different level. And now it's at this craziest balloon to

(24:23):
this crazy number where the worth of that individual doing
that job has gone up. And you know your worth,
and you know your accolades and you know your history.
Would you go and play or go be part of
that job for less money? Just you as as as
a professional.

Speaker 2 (24:39):
I think I would hope that I would come to
the realization of my worth in that moment. And it's like,
you're right that position is so valued, right, But it's like,
are is he playing like those players that we see now?

Speaker 4 (24:55):
Is he or better than him? You think, what do
you think? Just personally seriously, like.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
I, you know, I want to say no. I want
to say no, but for for this, for.

Speaker 2 (25:08):
Like in recent years with Sam Sam Donald fell off
at the end of the season. Of course he did,
but he definitely took the vikings two levels that I
don't think people thought. So that's what's most that's what
we remember right now.

Speaker 3 (25:23):
And that's right now.

Speaker 2 (25:24):
I feel like Aaron Rodgers, make it do something this
year and then you can go and demand your money.

Speaker 3 (25:29):
I just feel like you have you can't demand it.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
For this year and and and and you're lucky that
it's a what they call a bad quarterback class.

Speaker 4 (25:37):
Yes, that's also.

Speaker 3 (25:38):
That's the other thing.

Speaker 2 (25:39):
It's it's helping in your favor to But I I'm
just like that type of money asked for money.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
I I jokingly said to.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
You, and you know, off the break, I was like,
a dollar is enough.

Speaker 3 (25:48):
I didn't. I was jokingly saying that I get paid.

Speaker 2 (25:52):
I'm just like, you want this much money and I
don't get it, and you've I know, the history matters
of what he has done, who he is, and when
you ask him about Sam Donald's.

Speaker 3 (26:01):
Like or like. No, but I think I would take
Sam Donald for this year. If it was like one
or the other, I think I would take Sam Donald.

Speaker 4 (26:09):
I understand, I understand that would be a preference.

Speaker 5 (26:11):
Yeah, but I would I would get for one because
this again, is he asking for a multi year contract.

Speaker 3 (26:20):
Yeah, I think it's like similar to Sam Donald.

Speaker 4 (26:23):
The whole three years, Yeah, one hundred. That wouldn't give
him that much either.

Speaker 5 (26:26):
Yeah, but I mean, if it's a one year deal,
prove a deal, he can get that same thirty million
dollar number that Sam Donald has or whatever, and I
would give him that.

Speaker 3 (26:34):
For one year and then maybe I would be okay
with that. But even it's like you could probably take
like twenty five million, you know, Like, I just I'm surprised.
I mean, am I surprised that Aaron Rodgers is being
Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
And do you know are you surprised? Let me take
it all back. I don't, I'm not surprised. I'm not surprised.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
I guess I'm surprised that people are entertaining it.

Speaker 4 (26:53):
Yeah, that's that's my thing.

Speaker 3 (26:55):
Maybe that's what I'm surprised.

Speaker 5 (26:56):
You don't have to inter Yes, he did not have
to to interject yourself in that conversation at all.

Speaker 4 (27:02):
Yeah, if you're tired of that situation, move.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
On if you're tired, right, and clearly people are interested
because I those three teams need a quarterback, yes, because
I know JJ McCarthy is expected to take over at
some point, but that's at some point you need somebody
else to come in and and and guide him a
little bit.

Speaker 4 (27:20):
And who else?

Speaker 3 (27:20):
Who else? Aaron Rodgers?

Speaker 4 (27:23):
Who else?

Speaker 3 (27:24):
Battle battle battle? Not for three years or this Darnald
deal that he got at seat in the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (27:30):
Not for three years?

Speaker 3 (27:31):
No, no, no, because one year because you're aging and
your last two years were not great.

Speaker 2 (27:36):
They were not great. So like, unless you change our minds,
which you know, this is all Tom Brady's fault. This
is all I blame all of this on Tom Brady
for being.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
Successful after the fact. Yes, at his age.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
See now everyone thinks they could be after the fact
at an older age.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
This is all Tom Brady.

Speaker 2 (27:51):
But you're right, I guess it's more that maybe it
is the teams that I should be yelling at not Aaron.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
He wants you to pay for Aaron. I take it
all back around.

Speaker 4 (28:00):
You're right, it's.

Speaker 2 (28:01):
The it's the teams that I'm upset about. All right,
let's check in with Isaac. He did tell us what's
going on in the world of sports? Are you still
being bothered over there?

Speaker 4 (28:11):
I'm dying over here. I'm not dying over here.

Speaker 3 (28:13):
Please?

Speaker 6 (28:14):
Please, can we trade studios?

Speaker 2 (28:17):
Watch? Please, mister Steve Hartman in the anchor studio right now,
just give me some words of encouragement to Isaac.

Speaker 4 (28:28):
With his hand. He's a puppet.

Speaker 3 (28:30):
He's like a little cheerleader.

Speaker 4 (28:32):
Are you have been Toiloquist today? It's not my back.

Speaker 6 (28:35):
I'm worried about Carrie.

Speaker 4 (28:36):
It's my ears.

Speaker 3 (28:40):
No, everyone's great on this Sunday. Oh my goodness, Isaac,
be careful. He's right behind you.

Speaker 6 (28:47):
I can stab myself on the back, Thank you, Steve.
I've done that multiple times during my career. All right,
guess what we have some fresh NFL news on this
Sunday somewhere.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
Not yet.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
Unfortunately, it's not enough to even shut apartment up. The
New York.

Speaker 6 (29:04):
Jets signing free agent defensive tackle Derek Noddy after seven
seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs the Baltimore Ravens, signing
former Cowboys quarterback Cooper Rush to a two year deal
to back up Lamar Jackson College hoops. In the IVY
League Championship game, Cornell of twenty eight to twenty six
over Yale with four oh seven left in the first

(29:25):
half at the top of the hour of the SEC
Championship game between fourth ranked Florida and number eight Tennessee.
On Saturday Night, in the MAC Championship Game, Akron defeated
Miami of Ohio seventy six to seventy four to advance
to the NCAA Tournament. Akrons Nate Johnson the game winning
layup with two seconds to go. And the Big West
Championship Game, you see San Diego defeated do you see

(29:46):
your Vine seventy five to sixty one. Triton's going into
the NCAA Tournament in their first year of eligibility after
transitioning from Division two. Finally, in the NBA Saturday Night
we have arguably the best SoundBite of the NBA season.
It came after Detroit lost to Oklahoma City one thirteen
to one oh seven. As Detroit head coach J. B.

(30:09):
Bickerstaff not amused with the quality of the officiating in
the contest. Here was his epic rant, including table pounding
and box score crumpling.

Speaker 7 (30:21):
I'm disgusted by the way that game was officiated. The
level of disrespect was above and beyond right. We're growing
young players, our young players are competing their tail off.
The least that they could do is get the same
respect that everybody else in this league gets and get
refereed the same way that everybody else.

Speaker 4 (30:39):
In this league gets trapped. And enough is enough of it.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
And what you saw tonight was disgusting.

Speaker 7 (30:45):
It was a disgusting display of disrespect towards our guys.

Speaker 4 (30:48):
And what we're trying to do. Crumple that box score, now, JB.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
Crumple, it got a bad Is that the sheet?

Speaker 4 (30:56):
The one sheet was the box score?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Back to you, guys, I mean that that is shake
yield justs Alexander forty eight points, the master flopper, the
master really though, really the like for real?

Speaker 3 (31:09):
And it's again, do you hate the player? Do you
hate the game? Right?

Speaker 2 (31:12):
Like?

Speaker 3 (31:12):
Should you blame? Thank you? I love, we appreciate you
so much.

Speaker 8 (31:16):
He's back at he's blocked he's blocked the door.

Speaker 3 (31:22):
Yeah, boxed out from get good luck, good luck turned
off the mic, so we don't hear you two fighting.

Speaker 4 (31:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Uh do you hate the player? Do you hate the game?

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Because obviously obviously shake Gil Alexander's at the first to
do this.

Speaker 3 (31:34):
We could go back to James Harden, right, like forcing
that call to be made. Uh, but some people argue that,
like sg A hasn't earned that.

Speaker 2 (31:45):
Yet, that call, right, Yeah, because he gets the whistle.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
He gets the whistle every time than anybody star anybody.
He's and and like he is really good. And now
obviously that's part of.

Speaker 2 (31:58):
It, but it is you know when I see games
and like it's impossible to watch all the games, right,
but when you catch highlights and then you do see like,
oh he shot twenty seven free throws.

Speaker 3 (32:09):
Oh okay, that's ridiculous.

Speaker 4 (32:10):
Yeah, it's crazy.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
And it's not one game that's it's it's a consistent
that he tends to shoot a lot of a lot
of free throws, typically more than the opposing team.

Speaker 5 (32:19):
And what makes it worse when you watch, okay see
play against teams the fact that he gets filed on
those little soft or fluky files and they go out
and they assault the other team. Yeah, like they're very physical,
so it just doesn't add up esthetically either.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Yes, yeah, I hate it, but I feel like the
league has to do something about that. Like I I
it's annoying to watch it is, but I don't blame
SGA for taking advantage if he's within the game. Like
it's like, the league has to stop that. The league
has to stop this.

Speaker 3 (32:55):
I don't know how. I mean.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
I said it that if you flop you you should
be suspended for a game forever.

Speaker 4 (33:03):
Game said retire and hang I heard you. I remember that.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
No, No, absolutely not speaking of some flops. There were
some petty things that have happened in sports the last
couple of weeks, and in honor of snow White coming out,
which I'm not going to watch because it doesn't look
very snow White.

Speaker 3 (33:25):
Nobody, it's not snow White name, it's something else.

Speaker 2 (33:28):
So instead of the fairest of the mall, the pettiest
of them all, we're going to talk about that next
year at Fox Sports Radio.

Speaker 3 (33:35):
Yeah, Doless, Fox Sports Radio. It is Fox Sports Sunday.
I am Monti Belanya.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
It's alongside former All Pro safety carry Roads. Thank you
for hanging out with us on this selection Sunday.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
Yes is this?

Speaker 2 (33:50):
Are you gonna like go home and like celebrate that
and like be ready like sitting.

Speaker 5 (33:53):
Oh, I'm going to sit down and go watch the
rest of the games after we get done here to
see who's where. And I do want to see where
Duke get seed it because they have a history of
playing really well when they get seated out East, and
so with the number one overall seed, they'll get that
East region and yeah, we'll be we'll be.

Speaker 4 (34:09):
Off and running.

Speaker 3 (34:11):
You don't want to see Duke in Florida?

Speaker 4 (34:13):
I do? I actually do. That would be fun, you do?

Speaker 5 (34:16):
I think that if I think Duke Florida, Duke Albyn
would be a who's who of college basketball.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
And I think everybody will be excited for that final.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (34:27):
In case you missed the start of our show, you
should go back and listen. In fact, shortly after the show,
our podcast is going to be going up, So if
you miss any of today's show, be sure to check
out the podcast. Just search Fox Sports Radio wherever you
get your podcasts, and be sure to follow review the podcast.

Speaker 3 (34:39):
Just give it five stars. I mean, why not again.

Speaker 2 (34:41):
Just search Fox Sports Radio where you get your podcasts,
and you'll see today's show posted right after we get
off air. And it's because Carrie and I dive into
these teams, and Carrie is really high on Florida.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
I am he is, but he's a Duke fan.

Speaker 2 (34:53):
So as I'm surprised you would like to see them
face each other.

Speaker 3 (34:57):
I mean you want a good game, yeah, you want to.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
I want the best versus the best.

Speaker 5 (35:00):
I don't want some Cinderella to get in and Dan
lose about thirty because that that happens a lot.

Speaker 4 (35:04):
I know that Cinderella.

Speaker 3 (35:05):
Stories for those Yes, it's great.

Speaker 5 (35:08):
Up until like the final four. I agree that the
final four. You want you want the best team to play.

Speaker 3 (35:13):
It's true. It's like you want you want that team
to get eliminated in the Sweet six. Yeah, for sure,
for sure.

Speaker 2 (35:23):
Uh So, I feel like the last couple of weeks
there's been a lot of like petty uh moves done
by certain people, certain teams.

Speaker 4 (35:32):
Most you guys can see her head movie, she says, Petty.

Speaker 2 (35:34):
So I was like, you know, again, in honor of
snow White coming out instead of the fairest of the
mall We're not gonna watch it because it's not snow White.

Speaker 3 (35:40):
It's a different movie and I don't know what it is.
We're gonna do the pettiest.

Speaker 2 (35:43):
Of them all here, and uh shay, Chris, if you
guys want to jump in on this, Isaac the pettiest
of them all the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 3 (35:51):
I'm gonna give you guys some some options.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Rory McElroy taking that phone away from the kid who
like said something to him. Yeah, just walked over, grabs
a ball, walks away, does nothing with it. Eventually the
kid gets the phone back, and the kid does say
he's sorry because he's a golfer and he understands what
he did. But pretty petty, pretty petty, right? Dan Hurley
upset that Creighton dunked when they got He got all mad,

(36:15):
but didn't he like to Creighton the other time showed
like two rings, two fingers.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
Did I like Dan Hurley? But getting mad over that dunk,
which I get the game was over. They didn't need
to dunk. I thought a little petty on Dan Hurley's side. No,
am I tripping on that one?

Speaker 4 (36:31):
No, it's definitely.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
Definitely petty, right, Okay, great Gray what about Michigan players
standing on Michigan State's logo on Senior Night. When the
Michigan State players tend to go, they get supped out
for the last time they kissed their logo.

Speaker 3 (36:45):
Michigan players just stood there.

Speaker 4 (36:47):
You know what, you know what helps to take alleviate that.

Speaker 3 (36:52):
Right, But they did that they were losing, Michigan loss.

Speaker 4 (36:54):
Get out of the way exactly.

Speaker 9 (36:55):
Well, I would say the petty is the coach at
the end, pretending that during the pres conference he didn't
know that this was a tradition, the traditions for Michigan
says that's the past.

Speaker 3 (37:04):
We're going to add that one to We're gonna you're right,
you are so right. I like that, Chris.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
And also I think Michael Parsons was a little petty
in his response.

Speaker 5 (37:12):
He's petty all the time, all the time. He needs
to focus on playing football.

Speaker 3 (37:16):
He needs to focus.

Speaker 2 (37:18):
But I like, Okay, so out of those five, I
like that the coach, the Michigan coach saying that I
didn't know about this thing that they do for twenty years.

Speaker 3 (37:28):
I didn't know this was a tradition for twenty years.
For twenty years.

Speaker 2 (37:31):
And when he I don't know if you heard him,
but he like said to them, to the reporter's back,
he was like, are we not allowed to stand there?

Speaker 3 (37:36):
No, are we not allowed to stand there? And it's like,
that's not the point. That's what we're talking about. Dude,
get out of my face. Get out of my face.

Speaker 2 (37:43):
So out of those five, who is the pettiest Rory McElroy,
Dan Hurley, Michael Parsons, Michigan players or the Michigan coach.

Speaker 5 (37:54):
Rory McElroy is the pettiest for sure, Like what are
you doing? I mean it's a kid obviously trying to
get your attention because he looks up to you. I mean,
remove the thick skin, remove the emotion. You're a professional
player to get pays a lot of money. There's won
a lot of a lot of majors. Relaxed, laugh at that.
Move on, don't take his phone with no game plan.

(38:14):
He took the phone with no game plan. What is
he gonna do with the phone?

Speaker 3 (38:17):
That's the best part of it is that he didn't have.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
A plan after that and the kid, even the kid
just had his phone out. It was almost like he
was presenting it to him and he's like, give me
the phone and the kids doesn't stop it. I think
he's just surprised that Rory McElroy went up to him, right,
And so I you know, I.

Speaker 9 (38:34):
Think he's expecting like a selfie or something, or like
something something nice with it, not that you're just gonna
take the phone away, maybe that.

Speaker 2 (38:41):
He's gonna yell at him or say something to him.
But he like just says like, give me your phone.
And then the guy like is like, this guy's taking
my phone.

Speaker 3 (38:50):
I would not.

Speaker 2 (38:51):
I don't think it's Actually that was so funny, petty
and funny.

Speaker 4 (38:54):
Yes, you know what's the most petty for you?

Speaker 2 (38:57):
I think I'm gonna. I think I'm glad Chris brought
up the coach. I'm gonna I'm gonna see the coach
and the Michigan players. That whole ordeal really bothered me, really,
I thought it was so petty you lost. If you
would have been winning the game, maybe I maybe I
sided with you being able to stand there.

Speaker 9 (39:14):
Maybe it's not fun with big brother when little brother
gets it up on you.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
No it's not, but I don't care. Get out of
the way. You've lost.

Speaker 2 (39:21):
And so I feel like all of that was so
petty and the coach maybe takes it.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
So Actually, Chris, thank you for bringing that. That's really
really I think the Roy McElroy was funny.

Speaker 4 (39:33):
No, Rory is petty.

Speaker 5 (39:35):
If you're gonna take the phone, throw it, throw it
in the lake or something, do something, do something memorable.
Not take it and didn't hand it back.

Speaker 2 (39:40):
By Jason Kelsey like Jason throw the phone.

Speaker 3 (39:42):
All right, don't go anywhere. There's so much more here

Speaker 2 (40:36):
I'll be here yea, And I'm sure we'll We'll hang
out during March Madness as we tend to do, and
watch some games, see how your duke, your duke team does,
maybe Florida. There's so many great stories when it comes
to college basketball.

Speaker 3 (40:50):
This season.

Speaker 2 (40:51):
I feel like there were so many throughout the regular season,
so many upsets.

Speaker 3 (40:57):
Like every weekend it was like, oh, the most upset
that's we've seen an NCAA.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
I felt like I can and it's awesome, Like you
just truly didn't know what was going to happen. So
you what were you the most surprised about this season
in college troops?

Speaker 5 (41:14):
I mean the most surprising. It's actually they're actually correlated.
They're tied together. So one coach actually coached at this
team and now he's at the other team. That I
think is one of the biggest stories as well. And
it's a combination of the two, it's Louisville and Saint John's.

Speaker 3 (41:29):
Mmm.

Speaker 5 (41:30):
Rick Betino obviously had his hand on both of those organizations,
both of those schools, but I mean Louisville the past
two years, I think combined they want six games.

Speaker 4 (41:42):
I could be off, it could be twelve. It's six
or twelve.

Speaker 5 (41:45):
And I went to a game last year, and I
tell you, this is one of the most proud basketball
collegiately programs in the country.

Speaker 3 (41:55):
Like the school that's school in general, right, like.

Speaker 5 (41:58):
The young center is jumping right. I went to a
game last year when Kenny Payne was the head coach there,
and it felt like a junior varsity game. Nobody was
in the stands, there was no emotion. And from lois
this is a story program. And to see what Pat
Kelsey has done in year one there with just his mentality,

(42:19):
his approach, the transfers he brought in actually fits the
school and fits hits what he wants to do, and
to see them represent themselves to the what they did in
the a SCY Tournament yesterday against against a really really
talented dude team, that's one of the most phenomenal stories
of the year. But then also the piggyback with that
Saint John's is right there. They having won what the
conference Arman since two thousand, one thousand, and to win

(42:41):
it this year with Rick Patino after only two years,
another great story.

Speaker 3 (42:44):
So I'm with you obviously.

Speaker 2 (42:47):
I in the first hour, we discussed how much I
love Rick Petino. I would love for him to yell
at me. I would handle that very well.

Speaker 3 (42:54):
I'm all about it. I love Bill Belichick. I just
you know, we discussed it's like.

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Be straight with us, because we'll handle all that better
than you beating around the bush on whatever you're trying
to tell me. And so we appreciate those tough coaches
or tough people in your life. If you have friends
who hold you accountable, that's a great thing. Yes, Yes,
your friends should hold you accountable. Your your siblings, your
parents hold them accountable. Your coworkers, right, Harry, Yes, we
hold each other accountable, and.

Speaker 3 (43:19):
That's a good thing. Not everyone can handle that.

Speaker 2 (43:22):
So it's just, you know, it's a it's a something
that Rick Patino does really well, that balance, Like he
seems to know how to speak to his team and
do it in a way where you feel inspired.

Speaker 4 (43:34):
You got to know your guys. You got to know
your people.

Speaker 5 (43:37):
You gotta know your coworkers to be able to actually
press that button for them.

Speaker 4 (43:42):
Right.

Speaker 5 (43:42):
So the level of commitment, the level of intuitive like
that nature that he has to know the temperature of
his team is a real thing.

Speaker 3 (43:51):
And know it at all times, all the time, because
it changes. The temperature changes. Are you guys on a
winning streak? That temperature is probably really cool?

Speaker 4 (43:58):
Exactly?

Speaker 3 (43:59):
Did you all of a sudden and have a bad
first half? It gets hot real quick and it real quick.

Speaker 2 (44:05):
All right, Nelly coming in and clutch right here, So
call me crazy, I feel crazy.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
I thank you. What is a team?

Speaker 2 (44:14):
I'm gonna tell you what team I think has like
like a team I wouldn't want to see in the tournament.
Not that they're gonna win, but you know, I'm like,
we'll get into in the NBA too, with some dark horses.

Speaker 3 (44:25):
I would not want to see b Yu. I know
they just got killed by Houston.

Speaker 2 (44:30):
I know, I actually yea. They seem to not be
able to take down Houston. I feel like the last
couple of years it's been like that. But I would
not want to face b Yu. That's a there's something
about them. They seem like they're in sync, you know,
like they're fun to watch. And that's just to me,
that's that's one team where it's like, I know, you're
not You're not supposed to win. I don't even know how.
I feel like that loss might even bump them up

(44:51):
a seed or two. Maybe maybe, you know, I don't know,
but I that is that is one team that I'm like, m,
you don't want to see that team?

Speaker 3 (44:59):
What is a team you don't want Duke to see?
Or maybe Florida to not worry.

Speaker 4 (45:03):
About Duke of Florida. They're going to handle their business.

Speaker 5 (45:05):
But I'm gonna tell I'm gonna tell you one team,
a wildcard team, and I don't think they're a wild
card so to speak, but I would say that's Alabama.

Speaker 3 (45:16):
Alabama because they can just they just score.

Speaker 5 (45:19):
They just lost, but they lost Grant Nelson during that game.
If Grant Nelson's able to come back before the tournament starts,
they just can score so many points and so a
lot of teams just can't keep up with that pace
and what they can do.

Speaker 4 (45:31):
Now.

Speaker 5 (45:32):
Defensively, they leave a lot to be desired, but on
any given day, they could beat anybody in the country
because they can score more points than you. So that's
they're scary. They're scary to me.

Speaker 2 (45:43):
That's kind of like right in the NBA too, Like you,
if you have a high scoring offense, you kind of
let the defense.

Speaker 3 (45:51):
Just kind of go through the motion time sometimes. And
it's true. If you're playing against a team who's shooting
the lights out, there's not much you can do.

Speaker 2 (45:58):
And if they're shooting the lights up, that is something
that's hard to break. Like maybe a halftime can cause
the rhythm to stop. Yeah, but if they're in a rhythm,
it doesn't matter.

Speaker 3 (46:06):
You're right, that's hard to be.

Speaker 5 (46:08):
How many teams in college basketball do you know can
score ninety points every game? It's very few and far between.

Speaker 3 (46:13):
So yeah, and what if they score they were under ninety,
but not much.

Speaker 4 (46:18):
And they still had eighties.

Speaker 3 (46:20):
That's what I say.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
Not without yes, exactly, like even without their their one
of their ress players. Yeah, like they still almost scored ninety,
So they are You're right, they are a high offensive
team that you probably.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
Do not want to see.

Speaker 2 (46:32):
The SEC Final just got going between Tennessee and Florida.

Speaker 3 (46:36):
You're obviously taking Florida on this one, right.

Speaker 4 (46:38):
Yes, but Tennessee can beat them.

Speaker 3 (46:39):
Tennessee can beat them. I think they split the regular
season games. I think the home team won.

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Whoever, the home team won the games, I believe between
them two in the regular season.

Speaker 3 (46:48):
So we will see.

Speaker 2 (46:49):
But let's let's move into the NBA here, Carrie, which
we're both big fans of.

Speaker 3 (46:54):
I we're not going to talk about the maps. I
don't man the.

Speaker 5 (46:57):
Map carry you just say, we're not going to talk
about feel so bad they may have to forfeit games.

Speaker 4 (47:03):
You saw that.

Speaker 3 (47:04):
I did see that because they don't have players. Every
player they have either their.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
Knocking heads together, getting knocked out, breaking their hand.

Speaker 3 (47:13):
I think Exam right just broke his hand.

Speaker 2 (47:16):
It is I I don't know if I've ever seen
a team have such bad luck in such a short
amount of time, because I know Clippers have a curse
and I.

Speaker 3 (47:26):
But it's been years. The bad luck is just over
the years right now.

Speaker 2 (47:30):
The MAVs bad luck is like just all pushed together
and you're just like, golly Willakers.

Speaker 5 (47:37):
It's like it's a launchable. Anything you want in there,
it's in there. It's apples, it's crackers, it's cheese, it's salami, ham,
it's all.

Speaker 3 (47:45):
It's it is awful, neatly, but you know, it's at
least you could just.

Speaker 2 (47:51):
Move on from watching the MAVs the rest of the
season and move on to other teams.

Speaker 3 (47:55):
Right, Why don't I believe in the Cavaliers? Tell me
why I don't believe in Cavaliers.

Speaker 4 (48:02):
I don't know why you don't believe.

Speaker 3 (48:03):
I watched them and they look really good. But I'm
just like, I don't.

Speaker 2 (48:09):
Know if you can beat the Celtics in a seven
game series.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
They may not, you know.

Speaker 5 (48:15):
But other than that, though, you don't do you do
you think they're on a collision course those two or
do you think anybody else can kind of bump out
the Cavaliers or the Celtics on that way to the
Eastern Conference Finals.

Speaker 3 (48:25):
I don't think the Knicks are as good as those two.

Speaker 2 (48:31):
I think the Knicks are good and it's but I
don't see them knocking.

Speaker 4 (48:34):
Out what about Milwaukee?

Speaker 2 (48:35):
Milwaukee the only reason and that's actually the team I
I would put them to maybe knock out the cancer
of the Celtics, but it has to do based a
little bit on experience, Like I'm giving them that edge
because they've been there, they've done it right. I also
think with Damian Lillard they do add a different layer.

Speaker 3 (48:52):
Dame time is a real thing. It's a real thing,
and so I.

Speaker 2 (48:56):
Could see the Bucks doing it, and that might be
the only team that I truly see that can knock
out the Calves or the Celtics in the playoffs in
a seven game series, because that's the whole thing.

Speaker 3 (49:07):
It's not one game.

Speaker 4 (49:08):
Yes, you know, usually wins, the best.

Speaker 3 (49:11):
Game team usually wins in the NBA.

Speaker 4 (49:13):
But tell me, though, why not the Calves? Why don't
you believe in them?

Speaker 2 (49:17):
It's almost it's almost like they're missing the X factor.
Like I can't even put my finger on it, but
there's an X factor about it, whether it's tempo, moment,
like I feel like they're almost an old school team.

Speaker 3 (49:33):
They're not, Okay, see they're not.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
They're not the Celtics in the way that they take
seventy five threes at all. It's almost like I watched
them and they almost look like an old school basketball
team in a.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
Great way, you know.

Speaker 2 (49:45):
And so I don't know if like I'm bored because
they look a little bit like old school and I
Donovan Mitchell is great. You love them them, Donovan Mitchell.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
Is great, And every time I see them, like, you
guys look so good. What have they won? Fifteen in
a row?

Speaker 2 (50:02):
Sixteen in a row, Like it's something crazy, But yet
I'm like, I don't. I don't know if you really
can knock off the Celtics. And then whenever I watch
the Celtics, we're just talking about high offense. If they
are scoring, you cannot stop them. If they're and here's
the thing, it's not one of them making threes, it's
all of them making all. Oh oh, Jason Tatum can't

(50:23):
make the three, don't worry. Derek White is about to
hit the next.

Speaker 3 (50:25):
Five, Like, don't you worry? Al Horford has he not
hit one? Dorry he's about to hit one.

Speaker 2 (50:32):
It's I feel like that's when I watched the Celtics
and I did not think the Celtics were gonna win
last year. Again, I also feel like they their X
factor is their threes, Like that is their X factor
and if they're shooting the lights out, I don't know
how you stop them. But I didn't think they could
win last year. Now it's like I don't see if
anyone can knock them off the East.

Speaker 5 (50:52):
Yeah, no, I mean Boston is the best team. It's
partly when you watch them, I think they're.

Speaker 4 (50:56):
A little bored.

Speaker 3 (51:00):
Yes, certain games, Yes, it.

Speaker 4 (51:03):
Feels that way.

Speaker 5 (51:03):
Where Cleveland came into this year with a new head coach,
reinvigorated energy, absolutely because there were rumblings about, you know,
bigger staff and Donovan Mitchell and those guys not having
a real solid face and so you know, he leaves
and he's doing great things in Detroit.

Speaker 3 (51:19):
Yeah, well get to them.

Speaker 5 (51:20):
But you bring in new energy, a new coach and
Kenny Atkinson who does a really great job of actually
empowering Allen Moby and letting those guys go out and
be stars and not putting as much on Donovan Mitchell's
plate throughout the regular season. So I think this team
will be fresh going into the playoffs and I really
do believe they have the chance to come out the East.
But I do think Boston's the better team. Boston hopefully

(51:45):
comes in and really wants to repeat, and I think
that will be the energy that we would love to
see in the Easternuffics finals.

Speaker 2 (51:50):
And I think they I like how you said bored
because it's not that they're not playing and winning, but
there is something about their attitude with certain teams that
they're just kind of like, yeah, like, if we win
this one, great, If we lose it, we're not even
sort of worried about it because.

Speaker 5 (52:04):
There's an energy where you have to just you go
about doing the things that you do and you build
good habits of bad habits, right, yes, but you continue
to build. Like if you lose and you're doing the
things that coach told you do that game, you're fine
with them because you're working on something down the line.
And I think that's what happens with them a lot
because they've already won and they know what they need
to do to succeed in the playoffs.

Speaker 3 (52:26):
They do know what they need to do.

Speaker 2 (52:28):
Now.

Speaker 3 (52:28):
The Pistons are that story this year. They are that story.
Kay Cunningham, is it's really good?

Speaker 2 (52:34):
That guy is so and fun to watch, you know,
Like we talk about the face of the NBA, why
can it be Jason Tatum.

Speaker 3 (52:41):
I'm sorry he doesn't have the X factor. Like I
can't tell you why.

Speaker 2 (52:44):
There's something there is something he doesn't have, and I'm.

Speaker 5 (52:48):
Why I hate this conversation with but it's no, I
hear you, true, I know, no, I get it.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
I want to know why you said.

Speaker 2 (52:55):
There's there's a thing, there's a stardom to it, and
he is a star's.

Speaker 4 (53:01):
A star, good looking guy.

Speaker 5 (53:03):
Cham.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
I don't know, Carrie, I don't make the rules. Life
is not fair. I don't know. But he does not
have that X factor to be the face of the NBA.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
Not many people do, to be honest with you, and
I don't know why, but it should be him, but
it hasn't been. And I wish I had a better answer,
but I don't. I just know life's not fair. Kid Cunningham,
I feel like has that X factor. But he plays
in Detroit.

Speaker 4 (53:27):
He played with the Pistons.

Speaker 3 (53:28):
He plays with the Pistons, and so he can't.

Speaker 4 (53:31):
I mean, his coach just said they're not getting any calls.

Speaker 2 (53:33):
So they're not literally getting no calls, even though he
every time puts on a show, every single time.

Speaker 3 (53:39):
But he plays in Detroit.

Speaker 2 (53:41):
And now I do wonder like if you put him
somewhere else, would he be this guy, because that could
also change. Sometimes you are the guy in the moment
right then and there, and then you get moved or something,
and it's like, oh, no, things have changed.

Speaker 3 (53:52):
So I don't know, but the Pistons are that team
you probably don't want to see. Yeah, no in the playoffs.

Speaker 4 (53:59):
I agree. Pro it's a good call. Yeah, it's a
good call.

Speaker 5 (54:02):
They play hard, hard, they're physical, they're long, on on
on on the defensive side of the ball, and they
have a star player in k Cunningham, and he is
a star player. He's a star and I you know,
you talk about would he be the same if he
was on another team?

Speaker 3 (54:18):
Yes, you think so? Yeah, yeah, yeah, And I don't
want him to leave, you know what I mean, Like
it's like you want you want Yes, I want.

Speaker 2 (54:25):
You to stay there and continue to do this in
Detroit because Detroit, I mean, at one point.

Speaker 3 (54:29):
Weren't that the bad boys? Yes, bad boys. Bring the
bad boys back?

Speaker 5 (54:33):
They are they are they are. You got Isaiah Stewarts Denis.

Speaker 2 (54:38):
Yeah, yeah, we bring bring that back because we don't
have that and we need a little.

Speaker 3 (54:43):
Bit more of that back In the NBA. They're testing,
they are tested. I mean bigger staff.

Speaker 2 (54:48):
Yes, literally, it's like the perfect coach. You guys have
that persona and I'm all for it. I would not
want to face them. I think they have nothing to lose,
which is the worst type of team you can They
have nothing to lose and at the same time, nothing
to prove.

Speaker 3 (55:03):
Nobody's expecting you to win.

Speaker 4 (55:05):
You know what, they believe.

Speaker 5 (55:06):
You know what they remind me of right now in
this moment, that Golden State.

Speaker 4 (55:10):
We believe team Yeah. And you know why.

Speaker 5 (55:13):
I know that because they went as the eighth seed
and beat and beat my Dallas maver because that's the
number one seed, and so I know Detroit's higher than that.
But they give me that energy vibe. They're very, very cop,
they're very believing in themselves, and they have a star player,
and they have.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
A star player and also good role players around him. Yes,
like he can't do it alone, obviously, And that's the
whole thing where.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
We talked about.

Speaker 2 (55:34):
I liked how you said about the Cavs where it's
like they kind of were like, hey, Donovan Mitchel, you're
our star, but let's do more for you and help
you not be And so right now, I feel like
Kate Cunningham doesn't feel that.

Speaker 3 (55:47):
He's like, give me the ball, give me the ball.

Speaker 2 (55:48):
He wants it, he wants it and so and again,
this is a type of team you don't want to
see as a team who has nothing to lose and
no one has expectations that they're gonna make it to
the finals. That's what I'm talking about. You're gonna play
well in the playoffs, we know that. But I would
not want to see the Pistons now on the Western Conference.

Speaker 4 (56:04):
Yep.

Speaker 2 (56:06):
Okay See is obviously the best team, there's no question
about that. And they play annoying basketball, not because of
the flopping, but they play every second of defense.

Speaker 3 (56:21):
That they can.

Speaker 2 (56:22):
If I'm inbounding you the ball at the start of
the first quarter, we're both being defended.

Speaker 3 (56:27):
Yes, if you guys, we just started. Can I just
inbound the ball. I just it's ten minutes into the
first quarter. I just want to inbound the ball. Nope.

Speaker 4 (56:35):
They make it hard.

Speaker 3 (56:36):
They make it the entire game. Whatever.

Speaker 2 (56:40):
Whatever Dagnall is, yes, right, whatever Mark Dagnall, whatever he
is selling, every single one of them is buying. And
that's a team you also. I hate playing them when
the Clippers play.

Speaker 3 (56:51):
Them, I hate it.

Speaker 2 (56:52):
They are so annoying. But that's a really good thing.
I don't see like I do think. Okay see comes
out of the West. But teams that I think could,
I mean, I don't. Am I crazy to think the
Nuggets like the Rockets. Here's my problem with the Rockets.
No they.

Speaker 4 (57:11):
I didn't even let you finish that one.

Speaker 3 (57:12):
No, what the what's your problem with the Rockets. There's
no offense. There's no consistent offense. I mean they're heavy
on defense.

Speaker 5 (57:19):
They got shin Gon they got I think they got
to get help, but he's up and down.

Speaker 4 (57:23):
They got to they have to get healthy Fred.

Speaker 5 (57:25):
When Fred van Fleet is there, Yes, it's they can.
They can actually win a series and play really well
because he orchestrates all of that. Yeah, but if they don't,
they got a lot of rogue components. Yeah that can
be wild cards and make some plays, but it's very.

Speaker 2 (57:39):
Iffy, and they obviously concentrate on defense, which does win games.

Speaker 3 (57:44):
So it's like they can win a game. They can
win a couple of games.

Speaker 2 (57:47):
But yeah, as they get deep into the playoffs in
a seven game series, I don't see the Rockets out
scoring a lot of teams.

Speaker 3 (57:54):
Right the Nuggets. I like the Nuggets.

Speaker 2 (57:57):
I feel like they get bored if I feel in
the oh yogic looks annoy as half the time. As
he's running across the court ready to get his next
triple double, he looks He's like, oh, give me.

Speaker 3 (58:08):
The ball as we'll shoot out, I'll do it. Do
you want to you want let me throw you the ball?
You get hit that three, I'll just get the rebound.
It's no, he looks bored at times, and I love it.
Cracks me up. Cracks me up. Also, I know, why
is he the one that has the most scratches all
over his arms? Have you seen his arms?

Speaker 4 (58:24):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (58:24):
I unless it's not happening in the games and it's
happening in his personal life.

Speaker 3 (58:28):
Oh and we just don't know, but I.

Speaker 4 (58:30):
Feel like he's it look fresh like it happened during
that Just like.

Speaker 3 (58:34):
Why do you you're the only one who has arms
like that?

Speaker 2 (58:36):
Anyway, I think the Nuggets and I don't know if
it's history, but obviously Nicola Jokic.

Speaker 3 (58:41):
Is the best basketball player. He is the best. He is,
As I said, he's the greatest basketball player. He's not
the go Yeah, he's the greatest basketball player. He's on
the goat. He's just the greatest basketball player.

Speaker 5 (58:50):
No, you know what I'm looking at this right now.
I don't believe in any of these teams in the West.
You don't believe in outside of Okce Like it's almost
I mean, okay, see can lose and I think Golden
State could actually one could actually come out of the
West now, which is crazy to think about. They just
have the championship pedigree and what we just said about

(59:12):
the best the best of seven, you gotta win four times, yeah,
and to beat Steph Curry four times and Draymond Green
four times in the series is going to be tough
for any of these teams.

Speaker 2 (59:22):
I want to dive a little bit more into the Warrior. Yes,
but let's take a break and then we'll get back
into it.

Speaker 3 (59:28):
So don't go anywhere. You're listening to Fox Sports Sunday.

Speaker 4 (59:31):
Here it is.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
What's up everybody, It's Fox Football. No Fox Sports Sunday,
you guys, it's always football.

Speaker 3 (59:36):
Actually it's always football season. It's always football season.

Speaker 2 (59:39):
But it's Fox Sports Sunday and Monte Bolanos alongside former
All Pro safety Carry Roads hanging out with you on
this Sunday. Carry is very excited selection Sunday. He's gonna
make a day of it. I will be here updating
throughout the day so you can always hang out. We
are broadcasting live from the tireg dot com studios, and
we left off talking of the NBA and specifically the

(01:00:02):
Golden State Warriors. Speaking of teams you don't want to face,
we said that on the East Side, you probably don't
want to see the Detroit Pistons. You just don't want
to see a team that has nothing to lose and
nothing to really prove. They're just out there hooping, and
they're hooping real well with Kim Cunningham.

Speaker 3 (01:00:19):
Yes, then you go to the Western Conference.

Speaker 2 (01:00:21):
Okay, see, definitely the best team. Shay gilges Alexander is
going to drop probably forty points every single time he
steps on the court. He may shoot twenty one free throws.
But hey, don't hate the player, hate the game.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
He's just doing what he can within the system. The
Golden State Warriors have lost one game since acquiring Jimmy Butler.
You know, I love Jimmy Butler. I love him so much.

Speaker 2 (01:00:46):
I have to get a new shirt because I have
a Jimmy Butler Miami heat shirt.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
I got upgrade, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Yeah, and I will, don't you guys worry about that.
It'll be happening sooner rather than later. The I thought
from the beginning that that was a perfect fit for
Jimmy Butler because they don't need you to shoot threes.

Speaker 3 (01:01:04):
He doesn't shoot threes. No, he may shoot one, and
if he does and he makes it, maybe he'll shoot
a second.

Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
If he shoots that first one and misses it, he's
shooting no more threes.

Speaker 3 (01:01:14):
He's done. He is a mid range shooter. He likes
to drive in. He likes to get a fouler too.

Speaker 2 (01:01:20):
He's not gonna shoot twenty one free throws like she
Gildas Alexander. But he's exactly what the Warriors needed to add,
you know, talking about making it for the calves that
they're trying to help us, not Darius Garland. Thank you
so much helping him so he doesn't feel like everything
is his responsibility.

Speaker 3 (01:01:40):
All of a sudden steph Curry can breathe, Yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:01:43):
All of us, and he's breathing.

Speaker 5 (01:01:45):
And the thing about Jimmy Butler, he's again he made
his mark in this league planned defense and being the
guy that does all the other things right. That's that's
his foundation. It extended once he you know, is later
on in the Chicago years. Obviously, Minnesota was the years
he finally broke out and was a number one scorer

(01:02:06):
type of guy, right and then in Miami, obviously in
those playoffs it was Jimmy time.

Speaker 4 (01:02:11):
What was it?

Speaker 2 (01:02:11):
What was it called, yeah, mister whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:02:16):
In the playoffs he became Jimmy Butler.

Speaker 3 (01:02:19):
And this he's crazy Miami.

Speaker 4 (01:02:20):
He going to the finals and did some crazy things.

Speaker 5 (01:02:22):
But I think what this has allowed him to do
is go back to that role. He does not have
to shoulder the score and so he's out there doing
all the things that helps a team win. And it
fits with Curry like a glove. Like a glove, if
they need to, they can go to him in the
post and go to the mid range. He can do
certain things there. But it just gives them a guy

(01:02:42):
that it's just their game isn't solely based off three
pointers anymore.

Speaker 2 (01:02:46):
And I always mentioned that, like it helps Curry a
lot because he alleviates some of the pressure offensively, but
I also feel like it alleviates a.

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Little bit for Draymond Green.

Speaker 2 (01:02:57):
You know, the Lakers now play better defense without Anthony Davis,
And it was like were you just were you thinking, Ah,
the guy blows by me. We got a d back there,
which is a bad mentality to have. And like you
just said, Jimmy Butler is a defensive first type of
player that has developed offensively over the years, and so

(01:03:17):
you know he's gonna play defense. So I feel like
he's not only helping stuff, he's helping Draymond, both of
them on both sides of the floor. And I'm like,
Draymond looks happy. Have you seen Draymond lately?

Speaker 5 (01:03:29):
That dude, ha, Well, you saw that after right at
the All Star break, he literally said they were going.

Speaker 3 (01:03:36):
To win the check and win the championship.

Speaker 5 (01:03:38):
Like that's how confident he was in that acquisition. And
obviously right now it looks looks pretty darn good there.

Speaker 3 (01:03:44):
They won seven in a row.

Speaker 2 (01:03:45):
They won seven in a row, and they're nine and
one since since yeah, or since Jimmy that one loss
with Jimmy and that's it, and it's like they're that's
a team you don't want to you don't want to face, and.

Speaker 5 (01:03:57):
It's yeah, I mean and have it and just got back.
So he's another X factor for them as far as
just an explosive guy. Guy that can go out and
get you twenty on any given night and also just
beat you with this athleticism right right.

Speaker 2 (01:04:11):
Steph Curry four thousand threes made how many four thousand?

Speaker 8 (01:04:16):
Man more than all of us, and I think twelve
hundred more than the next person, which I think it's
I think it's James Harden that ads right after his,
but it's like twelve hundred less.

Speaker 2 (01:04:29):
Like at the start of the season, the Warriors had
like a nice little run, do you remember, and it
was Curry.

Speaker 3 (01:04:35):
Was shooting the lights out early on.

Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
Yeah, and then it dipped real bad, real bad, and
now he's back to shooting the lights out.

Speaker 4 (01:04:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:04:45):
That game that he hit the four thousand, I think
he only ended with eleven points.

Speaker 3 (01:04:49):
He didn't have that great a game.

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
They won, it didn't matter, but he wasn't shooting that great.
He also didn't take that many shots. I felt like
he wasn't feeling well. But Curry is that player that
can take over at any given moment. And in the
seven game series like the Thunder, Yeah, you are high
a high scoring team, but so is this guy by himself.

Speaker 5 (01:05:08):
Yeah, And it's not just the score, and it's the
gravity that he has right right coming off screens. If
you don't communicate, you're giving up easy layups, you're being confused,
and you're getting you're getting stretched to the point because
he can shoot it from so far that your defense
doesn't have a sound foundation. So that's the part that
that's very tricky, because even if he's not hitting, he's

(01:05:30):
still a factor.

Speaker 3 (01:05:31):
The way he moves. I feel like we don't give
him enough credit that he's If.

Speaker 2 (01:05:36):
You are guarding stuff, Curry, you are exhausted, Yes, you're exhausted,
because that dude doesn't stop moving, right.

Speaker 3 (01:05:41):
He doesn't need the ball in his hands. He keeps moving.
And then you have Draymon who also is a great passer.

Speaker 2 (01:05:48):
So it's like, like you just said, he may not
get the ball, but it causes chaos, causes and then
might cause an easy layup or a mid range jumper
for gimme my boy.

Speaker 3 (01:05:58):
You know what I'm saying. You know what I'm saying.
Like it's the Warriors, I I don't think they're gonna win.
That's not what I'm saying. I don't think they're gonna
they're gonna win.

Speaker 2 (01:06:07):
But if it's the Western Conference Finals and it's OKAYC
against the Warriors.

Speaker 3 (01:06:13):
You right now, I'm taking Jimmy. I'm just kidding. I no, No,
I think the Warriors come out of the West. I
mean sorry, I O. Man wants what it wants, guys,
it wants what it wants.

Speaker 2 (01:06:22):
No, I think I think OKAYC comes out of the West,
and they should and they should come out of the West.

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
But if it's like Warriors are there in the Western
Conference Finals, I might take the Warriors.

Speaker 5 (01:06:36):
That's the thing. I just don't know if they will
beat them best out of seven. Now I don't I
don't know if Golden State is even going to make
the Western Conference Finals. I really do believe okay see
is obviously yes, like that's this is a wow call. Absolutely,
But if they do get there, it will be interesting.

Speaker 3 (01:06:56):
It will be so interesting.

Speaker 2 (01:06:59):
And I feel like, listen, Shae, you you think you're
gonna drive in there and floppity flop flop.

Speaker 3 (01:07:06):
Draymond Green is gonna shove you real real quick.

Speaker 2 (01:07:10):
It's gonna yes, like he's gonna foul out and he's
gonna be happy about it.

Speaker 3 (01:07:14):
So it's good because they're they're.

Speaker 2 (01:07:17):
Annoying and they're in your pocket and they're everywhere, But like,
has anyone really put Shae in his place this season?

Speaker 4 (01:07:25):
Nobody's like really fouled.

Speaker 3 (01:07:27):
Nobody's really shake him up.

Speaker 2 (01:07:30):
I'm not I like Shay. I love sha I wish
he was still a clippery y'all. Like, I love Shay,
But has anyone really you know.

Speaker 3 (01:07:37):
Put him in his spot?

Speaker 4 (01:07:39):
They need and they need to.

Speaker 3 (01:07:40):
Somebody needs to get for real.

Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
He needs to get foul for real and also to
help him, like, because that's what's gonna happen in the playoffs.
All the teams are gonna get tougher, every single one
of them, Nuggets are gonna get I mean, Nicola Yoga
is gonna put him on.

Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
His house.

Speaker 2 (01:07:56):
During the during the playoffs. Nicola yogas, she will put
him on his house. There's no quest Aaron Gordon will
put not scared of anybody. It's it's like, I almost
feel like it's not benefiting him that he's not getting
hit like that, because it's gonna come playoffs and you're
gonna be like, oh that hurt.

Speaker 5 (01:08:12):
Make your Western Conference prediction? Who do you think is
going to play okay? Seeing in the Western Conference finals?
What do you think? Who do you I think it
seems like you're laying in towards Denver. But I know
I don't want to put words in your mouth, but I.

Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
Am leaning towards Denver. And I also don't want to
admit that the Lakers are good. Part of it, I
think the Lakers are good.

Speaker 4 (01:08:29):
You think the Lakers are good.

Speaker 3 (01:08:31):
I think the Lakers are good. I mean, Luca, magic Man.

Speaker 4 (01:08:37):
What are you doing something else? What do you got
leave Luke out of?

Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
Okay, So without Luca, the Lakers are good. But now
I do I do think the Nuggets. I do think
the Nuggets get to the finals.

Speaker 4 (01:08:52):
Oh you think they make it to the five?

Speaker 2 (01:08:55):
That's what you're asking the Western Conference. I do think
the Nuggets get to the Western Conference finals. The Warriors
would be the next team I pick. If I'm being honest,
I would pick them over the Rockets, over the Grizzlies.
I don't know what Ja Moran's gonna do.

Speaker 4 (01:09:08):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (01:09:08):
I don't know what's gonna do Timberwolves. I don't know
what Anthony.

Speaker 3 (01:09:11):
Edwards is gonna do.

Speaker 4 (01:09:11):
I don't trust that team.

Speaker 3 (01:09:12):
I don't trust that team at all. They're super fun.

Speaker 4 (01:09:14):
You know who they're missing who Anthony.

Speaker 2 (01:09:18):
But Carl Anthony Towns that we are seeing at the
garden or with the licks is not the same.

Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
That's not the guy we were seeing in Minnesota.

Speaker 4 (01:09:26):
He isn't. But that's the way they wanted him to play.

Speaker 2 (01:09:29):
Sure, I don't know what he looks happier. He looks like,
you know, like he's enjoyed himself.

Speaker 3 (01:09:34):
And I didn't get that vibe in Minnesota. I agree
with your Yeah, So I don't know if like there
was just like personalities weren't working out or whatnot. But
that's not who we were seeing.

Speaker 2 (01:09:41):
And I agree if he was that guy, all Timberwolves
would be.

Speaker 4 (01:09:45):
Well, you know why it wasn't the same.

Speaker 5 (01:09:47):
It's because he had Rudy Gobert in the middle, of course,
and he couldn't navigate the same way.

Speaker 6 (01:09:51):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
Yeah, you have another taller dude than you right next
to you, who also, you know, gets in your way,
gets in your Wait, let's not get in the way
of Isaac Lowen Crow.

Speaker 3 (01:10:02):
Oh, we won't here to tell us what's going on,
all right.

Speaker 6 (01:10:06):
We actually have some fresh NFL news on this Sunday.

TPC Sawgrass, Roy McElroy has the lead of twelve under
par overall, one shot ahead of JJ Spawn today. McElroy
four under through eleven holes. Monceig and carry back to you.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Wait, Isaac, how is Sepstraca doing? Sepstraca? I'm sorry, how
is he doing in the Players Championship? Say that again,
Sep Struca? How is he doing?

Speaker 6 (01:11:40):
Uh? Well, I can look that up for you.

Speaker 3 (01:11:44):
All right, you're updating me.

Speaker 6 (01:11:46):
Okay, I'm here here he is, okay, Uh, Sepstraca four
under par overall, so that's eight shots off the lead.
Today he's three over par through twelve holes. But you know,
I mean he still still has time left. I mean,
when you get to this seventeenth hole at TPC Sawgress,
anything can happen.

Speaker 3 (01:12:02):
Anything can happen.

Speaker 4 (01:12:03):
Wait a minute, you said anything can happen? Yeah, what
about Davis Riley?

Speaker 5 (01:12:07):
Is he is he doing anything? It's a guy named
Davis Riley that's in that tournament as well. Do you
know Da Babs.

Speaker 3 (01:12:14):
School with him or something.

Speaker 6 (01:12:16):
All right, I'll look here, yeah, all right, Davis Riley
please do okay, Davis Riley already done for the day.
One under par overall today. Unfortunately it looks like he
shot at two over seventy four, including a double bogie
that's in that seventeenth hole. That must not have felt good,
Carrecter Davis.

Speaker 4 (01:12:36):
Oh my god, I was.

Speaker 2 (01:12:38):
I was rooting for Davis, me too, that was root
for sap double bogie.

Speaker 3 (01:12:41):
That's no bueno. That's that's what possible. Thank you, Isaac
Low and cron I appreciate you have.

Speaker 2 (01:12:52):

Speaker 3 (01:14:20):
Florida is up thirty two twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:14:22):
Two late in the first half that tam I said,
you said, it's almost like you know what you're doing
here a little bit and that's crazy, little.

Speaker 4 (01:14:30):
Bit, you know, it's crazy about that.

Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
That's easy. It's like you guys are trying to make
your lives easier.

Speaker 3 (01:15:05):
Well you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (01:15:06):
I mean, more of us, more more of us, make
it easy for you to get to us.

Speaker 3 (01:15:10):
Yes, uh, it's not easy to get to the first
Dodgers game this year unless you want to go to Tokyo.
Oh yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:15:16):
So Dodgers and the Cubs are going to kick off
the season Tuesday at three thirty am here in La
for US, so six thirty am Eastern, and I know
you you're already not looking forward to baseball season because
of you're a Yankees fan and also a Garrett Cole

(01:15:37):
immediately losing him.

Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
That's uh, that's rough. That's rough.

Speaker 2 (01:15:40):
And then obviously Dan, it's still Deally. Does he have
any elbows?

Speaker 5 (01:15:45):
I'm confused he's got no it is it is bicep
Oh that guy.

Speaker 3 (01:15:52):
I yeah, so, I hear you. I hear you.

Speaker 2 (01:15:55):
But any interest in getting up at three thirty in
the morning to do what watching the dots?

Speaker 4 (01:16:00):
No, it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (01:16:01):
I actually get up pretty much every morning around like
four thirty five catch so I can catch the end?

Speaker 4 (01:16:07):
Maybe, Yeah, what time? What time will it end?

Speaker 2 (01:16:09):
You think, Well, I don't know if they're gonna yeah, no,
this is gonna count.

Speaker 3 (01:16:12):
Oh carry county. This is what's super annoying. No, it's
gonna count.

Speaker 2 (01:16:17):
And then they're both gonna come back and go back
to spring training games that are not gonna count. So
the Dodgers are gonna come back, and typically they're gonna
play the Angels. Is usually like the the Freeway Series
happens right before ye but it doesn't count.

Speaker 3 (01:16:30):
But this was count I know it's very stupid. Oh
that's disgusting, ridiculous, ridiculous.

Speaker 2 (01:16:38):
Yeah, I don't know if they're going I feel like
since the game is in Tokyo, that it might last
a little longer than the games have been lasting, you know,
with the pitch clock, how they've.

Speaker 3 (01:16:47):
All been about two hours and fifteen thirteen minutes.

Speaker 2 (01:16:50):
It wouldn't surprise me if this one goes a little
longer because it's in Tokyo, and maybe they have like
special advertisements and commercials and things that they want to do,
and so it might be a little bit longer.

Speaker 3 (01:16:58):
So you should be able to to catch it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:00):
I am probably gonna have to catch the rerun at
that point.

Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
You won't watch it live. I'll watch it, but I
can watch it that you know they're.

Speaker 4 (01:17:09):
Gonna rerun Dodgers affiliations.

Speaker 3 (01:17:11):
I didn't want it.

Speaker 4 (01:17:12):
How a how are you not going to be able
to watch.

Speaker 2 (01:17:14):
At three thirty? That means I am staying up. That
means you know how you go to bed early, Like
you go to bed early and you're gonna get up.
That means I'm just staying up, just gonna stay up,
and you know, maybe I will maybe that's my challenge.

Speaker 3 (01:17:26):
Maybe I'll just stay up and then watch a little
bit of it.

Speaker 2 (01:17:28):
Both the Cubs and the Dodgers have played the team
in Tokyo like one of their professional teams, and they
both lost.

Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
So there is that going for them. Like Snell gave
up a three run homer for the.

Speaker 5 (01:17:40):
Dow Years, I hope he gives a whole lots more
hope because he didn't come to.

Speaker 4 (01:17:44):
Yank Say if he would have signed with the Yankees.

Speaker 2 (01:17:47):
Okay, but you know, people want to win, and they
want to win easily.

Speaker 3 (01:17:52):
What that's why they went to the They went to
the Dodgers to try and win easily. Sure, you know
what I'm saying. Some people don't don't want to try anymore.

Speaker 4 (01:18:00):
I don't want to challenge.

Speaker 3 (01:18:00):
I don't want to challenge. I'm being good. That's I'm
a Dodgers fan. I get it.

Speaker 2 (01:18:04):
Like I would be frustrated if I was not a
Dodgers fan, because they're literally signing everyone and their mom.

Speaker 3 (01:18:10):
Everyone and their mom, everybody, everybody. But so you're not
gonna get up. I will probably get up. I am
looking forward to baseball season.

Speaker 2 (01:18:19):
I just I feel like their baseball season is so
like relaxed in comparison to other sports.

Speaker 4 (01:18:25):
Yea a little bit.

Speaker 3 (01:18:27):
You can ease into it and like it's like, oh,
you missed a game.

Speaker 2 (01:18:30):
Who gears they're playing one hundred more, a thousands on
thousand more in the next three days.

Speaker 3 (01:18:34):
Do not worry, and so you ease into it. You
have it on.

Speaker 2 (01:18:38):
I also really like that there's games during the day.
There's no other sport that's really like that. So you
can get up at like eleven am and there's a
game and.

Speaker 3 (01:18:45):
You're like, oh, I already just put it on the background.

Speaker 4 (01:18:47):
Except March Madness those day games.

Speaker 2 (01:18:50):
That is right selection Sunday, Carrie, It's gonna be fun.

Speaker 3 (01:18:54):
I'm sure you're excited as many people are.
