Speaker 1 (00:00):
It's KFI AM six and you're listening to the Conway
Show on demand on the iHeartRadio app. We've got another
airplane incident happening, this time in Denver, and I'm looking
for the story on local Denver news. It's so new
that they don't even have it yet. But American Airline plane,
(00:22):
American Airlines plane catches on fire at Denver Airport.
Speaker 2 (00:28):
No good man. People are afraid to fly.
Speaker 1 (00:31):
And you'll you'll notice, if you know, if you're if
you're in the airline industry, a lot of people are
passing on flying right now because of this kind of crap.
American Airlines plane caught fire while at a gate at
Denver International Airport this evening, about a half hour ago. Literally,
(00:54):
I mean this happened moments ago. A spokesperson for the airport.
We see if we have them on tape here, all right,
this is the audio.
Speaker 2 (01:03):
Oh wow.
Speaker 1 (01:04):
The people had to get out of the plane and
climb on the wing while this plane was on fire.
All the passengers were on the port side and starboard
side wings. Oh my god, what a disaster.
Speaker 2 (01:20):
Oh what happened. It's on fire.
Speaker 1 (01:26):
I don't know how the wings are holding all those
people up and now they're putting ladders up to try
to get the people down off the wings.
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Wow, man, oh man, that's not what we need right now.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
American Airlines plane reportedly caught on fire Denver International Airport.
A video from a viewer shows smoke pouring out of
the plane. It's unclear if there are any injuries. Denver
is working Denver seven. Is that the big station up there, Belluo.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
Denver seven.
Speaker 1 (01:56):
Yes, MGH is working on to obtaining information. Calls to
American Airlines DADA.
Speaker 3 (02:04):
And DA sir, Oh, sorry.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
What I SAYDA?
Speaker 4 (02:09):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
It was nothing. The airport, DIA, Denver International.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Sorry I said DA, Sorry, DIA and the Federal Aviation
Administration have all gone unanswered.
Speaker 2 (02:20):
All the calls are unanswered. Man.
Speaker 1 (02:23):
But the plane catches on fire. Its American Airline looks
like a seven thirty seven, maybe a little bigger than that.
And the people had to bail out of the plane.
And you would think, because it's at the gate, everybody
would just go back into the airport, But I guess
it happened so quickly that people jumped out of the
of the plane and they're all they're all lined up
on both wings, or at least one wing that I saw,
(02:47):
And that's a really bad look for the airline business
right now. We need two months of nothing, nothingness. But yeah,
we're not getting that. We're getting craziness. So you're going
to see it tonight on all the newscasts. It's uh,
(03:07):
it's a horrible, horrible picture because everybody else at the
airport who is flying are now super super nervous about
getting on a plane. And but it's it's a wild scene, belly,
can we put up on our social media?
Speaker 2 (03:22):
It's a okay show, okay.
Speaker 1 (03:26):
Okay, okay, all right, okay, and it but have you
seen the people on the wings?
Speaker 5 (03:31):
I haven't.
Speaker 1 (03:32):
Oh, it's horrible. It's a it's a wild story, man.
There's footage of people bailing out of the plane and
both and at least one wing filled with passengers. Again,
I don't know how that wing is holding up with
with eighty people standing on it, but I guess they yea,
they built them. They built them nice, all right, So
we're keep an eye on that story coming out of Denver, Colorado.
(03:56):
All right, there's a new fire station in Thousand Oaks.
That's a big deal for people to live out in
Thousand Oaks.
Speaker 5 (04:01):
They like that in Thousand Oaks.
Speaker 6 (04:03):
Ventura County fire Station thirty four is now in operation.
The State of Art facility is on Avenida delos Arboles
and Mountcliffe Boulevard. A grand opening ceremony for the community
is in the work.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
There you go. And what's the name of the street.
Speaker 6 (04:18):
Facility is on Avenida delos Arboles and right Avenita delos Arboles.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
That's one street name.
Speaker 6 (04:26):
Avenita delos Arbolez and Mountcliffe.
Speaker 1 (04:29):
Boulevard, Mountcliffe Boulevard. Man, I don't I think they got
to abbreviate the name of that first.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Street, Avenita delos Arboles.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
You know, you're you're calling nine one one and you're,
you know, your kids joking to death, and you're like, oh.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
I gotta get up here. Where are you? Six six
nine eighty one? All right?
Speaker 1 (04:48):
And what's the street? Hey, honey, how do you pronounce
the street again?
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Avenita?
Speaker 7 (04:53):
What what is that?
Speaker 2 (04:56):
Avenue?
Speaker 8 (04:57):
Wait?
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Hold on one, say it's what Avenita des Avenito's day boris?
Speaker 2 (05:04):
That's not it?
Speaker 1 (05:05):
I'm sorry, Avnito's day. My wife says, Avenito's dey las
boris is that it Avena delos Davin Avenito's day la
rs uh kid didn't make it?
Speaker 5 (05:20):
Yeah, Tim, Tim, Yes, it's Dean.
Speaker 2 (05:24):
Oh, Dean A.
Speaker 5 (05:24):
You're a Thousand Oaks guy that fire that fire stations
like four blocks from my house.
Speaker 1 (05:29):
That's great, that's great. I mean, to have a fire
station that close to your house is really important nowadays.
Here's the thing, though, there already is a fire station.
Speaker 5 (05:36):
They're moving.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Oh I see, okay, all right, that's.
Speaker 5 (05:39):
Moving from an old station to a much bigger one
right next to clu Cal Lutheran College University. And it's awesome.
I mean, it's a really cool fire station. And I
feel you every time. You know, I live, I live
on one of those Avenita and around here. All we
do is we just use the last name. So it's
(06:00):
on Arbalists. Oh I see, okay, it's okay, all right.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
But I imagine you know, if you got an emergency
at home, you can't go through the entire name.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
Of the strait. No, we just say it's on Arbalists.
That's you know this town. Get over here, Yeah, buzz
on out there. So it's a it's a like this
happened when I was a kid. I grew up on
Balboa and Ventura and they moved the fire station down
or across the street and built a new, beautiful one.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
That's essentially what they're doing. They're just moving one.
Speaker 5 (06:30):
Yeah, I mean, I don't know for certain, but I
think it's fire station thirty five, right, Okay, yeah, I
think it is. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So there's one
on the corner of Moor Park in Arbilis right now.
That's thirty five and it's small and uh and they're
they're getting it closer to the university and it's really gorgeous.
I mean, it's big and gorgeous. So I assume they're
(06:50):
just they've expanded and they're moving it over there. And
I don't know, I guess they're going to turn the
other fire station into a Starbucks or something.
Speaker 1 (06:57):
I don't know, you know, the it's it's really important
nowadays when with property value, if you live within a
couple of blocks of a fire station, it is a
big deal.
Speaker 5 (07:07):
It's been a big comfort for us because it's literally
I mean, I mean, you know, I mean, it's it's
like a minute away from us.
Speaker 2 (07:13):
Oh that's great, really cool. That's fantas all right.
Speaker 1 (07:16):
Dean Sharp is coming up with us we're gonna talk
We got a full segment coming up with Dean and
we're going to talk about flush and hidden kids. This weekend,
All calls on on the House Whisper, but we're gonna
talk to him about what is a barn door, what
is the you know, the profile rectangle in the ceiling,
(07:36):
the attic access, hidden things around your house. We'll talk
to him next. Dean Sharp to the House Whisper. Next
on KF.
Speaker 9 (07:45):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on DEMYA from KF.
I am sixty.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
Bello's got a quick update. Then we'll get to a Dean.
There's an update Bellio has on this plane in Denver.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Bellio, what's the late?
Speaker 3 (07:59):
Is a post on X says that American Airlines flight
four zero one two caught fire after an engine failed
and the plane was diverted to Denver. See if you
go to Tim's X page at Conway Show, you can
see the video of the passengers evacuating in the smoke.
Speaker 1 (08:18):
Oh that's the worst. But it looks like it's at
the gate. It got to the gate.
Speaker 5 (08:23):
Yeah, it's a little off of the gate.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
It's not right at the gate.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Okay, what I can see from these points of view.
Speaker 1 (08:31):
Man, you know, luckily, you know it's on fire. The
plane is on fire, and that could have happened and
everybody and if that happened up in the air, that
could have done a cartwheel and it could have been
over and man, would that have been unbelievable? One disaster
after after another. All Right, we're going to keep an
eye on that. But that's a big, big deal up
(08:52):
in Denver, Colorado. American Airline plane on fire.
Speaker 10 (08:56):
We also have an update on this. Claremont College is
situation with a potential shooter at Claremont McKenna. The police
have been basically evacuating all the buildings in the immediate area.
It's a cluster of five colleges, all connected to each other,
but Claremont McKenna seems to be the one most directly impacted.
They've been setting out notices. The dean of students there
so just sent down a notice saying public safety and police.
(09:17):
They're sweeping the buildings to make sure everything's secure. They
say it's not a panic situation at this point at all.
They're just making sure everything's clear.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Okay, We've got the college in Claremont and the plane
on fire in Denver.
Speaker 3 (09:29):
Let me give you this. This is from FAA. They
released a statement. American Airlines Flight one zero zero six
diverted to and landed safely at Denver International Airport at
five point fifteen pm local time Thursday, March thirteenth, after
the crew reported engine vibrations after landing and while taxing
to the gate, an engine caught fire and passengers were
(09:50):
evacuated the aircraft using the slides. The Boeing seven thirty
seven eight hundred departed Colorado Springs Airport and was headed
for Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and the FAA will investigate.
Speaker 1 (10:03):
Wow, all right, we'll keep an eye on both those stories. Uh, Dean, Sorry,
that's all the time we have. We'll catch you next week.
Speaker 5 (10:09):
Hey, no problem, Thanks everyone.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
A lot of breaking news going on around here. Dean Sharp,
you know at the house whisper.
Speaker 5 (10:18):
Yes, I don't mind being evacuated out onto the wing
of the plane as long as it's on the ground,
That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (10:24):
You know, I'm with you, but I can't believe that
that wing can hold you know, one hundred and ten
or a hundred. It looks like there's probably I don't know,
fifty sixty seventy.
Speaker 2 (10:32):
People on that wing.
Speaker 5 (10:34):
That is the mystery of you know, aeronautical design, because
that wing is opened you up the whole time you're
up there.
Speaker 2 (10:42):
Yeah, it's pretty strong.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
For people that get crazy with turbulence. I saw a
video they took a seven I think it was a
seven oh seven or seven thirty seven out to the
desert and they tied to they fixed somehow to really
strong white to each wing and they pulled both of
them up to see where their maximum you know, bending
(11:06):
ability is and where it would snap. Man, those wings
are almost straight up before they snapped. I mean, those
wings are really made well.
Speaker 3 (11:14):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (11:14):
And you know, every time I hear this and I
think I'm hearing it right that like air force one
can can survive like a direct nuclear hite. And I
don't even understand what that means.
Speaker 2 (11:27):
Right, But I don't either.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
I just think, all right, it's an airplane, right, I
just think that's the first thing to go. But I guess,
you know, I guess they can be pretty resilient.
Speaker 2 (11:38):
I guess they're good at what they do.
Speaker 1 (11:39):
Many you know, obviously, when when they build these airplanes,
the passenger safety is always the first, the second, the third,
and the last thing they think about.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
So that's cool and it shows, it shows.
Speaker 1 (11:50):
All right, let's get into I think I thought that
barn doors came and went, but I guess they're pretty
popular again.
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Hunh, Well you're right.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
I mean you're right in one sense, right, because barn
doors came and people are like, oh, that's cool, because
you know, sometimes you need a pocket door, like a
sliding door to close in the room, but you can't,
you know, get into the wall and actually make the
pocket in the wall.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
So the whole idea of like.
Speaker 5 (12:19):
Aha, barn door. But then you're like, well, listen, not
everybody lives in a barn. Not everybody wants to live
in a barn, right, so not everybody wants all the
pulleys and the wheels and the track and all of
that stuff. And thankfully these days, hello twenty twenty five,
we don't have to there is one of the Now
(12:40):
this is not brand new, all right. This was again
one of the stars of the International Building Show a
couple of weeks ago. But this is not brand new.
This has been around for In fact, Tina and I
ran this video I think last year and it went
kind of crazy viral for us just because people are like,
are you kidding me? But there is there are tracks
now that are hardware. To think of a barn door,
(13:02):
all right, think of a barn door door hanging on
the outside of the wall that'll slide over a door
opening and close it. And just imagine, because that's what
you're looking at, Tim this photo I send you, Just
imagine the door and take all the hardware away.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (13:16):
Gone, Okay, the hardware is there, but it's hidden behind
the door and you never see it. You don't see
it when the door is closed. You don't see it
when the door's open. Magically slides across the opening and
back again.
Speaker 2 (13:30):
And so what that.
Speaker 5 (13:31):
Does is it changes the idea of barn door. Okay,
now we're calling it and an outer wall or outside
of the wall sliding door because it doesn't have to
look like a barn. It could be super contemporary, ultra modern,
it could be glass, it could be anything you wanted
to be. And it's it is a very very sexy door.
Speaker 1 (13:51):
The one thing I have I got two problems with
the barn door. One of them it's not really private anymore.
I mean, you can literally see around did and you
know it's not secure as a regular door. And number two,
whenever the heater or air conditioning goes on, that thing
bangs on the wall for ten minutes.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
You're right now, this one, this type, you'd be relieved,
does not because it is actually secured at the top
and the bottom.
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Oh that's great.
Speaker 5 (14:20):
This one doesn't swing out at all, but the rest
of it is still true. A barn door at its
best is a visual a form of visual privacy. It's
not audible privacy because you know, sound gets right around
the crack and goes in and so yeah, I mean
it's visual privacy, but it's nothing else.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
They what do they run barn doors? Are they a
couple hundred bucks? Five hundred thousand? They're weight Well, I
mean here's the thing. It's all about the track system. Now,
this track system is a few hundred dollars or just
a track. The door is just a door. Pick a door,
whatever door you want, and then we can hang it
on this hardware. That's I would love to see how
that hardware works. And you can't see it, I will
(15:01):
I will send I will send you a secret exclusive conway.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
You can see the hardware. I was definitely one of
those saw that video last year and was like.
Speaker 7 (15:10):
Who.
Speaker 5 (15:12):
Exactly right, Croach. I mean, it was like what the heck?
And when we first walked by it last year at
the Builders Show, we were like, excuse me, what what
is that thing sliding on? And I immediately had to
go over and look behind it and like, uh.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
Will groove in the floor?
Speaker 5 (15:28):
No, no, you know what, I'll just tell I'm going
to say one word and everybody in the building industry
understands what this means. Germans, Ah, okay, perfect, they got
it worked out. They got it worked out.
Speaker 2 (15:44):
It's beautiful, excellent, all right, we got to take a break.
We'll come back with Dean Sharp.
Speaker 1 (15:47):
We're also working on two big stories here, the possible
shooter or gunman on the campus in Claremont and then
also the plane that's on fire or was on fire
at Denver International Airport. Two big stories working on. Plus
the lunar clips tonight at midnight. That's going to be
tonight at midnight, and then tomorrow we got another storm
(16:09):
coming in. So lot's going on here. Got to keep
it on KFI, keep it up on all this stuff.
Speaker 9 (16:14):
You're listening to tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 11 (16:20):
Still a little kind of crowded getting away from Santainela.
Delays really continue across mid city all the way to
San Pedro Street in downtown Los Angeles, South LA. On
the one ten northbound, that's crowding up, leaving Manchester Avenue
with the slow drive all the way to Stadium Way
southbound slowing also out of Alesion Park from the five
heading back all the way to Manchester Avenue. Now I'm
(16:42):
also taking a look at Orange County. It's starting to
really thin out. But the fifty five northbound remained slow
in Irvine leaving the four to H five, and that
looks a lot better by the time you make your
way past. Looks like dire road, no problems beyond as
you continue towards the fifty five, or make that the
five and the ninety one freeway. But along the fifteen
(17:05):
in the CA Home Path, it's just a little crowded
northbound from Cleghorn, or from Kenwood to Cleghorn with Southern
California's most accurate traffic reports, I mean, Chel Martinez.

another air incident. Plane catches on fire at Denver Lands
in Denver. People are evacuating out of the plane and
onto the wings. Clairemont, a guy with a gun running
around campuses.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Looks like that is so far nothing, Yeah, I get.
Speaker 10 (22:44):
I was talking to my wife just now because you know,
she's getting the updates there locally, and she says, I said,
it looks like it was pretty contained to Clairemont McKenna.
But she says there were reports or she had heard.
You know, that's go how that stuff goes. That anybody
that was there, any short of shooter, might have moved
to the Scripts campus, which is the all girls campus
just to the northeast west of the.
Speaker 2 (23:01):
East of that. But there's all girls schools still.
Speaker 10 (23:05):
Yes, Scripts, I'm gonna swing by there when I today
after work.
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yeah, no kidding.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Snow in the mountains, that's a big deal. A lot
of snow in the local mountains and we have a
storm coming in tomorrow. All right, Dean Sharp is whether
it's house Wisberg. Dean, I saw this today in the Palisades,
where there were two or three lots that a helicopter
was flying over, and two of these lots were completely
cleaned up. All the you know, the the chimney was gone,
(23:33):
the old chimney, the old cars, all the debris, all
the burned stuff all gone. They laid down some new
dirt and they're ready to build now, is it. I
don't understand the rush to rebuild, because after you rebuild
your home, for the next two years, you're gonna be
living in a community with all burned out homes or
construction around you for two years.
Speaker 5 (23:55):
Yeah, I don't get it. Well, some people are willing
to do that. They just want to get back in period.
For other people, though, we gotta just step back a
second and realize this is the Palisades, all right. So
let's say you and I lived in the Palisades, and
we've got the money to live in the Palisades, and
(24:16):
we just went through all of this. We've already found
another home for ourselves. We're not going back, but we
are anxious to rebuild a house there so we can
sell the thing and recoup our loss.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Oh is that right?
Speaker 5 (24:28):
You think that's going on a lot. Hunh oh, there's
a good amount of that going on. Yeah, I bet yeah.
And they're gonna get a sweet dollar for that home too.
You know, those new homes out there, new construction in
the Palisades, that's going to be top dollar. Yeah, if
you imagine, I meant putting the disaster behind you. The
fact of the matter is Pacific Palisades is still Pacific Palisades.
(24:49):
And so if you imagine Pacific Palisades as a virgin
you know, home development area, those new homes, those new
neighbor hoods, the updated infrastructure, everything new in the streets,
it's gonna be some choice real estate.
Speaker 2 (25:06):
That's why.
Speaker 5 (25:07):
I mean the day after the fires hit, people were
starting to jump on those lots saying, hey, I'll buy
that out from under you right now because it is
still going to be prime La territory.
Speaker 2 (25:18):
Yeah, absolutely right.
Speaker 1 (25:20):
Getting back to what we were talking about, and you're
gonna be talking about on your show as well, sort
of like the hidden you know, aspects of a house.
I was looking at these things. The recess recess lighting. Man,
they have no they have the old ones used to have,
you know, a can and then the light was in
the can and you could almost see the outline you
have to put up, you know, a frame around it
(25:40):
and everything.
Speaker 2 (25:41):
But now the new ones don't even have that. Yeah
you can.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
Now, this is not the kind of stuff that you're
gonna find on the shelf at home depot, right, So
just FYI to everybody, But yeah, you can find at
any good quality lighting store or online if you search
right now, and everybody should search trimless recessed can and
what you're gonna find is a can that doesn't have
(26:05):
that extra trim that mounts on top of your drywall
that makes the bump and you know, I mean it
makes a profile on your drywall ceiling. What you're gonna
find is a can that mounts when it's new construction,
you put it in and you dry wall right over.
In fact, it has its own drywall trim built into
it so that it's ready to be mudded in. And
when it's all said and done, what is it. It's
(26:27):
just a clean hole in the ceiling with light coming
out of it. And that is all, which, by the way,
in this reporter's opinion, is the whole purpose. I mean,
that is the fulfillment of the entire promise of what
a recess can light is supposed to be.
Speaker 1 (26:44):
I just looked it up and I got different images
when from trimless, can.
Speaker 5 (26:51):
You you're on the wrong sides. Don't go to your
normal sites.
Speaker 2 (26:54):
Can wait?
Speaker 1 (26:55):
I looked up another one. You said clean hole. Yeah again,
let's stay off of your normal sites. All right, let's
do don't don't do the stuf. I got to raise
my history now.
Speaker 2 (27:07):
Your cookies, so to speak.
Speaker 1 (27:13):
But I think that you know, these people that are
going to build not only in Palisades but in Altadena.
I ever even thought about until you mentioned it. New construction
in Altadena, new construction in Palisades is going to be
at a premium price. If people get hold onto their
property and afford to rebuild, I think they can sell
that house for probably double.
Speaker 2 (27:32):
What it used to be.
Speaker 5 (27:33):
Yeah, you know, we've had a couple of referrals to
us about that, like Dean, should I just should I
just sell the lot? And I'm like, you know, if
you sell the lot, you are going to lose Your
insurance company is gonna is going to degrade your return
on that sure, so you are insured. If you're insured,
rebuild because they're paying for it. It's their dollar. Rebuild
(27:58):
what you can where you can, and even if you
don't want to move back, rebuild and sell, and you
know what, you're gonna end up. You're gonna end up
recouping your losses. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
I'm sure the insurance companies want you to sell the
land because then they don't have to rebuild the house.
Speaker 5 (28:14):
Oh they would love They would love for you to
just walk away from the property.
Speaker 2 (28:18):
They would love that.
Speaker 10 (28:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (28:19):
All right, So this weekend on your show, you'll be
talking about all this stuff.
Speaker 5 (28:24):
I'm going to be talking about this stuff, woven in
between all this low profile stuff just for fun, okay,
woven in between calls. It is an all calls weekend
first people love. We do it every few weeks, and
so all of our listeners set the agenda for the show.
Anything you want to talk about regarding your home inside, outside,
DIY construction design, we can talk high end architecture, or
(28:47):
I will help you figure out how to stop that
leaky toilet and everything in between.
Speaker 1 (28:52):
Saturday six to eight am, Sunday nine to noon.
Speaker 2 (28:56):
Got it. Excellent, Thanks Bud. We'll talk to you next week.
Thanks Tim. All right, there he goes.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
Ian sharp the house whisper that guy's great and that
guy is being brought to you by Advanced Hair. How
about that one day treatment, life changing results. Make your
appointment today at advancedair dot com. Big stories were working
on plane on fire in Denver Claremont McKenna University. Some
(29:21):
lunatic might have been walking around with a gun at
some point. A full eclipse tonight at midnight here in
Los Angeles and another storm coming in tomorrow. Plus all
the snow that has dropped over the last twenty four
hours is unbelievable. A lot of cars, a lot of trucks,
a lot of delivery vans stuck up in Big Bear
(29:41):
and Lake Arrowhead, Arrowbear, all those.
Speaker 2 (29:44):
Communities up there stuns of snow.
Speaker 9 (29:48):
You're listening to Tim Conway Junior on demand from KFI
AM six forty.
Speaker 7 (29:54):
Oh.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
We've got a lot of news going on. Denver International Airport.
American Airline was on fire, landed there, people had to
evacuate on the wings of the plane. All standing on
the wings of the plane reminded me of the US
airliner with Sully Sullenberger that landed in the Hudson where
everybody had to bail out and stand on the wings
(30:17):
and wait for help. So we got another one, another
air incident, ma'am. People are very leary of flying right now.
If you don't have to fly about, there's a lot
of people. Stay in home. Stay in home.
Speaker 17 (30:31):
There is breaking news at Denver International Airport. We have
learned a plane caught fire on the tarmac Thursday evening.
Videos being posted on social media show people evacuating an
American Airlines plane you can see surrounded by smoke and
flames underneath. CBS News learned that fire started after the
plane diverted due to an engine issue.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
The fly, yeah, on fire, that was the engine issue.
It sounds mild when you say we have an engine issue.
How about the entire planes on fire.
Speaker 17 (31:01):
CIBBS News learned the fire started after the plane diverted
due to an engine issue.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
An engine issue, engine issue. It's on effing fire, that's
what you should say.
Speaker 17 (31:12):
The flight coming out of Colorado Springs and heading to
Dallas Fort Worth. So far, there are no reports of
any injuries.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
That's great news. Great news.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
All right, Let's get into a lot of snow up
in the mountains too, a lot of snow. Jackie shadow
buried in snow with the three eaglets. There's a lot
of vans, cvs ups, you know, delivery vans up in
that area that have gotten sideways all squirrely with all
the snow up there. People putting on their own chains.
(31:45):
There's a lot of snow in the mountains right now,
ton of it, Big Bear Arrowhead, that whole run, lots
of snow and people are going to be a snowed in,
you know. So hopefully they have a supplies for the
next couple of days because they the plows may not
get to them for a couple of days like we
had two years ago up in the mountains where you know,
they had to send the National Guard up there to
(32:07):
help these people. All right, emergency gadgets, emergency gadgets. We're
all worried about emergencies now that must have Emergency gadgets
might save your life.
Speaker 7 (32:16):
Here, let's start off with water damage. Believe it or not,
water damage is eight times more likely to occur than
fest or fire. So right over here, these are smart
water leak detectors.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Oh, I have one of those. It's a smart water
leak detector. We have it near our washing machine near
at our laundry room and it goes into the bottom
sort of you know the box where the washer is,
and it connects to the internet and if it detects
any water there, it tells me immediately. And this could
(32:47):
save your house. So listen to this carefully. This could
save you a ton of damage.
Speaker 7 (32:52):
Smart water leak detectors.
Speaker 1 (32:54):
Smart water leak detectors, and they're cheap, they're like fifteen bucks.
Speaker 7 (32:58):
You place those in areas acceptible to getting wet. For example,
your big wine cellar basement, you know, art room.
Speaker 1 (33:05):
Your wine cellar that's the first one off her lips
or wine cellar. Where do these people say, what do
they think the audience is for this newscas?
Speaker 7 (33:14):
Your bag, wine cellar.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
Your wine cellar, your clay tennis court, you know, if
you're right, your your TV room, your screener room, you
know the room where you count your gold in case
water gets into the room where you count your gold.
Speaker 2 (33:32):
Who's the thanks watching.
Speaker 7 (33:33):
This big wine cellar basement you.
Speaker 1 (33:35):
Know ar, yeah, basement, not wine cellar. Who has wine cellar?
Speaker 7 (33:39):
These are areas you also don't want to get wet.
What happens is you put these there into detext moisture,
and it sends you alert audible alerts that will say, okay, leakage,
leakage like a smoke alarm exactly. And even parent's going to.
Speaker 5 (33:51):
Really use this when I put the hose in the
window well and plotted the entire oh my.
Speaker 7 (33:55):
God, yeah, don't you wishes existed. So this detects your
phone as well, and as hell you exactly what's going on.
Speaker 6 (34:01):
That's cool.
Speaker 7 (34:01):
Now onto this right so here, this is the mow
and Flows smart water shut off. So this this shuts
off heavy duty and learned your specific water usage, so
it's specific to your home. It says, oh, wow, they're
using way too much water something exactly. So in the
event that it detects a catastrophic water leak, it will
send a alert to your phone, and if it does
(34:22):
not hear from you, it automatically shuts off. Oh cool,
So that's a really big one.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
That's a good idea. Water damage is the worst.
Speaker 7 (34:28):
And then you put these two together and if it
feels any moisture, it also shuts off your water as well.
And that's great too, because you can sometimes have problems
with insurance if it's.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Not like the.
Speaker 7 (34:38):
Kinds of things like that exactly, So they are a
head of it. Mowing right over here has been doing
so many things in the water usage area. Also think
about it. It detects too much water. You can save
water as well and money. Money, Yeah, we like that.
We out of money.
Speaker 5 (34:50):
A lot of people lost so many of their important documents.
Speaker 7 (34:53):
Absolutely, so this is the century Safe right here. This
is a digital safe box for two hundred and eighty dollars.
You put in your code and you have all your
valuable things that you wish you could have kept. So
what's really interesting about this water resistant to protect your
valuables up to eight inches of water and also fire
resistant as well. And that's for about an hour. So
(35:13):
another thing we really want to talk about, all our passports,
our ideas, our social security, all the files many people
wish they had saved digitally. This is a really good
one as well. This is the Century Safe file folder.
And this is only seventy two dollars. It's heavy duty.
It comes with a key. And I love how you're
(35:34):
keeping all your things in one place, and you know,
God for you pass out place and you.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
Know there she goes made this safe clothes donn place
and you.
Speaker 7 (35:43):
Know God forbade there's an emergency.
Speaker 2 (35:45):
You still got everything.
Speaker 7 (35:47):
Heavy exactly, It's solid man.
Speaker 1 (35:50):
Okay, moving on, So if you buy a safe, I
think you should probably buy it online.
Speaker 2 (35:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
I don't know because I think if you go in
to a store and buy a safe and somebody sees
you buying a safe, they might write down, you know,
your address or your license number. I'm like, why is
that guy buying a twelve hundred dollars safe. Has he
got a lot of jewelryes got a lot of watches,
a lot of cash in the house.
Speaker 2 (36:18):
I don't know.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
Maybe I'm too suspicious, but I think that that does
happened in the past.
Speaker 7 (36:22):
So this is really interesting. This is the ting sensor
for fire prevention. So everyone has a smoke detector in
their home, but this actually helps prevent the fire. So
plug it into your outlet. It connects with your WiFi,
and it tells you which ones actually need to be
taken out because, for example, let's say your blankets, those
electric blankets, or your let's say your space heaters, these
(36:44):
cause fires. This tells you through the app. Okay, you
need to check on that there's something going on right now.
Speaker 5 (36:48):
So I'm confused. So you've plug this in just in
your house.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
Yeah, so this one monitor, you plug it into your
home and it tells you everything that has an electric man.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
This is these all of these are for people to
just drink all day long, and they forget everything. They
forget the stove, they forget the waters on, they forget
the sprinklers are on, the space heaters on, everything's just on.
And these things all tell you they're all for you know,
dopey people like.
Speaker 7 (37:13):
Myself Wi Fi connectivity. And then exactly so this is
the ting and it's only ninety nine dollars and one
of these is good for your entire home.
Speaker 2 (37:23):
There you go.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
Okay, we're keeping an eye on the Denver story. I'm
sure they love updates all night. See what's going on
with Denver. The plane on fire, the snow in the mountains.
We got another storm coming in tomorrow. Claremont University looks
like that is they were wrapping that up there. There
was a or story earlier. There's a guy with a
gun around the university. Man long long day. Right here
(37:46):
