hail of bullets on a western Sydney home this morning.
The property at Guildford West was attacked before a car
was found torched nearby soon after at Villawood. Nobody was
hurt in the shooting. We'll be bringing you more breaking
details as they come into the newsroom. A Queensland father

has been charged with domestic violence murder after a house
fire west of Brisbane. Forty five year old Cameron Hunt
allegedly set fire to the home in gm north of
Toowoomba early yesterday morning. The body of his wife, Louise Hunt,
was found after the blaze. Hunt was located by police
and an address in Redcliffe yesterday afternoon and is expected

(00:49):
to appear in court into Woomba today. And if you
are in a domestic violence situation, Dvconnect can help on

killer Aaron Patterson has been seen for the first time
since she was charged with murdering three family members by
allegedly serving upper meal leasd with deadly mushrooms as a

(01:13):
stell Grieping reports. It comes just days before her trial
is scheduled to be in.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Well.

Speaker 4 (01:21):
For legal reasons, we can't tell you what happened inside
the courtroom, but outside, the fifty year old mother of
two was spotted wearing an olive green jumper, black pants
and sandals. She was wearing reading glasses and carrying a book.
Patterson has been charged with murdering and attempting to murder
family members after hosting an allegedly deadly lunch at her

(01:42):
home in leon Gatha. Police say she cooked and served
at beef wellington laced with death cap mushrooms. Just days later,
Pattison's former in laws, Gail and Don Patterson, and Gail's sister,
Heather Wilkinson all died in hospital. Heather's husband Ian survived.
Now Patterson has pleaded not guilty to all the charges

(02:02):
against her. Her trial is due to start before the
end of the month.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
National security concerns a rifing canbra this morning over a
Russian bid to establish a military base in Indonesia. Moscow
has reportedly requested Jakarta to station aircraft in the Papurok province,
just thirteen hundred kilometers.

Speaker 3 (02:22):
From dar obviously do not want to see Russian influence
in our region.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
We have a very close relationship with Indonesia. We have
a growing defense relationship, the Deputy PM said in a
statement after speaking with his Indonesian counterpart. The reports of
Russian aircraft operating from there are not true. Meantime, Anthony
Albernezian Peter Dutton's dreams of election victory, lying how they

(02:50):
can sell the dream of home ownership. The Prime Minister,
hoping his plan will bank him a longest stay at
the launch.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
At the halfway point of the campaign, will do the
selfie taking the contest back home. Both on Melbourne's urban
fringes typical of the mortgage belt seats. Both sides are
targeting around the country. Australians have lost the dream of
home ownership under this golpment.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
We have a plan for supply as well as a
plan for demand.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
As each deals with campaign stumbles. Anthony Alberesi, having claimed
Peter Dutton was measuring up the curtains by declaring his
Prime Minister he would live in Sydney, now mister Albanzi
telling the Nightly he'll lead Labor into a third election,
having not even won a second isn't it hubris to
say you're going to run for a third election? Why
not just commit to four or five Beathawks record.

Speaker 3 (03:42):
No, what it is is saying. It's in response to
will you serve a full term?

Speaker 1 (03:46):
And National's leader David Little Proud slam by Labour for
saying this about their Bendigo MP Lisa Chesters.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Lisa Chesters has about as much poul as at Chawah.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
The fact that we are in an environment where leading
male politician in our country thinks that it's appropriate to
compare a female MP to a dog.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
I sincerely hope that she takes no offense. There was
nothing malase in it. Cleaning up messes as they both
returned to their campaign party tricks. Mister Dutton's tenth service
station visit so far that we'll save twenty five cents
a leader out only if you're going to Liberal National
the next election. Mister Albanezi, He's ninth medical facility, the.

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Care they need when they need it, with just this
little bit of green and gold plastic here.

Speaker 1 (04:33):
Visits like this are a reminder that this election is
actually one hundred and fifty individual elections in seats like
lines here in Tasmania, where local announcements turn local votes.
The leaders finding rare agreement though about a common foe.
Hearing that the Greens planned a fundraising rave party in
Wa on Anzac.

Speaker 3 (04:55):
Day and Zac Day is a day of respect, I.

Speaker 1 (04:58):
Think it's completely inappropriate. Now hours later the Greens canceled
it as the Leaders found more common ground.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
We don't we call the school of wealth.

Speaker 1 (05:08):
Evidence that even for a marauding politician on the campaign trail,
Dantel Tono, there really is no place like home, Mark Riley.
Seven News.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Seven News can reveal the head of Melbourne's famous Gangland
Task Force was involved in a corrupt plan to turn
drug king ping Tony Mockball's own lawyer into a secret agent.
The officers involved have lost a legal fight to keep
their name secret. They are former head of the Piranha
Task Force, Jim O'Brien and Inspector Dale Flynn. The court

(05:40):
had found they were part of a criminal conspiracy with
lawyer Nicolo Goobbo working against her own client Tony Mockbull,
who was released from prison eleven days ago on bail.
A twenty six year old woman has been arrested after
a horror stabbing attack at an Adelaide shopping center. The
woman allegedly stabbed a twenty five year old man at

(06:01):
the Seaford Center yesterday afternoon in front of shocked witnesses.

Speaker 5 (06:05):
Were terrifying, especially with young children around.

Speaker 1 (06:09):
Yeah, it's scary, scary, very scary.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Or I did hear that there was a bit of
a scuffle that happened outside the center and they walked
down when they've moved on by security. Crazy, Like the
amount of crime that's happening is just there's a lot
that happens here recently, and.

Speaker 5 (06:23):
It's yeah, it's not great.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
The woman and the man are known to each other.

(07:08):
sixty five kilometers per hour and predicts it could intensify
into a Category three system on Thursday, before turning southeast

the cusp of a full blown diplomatic disaster, with Australia
up in arms over a decision to ban a Toronto
cafe from selling vegimite. Let's go live now to US
correspondent Miley Hogan Miley, the Aussie cafe owner, has vowed
to fight the decision and he's got the backing from

(08:17):
our own PM.

Speaker 6 (08:19):
Gemma Good Morning. Well rightly. So this is a battle
that has attracted the attention of the Australian Prime Minister
and his support as well. Australian cafe owner Leyton Walters
has been told to stop selling veggimite at his Toronto cafe.
He sells the jars and he also offers the famous
Australian breakfast favorite vegimite on toast. It's a popular item

(08:39):
on his menu. But he's been told by the Canadian
Food Inspection Agency that vegimite doesn't meet Canada's health standards
because it has added B vitamins. He was confused because
you can buy vegimite in Canada from specialty grocery stores
also through Amazon, so, in his words, he was flawed
to get this order.

Speaker 5 (09:00):
In a lot of disappointed Australians and Canadians and others
that come to our shop. I've spoken to the Australian
Trade Commission and I've spoken to a bunch of Australians
and we're going to try our best to push back
and do what's right and make sure that we can
just sell our bloody vegimite, you know, like a happy
little vegimite as we most of us are.

Speaker 6 (09:24):
Well, he might be a happy little vegiemite soon. Canada's
embassy says that it is looking into this issue, so
he may be able to sell the famous bread again soon.

Speaker 2 (09:32):
