Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, It is so good to welcome back a
couple of champions to the studio.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
Really, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 1 (00:06):
We've been massive fans of these boys ever since I
worked out what Instagram was. But they are the boys
Checkers and Shrake. Good morning you too.

Speaker 2 (00:15):
Good to be back back at Adelaide, but good to
be back at mix now.

Speaker 1 (00:19):
If you are working out who they are, remember the
guys we had on because they drink a lot of
milk at different times on the hill and everything else,
and then they were also trying to catch up with
no Bak Djokovic ages and ages ago, and they did
the tyrons.

Speaker 3 (00:31):
All of those viral footy things you've seen probably come
from them.

Speaker 1 (00:34):
They're the blokes that essentially all of your kids are
trying to be like. So blame them, and you can
blame them now cool thirteen one or two three, that's fine.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
Sorry, If your kids have tried to emulate either of
their haircuts.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
I I don'tenough. We should be great role models for kids.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
We've got horrible haircuts, horrible a footy, have a horrible diet.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
Average diet.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Because he's got a big game tonight, don't tell us
about that, and then tell us about maybe the diet,
the pre pre game preparations.

Speaker 4 (01:00):
Yeah, with a big games tonight. It's a lockally'ssus Elizabeth.
So we've come back to play for our junior footy clubs.
I'm playing for locally as myself. Tres playing for Elizabeth,
which obviously haven't won a game yet this year, big battle.
We're going to be playing against each other for the
first time we've played with each other, but we're playing
against each other at Elizabeth Wall Club, which is like

(01:21):
Ghana Park.

Speaker 2 (01:22):
I haven't played there before.

Speaker 1 (01:25):
Yeah, yeah, country, good, God's Country.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
Sure you've got it.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
And this of course is the return of the biggest
division twelve Resi's game. So this is two point zero.
And for those of you that are going, oh my god,
I remember seeing the footage of everybody dressed in red
and black storming a random field on a Friday night.
It was these boys that did all that. So how's
the prep been going?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Well, Yeah, we've recruited a few good players this year
because last year we're recruiting not so good players. So
we've caught up a few x AFL boys and we've
got like Daniel Motlop, Tom Jonas, Bernie v and Cedri
Jarman and John Platton. Really yeah, so yeah, there'd be
a few fe actual okay footballers out there tonight.

Speaker 1 (02:10):
I was gonna say, how are you feeling about that?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Straight?

Speaker 5 (02:12):
Scared a lot of competition. I think the camera has
been someone else besides me this year. That'll be good,
should be good fun.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
There is a bit of pressure on you, though, Straight,
because you have gone back. You are wearing the famous
blue and yellow, yeah, the Elizabeth Eagles, and you have
taken on the role as captain this year. Yeah, and
you're quite a mild mannered man.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (02:31):
I'm pretty loud on the field, but I've got no
leadership qualities, probably because I'm not good at football. So
when I'm on the first yell like nonsense. So it's
like tell boys that do something but I wouldn't do.

Speaker 1 (02:41):
So yeah, follow me in the battle, guys.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yeah, so how are you going to do this pre
game speech? Because I've filled in as a captain for
our C grade, which is a similar level to you guys,
and I know there's pressure on this speech. You've got
twenty two blokes scattered around you and they ask stare
and you in the face, can you sort.

Speaker 2 (03:01):
Of take some advice.

Speaker 5 (03:03):
I was sort of got a part of the Bernie
vince I think, so that was sort of the what
I was going to do. But captains, yeah, Bernie vince
On one of the boys been playing there.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
But John Platton's probably gonna be yeah.

Speaker 5 (03:12):
Probably, yeah, you win a brown name metal probably.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
He played the speech.

Speaker 1 (03:17):
So I don't want to put any more pressure on you.
But I caught up with one of the great captains
going around Bickley's wild last night, I mean, because that's
where you get the real news. And their sons went
along to the last division of Division twelve too, and Tyson,
the eldest boy, got caught up in the mad crush
as everybody stormed the field, and he came back to

(03:37):
his mum and said, Mum, I thought I was going
to die. I was getting crushed out there, but I
think I touched Ray and it was the greatest.

Speaker 2 (03:46):
That was.

Speaker 5 (03:46):
That was like a big dog pile. I couldn't breathe
with in there. But no, that was Do you believe it?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
Because I mean, really no scrap football and you run
around there and you're hoping to have over five thousand
people there again tonight and sitting there watching you guys
play a game of football where they'll probably be six
drop punts kicked in the entire Yeah, a.

Speaker 5 (04:07):
Lot of mongrels.

Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:09):
Max maybe a little bit jealous because he played his
two hundred the other week and didn't have five thousand,
had about thirty people.

Speaker 1 (04:15):
He had a very small mummy made banner though, that
has balloons on the.

Speaker 5 (04:19):
Top, balloons on the balloons.

Speaker 2 (04:23):
You get to share it with some of those. We did.

Speaker 3 (04:25):
We played two together, me and a good mate from school.

Speaker 2 (04:27):
It was great, fantastic. Max got through the banner first.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
Yeah, that's a winy to move for sure. Yeah, you
reckon through the banner first, the all time power move.

Speaker 3 (04:35):
He was worried that it might be too much tape
on there, so if he ran through it first, he
might bowl over both of our mums who were holding
up the banner. And I said, you know what, I'm
gonna take that risk.

Speaker 2 (04:43):
It's obviously not.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
A larger individual because I don't worried about gone to
the ban at all.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Low boys, good luck tonight made the best team win
and it's wonderful to have. I guess the possibility of
a win for those of us that have been left
in the crows heart started. Yeah, it was bad last night.
You guys were at the game.

Speaker 2 (05:04):
We were there on the hill, on the hill, how.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Does that going down? And how was the Crow's lost
to Richmond going down?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
On the hill? Was having the best of time?

Speaker 5 (05:10):
Yeah, At the start of the year we did a
video and I predicted Richmond to win the Spoon, so
I was, yeah, coppying all sorts of abuse. But yeah,
I'm a bit flat. I needed to win and didn't
get it. So my weekend started poor.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
We're going to take two losses this weekend.

Speaker 1 (05:25):
I got a chance a bit of chat, all right, boys,
kicking off at six thirty tonight.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
Tonight, Elizabeth, if you can't come down, it'll be on
YouTube stream. But come down because it'd be a lot
of fun on the night.

Speaker 1 (05:36):
And it's absolutely free to attend. It's Lockily's v. Elizabeth.
The biggest game of Division twelve resis two point zero.
Thanks so much, Marbloe boys here, thank you

Speaker 2 (05:45):
