Last night was the final that me and the girls
were also over there, and it was a lot.

I didn't get to go on Safari, but you had
quite a wild ride because Sam was announced king of
the jungle. But we have our own king, our homegrown king,
your husband.

household and it's my husband, Mattie J.

Maybe yeah, ud Duke Duke matt Nah, we need a

How are you feeling today? I mean, last night was
the final. We got to watch it together. It's so
hard sitting there not knowing what's about to happen.

Can I just say it's a miracle I didn't crash.
Driving is so hard after thirty days and not being
behind a wheel, being like, maybe go say that. I
know that my head's still spinning. It felt like a
couple of minutes ago, I was still stuck in a campsite,
stirring at a fire for fourteen hours a day, and
now I'm here on radio.
Speaker 3 (01:09):
Do you think it was harder or easier than you think?
Because so many people tell you what to expect when
you go.
Speaker 4 (01:14):
In the whole time, I was like, God, damn it,
brit you set me up to fail. Because we had
a chat. Britt talked about it like it was honestly
like a glamping trip away for a weekend at Easter.
That's what I thought it was going to be like.
And then the whole time, I just was constantly going,
why didn't Britt manage my expectations just a bit better
and tell me that this is hell on earth?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Okay, so hear me out. I did give you some warning.
I genuinely loved it.
Speaker 4 (01:39):
You said the camp is a little bit smoky at times,
and that's it. That's all I had.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
No I did say, I imagine all the parents said
that it was way harder for them when you've got kids.
So I was just like having the time of my life.
But I imagine when you've got kids, it's ten times worse.
And I did tell you that I imagined that every time.
Speaker 4 (02:01):
I honestly I don't think you did. I don't think
you did. It was so much harder. I look back,
and I think, God, I was so naive going into it.
I also thought that, you know when you watch reality
TV and people are in tears and you're like, come on,
like stopping ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Well, speaking of being in tears, we do have some
audio from last night's episode because your reaction when you
very first saw Marley, Lola and I guess myself walk
into the jungle, I actually thought, oh, how much therapy
were you going to have to pay for this man?
Speaker 4 (02:31):
She said to me. She's like, can you stop crying.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
You're embarrassing, You're scaring the children. There's like stop bubbles
coming out and have a listen to this. You're again, I'm.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
So happy to see you, baba. Daddy day.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
No, when you come home, you just stay home for
edver and don't go anywhere else when you come home.
Lots of daddy days. Yeah, it's I'm grin. It's so wholesome.
Like once we got through.

The blubbery, the gasping forever, like I'm drowning.
Speaker 1 (03:28):
Can I say you might not be king of the jungle,
but the most and I think the biggest take home
from this, the thing you should be most excited about,
is the fact that Lola, our second daughter, our youngest,
now likes you. Because when you left, she did not care,
and now you cannot get rid of her.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
She's absolutely obsessed with you.
Speaker 4 (03:44):
It's weird. It's done a full one eighty. I remember
after we filmed the finale and we're up in the
studio with Robin Julia. We had some of the other
camp mates, the final six were all there and I
was so excited to see them as well, and I
couldn't because I just had Lola on my hip and
I put it down for a second. She was like,
pick me up.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
What are you doing? One hundred. She's always been the
child that's been very much like mummy, mommy, mommy. I
only want mummy, not daddy.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
And then now I know what it's like to be
on the flip side of that love because she looks
at me now and she's.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Like not you.
Speaker 3 (04:12):
As makes the heart grow fonder. All you needed to
do if anyone's playing at home is go away for
a month and make your child like you.
Speaker 4 (04:19):
It's that simple. Why did I leave for Africa like
months before?
Speaker 1 (04:23):
Look now I'm devastated because who's been there doing the
hard slog for the past five weeks?
Speaker 4 (04:27):
Me, I'm not Maley Marley. You can take out.
Speaker 3 (04:30):
What do you think that was the hardest thing? Like
lack of food, the bottom, the food eating challenges, being
away from the fam, being away from me, no sexy time,
only having mengos.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
What are the easiest? The easiest parts was the no
sexy time. It's it's funny that when you're in that
environment right settled, which has just gone.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
Off because I wasn't there, I understand. No, it's just
dead inside. You just did that.
Speaker 4 (04:54):
One of the questions that I asked before I went
in they set me down. I said, do you have
any questions at all about your experience that you're about
to go into? And I was like, where do you do?
You know? Your jungle jacks?
Speaker 2 (05:06):
Jesus and you asked that?

Yeah, And they were all like.
Speaker 2 (05:09):
So proud of this man achiever.
Speaker 4 (05:11):
And the executive producers were looking at each other and
they're like like, Keith, do you want to answer this one?
And He's like, oh god, I'll try and answer this
one and when you're in there, you do you have
zero's sex drive at all, which is and then you
come back and you're like, it was that's being generous.
It's about forty five seconds of my best work.

But I had a great time everyone.

Beforehand, I was like, Laura, I just want to apologize,
this is going to be over very quickly.

Idea of it, but the hardest part was it was
just being away from the family and not having any contact.
You're yes, you're starved of food, you're starved of any
kind of excitement for the majority of the day, but
then you just completely starved. You're deprived of any contact
with your family. And I underestimated just how impossible that

was going to be because you always have contact. You know,
the longest that you normally have is like an hour
or two that you don't speak to your family. So
to have thirty days, it.

Was surprising how productive I was without having Matt call
me every forty five minutes.

You are needy. Your face, you are very needy. We
all know that. Here, Yeah, I missed it. I missed it.

now you guys are like you suck. You're desperate, little man.
