Welcome to Movie Snacks the podcast where three friends get together and talk about movies and what to eat with them. Each week we pick a topic or theme at random and each bring one movie to talk about that fits that category as well as what snacks, we think, compliments our movie best. *Wedding bells play in the background* Ahhhh love, one of life's big moments that we love to immortalize on the big screen. this week join us as we dive into some of our favorite movies about weddings: The Princess Bride (1987) w/ a M.L.T., The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004) w/ Pear flavored Ben & Jerry's Ice cream, and Table 19 (2017) w/ pigs in a blanket.
This episode we tackle the difficult subjects and problematic content of some movies that haven't aged all that well; Specifically Hoodwinked (2005) with a carrot cake cupcake, Overboard (1987) with cream pie and Sixteen Candles (1984) with lemon birthday cake. While they may be tough to watch, join us as we discuss the good and the bad that are these Movie Snacks!
With some debate, we've settled on The Mummy with Saltine Crackers, Mulan (1998) with White Rice and The Parent Trap (1961) with Fig Newtons for this category on Movie Snacks!
This week we recover from our previous episode's struggles with some good trashy movies we keep coming back to. Monster-in-Law (2005) with BBQ, Gods of Egypt (2016) with a "Little Egypt" Cocktail, and G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009) with a M.R.E. (Meal-Ready-to-Eat). Happy Movie Snacking!
