His life serves as a reminder to what can happen in our lives if we ignore the direction of God. From this message, we will be challenged to listen to what God's word is calling us to do and not go the way of Saul. Plus, we will see how God's providence continues to work in David's life for his good.
What will you do with your life? As we get closer to the end of 1 Samuel, Pastor Ben will preach through chapters 26-28, where we will see Saul consult the DEAD because God isn't speaking to him. Through Saul, we see a man of immense potential waste his life. Will you do the same, or be like David, the man after God's own heart?
