If God is for us then who can be against us? The Holy Spirit helps us in our weaknesses. When life gives us questions we cannot answer, we look to God's unshakeable love.
We know the story ends with God reconciling the world. His kingdom will come.
Why isn't God fixing the world? We may want to bring justice into our own hands. But Jesus teaches its not up to us to remove the weeds from the wheat.
It is not up to us to decide who is worthy. God, the Great Gardener will decide. We can focus on our mission to make disciples of all nations, loving god and loving people.
Jesus shares the good news through the Parable of the Sower. God is free from our worldly obsession with success. God the Sower spreads grace, wreaklessly cultivating joy and peace.
Father Biddy returns and discusses the freedom we can appreciate because of God. He is your praise. God is greater than all, high and lofty. God's attention is directed to those lowly and left out.
By living God’s desires and hopes for us, we are free. The sun shines on all with no room for partiality. Let us rejoice.
Especially during election years, we see the manipulation tactics of advertising on display. Marketers call you to action by appealing to your self-interest. To the contrast, Jesus calls us to take up our crosses.
But choosing Jesus, you can become whole. Jesus is love, and love is more powerful than any worldly interest. Surrender to Jesus and discover holistic healing and an abundant life.
Our faith is only as strong as our belief. And our belief is as strong as our actions.
To become closer in relationship with God, focus on relentless faith. God is sovereign AND love. Walk in faith so God’s will can be done on earth as it is in heaven.
On Trinity Sunday, Reverend Bob Dolen preached about the Holy Trinity. God is one, God is a unity and God is 3 persons, all equal and inseparable. How exactly does this work? We may want to perform a systematic analysis to try and make sense of the Holy Trinity. But we can embrace the mystery for direction. The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are an inseparable unity.
If we have the indwelling of the Holy Trinity, Christians have the a...
Pentecost is the church's birthday...so we party!
What do we need for a party?
An invitation: God invites all race and nation and that means EVERYBODY!
Presents: He asks for our presence. Give of yourself to bring peace to this earth.
The Feast of Pentecost invites us to embrace our beliefs with great conviction and welcome the spiritual phenomenon of the Holy Spirit in our hearts.
Awaken us!
We celebrated Senior Sunday with our graduating seniors. One of our amazing high school seniors, Kennedy, preached the sermon. She shared her experiences and finding comfort in Jesus.
Congratulations to all graduates.
Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Death is scary for us all. Jesus spoke as the comforter and encourager.
"I am the way, the truth and the life." Jesus says to follow him and not fear. Perfect love casts out fear. and Jesus loves us perfectly. Jesus continues to encourage through compassion and love.
The 2nd Sunday of Easter Mother Dunn talks faith. Peter’s words about faith show us that sometimes we must have countercultural beliefs. We must face social and moral chaos with faith. Death could not hold Jesus. The resurrection holds up a mirror to remind us that we have been emboldened to exercise our faith
We must never allow ourselves to get caught up in the despair of today and lose the brightness of Jesus’s birth...
Run with fear and great joy! Christ is Risen! The first witnesses to the resurrection ran with fear and great joy. The new world came as Jesus defied death and exposed the frailty of the empire.
The world has been redeemed, and the power of those who live by death is empty.
Just as Mary and Mary ran with fear and great joy, we must live the same way. There is great need and great conflict, but we can be joyous knowing G...
Father Biddy and Mother Dunn walk us through the passion as we experience Holy Week and prepare for the resurrection of Jesus.
The story of Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead is a precursor to Jesus’ ascension into heaven. It is when those opposing him find him truly dangerous.
As we reflect, consider your own comforts with prejudice and violence. What complicity impedes the call God has for your life? Many times, it is easier for us to leave all of who we are in the dark. But God invites us out of our self-inflicted tombs.
Join us all Holy Week wit...
Bishop Frank Logue, our chief pastor of central and south Georgia visited Saint Paul's this week. He talked about how God looks on the content of the heart. The bible is full of stories of unlikely heroes. We are all unlikely heroes called to serve using our God-given talents.
Without credentials, power or answers we are called to participate in God’s redemption. The world already has a savior, and it isn’t us, but he saves through us.
God meets us exactly where we are just like the Samaritan woman at the well. Living water can wash us through and through, demonstrating the universality of God’s family
Even though we are a mess, we must tell the story of our ongoing redemption. We are a...
We are Christians by faith, not genre.
If we believe God’s word is true, we follow the commandments to love God and to love people.
Our testimonies would not exclude or put boundaries around people.
During Lent we take a sacred pause to strengthen our faith. Faith is not meant to be compartmentalized into genres to fit our preferences. We are Christians by faith, not genre.
Reflections on our country at war.
We pray fo...
Jesus resists temptation in the wilderness. Jesus doesn’t “prove” himself. He shows the power of grace and steadfastness. Mirroring his love and grace, we can triumph over evil.
