(00:25):
of night. I can't say that we told you so,
but we did tell you to look out for a
big night for Bronnie because I mean, they had a
turn to him yes day. Well not only that, I
said it during yesterday show, and I'm certainly not doing
though I told you so. But I did say, with
all those players out, even if the Lakers only put
up I said, if they only put up minimal points,
(00:47):
someone had to score them. And would you believe Ronnie
seventeen points, a couple threes, made a sweet pass that
made like the highlight reel, so you know what, But dude,
he was hitting floaters, hitting threes Like you said many
wrong about Bronnie full court passes. He had seventeen points,
five assists, three rebounds. The athleticism, though, is noticeable, and
(01:10):
again the touch seems like he has a nice touch,
a little floater. Like I said, he just looked nice.
He looked good. So can he grow from there? Absolutely,
he's a rookie, and even guys like Steven A. Smith
I may have been wrong. I may have been wrong
about Bronnie. You know, you have to give him his
props if we're gonna dump on the guy and talk
(01:32):
about nepotism and he doesn't belong there and this and that. Hey,
he's a rookie. He played a good game. Maybe he
just needs more opportunity. But you're changing your tune after
one game. Dude, he was good. He was running past
again last night. Thank you, just had to foul him
a few times. What do you mean one game that
he actually had to play. He hasn't had that much
playing time.
Speaker 2 (01:53):
To lose, and there's no like you said, it's like
nobody was expecting the Lakers to win that game.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
So when you go in with that.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Mentality, is it is it really what he's like. I'm
not trying to take away from I don't dislike the kid,
but on one games.
Speaker 3 (02:07):
On the on the flip side, though, what if he
had gone one for eighteen.
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Yeah, it's something to build off of. It.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
No matter what he does, he's going to be talked about,
unfortunately for him. But the Lakers lost.
Speaker 1 (02:19):
I mean see if he was on the Clippers, he
put up seventeen at least every night, right probably? Okay,
Look they lost. That was low. It's something to build
off of. And you gotta figure the timing is great
because just yesterday we were talking about how he said
he sees the criticism, he's aware of it, and it
motivates him. So he sort of put it where his
mouth was, and he showed it last night. It shows
(02:40):
that the pressure's not going to get to him. He
looked good.
Speaker 4 (02:43):
Why can't you acknowledge that he had an incredible game,
single game without issuing a formal apology for what you've
said before that.
Speaker 5 (02:50):
Because Stephen is ass I'm sorry, it's like just his game,
and then it's like acknowledge it, and then once it becomes,
you know, a trend or a regular thing, then maybe
you can issue.
Speaker 1 (03:02):
Exactly. I think I.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Think we all know why he's trying to get it
back in Lebron's good graces.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
Yeah, no doubt, no doubt. Hey, you know what it
postes a question that might be fun to start the
show with. There's so many Rando stories today in the
world of sports that we're gonna have fun with. But
nepotism a word that's thrown around so much in sports
and entertainment and music, bies babies. It really is like
a baby's an eye rolling buzzword. Nepotism sounds like a
(03:30):
word that means something else. I'll give you another example,
when Covino is going through his divorce. Say it took
seven minutes for me to bring up your divorce today. Yeah, man, wow,
seven minutes. I remember I sat down with Cavino at
his divorce attorney's office because I'm like a great friend,
like that, I'm the best guy. And his divorce attorney said, Steve,
you're such a mensch, and I'm like, yo, she talking
(03:52):
smack deal. Yeah, I thought she wanted to throw hands
like a mensch doesn't sound like a good word. Mensch
means you're a swell fellah. Nepotism like sounds like something
out of a drug commercial, like you need Valtrex for it. Yeah,
nempathism sound doesn't sound like what it is. But what
(04:13):
about it? Skuy Rizzy for your nepotism. So lebron you know,
goes above and beyond to try to make the path
easier for Bronnie. We would all do anything for our kids.
That's something we all forget right. By the way, the
interesting part of that story is, yeah, it's so obvious,
but it does happen in every other industry. Why is
(04:34):
it so odd when it happens in sports? So it
poses the question of what industries are you okay with
nepotism and what industries are you not? Like if John's
Plumbing has been run by good old John Johnson for
thirty years and he hands it over to his son,
and that was sounds like, oh, in a plumbing company,
that's not nepotism, that's a family business.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Because it's like if his son was with him all
the time I'm learning the job. I don't think that's nepotism.
I think that's just handing it off to your your descendants.
Speaker 4 (05:05):
Nepotism would be like if you gave your son like
a high profile job that like other that has no
experience in really other qualified plumbers were going after, but
your son, who's a novice, got that job. Like that's
like when Billy Madison was gonna be the heir of
the Madison Hotel Forte.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
Nepotism past the third grade gonna make a huge statement.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Well, you could argue about Brownie's you know, playing days
all through school and almost dying on the court at USC.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
It's true.
Speaker 3 (05:35):
It's not like he just walked onto a court, you know,
one day and was like I want to play.
Speaker 4 (05:40):
Yeah, we all know Lebron did this for himself and
not his kid, right, Yeah, but let's all be real.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
He would have been here for himself. He's just there
a little sooner than he would have been. I mean,
so when it comes to maybe the plumbing example, I
was saym quick to the punch on that, but let's
say he's quick to the point to point. No fake them.
If your doctor buss, doctor bus, and you know your
(06:06):
kids are the people that run the Lakers, that's not
nepotism in your mind in some capacity.
Speaker 6 (06:11):
Uh No, I think I've definitely you're handing off like
a billion dollar enterprise to your children, Like it's kind
of like a succession.
Speaker 1 (06:19):
You watching Running Point on the waves? Yeah on Netflix.
Speaker 6 (06:23):
I mean no, I know the premise of it, but yeah,
like didn't, didn't Genie Bush. She had to kind of
like wrestle away control from her brothers who like were
just incompetent at running things, which which is and she's
doing a better job than them for for sure, which
is the plot of running point of running point, My
point is that the key point we see nepotism and
(06:43):
favoritism all the time. I just wonder why we have
such a I don't I don't think I can say
it on Fox hold on, why do we have such
a problema with it?
Speaker 1 (06:52):
Because nepotism at its core is giving a job that
should go to a much more skilled individual that job
because of their name alone. And yes, you give it's
getting an opportunity where an opportunity wouldn't exist just strictly
based on your family. Yeah, but there's more to it
than just that, because guess what, you know, who gets
(07:14):
the killed cheers when they're in the game. You know
the fans are most excited about when they're in the game.
You know who could probably put more asses in the seats,
and other rookies that you don't know, Bronnie James, there's
still value in him. And I always have an issue
when people really harp on nepo babies and nepotism because
I think that will that will open the door. But
(07:35):
once you're through that door, if you don't deliver on
your own, you will fall flat and it will be embarrassing.
But m and the reality is, Bob Bam. There's there's
an artist right now that's big on the popsy and
your kids may listen to her. I was Sam if
you want to cue up some Gracie Abrams. She's a
hot young artist who opens for Taylor Swift. She's got
a couple of pop songs that are top ten. I
didn't even do it, didn't dwn to me. I didn't
(07:56):
realize it was JJ Abrams's daughter. But you know what,
if she's stunk, would the songs be big? It all
comes out in the wash. You could get that advantage
in life, but you're right, you have to deliver. I mean,
we just talked about running point Kate Hudson. Doesn't she
come from a Hollywood family? Yeah, Goldie haunts her mother.
I mean, if Kate Hudson stunk, guess what we see
(08:19):
her in a couple of things, and then we'd be
like that fades.
Speaker 6 (08:21):
Away, That label will go away. If you are good,
if you're up to snuff, it'll disappear well.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Isn't that the argument with Bronnie, Like he wasn't well,
But again.
Speaker 6 (08:29):
We need to him do it, like over an entire season,
not just one.
Speaker 4 (08:32):
But he has given an opportunity that if he if
he was just you know, Bronnie Johnson coming out of college,
he wouldn't even got a second look by anybody there.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Eventually he was eventually, but not now.
Speaker 3 (08:47):
He has been playing well in the G League and
our argument at the start of the season was too
bad it wasn't for a different G league where he's
not in his dad's shadows.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
Like Bronnie James should be playing in then CAA tournament.
Speaker 1 (09:00):
Yeah, like he didn't go through a full cycle. Riches point, then,
there's so many other examples in life where people just
have advantages because of who their parents are. This advantage
was always going to be there.
Speaker 2 (09:11):
I just think a lot of us feel like it
was extremely rushed, especially with the year that he had
a USC which was not even a complete year, so
this just was rushed. It was always gonna happen because.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
He was running past Jannis last night. But that's why
he was looking good, really trying. It was never a
question to that game. That's why I said someone's sitting
on the hater aide today. It's not a hater, it's
being realistic.
Speaker 4 (09:39):
She's just stated Lebron did it for Lebron. He didn't
do it for Bron wanted to. He wanted to have
that historical moment of father playing with his son.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
That's why it was rushed. What's wrong with that.
Speaker 4 (09:49):
There's nothing wrong with that, but but to you know,
deny that it, Like Bonci said, it was rushed, and
it was inappropriate time, and it was just soon and
that you know, it was a huge moment of nepotism.
Speaker 3 (10:01):
But he can't control what family he was born into.
So you guys are making a good point. It's up
to him right now. No, I know, but look at
our business for an example. Howard Stern's dad was in radio. Yeah,
all right, he helped Howard get into radio.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
It's a small, local level, right, Howard had to be
the man though, Yeah, exactly. Voice, Remember you went from
like to hold on. Take a time out for a second.
Think about this. In every industry, there's a big story
going on right now. In the broadcasting world, and it's
it's interesting because a guy that we admire and I've
always said nice things about mad Dog Russo, mad Dog
(10:38):
Russo has his own channel in serious sexm mad Dog Radio,
Mike and the Mad Dog God. After that, everybody, if
you grew up on the East Coast, I mean, there
was no one bigger. In fact, Mike and the Mad
Dog paved the way for Colin and Dan and steven
A and all these people thirty for thirty about him. Now,
mad Dog Russo, who's made millions and millions and millions
(11:00):
and millions, one of the best in the sports radio game,
was quick to criticize Lebron and Bronni like so many people. Meanwhile,
in the news yesterday he got the old whoa, whoa,
whoa hold on Mad Dog because mad Dog Russo's kid
is a broadcaster in South Florida, and Mad Dog went
on a rant about how none of the New York
(11:22):
Mets at spring training would give my son a chance
to like He acknowledged, I sound like Lebron here, but
you couldn't give me anybody on the Mets. Not one
Met gave his son a time for an interview and
he lost it. He flipped out, So how do you
feel about that? My thoughts on that were just because
(11:43):
it's mad dog Russo doesn't mean his son should get
an interview. But yeah, not one met could have stepped up.
That was my thought, like not one met, nobody wanted
to interview him. There's again layers different industries. Like you said,
I was saying, made the distinction of it a small business.
You're just passing it down. I would say in the
medical field is where I feel like metopism should never be.
(12:06):
You know, just because your dad ran that office, it
doesn't mean that you should be checking my scroll them.
You know. I would say that you still to go
through medical schools, but it doesn't mean it's to be
a great doctor. It doesn't. I don't want to just
because your dad ran that practice. I don't buy into that. Hey, Steve,
(12:27):
drop your draws. Yeah, turn it, turn your head and cough.
A weird part is guys put it in perspective. Honestly,
it's an honor to make it this far right. You're
an elite status and level. It's still a game. People
need to relax. I can I basketball and you're either
going to step up or you're not, and if he doesn't,
he's not gonna last long.
Speaker 6 (12:48):
Can I just say that my parents always told me
growing up, use your connections and use use what the
people you know help help you know, have them help
you out.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
It's it's a it's a privilege, but you should help yourself.
That Can I say that? When Aunt Becky, Laurie Laughlin
and some of those Hollywood elites got in trouble for
trying to get their kids into colleges, I believe rightfully
so they got punished. But I can't tell you I
don't understand because if you're but they paid no. But
(13:19):
I'm saying that, But I'm saying, as a parent, you
realize you would do anything for your kid. Danny g
you would do anything for co. Yeah, so you could
understand it. I mean, oh, I helped him start his
new podcast. Yeah. There is legacy in academia. There is
like where if you've gone to like a prestigious university
and you're the child of that person, you do get
(13:40):
a you do get a look because of that, no doubt.
I mean how many times, how many donors are like, oh,
you know your kid's in f up, but uh, you know,
dad and grandpa both went to Yale, So all of
a sudden, this guy who stinks by the way, you know,
since we're talking sports too, and other examples that don't
fly with you. You don't think just because of the name
(14:01):
on the back of the jersey. There's extra players in
baseball and football that can get the legac but they
get the extra look and acknowledgment because of who they are.
Freaking Mike Piazza got in just because of his connection
with his dad in Lesorta, you know, and you got
to step up. That's just really what it comes down to.
It doesn't matter if it gives you an advantage. If
(14:21):
you don't deliver, this is a game of winning, you're out.
Rich is only here because of his uncle Bosa the clown.
Did you know those other clown entertainment Chili Davis. People
don't realize spots, Uh, spots, real dad, mister Belvedere.
Speaker 3 (14:40):
We've all had had some Yeah, I was gonna say, Cove.
You know, we've all had people help us in our lives,
maybe in our careers, and we've all, like what Sam
was saying, not just his parents, A lot of our
parents told us College number one thing, make really good connections, uh,
you know, choose the right people to hang out with
and do well your professors and all that, and people
(15:01):
lean on that throughout their life.
Speaker 1 (15:03):
Dale Berra Jogi's kid, Pete Rose's kid, uh, Tony Gwinn's kid.
All decent players, but probably wouldn't have gotten that look
if it wasn't for that famous name behind that jersey
or that that nod, that acknowledgment, and it didn't last
for them. But again it proves what we're saying. May
have got him there, but they didn't stay there.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
I just think bringing it back to Bronnie the whole
thing with him, that we've had this conversation at nauseum
from the start of the yeahameless, he didn't have the
stats coming into the league. That's but I'm just saying
that's that's the whole thing here. That was the argument here.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
It's about skill set at that point, and I think
we could agree on one thing. He wasn't ready to
come into the NBA, but maybe at some point, but
it was rushed a little bit because of lebron Yes, oh,
I was going to say he was coming off. I
was going to say injury.
Speaker 3 (15:57):
Now, you can't call that an injury, but an incident
where it almost ended his life.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Right, But if he was ready, he would have been
playing before last night. He played last night because the
Lakers rested everyone and their mom.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Yeah, and you know what, he got an opportunity and
he looked good. If he keeps doing it here and there,
then gag him. I could have put up at least
ten points last night. Yeah, but you're ready, Hold on
about that, Hey, Rich and Cavino, go nic illness. You
guys ready to step up and do a killer show?
Matci you are because you're doing it all the time. Spot.
(16:33):
You know, all of a sudden you'd be slaying it
on the air. He stepped up and he played a
big game. You got to give him credit where it's
too If you're gonna be so quick to dump on
the guy, it sounds a little negative to me. I
just don't I just don't even think it's a story.
Oh no, no, I'm not mad. I think it's too soon
to pull it in. I think it's too suon to
pull a complete one to eighty on your outlook on him?
(16:54):
Maybe like a maybe like a forty five. You can
be like a forty five or like an idea how
you play against the bucks.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
But our show, but our show wasn't negative about him,
Like the.
Speaker 6 (17:05):
Spot said he could score ten points. I think he
could just drink ten pints. In the standup.
Speaker 1 (17:11):
Had a couple of threes. I think the point is,
you know three, like, oh, your problem is like how
life works, and we're seeing it in the NBA. But
in reality, it's just the game, guys, and the game
is a great equalizer. If you don't belong there, the
game will let you know. It's a good point. You
see that with music? Is he with acting? You see
(17:32):
with all arenas where quote nepotism could happen. Yep, you
gotta you gotta keep your you gotta hold your own
or else, like Cavino said, there have been players that
gotta look, maybe they got him into the big show,
but then they go away quick, they go away quickly.
Coming up a little later, we're gonna debut a brand
new game. And I was thinking about this a lot
(17:54):
last week when you were on vacation. Yeah, you were
on the beach with your younger girlfriend Jordan. Yeah, guess
who else was on the beach with their younger girlfriend Jordan?
Who Bill Belichick Bingo, So we're gonna play a game
called is it Steve Cavino or Bill Belichick?
Speaker 2 (18:14):
I love that.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
Away prizes. Hey, do you want to play the game.
It's multiple choice, your chance to win a swiggy next hour.
What do you love about Monci? It's gonna be real
tough to figure out if it was your Bill Belichick. Rar,
we're the same guy. You're dressed like Belichick today. I
know what's going on this guy? So Rich, you got
(18:39):
to talk about your dancing story. This is great. Now
let's more dancing on TikTok again. We were out of
town last week getting uh, getting already, you know, really
really much like the baseball season, we get ready for
the new ratings period. So we take off right before
baseball starts, right around March mad this time. So we
were away. You were on the beach. I was on
(19:00):
the beach, and we missed this story along the way.
And it has to do with TikTok and Instagram and
college players. West Virginia head coach Rich Rodriguez has decided
that he's banning his players from dancing on TikTok. That
(19:21):
you may have seen this floating around felt like the
last week. But we have never talked about this, and
I thought about it more and it's ridiculous. Why we
talked about Ron Washington banning phones in the clubhouse yesterday.
It's thinking outside of the box. If they have a
bad season, will it ever come back to well if
if they let them dance on TikTok, it would have
(19:43):
been different. It's it's an experiment. No. I you know what,
I disagree because I feel like there's something you said
about being loose. You know what I always tell my
kids when I'm coaching, because I'm I'm the number one
coach on Fox Sports Radio about kids. But I always
tell them, I'm like, all right, come on, get lose,
bend those knees, co lose loose and then I say
get loose. Let me see a smile, smot get loose?
(20:04):
Do you pay play footloose for them? Like a nerd?
So let me read this real quick, and then do
you put on your Sunday shoes? Then we'll discuss hold
on your dancing shoes. West Virginia football coach Rich Rodriguez
told reporters that he was prohibiting his players from dancing
on TikTok because he didn't like the perception it gave
about his program. They're gonna be on it. I know
(20:26):
they're gonna be on it, so I'm not banning it.
I'm just banning them from dancing on it. It's like, look,
we try to have a hard edge or whatever, and
you're in there with your tights dancing on TikTok. It
ain't quite the image of our program. I want. I
think that's fair, man, I do. I think that's fair.
Just too.
Speaker 6 (20:44):
He's this is this actually came out six hours ago
from front off of Sports. This is not a written policy.
It is just something that he's like, I don't want
to catch you guys.
Speaker 1 (20:53):
I know looks soft. I discussed this with my wife
rich My wife said, how could she? My wife was said,
how could this coach think he could monitor the TikTok
pages of fifty three plus dudes. You can't? How by
just laying down the lawns like you want to play
for me, you want to be on my good side,
don't act like an ask clown in a world of
(21:15):
in a world of niet so against rules, in a
world of nil, when kids are trying to make money
and find ways to become popular. Now you're telling kids
don't be creative and do things on TikTok. You need
to dance. You need to play football, dude, you need
to dance. You gonna tell Livy Done to stick to
the highbeat, then join go on the grind, go on
dance fever, go through something else. We're here for football,
(21:38):
not to see your choreography. Give me a break, dude,
put something cool up about how great you are football.
If you're trying to set an image, it's like, you
know a lot of times I have this problem with you.
I'm trying to create an image of a show. We're
a cool young show, and you're doing goofy things on
social media that have nothing to do with the image. Yeah,
it's like, what a goofball post? He posted? Who are
(21:59):
we the goofball? Are we the cool young show? I'm
trying this badass football team. Why are you dancing around
on social media? I agree I sound like an old man,
but I agree he's not saying you have to do it.
But again, it's it's it's for the greater good of
winning and creating a camaraderie and an image for a team.
Can I say this respectfully. I was Sam. The fact
(22:22):
that you disagree with me makes me know I'm right,
because you are a stick in the mud. You're in
anything goes type of guy. Anything, and I'm stupid. You
lose a little structure. You need a little structure anything.
If it wasn't for me bringing you back all the time,
this show would be off the rails and it would
be a mess. This guy's trying to keep some sort
(22:42):
of structure and semblance of a we're here to win.
This is serious. Not everything's fun in games all the time.
I guess what is It's a game. Yeah, But dude,
this is football. This football. Your life's on the line.
You're worried about your dance moves, get hurt football? Like
they say, you don't play boxing, dude, football. You could
(23:05):
play football, but it's tough, and you're here worrying about
your your uh, your your two step.
Speaker 6 (23:11):
This is more of a what asisting called againsass flossing
people still flas.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
Can you listen to Sam? Sam? You're way Why is
this a life or death situation? I'm confused. This is
why is dancing such a priority when you should be
worried about touchdowns? Sam? You are proving every point you're
got in your thirties, and you're like, what, it's not
dance the floss like you are. You are a seventy
five year old man trapped in a thirty five year
old man's body. I'm fine with that. What the hell
is wrong with you? Listen?
Speaker 6 (23:36):
It is flossing, right, I got that right? And then
this is the pee Herman, and then this is flossing
the old Charleston.
Speaker 1 (23:42):
Am I right? Yeah? I was Sam and Caroline. I
was saying during the commercial, I want everyone to go
to at Covine on Rich because we're on Instagram, Unlike
I was Sam, who is an old guy. I'm gonna
post a video, I was saying flossing. No, no, yes, yes, yes,
I'm done with that. You just want it.
Speaker 6 (24:01):
You just want something as popular as when I was
doing the court Jester or Yoyo routine.
Speaker 1 (24:06):
You really feel the need to dance on TikTok. My
point is pray in a world of nil and expression
and college kids not other ways to express yourself? Right?
Speaker 2 (24:14):
Can't you do it when you're not at practice or
at the facility.
Speaker 1 (24:17):
Do it at home? No?
Speaker 6 (24:18):
I don't think he wants to see any of his
players dancing.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
Yeah, he has an off season. Yeah I'm in season.
Speaker 6 (24:24):
Don't do it at home, don't do it in the facility.
It's like it's like gambling on your team. Just don't
do it.
Speaker 1 (24:28):
And I'm sure there's plenty of ways where you could
express yourself and put your personality out there. And he's
obviously bringing us up because it's probably an issue people
are doing it in the locker room when they should
be focusing on something else. Oh no, I feel like when, when,
First of all, when did what are we living in
the world of footloose? Like you said, no dancing in
(24:49):
this town, but with Kevin Bacon, Like what is going
on here? But I'm just saying it's it's wild to
me that, Hey, did you ever have the need to
dance when you were playing baseball growing up? No? But
you know who does this younger generation who all think
they're the jabbawakes, Well they're not, and they're on a
football team. And if you're in eighteen, you know in
the DNS when you score a touchdown when you're an eighteen,
(25:09):
nineteen twenty year old kid, y'all. Look at the NFL,
every interception, every touchdown, every first down, everything's a celebration.
So my point is you're dealing with eighteen, nineteen twenty
year old kids. I would want them loose, but I'd
also want them focused. And I don't think dancing and
having fun with their teammates is a disruption. In fact,
I think anything those type of things create camaraderie. You're
making it seem like they don't. Maybe this guy's trying
(25:32):
to create a culture, right, like you're trying to be
the badass team West Virginia. Look, West Virginia, man, we're
not playing games. We're here to kick some masks. This
is football, dude. This isn't baby games, right, It's football.
So he's trying to create an image like like that,
like the Raiders have an image. You Raiders are badass.
Oh and you get these guys doing pirouettes on TikTok?
How does that go with the image he's trying to create.
(25:55):
Didn't know.
Speaker 6 (25:55):
It's a little ecture curricular noise he's trying to get.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
I'm just saying NFL players used to do ballet lin
Swan did yes? Is that not a hot yoga and
all that? That's moment? Did that in the ring. Look,
I'm not saying there's not benefits to dance. I'm just saying,
if he's trying to create an image and he's trying
to just create some sort of structure, he's the coach.
(26:20):
Let the coach. Coach, that's why you hired him. I'm
just saying, it seems like we just got done talking
a month ago about how, Wow, thank god the Yankees
finally got rid of this stupid facial hair policy, and
now we're talking about a coach telling kids that are eighteen,
nineteen years old not to do I don't know, Kendrick
Lamar Strutt on Instagram and TikTok. If your priority is dancing,
joined the dance team, that's what I would say.
Speaker 2 (26:42):
I don't see how this isn't about focus be a cheerleader.
It's about focus, and that's what the coach wants wants him.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
To be focused. That's on the place you're making it.
You know what I would say anytime someone misstepped ran
a wrong route, I'm like, weren't you the guy doing
choreography for Flop? Were you a Flossen? Yeah? Maybe maybe
if you spent less time floss and you would have
got that route with the soldier boy, I feel like
(27:09):
because Rich Rich is I say disrespectfully, but Rich is
close through everything with like you know, so willy nilly.
I think no form of structure, anything goes attitude because
he brings the fun. But dude, this is football.
Speaker 6 (27:23):
This is what's great about you too, though, Like Rich
is kind of leaning into it and you're like pulling
him back. But you find this consensus kind of in
the middle, which is the great thing about this show.
Speaker 1 (27:31):
And that's what the coach is doing. Sam, He's the coach.
Let him coach Rich Rodriguez say, no, no one dancing.
Are these players so committed to dancing? Pressing me? Then
go and dance, But we're here for football, Like, what's
going on? Come on doing Manzi? What do you got buddy? Hey?
(27:55):
Why would he not go by Ricardo Rodriguez? What a
fail of all? Why don't you go by Ricardo? Maybe
I should Ricardo Davis give me a little edge. Now
he's banned his players from doing TikTok moves because it
doesn't go with the image he wants for his football team. Again,
a hard edge. Isn't that what you want for your team?
(28:18):
But but it's a team of like it's a game
of of battle. We're keeping it so not real to
the dance battle. We're keeping it so not real. In
this conversation, it's no, you're not You're not all right,
the biggest, badest NFL players. All they're doing is dancing.
All these scoring by the way, justin Jefferson, they're elite
(28:41):
professional athletes, Steve earn those rights. They're the best of
the best of the best. And and are these guys
the best of the best trying to create something? I
thought thought you had more because there's a plug, clearly,
and was it needed? Clearly to Cavino, you need to
earn dance moves. No, these guys are professes. They're men.
These are not grown men. These are young men that
(29:03):
need coaching, need guidance, need to know that dancing is
not the priority. If they want to get to the NFL,
maybe they should focus more on football. It's pretty simple. Yeah,
I just I don't dancing is your passion and join
a class. Let me use a let me use a
big boy term. None of these things are mutually exclusive.
It's not like because I dance, I stink at football
(29:24):
and because I don't dance. My game is stronger. I
get what you're saying. Discipline is the thing. I again,
number one coach on Fox Sports Radio. When I'm out
there with the t ball kids, some of them don't listen.
They put their hat on backwards, and I say, hey, kids,
get over here, taking knee, put your hat on the
right way and listen to coach. I get it. People
need discipline. They're not pros and he wants to have
a hard end, but culturally to create a loose fun
(29:48):
we want to play together, camaraderie atmosphere. We always talk
about how important the clubhouse is, how important the locker
room is. Those team dinners are the veterans, you know,
bust the chops of the rookies a little bit. That
team building is so important. So when you're like hry Man,
I'm the old coach, there will be no tik talk dancing.
Say that to a bunch of college kids and I
feel like you lose the room. Then I guess you
(30:09):
don't want to play football that bad. That's how I
see it. If you're worried about your dance moves, you're
not worried about football. You said that about Yankees and beards.
If you want to be on the pinstripes and rock
the pin strips and who kids are facial hair? Why'd
they change it? Because they realized it was lame. But
dancing is so needed necessary when it comes to football.
I think I know why this is. This is why
(30:30):
you have this feeling. I want to know why you're
the defender of dance all of the time, because I
think I know why Steve Cavino not a great dancer?
Are you twinkletoes? You You're the dancing machine? Here Cavino
at a wedding. The congo line starts, he goes to
the bathroom. Yeah, because I'm not Buster pointing Dexter rest
in peace. You're the guy. You're the guy that has
(30:52):
never gotten in the middle of a dance circle in
your life. Guys a corny when they dance. You're no
Ted Lasso. This guy is trying to create an image.
Rich is trying to dance battle at the wedding. What
do you think Ted last night was such a great coach.
He's dancing with his teammates having fun. Yeah, but dude,
you see how corny. You see he's sounding a cornball,
no offense, He's sound like corny Collins. Football is not
about who's the corn the greatest dancer. Let's play it.
(31:14):
Let's play see what see how corny he's the corniest
guy going. This is football. You're trying to create an
hard edge. Yea Rich the greatest dancer. Let's figure made
for the halftime show. Now, if you're so concerned about dancing,
why don't you dance with a j Lo at halftime?
You know what? At kylviing on Rich during the break,
I was sam flossing on our social media. I'm laying
(31:40):
on the beach. Might be under the influence. That's that's
I don't remember looking at the waves crash sipping on
a drink, and I said to my wife, exhausted from
a dance competition, I'm imagining exhausted from getting a long
time break competition. He entered. I did a push up
contest with a bunch of college bros. No, and I
(32:03):
turned to my wife and I get, oh my god, Babe,
Covino and Bill Belichick are the same guy. It's like,
what do you mean, have you've been drinking too much?
I watched from Texas and I said, no, no, think
about it. They're both grumpy. They both don't want to
do things when people tell them. They both date significantly
(32:24):
younger women, both named Jordan, and your girlfriend Jordan sort
of looks like his girlfriend Jordan. Can I just say though,
there's like a forty almost fifty year eight difference between them,
not quite the same, But I get it all right, fine,
So we'll play, Oh yours is like half of that? Sorry?
Is it? Steve Cavino or Bill Belichick? And if you
(32:45):
want in eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox, your
chance to win a Swiggy multiple choice is pretty simple,
and it's a stainless steel water bottle coveted nice fry
called Sapphire Midnight Black CNR on FSR. Swiggy, you know,
because your kid loses every other one you have at school,
so you need a new one.
Speaker 3 (33:05):
I want to men really quick, good timing for you
to win the swiggy too, because the shipment for those
that have won in the past sixty days goes out
on Monday, so they'll get it win today, you get
it quick when the shipman goes out next week.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
You know you want to play Covino or Belichick? Call
now while we get a contestant ready. One NFL thought
and something you just said about the lust and found.
I went to the kids assembly this morning at the
elementary school. You ain't kidding. It's a barrel of water
bottles and hoodies, Like, do these kids have any responsibility?
And then they go to college you want to dance
instead of play football. My goodness, it's insane. They lose
(33:40):
their water bottles and hoodies every day at school. We're
losing our minds. Bringing the madness here on the Cavino
and Rich Show. And let me just promote two things. Yeah,
over Promises our bonus show. We had a fun one
yesterday talking about brackets. We got your hype for baseball
talking baseball cards. So and food. There's lots of gross
(34:01):
foods this year. It's a thing they're trying to add
to each other every year with new food items at
the ballpark. So we talked about that on over Promise.
That's on Fox Sports Radio's YouTube page, episode eighty four.
You could listen, you could watch, you could enjoy it.
We appreciate it. And no one really promotes websites anymore,
but hey, if you're in the business of that, Covino
(34:21):
and Rich dot com are infos there Covino and Rich
do can say websites one of the really just a
landing page. But you know what, I was just looking
at it because I haven't been there in a long time,
and it's like, oh, yeah, we have all sorts of
things available there, no merchandise if you want some dumb
t shirts if you want anything, all sorts of stuff.
I hate that shirt that you guys made, which one.
It looks like a Wheaties box but instead of weeks
(34:43):
at it says weekies and it's a picture of me.
Pay for it. I want to. I don't even know
Free Covino a rich dot com, but it looks cool.
But like, how rude that they would make a WEEKI
shirt with my face on without even your week. It's
week that you bragg about softball all the time. That's
what's week. So can I point out one thing though? Please?
Speaker 6 (34:59):
Do you know what did your parents call you when
they were mad at you when you're a kid? Like
your full name right Stephen Steven men Anthony and Bill
Belichick has a son named Stephen. There's another similarity right there,
Stephen Belichick and the family.
Speaker 1 (35:14):
Commonalities are endless. They are and you know what, I'm
gonna tell you how I got there. And Danny G's
already lining up contestants. So I'm on spring break, and
again I realized Covino, Belichick, both grumpy, both younger girlfriends
named Jordan. And then I started laughing with my wife
and I was like, all r, I guess who it is,
which is Belichick or Covino? And I was giving her
examples based on what I was seeing on social media,
(35:35):
because I saw Covinos Mexico pictures while simultaneously I was
looking at belichick vacation photos. So I said, all right, honey,
who was a Covino or Belichick that was just riding ATVs?
But let his girl ride, you know, drive while they
were shotgun And she's like, I don't know Belichick. I'm
like wrong, Covino. I started making my own little game.
(35:56):
I'm like, all right, honey, I let Jordan drive because
I'm a gentleman. That's why she was driving to a
TV adventure passenger Princess. Yes, I had a couple more.
I said, all right, babe, who's on the beach doing
gymnastics and yoga moves? And she's like Jordan and Cavino.
I go no, Belichick and his girlfriend. Yeah, that was odd,
(36:18):
and I gave her one more. I said, all right,
who just took a picture outside of a lighthouse wearing
music T shirts? And she's said, oh, Covina loves me Cavino,
I go, No, Bellichick and his girlfriend. He was wearing
a Tailor Swift T shirt. But that's what makes it tricky.
It could be either one of us. Is it Covino
or Belichick? Your chance to win? Eight seven seven ninety
(36:39):
nine on five R Danny g do we have contestants ready?
I see all the phones are lit, so I'm just
getting the I'm getting the thumbs up from Danny Gina second.
Either that or he's doubling his phone sex operator. Danny,
we get to go.
Speaker 3 (36:51):
You know what, Monsi has to do a tournament update
for other stations, so we're gonna wait for her to
finish that. Then we're gonna fire the game off.
Speaker 6 (36:58):
Can please tell of you guys can killo minutes on
this show?
Speaker 1 (37:01):
I think you kidding well. Rich could talk about his
brand new flip flops for two minutes if you want
to talk about it. In fact, I need brandow flip flops.
Speaker 6 (37:08):
It's what you would say that, no, you were giving
away answers. There were you when you were talking about
these different you're cuising your wife.
Speaker 1 (37:13):
So there's so many commons just a game we can
play more than once. Rich, Do you get the Mick
Fanning flops with the bottle opener on the bottom. Yeah,
if you were trash bag, what do you mean? Those
are the best one.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
We could definitely play this game more than once. And
I want to thank Veto, Ricky and Bob for helping
me set up the imaging.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
You're going to hear perfect here a couple of minutes,
He's veto Ricky and Bobby. Sounds like a tire shop.
It's like the Fox Sports radio Manny Mow and Jack.
It sounds like the Pep Boys. So they make a
good HOGI before we get to the game, I do
have an NFL quickie question. That'll that you said kill
two minutes, I could kill twenty hours. I could, I could,
(37:50):
Rich could kill your buzz he's that annoying. We didn't
ask for twenty minutes. So I'm looking at news alerts
this morning, trying to figure out what we're talking about
on today's show, and I saw Aaron Rodgers as Monty
also pointed out, meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was
there for six hours. That's the stall six hours meeting
with the Steelers today. And the more I thought about it, listen,
(38:14):
some of the other options for Aaron Rodgers seemed like
dead ends, like the Giants, Like, he's not gonna take
a three win team, even though Elik Neighbors and him
could have had a pretty sweet connection. He's not gonna
take a three win team. And all of a sudden
they're magical and Aaron Rodgers one to possibly two years left.
It's a convenient move, but it's not a good yve.
But with the Steelers, what's our criticism of the Steelers
over the last couple of years. They're in football purgatory, right,
(38:35):
Like we always joke about how you know they're one
of the Steelers are permanently between seven and ten and
ten and seven, like when you're always five hundred there,
I mean, you could almost guarantee they'll be nine and
eight or ten and seven. And Tomlin finds a way
to win enough to keep his job, but never enough
to win more than one playoff game, maybe not even right,
(38:57):
what if Aaron Rodgers is that difference maker enough? What
a wild ending to his career if he went into Pittsburgh,
which has such a great football legacy, such a great
football fan base. And imagine if Aaron Rodgers after all
of us ridiculing him with the Jets, the Iowasca, it's
just not worth it. Look, he's still got juice, He's
still a legend. But why were guys like to o
(39:20):
out of the league sooner than they should have been?
What in the s just the noise around them? Right?
Who needs the circus? You think the Steelers need the
noise in the circus of an Aaron Rodgers. But I'm
saying that's really the thing. It's not really anything about
him and his abilities. It's where he where he is mentally,
and I'm not sure it's one hundred percent on football,
(39:43):
and it's the circus that surrounds him. Danny G. Could
we agree on the following? The Steelers top tier defense? Yes,
a solid receiving core now with the addition of DK
Metcalf for sure, a great coach.
Speaker 3 (40:00):
There's some some Steelers fans who wanted to show him
the door.
Speaker 1 (40:04):
But yeah, but this totally get along with Rogers. I
don't know, we don't know that overall he's been a
great coach in the league. Yet we're talking about a
team that's just itching to get over that hump, right
like again.
Speaker 3 (40:13):
Yeah, there are always two three games above five hundred
football purgatory.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
What if Aaron Rodgers is that little, that little, that
little seasoning on the meal where the tastes a little bland,
a little a dobe. I mean know, what is this
chicken need a little little lowryes? Wow, some lowry? What
if Aaron Rodgers is the lowries? What if he's that seasoning?
What if he's that rub on the steak? What what
(40:38):
if he's that to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Just something to
think about, a little bit tahing to my fruit salad,
that old Bay seasoning, little old Bay. Let's do. Let's go,
all right, are we ready for the game, Let's go.
Steve Covino and Bill Belichick has some things in common.
Bill Belichick's the man. They both have younger girlfriends named Jordan.
(40:58):
He the man if that was my daughter. Both have
a powerful presence in the sports world. Look harder. So
you can do that when you're seventy two, You tell us,
is it? Steve Camino or build sell a check. I'm
not mad at him at all. I want to know
what it is.
Speaker 3 (41:18):
I saw and heard this game on your guys' Patreon,
and I said, I'm gonna put that on the radio show.
Let's go so from Rich Rich's Late night Edible Mind
onto Wax from me here. Let's meet our contestant on
the studio line looking to win a seeing our Swiggy,
and then I'll quickly explain the game. Chris and Mobile Alabama?
Speaker 1 (41:37):
What up? What's up? Hi? What's up guy? What's up?
I finally listen to the all filling in for Dan Patrick.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
Love your show, guys.
Speaker 1 (41:47):
Thanks man, Hey, can you do me a favorite? Can
you say large tries.
Speaker 4 (41:50):
Large froz?
Speaker 1 (41:51):
Okay? Can you say large fries, pile large coffee? I
love your accent, brother, Thank.
Speaker 5 (41:58):
Chris.
Speaker 1 (41:59):
What do you do for a living there in Alabama?
Speaker 2 (42:01):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Drive for an industrial supply company.
Speaker 1 (42:04):
Drivers, Keep America run the man? Thank you drivers.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
All right, here's how Covino or Belichick works. I've done
extensive research on Coach and Covino and their young girlfriends.
Speaker 1 (42:13):
Each member of the crew.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
Is going to read a fun fact and then Chris,
you got to tell us, is it Steve Covino or
Bill Belichick? You have five chances to get too correct
for that swiety. All right, Rich is going to read
the first fun fact.
Speaker 1 (42:28):
Okay, here we go. Is it Coveno or Belichick, Belichick
or Carino? Here we go. Question one. His Jordan did
modeling and was a Hooters pageant girl while in college.
This guy's Jordan has done modeling and was a Hooters
pageant girl in college. Belichick or Covino?
Speaker 2 (42:51):
Caleno over here smiling because of that one.
Speaker 1 (43:00):
He's glad people know about Jordan. Is you know how
Hooters you know, filed for bankruptcy recently? In the articles,
all those articles were all over social media, and old
photos of her like were there. I'm like, look at
you she was. The basic photo was stock photo. And
now that Hooters is filing bankruptcy, has so many puffy
(43:21):
white socks. Yeah, he doesn't know what to do if
anybody needs to buy old puffy white sox. Guys, I
got you, And that's why he's wearing little orange shorts today.
Blue Bam, just like that.
Speaker 3 (43:30):
Chris and Alabama already on the board. Monci is going
to read the second fun fact.
Speaker 1 (43:35):
All right, So Covina or Belichick.
Speaker 2 (43:38):
He first met John bon Jovi while working in New York.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Okay, Covino. No, I've worked in New York for a
long time. We're out here in La now and I'm
from New Jersey. But I never met the legend John
bon Joe know you decades, and I would have guessed Cavina,
I never met. This game is tricky. I love slippery
(44:05):
when wet growing up. But yeah, no, never met him.
Jersey's Belichick Jersey bon Jovi three for a loop.
Speaker 3 (44:11):
Yeah, all right, so one in one. So if our
spot has the third fund back.
Speaker 4 (44:14):
Go Belichick or Covino. As we know U Belichick huge
enough football, so we'll see. He wore the number eighty
five jersey in high school? Is this Coveno or Belichick?
Speaker 1 (44:29):
I gotta go Belichick? The original Ojo Siko bro Yo.
We were three time state champions Union, New Jersey. We
had such a nice run in high school. I was
number eighty five Union High. They gave the water boy
number eighty five, number eighty five, dude, your og Ojo Sinko.
Speaker 6 (44:53):
Let's let's remember one thing I don't I think growing
up he played lacrosse and not football.
Speaker 1 (44:58):
He studied film from his dad. Was a change too,
So look at me, cross player. I was ahead of
the game. I played football.
Speaker 3 (45:04):
He did it all right, So one and two in
the game, Iowa, Sam has the fourth fun fact here.
Speaker 1 (45:11):
Oh joy, all right, here we go. All right?
Speaker 6 (45:15):
He made guacamole with Rob Gronkowski, Covino or Belichick.
Speaker 1 (45:23):
All right, I got and you are. Let me explain.
So we did our show for years at serious XM
and every single to Mayo we would do the guak
off our annual guacamole competition. In one year, Rob Gronkowski
was on our show. We made Gronk together, called it
(45:45):
Gronka Mole. I wrote that down groncom Mo had Gronomle.
His girlfriend was there, Camille Kostak, and we partied together.
So yeah, I was actually right. You got that man,
You got.
Speaker 3 (45:56):
That na In the nicked time, there was only one
on fact left. So congratulations Chris in Mobile, Alabama. We
are gonna mail you a shiny new sea in our swiggy.
Speaker 1 (46:06):
Have a great weekend, buddy, what was the last one? Congrats?
By do we.
Speaker 3 (46:09):
Appreciate there's enough meat on the bone to play this
a few times.
Speaker 1 (46:16):
I mean we are the same guy, same exact guy.
Was the Guakoff? Like, is that like a baseball and
dips thing walk off home run? So no, so like
every every year, every year on say, good Mayo, we
should bring it back here at Fox Sports. Ready and
did it one you know, you know, you know yesterday
had that depressing conversation about COVID and it was the
five year anniversary of Tiger King. COVID sort of killed
(46:39):
the Guakoff because no one wanted to be dipping chips
with each other. Just wanted a taste testing competition of guacamole.
A nice little fiesta every Sinkle to Maya. What we
would do we would have different celebrity friends, athlete friends
and food networks and network people all make guacamole's blind
taste tests. We'd go around the room and people would
dip the you know, dip in and Gronks was good.
(47:01):
Gronk and Camille Caustic made a guacamole with our pal
Babchick from Mad Dogs. Right, Yeah, we had a great time.
And yeah you thought it was Belichick, but it was
actually me. So yeah, we're the same guy who knows
except his Jordan is actually younger than mine. That's the worst.
And he's older. So we'll play more Covino or Belichick,
(47:28):
Steve Cavino or Bill Belichick, same guy. And remember on Tuesday,
we're gonna play the other game that's sweeping the nation.
Quote me and later day on the show more weekend hobnobbing.
I don't really care about that. I want to say
this in the kindest way possible, Mance. I need your
answer to In fact, I want you to lead off, Mancy.
You're leading off your show, hail Tony, got it? Yeah,
(47:51):
I can't believe I'm asking this on Fox Sports Radio. Okay,
oh boy? How sexually active do you think Bill Belichick
and his girlfriend do? Honestly? Do you think it's more
of like a partnership or do you think it's like
he like it is? I do you think it's Do
you think it's a bedroom focused?
Speaker 2 (48:05):
You're focused, but I think there is bedroom happenings.
Speaker 1 (48:11):
They do together? How many?
Speaker 6 (48:13):
What's the point of dating someone that young if you're
not going to be attracted to the young.
Speaker 1 (48:18):
I know, but I just wanted to like some time
some Maybe he just makes her feel makes him feel young.
Speaker 4 (48:22):
But it was three years now, three like three and
a half years now at the no they met on
a plane.
Speaker 1 (48:26):
Remember they had the joke she he signed the book
or something. Yeah, but I just wanted to like if
he had seventy something? Well, hold on back in the day,
you know, Covino and Rich we started with MAXIM Radio
and Maximum was also sports. That's how we got involved.
We would interview like playmates once in a while, and
they would tell us that Hugh Hefner, well into his eighties,
(48:47):
was way sexually active, I believe. So why would you
think that Bill Belichick, who's in good shape and significantly younger,
and you have blue shoes and everything else everywhere, why
would you think he's not And he has a ht
young girlfriend. I mean that is true. I mean I'm
just curious, like, is it are they like a now
you were in your twenties? Is he how he was
(49:08):
in his twenties? Like are they like going to the
beach and going back to around they were when they
were in their twenties? But maybe there's a balance there.
What did Steve And I say, again, I don't know
what he's on, but I wanted or something like that.
So Hey, congrats and Bill Belichick, you got to give
him props. Okay, thank you, thank you, thank you Bill.
(49:31):
Today's Friday. Oh yeah, Today's Friday. Today's Friday Friday. By
the way, McNeice, I feel like everyone googled yesterday where
is mcneicse and we found out where I was Sam.
Speaker 6 (49:45):
Lake Charles, which someone called in and was like, I said,
Lake Charles was right across the street from New Orleans
and they're like three hours apart.
Speaker 1 (49:52):
So I went across the street, right across the street.
But how cool when they came out a big street
with a vibe man yo with the team manager.
Speaker 3 (49:58):
You see that video trending where a little team manager
comes out with that big speaker, the players all vibing.
Speaker 1 (50:03):
We talked about it earlier, playing loose and having fun.
That was my point, Cavino, they're having fun. McNeice. With
the big Upstate a twelve, a twelve seed beating a
five and a DraftKings had that at a seven and
a half point underdog. Is it's so fun to wager
on the underdogs. Another twelve beat a five. Today Colorado
State beat Memphis. Now after we're off the air today
(50:25):
there's a fourteen and three seed matchup. That just because
I think it would be hilarious if Troy Troy beat Kentucky.
Kentucky's at eleven and a half point favorite. So maybe
a little Troy Action DraftKings Sportsbook. What do you think
sounds good to me? Yeah? If it's your money, yeah,
you you putting the money up. Let's go. We'll go
(50:46):
up in Troy's bucket. Yeah. Now time for this week's
Pro the Week. Now, Rich nominated Cooper Flag. But he's
not a pro. That's true. I mean I was like, oh,
that's right, he's a college kid. Hees. And I thought
about shoheyo tani, and I said no. So the Pro
the Week is Brownie Jeans with all the pressure around him,
(51:09):
with all the content he provides us throughout the week,
and when he had to step Buddy stepped up by
seventeen points last night, three rebounds. Again, he was hitting
the floaters, hitting the threes, with all the pressure in
the world on him, he stepped up. Bronnie James, Props
(51:31):
to him, Man, if you're gonna get on them all season,
you gotta give them props when they're due. Congrets to
Bronnie James being our express pros probe week You know what,
That's something Cavino points out a lot, and I totally
agree with that. If you're gonna be quick to bust
someone's chops when they do something good, you have to
then equally give them props. I'm all about you know,
being you know, being fun with something. But if they
(51:51):
deliver it, you got to give him their love. All Right,
it's Friday. It's time for weekend, hob nob. Let's go
live in for the weekend, winning bets for talking points.
If you get stuck socializing, you ever done anything dangerous?
You ever dance with the devil in the pale line?
Friday brings us weekend, hob Nabby, I asked out of
(52:12):
all my pray. All right, first, I'm gonna watch to
see how bad snow White does in the box office.
That's the first thing I'm gonna watch. I don't think
he's gonna do very well now that comes out this weekend.
I mean, Lord for Farquaud of the Seven Doors, but
I'm gonna watch. I'm gonna finish I should say Burt
Kreischer's stand up special. He's a cool dude. Friend of
the show, Burt Kreischer Lucky on Netflix. I started it,
(52:34):
didn't finish it. I heard it's really heartfelt at the end.
UFC Fight Night two fifty four, Leon Edwards versus Sewing
Bradley Sean Brady welterweight fight. You got Blackowitz and Albert,
you got Gunner Nelson versus Kevin Holland. And in the
world of boxing, remember that big tall fighter we saw
(52:56):
Danny g whoop on Tim Zoo. Oh yeah, Fandora's fight
and again he's fighting Booker this weekend for the WBO
Junior lightweight title. So some UFC, some boxing, some good comedy.
That's what I got. That's it all right, Hey and
over promised on Fox Sports Radios YouTube page, episode eighty four,
getting you Ready for Baseball and talking brackets. All right,
(53:19):
I got a show that's on Netflix. I definitely want
to check out. It's not getting the best reviews, but
then again, I only read like one review and who
cares about critics. The Residents on Netflix. It has the
woman from Orange is New black Huso Aduba, the crazy eyes,
the black Check crazy eyes. Yes, she plays like a detective.
(53:42):
There's a murder in the White House. So it's like
a funny comedy murder mystery only murders in the White House. Essentially,
it's a Shonda Ryan show. John Carlo Esposito, who we
love from Breaking Bad and a bunch of stuff. He's
in it, Ken Marino from Eastbounding Down Sound, The Boring Alarm.
Ken Marino's in it and a really big cast. So
(54:02):
I think it.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
Seems like a comedic murder on the Orient Express kind
of few it does, so I feel like it's worth
checking out.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
That seems like something the kids go to sleep, you
watch with the wife or your girlfriend. I'm all about that, Danny.
If you're not already on board with Brenda, I know
we love dumb reality dating shows. Have you started Temptation
Island that you involved? Or what? Have not started it yet? Wait?
Is there a new season of Temptation Island? The one
that's like a week ago? Or some of you well
(54:30):
you've seen the other seasons, right? No? You guys FONSI
can I tell you the minute thing of an island?
Your instinct is like they're all going to cheating media.
Speaker 2 (54:37):
No, I've seen this since the beginning, since season one.
Speaker 1 (54:40):
Y'all aren't late. I have a game you can play
with Sean your your man. Hello, here's what you do.
We're not going to Temptation Island. So could you think
when they line up like the twelve Tempters would when
they show them? Yeah, would you be able to point
out which you'd not want him to be around? Yes? Yes,
I know I know what he likes.
Speaker 2 (55:00):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (55:00):
Do you think he would know what you would like?
I think so. It's a fun game. It's a dangerous
game to play with your significant other, but it's a
fun game. So I think that's where I want to say.
If your relationships a little rocky right now, not the
best game to play. Sure, Hey, which one of these
people would just sleep with? Don't do that? Don't do that?
And Kivino's right lucky with Burke Kreischer and uh this
(55:20):
there's another good comments and Andrew if you want to
check it out, Danny g Any, NBA or anything on your.
Speaker 3 (55:26):
N Yeah, Sunday a couple of good games, Nuggets and Rockets,
Thunder and Moncey's Clippers.
Speaker 1 (55:32):
Go at it Sunday night. Thanks, Why is here? Bru
It's just him? Get used to it. Get you made
fun of them earlier?
Speaker 2 (55:39):
Nobody likes you.
Speaker 1 (55:39):
You used to be. That's true. You're right, hey, have
a great weekend. Enjoy until next week. Baby, we'll see
you in the over Promised Land. Check it out, have
a great weekend, goodbye later guys. Today's Friday,
