She nailed it, folks, No notes, no notes whatsoever.

Speaker 7 (01:18):
Yeah said it enough, man have said it enough.

Speaker 3 (01:21):
We were talking phone numbers on Covino and Rich a
week or two ago. Mancy off the top of her dome,
Welcome in, Monzy. Just you know what Monzy just did.
She did what Nico Harrison would love for her to do.
No notes, no note, no notes whatsoever. For some reason,
the Dallas Mavericks are running their postseason press conferences like

(01:44):
a TGI Fridays. I'm not writing down your order at all,
and whatever comes out comes out. Whatever you say it is,
whatever you say it is. Manzurella sticks. I love TGI Fridays.
By the way, Please don't go away.

Speaker 4 (01:57):
Don't go away.

Speaker 6 (01:58):
They took one away already near me, near my parents.
So sad, so sad, because the Monzel sticks were great everything.

Speaker 4 (02:06):
I don't care if you don't take my order. Surprise,
who knows, who knows? What's coming? Who knows?

Speaker 3 (02:12):
And whiskey glaze, which used to be the Jack Daniels.
It's still the same thing.

Speaker 4 (02:18):
When I ate that stuff that was so good.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
You could still dip vegetables in it if you wanted.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Sure, not the same, no good it was.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
You can just get deep fried broccoli or something and
then dividend good to go. The point being is when
you go to a restaurant and they don't write down
your order, you are playing with fire. You are one
hundred percent playing with fire because you don't know what
they're going to get right and what they're going to
get wrong. The Dallas Mavericks are playing with fire because
for some reason, when they call a postseason press conference,

(02:50):
they only pick select members of the media to show
up in front of Nico Harrison and CEO Rich Waltz.
And they also they also say no cameras, no tape recorders,
no recording. What you can write down is what you get.
And I want to bring in Isaac Lohenkron because you
do have some of the details. Am I understanding that

(03:11):
the message of this the whiskey glazed chicken breasts if
you will from TGI Fridays is the defense wins Championship
phrase from Nico Harrison.

Speaker 5 (03:22):
Absolutely that was repeated multiple times during the course of
whatever this was. According to the transcript, and Yes, Front
Office Sports had the details of how it all went down.

Speaker 8 (03:36):
They said.

Speaker 5 (03:37):
Initially the team did not want to allow any audio
or video recordings, but after reporters objected, the MAVs allowed
them to record audio of the meeting, as long as
they didn't publish it. And they also asked reporters and
they only invited fifteen. They also asked them not to
post details about the news conference in real time on
social media.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
Go ahead, Manzi, because I want to bring up something
that Isaac said.

Speaker 6 (04:01):
After you're done, it would have just been easier for
you to just put out your own.

Speaker 3 (04:04):
Statement in this and not waste everyone's time.

Speaker 6 (04:08):
Yes, absolutely, it seems like absolutely pointless. You invited a
small select few people and then you said you couldn't
use any of the footage. So you might just written
your own statement out.

Speaker 7 (04:20):
And published it.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
It would have had the same effect. Nobody wants to
hear you.

Speaker 3 (04:24):
I once said that Le'Veon Bell led the NFL in
bad decisions, and I think Nico Harrison is a league
leader in the NBA. He is the Michael Jordan of
bad decisions of the twenty twenty four twenty twenty five
NBA season. He's the goat Nico Harrison is the goat
of bad decisions and bad pr They had the one

(04:46):
press conference where Jason Kidd sat awkwardly next to him.
And I'm not saying that kid is innocent in all
of this, because I do think he played a role.
Hecket sure seems like Luca thinks he played a role,
considering what Luca was yelling on the court. But the
funny thing about the point that Isaac made of the
fifteen reporters, if you are included, is that a knock

(05:06):
on your reporting in essence? Like they think that you're
going to play ball with them, or do you take
that as they feel that I'm a fair and balanced reporter,
or do they look at it like, oh, he's one
of us, Yes, exactly, Like I almost think it would
be a badge of honor to be not included, because
guess what I'm doing the real work. I'm doing the

(05:26):
real work of the people that you betrayed, Niko Harrison.
I don't want to be in your stupid makeshift have
fun meeting. I don't want to be a part of
that at all.

Speaker 6 (05:35):
Absolutely, it is calling you soft, because if you were selected,
that means they think or they have some sort of
trust in you that you're going to take their side,
that you're going to follow their rules.

Speaker 3 (05:45):
Like you just said that you understand, Yeah, you see,
you know where we're going side.

Speaker 6 (05:52):
You may not write something mean about us. You may
write something soft, meaning you're soft. I wonder if anyone
turned down the invite.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
I don't know. I didn't know. I did see a
few reporters say I was not invited.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
Where does a badge of honor.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Which I've done to friend's weddings. It's always such a
trump card when you're in a group of friends and
you're the one or two that didn't go and weren't
invited to the wedding, it is such a well I
wasn't invited to the wedding. It's such a stick of
the knife because the rankings are right there. But in
this case it's not as much rankings. It's just of
do you play ball or do you not play ball?

(06:32):
And the funny thing is is they still have a
season going by the way, they still have a playing
game to play, and possibly too if they end up
eating the Kings tomorrow night. But what doesn't change is
this Manzi and I think that Luca got his reception
that he deserved in going back, and in fact, I
think it's going to be more of the same every

(06:53):
time the Lakers go back to Dallas. May not be
like the first time, but they're going to be loud
cheers for Luca. People are going to being for Luca
because there are Mavericks fans who will never be Mavericks
fans again after this. You still have a season to play,
still have a game to play. The one defense that
I had in that game against the Lakers were the
team that Nico did want on the court involved Kyrie

(07:14):
Irving and for Luca tos moment great, but it wasn't
apples to oranges or apples to apples. Whose apples to
oranges because there was no Kyrie Irving. The problem is
now as you move forward, is we don't know what
Kyrie Irving we're going to get coming off of an
ACL injury. He has advanced in his career, so it's
not like a twenty four year old getting it and
maybe coming back even better than ever as maybe ACL injuries,

(07:38):
as severe as they are, they aren't the end of
a career, the death knell that you would have in
previous years, So I absolved Nico of any of that
of them losing that game, But the point of his
defense wins championships continues to miss the point about the
trade and the trade number one, As Dallas Mavericks general manager,

(08:04):
you think the goal is to win a championship. You
think that that's what your goal is as a GM.
And I think that there's more responsibility on the first
part of the Dallas Mavericks meaning the name Dallas, than
it is Mavericks, and that's who he abandoned, that's who
he let down. And yeah, you have this team and
you're trying to win championships, but ultimately you are a

(08:28):
steward of that community, of that fan base, and if
you had any sense whatsoever, you would have realized what
Luca meant to that organization. I know the trade's over
and it's two months old. I still don't think that
the points that we argued two three months ago are
any different than they are right now. So him saying
defense wins championships, it's not about championships and it's about Dallas.

(08:51):
It's not about the Mavericks. And that's the point that
I think he keeps on missing when he's talking about
this deal.

Speaker 6 (08:58):
Here's the thing, Dan, There's nothing thing he can say
to make anything better. I agree with you, he is
missing the point. But I think like even if he
got it, even if he said that, he can't change
people's minds. Like if he came out and said, man,
you guys are right, I didn't realize the effect this
was going to have on Dallas, it would just cause

(09:19):
a second uproar. There's nothing he can say, nothing he
can do, and it is I'm gonna say unfair, because
you're right. The team that he thought he was gonna
have is not the team he has. And we will
never know what a healthy Kyrie an ad and a
healthy Dallas Mavericks team would have done in this season,
because they could have done well. They absolutely could have

(09:42):
done well. But what he did two months ago, it's
just it. No, it doesn't matter what comes out of
his mouth. There's nothing he can say to make anyone
feel even an ounce better about this trade.

Speaker 3 (09:54):
You don't think that if he came out and said
publicly in speaking and said, listen, I did what I
thought was best for the organization and still believe the
move that I made was for the best interest of
this organization, But I understand your pain in dealing with this,

(10:16):
and at the time maybe I didn't understand, but I
still feel like, I think there's got to be some
recognition to a fan base who just lost their hero
and their hero is now in a better situation than
he was prior. I mean Nico saying and Isaac, I
want to bring you in because I don't know if
it's internet folly or if it's fake or truth. But

(10:39):
did he say in that meeting that there wasn't a
guarantee if Luca would have signed the Supermax extension.

Speaker 5 (10:48):
I remember him saying that. But you know what's really interesting,
if they had allowed that audio to be out, I could.

Speaker 3 (10:58):
Just plan it for you right now. Yes, yes, I.

Speaker 8 (11:01):
Will search you the transcript and get back to you.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
And the reason because I thought I saw it on
social media. I thought yes, And so that's the point
of And everybody says, like, Okay, come on, it's still
like he's fighting this battle against Luca. You're probably right,
there's nothing that he can say. I think that's that's
absolutely it. But it's also of of when you're I've
said this timing before, when you're in a marriage, you

(11:28):
learn how to apologize very quickly, and an apology isn't
I'm sorry you felt that way. There's got to be
some responsibility towards it, So for him to take some
responsibility on the hearts that he broke, I think he's
only fair. It may it may not be the end
all be all, and they're gonna be Mavericks fans that
he lost for life because of it. But my goodness,

(11:50):
just to even take a step towards that way, and
doing it in a private press conference and not speaking
that way, and not speaking in a way that was public,
and only taking three questions after the trade was done
the first time around, it's just an awful way to
treat your fans if you've made that awful move.

Speaker 4 (12:06):
Listen.

Speaker 6 (12:07):
I don't disagree with you that he should say that.
I just don't think it does anything if you admit
that you let go of something that was so big
to the Dallas community. If you admit that, then they're
gonna dig their heels even more of how terrible of
a GM he is. You didn't realize that, you did
not know that Luka Doncus loved Dallas the way that

(12:29):
we saw it from the beginning.

Speaker 4 (12:31):
For the last six years.

Speaker 6 (12:32):
There's stories about how I read he went to Dick
Sporting Goods, like while he was in Dallas and did
a was there working with like the with Dallas community,
like when and did when he went to Dallas for
the back for the first time when the Lakers played,
he went to Dick Sporting Goods and did a whole
thing there for the community. I also read that some
kid in Dallas's dad started to gofund me to get

(12:53):
him money to get the kids sporting supplies for whatever
sport he's in.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
Luca donated because he was from Dallas.

Speaker 6 (13:00):
He is still so invested in Dallas till this moment.
And so I feel like whatever Nico says, it does
not matter, even though I agree with you. Even though
it doesn't matter, you should still say it. You should
still acknowledge it. You should tell the fans how you
messed up.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
Isaac Longkron has got some more information.

Speaker 5 (13:20):
Yeah, to answer what you said earlier. Dan, more specifically,
veteran NBA reporter Tim McMahon was one of those covering this.
He got one of the precious invitations. So this is
a transcript. According to Tim McMahon, Tim McMahon says to Nico,
Luku was gonna sign this super max? Why didn't you
sign him? And then if you really wanted to trade him?

(13:41):
And then Nico jumps in, well, there's no guarantee he
would sign a supermax. McMahon responded, he is guaranteed it.
He was bawling on the bench. Nico Harrison responded, well,
like I said, we can agree to disagree.

Speaker 4 (13:56):
He's he really like, come on, man, come on.

Speaker 3 (14:01):
This is this is there's no gift, there is no
there's nothing towards and it would go a long way.
And it's starting to become the point of I don't
know how he's ever going to survive in that certain role,
and because everybody feels burned by it. But it's almost
like now he's digging in his heels just to be
just to be that guy, and I feel that there

(14:23):
is some healing that can be done. Look for, as
great as Luca was that night in Dallas and at
times has been with the Lakers, there's also been some
problems that popped up in Dallas that have popped up
in games against LA and we're going to see in
the playoffs as well. On the defensive side of things
and how things play out, and maybe the Lakers will
get a root awakening.

Speaker 9 (14:42):
We don't know.

Speaker 3 (14:42):
They got the Timberwolves in the first round. Should be
a magnificent series with that showdown. But yeah, just to
just to give a little something, just a little bit.
I mean it, it seems like it's a contentious divorce,
like of just all of a sudden, you were served
papers and you've never talked to again. That's how Niko
is handling it. And I mean he's not even the

(15:08):
spoiled one in all of this. You know, it's crazy.

Speaker 6 (15:11):
He's digging his heels and I feel like that's the
only option he has. I don't think he made this
decision by himself. I don't think so. I think he's
just the face of it right sure, And unfortunately it
sucks for him that you are being associated as a
person who made this sole decision, and I do think
others were involved. But acknowledgment is what I think you're

(15:33):
asking for, and I agree with you. Yesterday at work,
they're not listening. One of my co workers made a
mistake at work yesterday and it really screwed us over
and when I no.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
They're not listening as well because they're working, not because
they don't want to listen to the show.

Speaker 4 (15:47):
Yeah, they're working. They are working.

Speaker 6 (15:49):
We have a game today, Like absolutely, I was there
and literally like somebody made a mistake, one person that
really screwed us over.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
And I went and approached the person and no acknowledgment.

Speaker 6 (15:59):
It's like, I don't need an apology, but don't just
brush it aside, like it wasn't a big deal because
you you screwed us over and again, I don't need
the apology, but acknowledgement that you messed up and that
for some reason you just today you had a brain
fart and this is you messed up, but no acknowledgment
about it. And I was so upset. I was so
upset because literally screwed us over and you should have

(16:22):
seen me. Should have seen me, guys, I had steam
coming out of my ears.

Speaker 3 (16:27):
You just want a little.

Speaker 6 (16:28):
Give back because who saw the day I did.

Speaker 3 (16:34):
She's the Luka Dantcic love this show. Jason Stewart's our
executive producer.

Speaker 9 (16:38):
Oh man, I had something to say, and then I
just heard what Monty said. I think all of us
could relate. All of us listening to working with that
person that just can't be accountable. Yep, a lot of
us work really close to that person.

Speaker 3 (16:51):
Oh boy.

Speaker 9 (16:51):
But anyways, I think I hadn't even thought about I'd
Jason Stewart, Yeah, go ahead, until I heard you guys
summarize this. This is kind of a new theory of mine.
I'm gonna bounce it off, y'all. Now, I don't know anything.
You know me, I don't get into the weeds of
I don't know Nico Harrison with it. But doesn't it
sound like a man who's been empowered by ownership a

(17:15):
little bit? My theory ownership says, we don't want to
we don't want to commit to him for reasons A,
B and C. However, whatever reasons you believe, didn't want
to get in shape, didn't like that, he drinks a
lot of beer or whatever, And you're going to get
rid of him, and you're going to take all the
bullets as part of your compensation. Now, you're going to

(17:37):
take all the bullets, all the bs from everybody. Now
he's talking like a guy who's empowered, who could say
whatever he wants and be guarded. Am I do you
what do you think about my read on that.

Speaker 3 (17:50):
I think that that's a fair read. The only issue
that I have with the read is the directive. I
don't think from upstairs said get us Anthony Davis. That's
the problem that I have with it is they could
say get rid of Luca. We don't think Luca is
our future. But in the deal that they did, terrible deal.

(18:12):
It's an awful deal.

Speaker 4 (18:13):
How did you not get awesome?

Speaker 3 (18:14):
So there's the heartbreak of just trading Luca on the surface,
and then it's what you got in return. And that's
where I think the defense wins Championships portion rings so
hollow is because I think it's it's more about Dallas
than it is about defense in that community. But if
you want to go the defensive route, why are you

(18:36):
giving us an aging superstar with injury problems and didn't
shop him around the league. Sure, there may have been
a rumor here and a rumor there, but LA wasn't
the only team that would have wanted Luka Doncic. Now,
maybe Minnesota was given an offer, maybe Milwaukee was given
an offer. If he was traded to the Bucks. As
a Bucks fan, I can safely say I don't think

(18:58):
he's signing an extension there. I just don't think that
he is. So it doesn't make sense for the Bucks
to do that. But if the Knicks called, if Boston called,
if the Heat called, if any of those teams, and
you just give him all the first round picks or
whatever player you need, then you did your due diligence
as a GM. So I think that you're right, Jason,
and that he's almost being the role of Commissioner Goodell

(19:20):
as the voice of thirty two owners across the NFL
that want Roger Goodell to say this. It's just the
problem of the way that he went about it and
how we set this team up, and is so steadfast
in his process without seeing the big picture of it all.
So there's two things at play here, and he's zero
for two with.

Speaker 9 (19:40):
This him saying that towards the end, I think Ilo
said that he plans to be here for the three
years of his contract. I mean, obviously he says that.
I don't know if ownership feels that way, if this
was all built into this whole thing of eventually you're
going to get the buy out and find somewhere else
to go. But like so you're saying and he's missed on.

(20:00):
He missed on both. He missed on the basketball decision,
and he has really missed on the messaging, including whoever's
decision it was to do this closed door thing, which
is going to be the topic for the next twenty
four hours.

Speaker 3 (20:15):
Yeah, and the messaging, I think is an extension of
how you deal with that community and how you treat
Dallas and how the fans have felt because there's been
no there has really been no acknowledgment on what Luca meant.
I said this, I read somebody else saying this on
social media today, so it's not an original thought. It
was my original thought. But we have the same thoughts

(20:35):
in Monte think we've even had this discussion as well.
I think Mavericks fans would rather have Luca than win
an NBA championship without him, And so that's the point
of having Luca on your side and being your player
is more important than winning a trophy, even if they
would win it this year, I think they would rather
trade that trophy for.

Speaker 4 (20:57):
A lifetime of Luca.

Speaker 3 (20:58):
Yes, exactly. Him be your guy is something special and
maybe having an opportunity year in and year out to
do it. Moving him robbed fans of that opportunity that
no championship can fill and two three months later, whatever
it's been because I forget what April fifteenth, that's right,

(21:19):
whatver as long as it's been, that still has not
been filled. And that's been the problem with the deal
the whole time.

Speaker 4 (21:26):
Absolutely.

Speaker 6 (21:26):
And here's the thing, It's like this, This isn't with
every player. This is an isolated situation because it's Luka
Dancic and the Maybe a Nicola Jokic would have a
similar effect of Steph Curry, right, maybe, but it's just
it's only few players that we would be feeling like

(21:47):
this abow and that's what it is.

Speaker 4 (21:49):
I agree with you.

Speaker 6 (21:50):
I think if you would have asked the Dallas Mavericks fans, hey,
you want to have Luca for the next ten twelve
years and maybe never maybe never win a.

Speaker 4 (21:57):
Championship or trade him? Maybe when did you chip?

Speaker 3 (22:02):
Listen? There comes a time. Damian Lillard in Portland is
the best example. He probably he stayed as long as
he possibly can he possibly could, and then a deal
finally had to be made and look at hasn't worked out.
On the other side, the Mavericks decided to.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
Not exhaust that option exactly, exactly.

Speaker 3 (22:17):
That's an issue.

Speaker 6 (22:18):
If we would have been talking about this, yes in
year ten eleven, maybe we're feeling different. But obviously this
was so hush hush because he knew this is this
is not gonna fly with a lot of people.

Speaker 4 (22:32):
It's not gonna fly with a lot of people.

Speaker 3 (22:34):
Still can't get it right in Dallas, can't.

Speaker 6 (22:35):
Get it right and with this meaning pathetic again, just
release your own statement.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Fox Sports Radio had the best sports talk lineup in
the nation yet catch all of our shows at Fox
Sports Radio dot com and within the iHeartRadio app.

Speaker 3 (22:50):
Surprise, they didn't kick us out after the first hour,
So that's good, very good. In fact, Daniel on Twitter says, Dan,
you're right, actually said at Dan Byer on Fox. It's
where you can find me on x you can find
Manzi Bolanos at Monte Blanos.

Speaker 4 (23:07):
You're right about what.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Oh, we're not fired, he said.

Speaker 2 (23:11):
You're I'm sick and you're fired. Get out.

Speaker 3 (23:13):
If you're just watching that Braves Blue Jays game. It's
organic and jovial. The booth dudes were daring him on
to ask her for a number, basically classic peer pressure.

Speaker 4 (23:23):
I do think that's what happened.

Speaker 7 (23:25):
I don't think this guy was planning.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
To do that.

Speaker 6 (23:27):
And then all of a sudden he was like, Oh
can I do this?

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Is this my moment?

Speaker 3 (23:34):
He then asked their drink order and didn't write it
down and just went and got their drinks. Encompassing our
first hour here on Fox Sports Radio doing the Nico Harrison.
Remember what I say, remember what I say, don't record
what I say. Remember what I say.

Speaker 6 (23:50):
Remember what I say, but not what I do, even
though we're never gonna forget it. We are broadcasting live

The way tied Bud should be.

Speaker 3 (24:06):
Isaac long Crownwell give us our sports updates, and if
there's any breaking news, he will fill us in on
the latest. Chris Perfetts on the Ones and Twoses. Our
technical producer, Jason Stewart's the show's executive producer, but he's
not just an executive producer today, bonci oh No, he
is the host of our NBA Playoffs Newlywed game.

Speaker 9 (24:33):
That's right, Dan, welcome in. This is the Newlywed Game,
the NBA Playoffs edition, and your contestants in the left
corner from Wisconsin. He loves his boy bands and Buckeyes.
It's Dan Bayer, Thank you very much. Don't worry about

(24:55):
the crowd clapping cres. We got this. And in the
other corner film in.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
Front of a live studio audience.

Speaker 9 (25:02):
She loves her volleyball on Tuesday nights, it's true, and
her tequila that every night.

Speaker 4 (25:09):
Yes, Hello, Hello, happy to be here.

Speaker 3 (25:13):
Shower's optional.

Speaker 9 (25:19):
This is also the game that former employee John Ramos
was asked if he wanted to participate, and his answer rose,
I'll have to ask Suzanne.

Speaker 4 (25:29):
Oh good stuff.

Speaker 3 (25:31):
I do have to give some background on this. We
started this a couple of years ago when Moncey and
I get together, and we've had variations of sometimes it's
me and I with Sam, sometimes it's it's me and
you doing this. Ryan Hans was a part of the
first one, first ever episode when we did it with
John Ramos, he did need clearance from Suzanne. Jason is

(25:55):
not lying to make sure that Suzanne did not think
that he and Moncy were at actually not only a
couple but also newlyweds.

Speaker 4 (26:02):
Exactly, Yes, Jos.

Speaker 3 (26:04):
That's we We just use the game because it works
in this format. Absolutely, yes, all right, so.

Speaker 9 (26:13):
This is how this works. By the way, this is
my favorite game on this network. This is how this works.
We're going to ask Dan Bayer a question previewing the
NBA playoffs. Moncy has already pre recorded these answers. That
is not answering what that is incorrect. That's what I meant.
It's the exact that's the exact opposite. So I'm going

(26:37):
to ask Mancy that is correct. Damn Bier has record answer.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
They're already there. I already know what they are. Here
we go. This is previewing the NBA playoffs, right, by
the way.

Speaker 7 (26:49):
And Dan is supposed to try and guess what I.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
Am going to say, yes, yes, not what my answer
would be, Well.

Speaker 7 (26:54):
What yes, he's answering thinking for me, And that's how.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
You know if these newlyweds are compatible?

Speaker 4 (26:59):
Right right?

Speaker 9 (27:01):
Manzi. First question is multiple choice? Okay, how far will
the Golden State Warriors advance in the NBA Playoffs? Will
they lose in the play in tournament, will they lose
in the first route, lose in the Semis finals, NBA Finals,
or they will win the title.

Speaker 6 (27:19):
I don't know if it's my belief in Jimmy Butler
as I'm wearing a Jimmy Bucket's Miami Heat shirt, and
my belief.

Speaker 4 (27:25):
In Steph Curry as the greatest shooter of all time.

Speaker 6 (27:28):
But I think the Warriors will lose in the conference finals.

Speaker 9 (27:33):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Interesting, what did Dan say? I think Monty's going to
pick a happy medium. You don't want to take the
Warriors too far, but they're not going to get bounced.
So I'm going to say Warriors lose in the conference semifinals. O.

Speaker 4 (27:50):
You're yeah, You're on it. You were right on it.
I believe in those I do believe in them.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Same neighborhoods, it's not same street.

Speaker 9 (27:58):
Yeah, all right, a swing in the miss Yeah overhounds
to me, like Lisa's got nothing to worry about.

Speaker 3 (28:07):
I think if they win tonight, they can beat the
Rockets too. And then you're like, Okay, maybe they face.

Speaker 4 (28:13):
The Lakers, and I think they can do think they
could beat the.

Speaker 3 (28:15):
Lakers, And I just thought there was somewhere in between there.

Speaker 7 (28:18):
Yeah, I think they could beat the Lakers totally.

Speaker 9 (28:21):
Hey, Manzi, Yes, the best first round series in the
East is going to be and these are your options
Cleveland verse seven, eight, nine, ten, Indiana verse Milwaukee, the
Knicks versus Detroit or Boston verse seven or eight.

Speaker 4 (28:41):
I think there's two options here.

Speaker 6 (28:43):
Even though I'm not very excited about the East, I'm
not gonna lie, but in this first round, the best
series is going to be the Knicks and the Pistons.

Speaker 9 (28:57):
It looks like Chris already weighed in on his answer.
What did Dan Bayer say?

Speaker 3 (29:03):
No doubt, it's going to be a complete bandwagon. Everybody
is going to be wrapped up in the big markets.
Mancy is going to fall victim to it as well.
She's going to pick Nick's Pistons.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
Alright, it nicely done.

Speaker 3 (29:19):
Yes, I think the Bucks could surprise some people. We'll see. Yes,
tell me, by the way, it's one. That's one one correct?

Speaker 9 (29:31):
Yes, what higher seeded team one through four should be
on upset alert in the first round of the playoffs.

Speaker 6 (29:41):
In the first round of the playoffs. Okay, let me,
I gotta visually see this for a second. Oh, thank
you, you printed it out even better, all right, I think,
and this is.

Speaker 3 (29:54):
Any high like one through four seed, So I.

Speaker 6 (29:59):
Do think the upset is the Houston Rockets should probably
be the one that that is should be on upset
alert Rockets.

Speaker 3 (30:11):
My final answer, yes, what did Dan say? Not only
will she say the Denver Nuggets is the four seed
because they're playing her Clippers, She's gonna say duh Denver Nuggets.
I was I thought I was so sure on that
that she would look on that and it would be biased. Mansey.

Speaker 6 (30:29):
Listen, you're not wrong because the Clippers are Clippers and five,
but I think that your heart.

Speaker 3 (30:34):
This is a bigger upset.

Speaker 4 (30:38):
Two seed is a bigger upset.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Four was on the understand.

Speaker 4 (30:42):
Who is higher than four? Who is the bigger upset?

Speaker 9 (30:46):
Dan's right, there literally is a heart surrounding the newlywed game.
Literally in the.

Speaker 3 (30:52):
It's not a brain, it's not an outline of a brain, Monsey.

Speaker 9 (30:57):
So you guys are back underwater one and two? All right?

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Sorry, we're good, we're chilling.

Speaker 9 (31:01):
Hey Manzi, Yes, yes, who will be the best player
in the Lakers t Wolve series?

Speaker 3 (31:08):
All right?

Speaker 6 (31:09):
So if history repeats itself, Anthony Edwards tends to lock
up Luka Doncic. And that's why I'm gonna take Anthony
Edwards to be the best player in that Lakers Timberwolve series.

Speaker 9 (31:22):
And what did Dan say?

Speaker 3 (31:24):
The best player in the Lakers Timberwolve series is really
only down to three? Lebron's too obvious. Anthony Edwards would
be a stretch. Luca is the popular vote? Luka Doncic,
what are you talking about? Anthony Edwards was gassed in
the Western Finals last year. He got stuck a knife
in his heart twice. No, no, in that series.

Speaker 4 (31:46):
That series. Let's talk this year. Let's talk this year.

Speaker 3 (31:48):
This is the playoffs.

Speaker 9 (31:49):
No, wow, So we've got three losses.

Speaker 3 (31:54):
Actually, this should be called the divorce game because that's
where we're headed right now, filing the paperwork.

Speaker 4 (32:01):
As we see.

Speaker 9 (32:02):
Next question on the annulment game.

Speaker 3 (32:05):
What did you say listening to Vince McMahon yell at it? Okay,
all right, how that big Mike serve you paper?

Speaker 9 (32:15):
Hey manzi? How many first round series will go seven games?

Speaker 3 (32:21):
I'll tell you right now, there's eight total.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
Yeah, I'm going to.

Speaker 6 (32:28):
Say in the first round there will be three series
that go to seven games.

Speaker 9 (32:33):
And what did Dan say?

Speaker 3 (32:35):
This is a good question because we don't know all
of the first round series, but I know she's going
to pick a number not too high. We're going to
say two series number two, same neighborhood, not same street.

Speaker 9 (32:48):
Big swing and a miss.

Speaker 3 (32:49):
Gosh, I don't think it was a big swing in
a mess.

Speaker 9 (32:57):
I've got one right for wrong.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
Thank you. You need to get the next.

Speaker 4 (33:01):
We got it.

Speaker 9 (33:02):
We got it just to get to five hundred.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Sam and I did way better. I feel on college
football like we were. We were We were like Sonny
and Cher like we were like we were on Yeah,
we were together. We were in the whole deal.

Speaker 9 (33:16):
It was by far the most romantic game we've ever done.
All Right, Question number six, who will get the most
technicals in the NBA playoffs? Moncy?

Speaker 6 (33:29):
Oh, this one is tough because I want to say
Dylan Brooks, but I think the Rockets won't get past
the first round. And so if we get logical here
as to who was going to play more games?

Speaker 4 (33:49):
Anthony Edwards. Anthony Edwards, Well.

Speaker 3 (33:52):
That kind of goes flies in the face of your logic. Yeap, no,
because I think you just picked five questions ago. You
picked Golden State to make it to the Conference Finals.

Speaker 4 (34:02):
But I think that game is going to go to seven.
I don't think the Rockets.

Speaker 9 (34:05):
Goes to I'm sure Bob you Banks would have not
allowed this kind of talking out of an answer before
the answer was revealed. What ad dan byer.

Speaker 3 (34:13):
Side, No doubt about it, Draymond Green, even if they
don't make it as far most technical to.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Draymond's not going to do that this year. He's not
gonna have it.

Speaker 3 (34:22):
That definitely won't.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
What does he have this year?

Speaker 3 (34:25):
Thirteen tied for seventh best in the NBA, and how
many does nineteen? But if Nanthy Edwards is only playing
six games because they're losing six to the Lakers in
the first round, and Draymond's got a playing game and
according to you, three more playoff series, he'd probably have
more technical fouls.

Speaker 4 (34:43):
I bet you Draymond doesn't even get one.

Speaker 3 (34:45):
I appreciate your thought process on it. I just don't
think you think you're thinking this all through. That's that's all.

Speaker 7 (34:51):
That's what happens when you do this on the spot.

Speaker 9 (34:53):
So just like the Charlotte Hornets, you guys have no
chance of getting to five hundred, thank you without Cooper Flack.
Number seven MANSI, Yes, what time zone or zones will
the NBA Finals be played in?

Speaker 4 (35:11):
Uh, they will be played in What are mountain? Was
the one not between a but between us some not Eastern.

Speaker 1 (35:18):
Mountain time Mountain time? Or is you got Eastern, Central,
Mountain and Pacific.

Speaker 4 (35:24):
It's gonna be mountains?

Speaker 3 (35:24):
Well, there's there's what's that It's gonna.

Speaker 6 (35:28):
Be mountain because it's Eastern Central Central?

Speaker 4 (35:31):
Is that mountain?

Speaker 1 (35:32):
No, there's Eastern, Central, Mountain Pacific.

Speaker 9 (35:35):
Now, now let's think about this. Hold on before you answer.
So there's gonna be two teams participating. So the option
to give two right, So if you're thinking Mountain for one,
that only includes the west, right, So you have to
give an East if you do Mountain.

Speaker 7 (35:49):
You know, but I feel like Pacific would be too
late for the East.

Speaker 3 (35:54):
Well, if.

Speaker 1 (35:57):
All of the teams from the Easter are either on
the Eastern or Central timere that was my point.

Speaker 4 (36:02):
Right, But I'm saying they're not.

Speaker 6 (36:04):
We're they're not going to wait to play, like even
the Pacific teams are not going to play that late.

Speaker 3 (36:09):
Because we're not talking about the actual tip off of
the game. We're just talking about where the teams are located.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Oh I miss question.

Speaker 1 (36:16):
Is representing like where their city is?

Speaker 6 (36:18):
That'sh you, guys, I misunderstood the question. I apologize. I
misunderstood the question. The NBA Finals will be played in
Pacific because the Clippers are going to the finals and
and the East.

Speaker 9 (36:36):
And what did Dan Byer say?

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Monci's going to say the Eastern time zone and the
Central time zone. I'll tell you what. I'm crying tears
as a newlywed of sadness over that explanation of a question.
I am crying tears of joy as a question writer
because that is exactly what I thought would happen in

(37:01):
the the confusion of the time zones, Like Mountain Nuggets
are the only team that play in Mountain that are
still in the postseasons? Right, we wouldn't keep that, right?

Speaker 6 (37:10):
But again, I thought it was like when are the
games gonna start winning?

Speaker 7 (37:13):
Most likely that's what I miss them.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
That's why, Wait, are there any West teams in the
Central time zone? Is Memphis, Central?

Speaker 3 (37:21):
Minnesota?

Speaker 1 (37:21):
Miss Central?

Speaker 3 (37:23):
Yeah? Houston?

Speaker 9 (37:24):
Yes, Houston, San Antonio, Yeah, I knew Houston. Yeah, So
you think that Oklahoma City and Cleveland? Is that what
you're going for?

Speaker 3 (37:32):
Dan we'll find out, oh.

Speaker 9 (37:36):
The next New would game. Hopefully those news will be
better at this than you guys are. Okay, number eight,
you guys are one and six.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
Yeah, we're really good. We're really good.

Speaker 9 (37:47):
I'll tell you what I'm gonna make this. I'm gonna
make this last one worth four points, all right, and
you'll still be under a five.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Still, get that right?

Speaker 4 (37:56):
That's right?

Speaker 9 (37:57):
Who wins the NBA title in June?

Speaker 7 (37:59):
Mom, you guys are gonna call me crazy.

Speaker 6 (38:02):
The Clippers are gonna beat the Celtics in the finals. Really,
that's the Clippers are gonna bet the Celtics in the finals.

Speaker 3 (38:08):
Just cop it, get some help.

Speaker 4 (38:11):
Yeah, I know, but it's it's happening. It's happening.

Speaker 9 (38:14):
What to dance.

Speaker 3 (38:17):
I think her head probably says to pick Boston, but
her heart's gonna say Oklahoma City. So she's gonna pick
the Thunder to win the NBA title in June.

Speaker 7 (38:24):
Yep, Clippers will bounce Thunder.

Speaker 6 (38:27):
They're gonna go to the Western Finals and then they're
gonna go to the finals.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
At least it makes sense with your time zone answer.
Oh yeah, that's at least. What I'm happy is you
picked East and Pacific.

Speaker 6 (38:39):
Absolutely, because I didn't think thunder We're gonna get there? Correct,
So that's where yeah, yeah, yeah, Clippers are going.

Speaker 4 (38:44):
Guys, I'm going to the finals.

Speaker 3 (38:46):
We are the Washington Wizards of newly red couples. When
it comes to an NBA Playoffs preview, why not of
every eight we're gonna We're gonna get right.

Speaker 9 (38:57):
You guys will have the most balls in the NBA
that way.

Speaker 3 (39:02):
Perfect.

Speaker 4 (39:02):
Thank you, Dallas Wings.

Speaker 3 (39:07):
If they don't move to Buffalo, remember that. If they
don't move to Buffalo, I'll say this. I think that
your Warriors guess was fair? Is it talked about?

Speaker 4 (39:19):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (39:19):
First round series, I think a lot of people are
looking forward to Nick's pistons. Yeah, totally good with that
upset alert, I think there could be a lot of I.

Speaker 6 (39:27):
Think so too. And I went with Houston just because
they were the two seed.

Speaker 4 (39:31):
Do you go what up?

Speaker 6 (39:31):
I gets the Clippers are going to upset the Nuggets
if you just went with the higher seed.

Speaker 3 (39:36):
I think Lakers Timberwolves is the best series in the
first round. It's the one that I'm most excited to
watch that doesn't include my Milwaukee Bucks and the most
technicals Again here right. Anthony Edwards led the NBA with
nineteen Dylan Brooks at eighteen, but your point about Dylan
Brooks not advancing far would make sense. Jason Tatum and
Isaiah Stewart, Shack's favorite Piston center, tied for third with fifteen.

Speaker 4 (39:59):
T Nicolls, Oh mag, I didn't think about him, But.

Speaker 3 (40:02):
With Draymond going, you know far, that's where I thought
that it could could play out.

Speaker 6 (40:07):
He can't do it or else they're not going to
be successful. If Draymond gets any technicals and gets suspended,
then you got to you gotta get rid of that
guy after the season, because then he just doesn't understand
how important he is to their success.

Speaker 9 (40:21):
I think for years people are going to be breaking
down Monsey's mentality during the time zone question. What was
she going for? What was she thinking? For years they're
going to be discussing that one.

Speaker 4 (40:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 6 (40:35):
Well, you know, as someone who's only lived on the
West Coast, I don't think of time zones.

Speaker 4 (40:39):
Like that literally.

Speaker 6 (40:40):
But I misunderstood the question, and then once I got it,
I thought it was going to be Boston and La.

Speaker 3 (40:46):
You have now got to experience this from both sides.
This is my first time recording answers. When we do
this game right, I've never Uh, it's a lot more
comfortable just trying to guess what someone's going to say
then trying to guess what someone thinks you're to say, yeah, yeah,
and in her spot. Even though we have the questions beforehand,
you're still in the moment trying to think at that

(41:07):
time of what you have, and you may have had
preconceived notions, but then you start thinking of a process.
It's a lot different. Me sitting back and hearing my
answers was great, but when you're in your seat, completely
different experience.

Speaker 6 (41:18):
It is a different experience, and you feel like you
got to answer quickly.

Speaker 4 (41:22):
You feel like there's a timer on you.

Speaker 6 (41:24):
Yes, like there's a timer on you, and you're like,
oh my gosh, I'm run out of time.

Speaker 7 (41:28):
What's worse to not give an answer if you're out
of time?

Speaker 3 (41:30):
Well, our washer and dryer will go to Isaac and
Chris Perfett. So we hope that you guys enjoy it,
and UH very much for uh welcome.

Speaker 8 (41:37):
I'll take the washer, you take the dryer.

Speaker 9 (41:39):
Chris.

Speaker 2 (41:40):

They're gonna be checking out some baseball tonight with our
executive producer Jason Stewart. So fine, we'll get to that
in a little bit.

Speaker 4 (42:10):
I wasn't invited, which is no, it's fine, it's fine. No,
we're good. I don't want to go anyway.

Speaker 3 (42:14):
Someone only has two tickets.

Speaker 4 (42:16):
Yeah, Oh you think I needed to get oh no,
to go to my place of work? You think I
just call to my place of work.

Speaker 3 (42:22):

right after we get off the air. There was drama

(42:43):
in Major League Baseball last night and it had nothing
to do with any play on the diamond. We're going
to get to that after Isaac Lohan Kron gives us
the latest of what's happening on this magical Tuesday. Hello Isaac, Hello.

Speaker 5 (42:54):
All about the general manager starting in the NFL, Miami
Dolphins GM Chris Greer saying today he is seeking to
trade star cornerback Jalen Ramsey.

Speaker 10 (43:04):
Jalen did not ask for a trade, so we went
through the process and just felt that after numerous conversations
and then talking last week with Jalen and his agent,
it was best to move forward and it was best
interested the Miami Dolphins and for Jalen Ramsey.

Speaker 8 (43:16):
As far as Tyreek Hill is concerned, that.

Speaker 10 (43:19):
Is not anything that we're pursuing. You know, like I said,
who know, if someone wants to come and give me
two first round picks, then we consider it. But as
of right now, that's not anything we're pursuing.

Speaker 5 (43:29):
And in the NBA, we will start with multiple outlets
supporting Milwaukee starre Damian Lillard's blood plot in his right
CAF got to cause him to miss the start of
the playoffs. Milwaukee hosts Indiana starting on Saturday, but also today,
Dallas Mavericks general manager at Nico Harrison said he has
no regrets about trading Luka Doncic to the Lakers in February.

(43:50):
He said, quote, we wanted a two way player to
lead our team, and that was Anthony Davis. We got
what we wanted dot dot dot. Eventually, I'll earn the
trust of this community back unquote. Now, Front Office Sports
reported the news conference was invite only. Team initially didn't
want to allow any audio or video recordings, but after

(44:11):
reporters objected, the MAVs allowed the reporters to record audio
of the meeting as long as they didn't publish it.
And you know, this news conference, in this whole Dallas
media strategy has scored big with fans on social media
at all underscore things, Underscore MAVs.

Speaker 9 (44:28):
Posting love it stuff.

Speaker 5 (44:30):
Couldn't even get twenty four hours of just enjoying Page
Becker's in Dallas before Nico Harrison did something stupid and
finally at Jazz six two six, Underscore commenting quote, I
hate Nico Harrison.

Speaker 8 (44:45):
My children will hate him.

Speaker 3 (44:47):
Geez.

Speaker 5 (44:48):
My grandchildren will hate him. My great grandchildren will hate him.
My entire bloodline will hate him. Unquote, Dan and Monci.

Speaker 3 (44:57):
I think Paige Becker's first request should be that team
should move to Buffalo. Yeah, what do you think?

Speaker 4 (45:01):
Why not.

Speaker 3 (45:04):
Much? Did you get it and you didn't?

Speaker 4 (45:08):
That's good? That was good.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
Boom roasted.

Speaker 4 (45:12):
There it is here you go, boom roasted.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
Thank you very much. Isaac loh and Kron hit him
up at Isaac Lohan Krohn speaking, did he say newlyweds?
Did you mention newlyweds at any point? Or did you
say I thought there was there was something of of
of maybe bliss. I thought there was some tie into
of a relationship or whatnot. Because it transitions to our

(45:36):
next door, it does, it does. We're last night. The
Braves are taking on the Blue Jays in a rematch
of the nineteen ninety two World Series, which I know
so many of us of my generation will remember. You
believe that the Toronto Blue Jays were in World Series, Manzi,
and they actually want the back to back World series. Yeah,
and one of them both. That's that's the crazy part.

(45:56):
Last night a rematch of the ninety two World Series.
Had nothing to do again, with any thing that happened
on the field. It was all about what happened during
the Braves regional broadcast on fan Duel Sports Network and sideline.
Reporter Wiley Ballard was up in a specific area of
what was formerly known as SkyDome and was chatting it

(46:18):
up with fans and play by play announcer Brandon Gordon.
This is how it all went down.

Speaker 11 (46:23):
We having a lot of fun up here off the
coroner rooftop. Who do we got you?

Speaker 9 (46:26):
What's your name?

Speaker 4 (46:27):
My name is Lauren Laurence.

Speaker 11 (46:29):
All right, and I'm Kayla Kayla, And you guys hang
out the rooftop lounge often.

Speaker 4 (46:34):
Once a year.

Speaker 3 (46:34):
I come out to visit.

Speaker 11 (46:36):
Okay, we timed it pretty well. How are you guys
feeling roof for the Braves today?

Speaker 4 (46:41):
I don't know. I'm hoping for the bus.

Speaker 9 (46:44):
What about you? Are you Braves fan? Now? Not?

Speaker 4 (46:46):
Quiet?

Speaker 9 (46:47):
Quiet? All right, I'm gonna go to work up here. Guys,
Come luck the rest.

Speaker 3 (46:50):
Of the way.

Speaker 11 (46:50):
Okay, Wiley. We got five innings, four innings to get
the numbers.

Speaker 9 (46:55):
Come on it, get us some more Brace fans all right,
So they want.

Speaker 3 (47:01):
Me to get your number.

Speaker 11 (47:04):
They want you to get that I'm dead serious, they're saying,
to my right, and I shouldn't believe me because she
thinks you guys are are not making this up. Even
if you guys weren't, I might use that in the future.
That's a pretty actually pretty good move. This is unbelievable.

Speaker 9 (47:17):
So the best part of this right now is that
while they could totally be faking, and this might be
the new move, you just walk around with a fan
duel microphone and an earpieceing and convinced fans that they're
actually on TV.

Speaker 11 (47:27):
I should have thought of this years ago. I am speechless.
I got the number. We're good.

Speaker 3 (47:36):
I thought it was amazing. I thought it was hilarious.
Other people have had different a difference of opinions MANSI yeah, unprofessional,
that's what I've heard. Yeah, imagine the genders being reversed. Yeah,
extremely unprofessional. This is not rele Those just a few

(48:02):
of the phrases used to talk about Wiley Ballard's asking
a woman her phone number while doing a report on
the Braves Regional Network. I am just not ready to
take it that seriously. I thought it was fun there
may be a double standard. I just did not think

(48:25):
that what that was was this egregious sort of moment
in sports broadcasting that we will remember forever. Maybe it
was a little out of touch, if somebody wants to
say that, But I thought it was fun. I thought
it was jest. I don't think that was the main
point of the whole bit. I think it turned into

(48:47):
that everybody was laughing. I thought the woman in the
piece played her part well in saying like, oh, maybe
they're saying it.

Speaker 4 (48:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (48:57):
I was not offended by this whatsoever.

Speaker 6 (48:59):
I was not bothered or offended. But yes, it is
a double standard. That's true. If a woman did that,
she would be crucified. She would absolutely be dragged through
the mud.

Speaker 4 (49:11):
I believe all of that. She may have been fired
on the spot.

Speaker 6 (49:14):
Honestly, I believe that there is a mega double standard.

Speaker 4 (49:18):
But I was not bothered by it. I did not
think it was vile.

Speaker 6 (49:22):
I did not think it was nasty or creepy like
other words I read. I had to see the video
because I was seeing these words as well. But I
saw nasty, creepy, vile.

Speaker 4 (49:32):
And then I looked at the video and I was like, Okay,
is it inappropriate.

Speaker 6 (49:37):
I guess you can say that you're working. Maybe you
should have stepped aside, taken your little ear piece out,
not had the cameras rolling, then come back and been
like Lauren, Sorry, I said Laurens the first time.

Speaker 3 (49:46):
I just got some herd.

Speaker 4 (49:47):
But Lauren, Hi, I think you're cute. Can I get
your number? Maybe that would have been the better approach,
But I agree.

Speaker 6 (49:53):
I think it all happened in the moment, and I
don't think this guy was planning to get the number
until he heard in his ear those numbers, which was
not what they were referring to. They were saying, get
the Braves Fans numbers up. But he got an idea
and he was like, oh, I should get.

Speaker 4 (50:07):
This girl's number. Oh my god. I think it just
all happened. He felt it.

Speaker 6 (50:11):
I don't think she was uncomfortable. She also could have
said no, like there was nothing I did not. I
had no problem with it whatsoever.

Speaker 3 (50:19):
I thought that he threw it back to them, yeah
it was over, yeah, and that he was going to
do some work. Yes, to your point, maybe the numbers
were to get more Braves fans. I did think that
he mentioned phone numbers, and I thought that that was
a funny joke, like, hey, I'm going to work and
try to get these numbers. Would that have been un
It was that line unprofessional already, like because I don't

(50:39):
feel that way. I just I don't know if I'm
getting to be old guy and just don't care anymore.
And maybe I'm not offended by as much stuff. I
know it's usually get off my lawn, guy, But I
just don't think this is the battle that you want
to fight for. It shouldn't be a battle of asking
people their phone numbers to go out on a date.

Speaker 6 (51:00):
Yes, as I could not agree with you more because
I do think there's a double standard, but I want
to go fight for equal pay, like you know what
I'm saying, Like that's what Rob upset about.

Speaker 4 (51:09):
I'm not said about this like go. I also feel
like I don't know men.

Speaker 6 (51:15):
Men are the ones typically who hit on women, right,
And I do think if a woman did this, I
feel like people would like it. I feel like you
would see a lot of people come out and be
like you go girl, and then there would be the
ones dragon as well.

Speaker 3 (51:26):
See, I don't know if people would like it, but
I just I don't see how this is harmless and creepy.

Speaker 4 (51:32):
I don't think it is.

Speaker 3 (51:33):
Maybe it wasn't the best move. Like overall, when you
take a step back, it was entertaining television. It was
It absolutely was more entertaining than anything in that game.
I would say, especially if you're a Blue Jays fan,
because they were losing in that game. Isaac Glowing Kron,
your experience as a broadcaster, what's your honest opinion?

Speaker 4 (51:51):
How many have you hit on throughout you?

Speaker 3 (51:54):
I can tell by his face he's pretty No, he's
got a stance on this. I'm thinking you're thinking this
is wildly inappropriate. Am I right on the contrary? Oh okay, hey,
I didn't have.

Speaker 8 (52:06):
A problem with it.

Speaker 5 (52:08):
But at the same time, there is an overwhelming double
standard in play here when it comes to stereotypes. Because
I'll be very honest with you, when I found out
about this last night on social media, I didn't see
any pictures, I didn't see any video.

Speaker 8 (52:24):
I just saw a name.

Speaker 5 (52:25):
Braves, reporter Wiley, And the first thing I said to myself,
honest to goodness, oh no, she is going to get
slammed on social media for this. Because I saw the
name Wiley, not a lot of dudes named, not a
lot of anybody. But I assumed it was a woman,
and that was my first thought, which points to the

(52:48):
stereotypes involved.

Speaker 3 (52:50):
Interesting. I thought that Isaac would be on the other
side of it, But maybe he consumed it like Oll.
He consumed it in his own way and came out
with his opinion. Jason Stewart's here, Chris Purfetts here to
hear their thoughts. We want to hear your thoughts. Eight
seven to seven nine nine six six three six nine.
That's eight seven, seven, nine to nine. On Fox we
want were you offended by this? Should this not have

(53:10):
been done? It's Cavino and Ritch here on Fox Sports Radio.

We're talking baseball, but we're not talking pitches and hits.

(53:53):
Maybe we were talking getting hit on. That's what seemed
to happen during the Braves broadcast last night. Wanted to
know your thoughts on the situation on whether the Brave
sideline reporter was wrong. Just put it that way, Wiley Ballard?
Was he wrong for getting a phone number live on

(54:14):
the air during that Brave's Blue Jays game eight seven
seven nine nine on Fox A's eight seven seven nine
nine six six' three six.' nine i know we did
have some callers a little, bit AGO but i want
to Get To jason. Stewart first Are you are you
put off by any, of This This wily? Ballard Interview

(54:35):
so i'm not in.

Speaker 9 (54:35):
The least bit put off, by It but i'm probably
not the gender that is put off. By it there's
An off announcing article that basically screenshotted a lot of
the female reaction, to this and these women, are reporters
they're women in, the business and they were the ones
given the reaction that you guys talked about that imagine

(54:55):
if this. Was reversed this, Is creepy this, is disgusting.
Very unprofessional and the one thing that went through, my,
mind well. Two things if these people do get into,
a relationship these two and they, get married this will
be the ultimate how did you? Guys? Meet, story sure
when you go to places and, they're strangers how'd you?
Guys meet this is a, great story and including all

(55:18):
of their brushback he got, for this but it also
reading the reaction to it was kind of a harsh
reminder of how hard it is to navigate the waters
for single men in this day, and age the art,
of seduction the art, of attraction that you are walking
on eggshells with. Every move so that kind of that

(55:41):
that really hit home with me to see the reaction.
TO this i don't want to dismiss any of, that
reaction but as a as, a man THAT'S what i came.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
Up with chris purfet or, TECHNICAL producer i know this
hit you at.

Speaker 1 (55:54):
Nine, O'CLOCK yeah, I look i DON'T think I like
i'm not casting judgment. ON it i just think in,
MY moment i was. Just awkward situations make me uncomfortable to.
Watch sometimes so when it was UNFOLDING as i was watching,
the video, It's like i'm just kind of feeling uncomfortable
on behalf of, everyone involved mostly just thinking on how

(56:17):
it's going to, break down probably because of this kind
of reaction that it's going to get judged that you.
KNOW it i the woman in that moment on the
spot over, the number the guy like trying to play
it off with the people in. His ears everything just.
FELT awkward i missed the part at the end where
he actually did get, the NUMBER so i guess that
kind of sticks. The landing but just everything in the

(56:37):
moment just kind of like felt super uncomfortable, for me
and that just kind of makes me recoil a little
bit on behalf of.

Speaker 6 (56:45):
Other people INTERESTING because i heard the, words disgusting VILE
before i looked at, The video AND when i looked at,
THE video i thought it was. SO innocent i was
not uncomfortable for. ANYBODY involved i thought it looked. SO
innocent i think it's. All, AROUND yeah i just WANT
to i think it's the process of. Consuming this if
you're watching the game and you see, that exchange you laugh.

Speaker 3 (57:06):
About it if you see the headline, unprofessional act you
all you come in with a certain in a certain
way of thinking of it instead of just, you know
consuming it organically like. It WAS and i think so
if you're if you're consuming it, that way you're already

(57:28):
going in with a preconceived notion of what, it is
and it may have, affected, your uh your opinion. Of
it it's not to say that there isn't a, double
STANDARD because i totally agree with you that. There is, there.

Speaker 4 (57:40):
IS absolutely i.

Speaker 3 (57:41):
Just does everything have to be? A problem can we
just maybe just laugh? At this and it. WAS funny
i thought the woman handled handled herself even Better than
wiley ballor did and saying again the point, of oh
it's them in, your ear that's what it is about playing.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
Enjoy, It, yes yeah she. Liked it. WAS sweet i
thought it. WAS cute i thought it.

Speaker 7 (58:03):
Was cute this doesn't mean that you should go and do.

Speaker 4 (58:06):
That though read.

Speaker 6 (58:07):
The room read the, room first you Know what. I'm,
saying Absolutely She's.
