As well as the murder itself, we will look at; background, pre-homicide, defence & prosecution, sentencing and legacy. Crime reporting in the UK is challenging as all information is strictly confidential.

David Nathan, an off-duty officer, was walking near an abandoned flint mill in Burton-on-Trent, Staffordshire, in an area accessible by a locked gate or a long walk down a narrow lane. He tripped on what looked like a bag of cement poking up from the ground but, on closer examination, found it was the top of a skull.
Who were they and what would they discover when they were dug out?
In 2009 five body parts were found scattered across Leicestershire and Hertfordshire. This victim would be darkly nicknamed the Jigsaw Man, but who were they and what would motivate someone to do something so grotesque?
A man lays stabbed 42 times on a country road. His girlfriend tells the police that they were a victim of road rage and describes the car and perpetrator responsible.
What was the truth and how was it uncovered?
The Christopher Foster family murder case is one of the most disturbing instances of family annihilation in modern British criminal history. The brutality of the murders, combined with financial collapse and psychological distress, makes this case particularly tragic.
This case is sometimes referred to as 'The Foster Family Annihilation'
Gareth Williams, a maths prodigy, worked for GCHQ, the UK’s Government Communications Headquarters as a code-breaker.
On Monday, August 23, 2010, his colleagues grew concerned when he failed to come into work for several days.. When the police entered the flat, for a welfare check, they were confronted with Gareth's naked body in the bathtub stuffed inside a bright red North Face sports bag, which was locked from the outside.
The brutal murder of Daniel Morgan is one of the most infamous unsolved cases in British criminal history. Morgan, a private investigator from London, was brutally murdered in 1987 with an axe to the head. The case has been marked by a series of botched investigations, police corruption, the UK papers, conspiracy stories and multiple failed attempts to bring those responsible to justice.
In 2008 Sabina and Ursula Eriksson were at the centre of a series of bizarre events that captured the imagination of not only the UK and Europe, but the wider world.
They reportedly had normal lives as they grew up in Sweden and there was nothing in their past to predict or explain what was to happen.
Louise Kam, disappeared in July 2021 and was later found dumped in a rubbish bin.
Two men were quickly detained and each attempted to blame on the other.
What was the motive and chain of events?

Today's case is that of Elle Edwards (pronounced Ellie), who was a completely innocent bystander when she was shot on Christmas Eve, 2022.

Paul Hanson was found with fatal wounds at home after a 999 call from his wife just 3 days after Christmas, on December 28th, 2022. Paul was described by his son as "the rock of the family".
We will look at the chain of events that led up to the murder, any contributing factors and the perpetrator.
In 2007, the bodies of 2 sisters were found in their home, in a scene that would be described as "absolutely frenzied".
We will look at the chain of events, motives, trial, justifications, and any warning signs that, with the power of hindsight, which we, unfortunately, do not have, could have resulted in these girls going on to have the happy and fulfilling lives they should have had.
