three one one one eight. We still have some good
prizes up there on the board. And while we wait
for caller twenty five, Lisa, you've got a book club
event coming up. In fact, registration is opening this morning, right.
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Okay, So we have a book club event coming up
on April second, featuring Jeff Benedict. Now, Jeff Benedict is
a sports writer. He he wrote The Dynasty, which we
all watched, about the Patriots, about Bill Belichick, about Tom Brady,
about the Crafts that was on Apple TV last year.
Speaker 3 (00:33):
He wrote the lebron book.
Speaker 2 (00:34):
He wrote the Tiger Woods book that was turned into
it was called Tiger and it was a two part
documentary for HBO. So he's going to be at my
book club April second at the Revere Hotel. Jeff's calling
in this morning at nine ten, So we're billing this
as you know, you can come like all my book
club members come, but bring like this is a great
one to bring your husband, to bring your boyfriend, to
(00:55):
bring your brother, to bring your father to because Jeff
is such an amazing sports journalists and the New.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
York Times bestseller. But getting back to the Patriots ten
part the Dynasty, which by the way, was incredible.
Speaker 3 (01:07):
It was brilliant.
Speaker 1 (01:08):
One of my favorite parts of that whole thing was
the so called Brady Revenge tour right after defleet a
right justin.
Speaker 4 (01:15):
Yeah, and they had the Taylor Swift song and then
the whole sequence is amazing.
Speaker 3 (01:18):
That season.
Speaker 5 (01:20):
It was like a song from Taylor Swift. He was like,
look what you made me do.
Speaker 4 (01:28):
It was an fa year Fia Gamal Baby said that
for a long time.
Speaker 1 (01:36):
That pulling for us anyway, pretty drive touchdown.
Speaker 4 (01:46):
This dude is on another level to begin with, I'm
scared as hell.
Speaker 6 (01:50):
Brady right now.
Speaker 7 (01:56):
You can tell he was angry and we're like the
back here he goes.
Speaker 4 (02:02):
Watch him get pissed off and go, oh my god,
so hyped. I remember I saw that for the first time.
Speaker 1 (02:08):
I was, yeah, he's got chills again. I have to say.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
Jeff Benedict wrote and produced the ten part docum sent
Yeah and wrote the book that he's coming to the
book club, So if you liked it, you loved it,
you can come meet him in person.
Speaker 1 (02:21):
Yeah, at least is right I mean, this is Sportstown, USA, baby,
and there's gonna be a lot going on in the
start of April in sports. You know, Red Sox season
will be a full swing, NBA playoffs most likely. So
Jeff Benedict is the real deal.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
So a couple of things least that we have to
ask him, right, is obviously about the Belichick craft right then,
because you know that was they took some shots at Belichick.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
That was the under the bus on that documentary.
Speaker 4 (02:47):
And then the other thing is the Malcolm Butler part.
Benching of Malcolm Butler. That was one of the pivotal
scenes in the in the documentary. In the twenty seventeen season,
Malcolm Butler played ninety eight percent of the snaps. Why
was he only on the field for one play during
the Super Bowl?
Speaker 8 (03:07):
Matt, we've talked about that.
Speaker 4 (03:08):
I didn't ask you about it.
Speaker 9 (03:10):
What has been told to me is that there was
something personal going on between Bill and Malcolm that was
not football related.
Speaker 4 (03:21):
And we never found out what it was.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Now, staff field shenanigans, you would guess, right, because Belichick
hated that sort of thing. Yeah, the attention to the
team off the field. But then you had the Aaron
Hernandez thing and the Alex Guerrero chapters, and I mean
the ten part docu series. It's amazing, and it's all
Jeff Benedict, it's amazing. This is gonna be a good
book club, great book club. Really, and Lisa's right, bring
(03:44):
your husband, bring your sons, bring it.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
Yeah, it's at the Revere, so all are welcome. There's
no like twenty one play.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
All are welcome, and how do people get there?
Speaker 2 (03:53):
All right, we're posting the link right at nine am today,
so it's all on our socials, so on my Lisa
donovand went away on the kiss.
Speaker 3 (04:00):

we've got Hannah from Milford on the phone. Good morning, Hannah,
good morning. So it's time to play the match game, Hannah.

Oh she feels good. Let's play. Just it's time to play. Really,
and Lisa's match gay kiss one away. I love that part.
People can't see it because you know we're on the radio.
But when that hands. Lisa jumps out of her chair,
grabs her mic and goes over the gain.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
I have to man the board.
Speaker 1 (04:38):
Okay, I'm here. Okay, you said you're ready, Hannah. Let's
see if you are. What's your first number?
Speaker 6 (04:44):
Number twenty six?
Speaker 3 (04:45):
Okay, she's playing along. Oh, Katy Perry at the Garden.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Okay, Hannah, what is your next pick for Katy Perry?
Speaker 8 (04:57):
Number eighteen?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
Katy Perry at the We're having a string of winners,
string of winners, page game man. Good job at Hannah.
You did pay attention, you did do your homework. What
are you gonna bring with you to Katy Perry? She's
a big show.
Speaker 10 (05:16):
Ooh, probably my fiance.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Night that night. Well, engagement price there. Okay, Hannah, hold
on and producer Riley, we'll get your information. But off

And we'll do it again tomorrow morning at seven ten
and eight ten. We still have prizes up on the board.
Speaker 4 (05:34):
Justin Yeah, hose Er at Fenway, that's gonna be a
big show. Also, Gracie Abrams at the Garden, that's gonna
be a big one too.
Speaker 1 (05:41):
Kids.
Speaker 11 (05:42):
One wait with Billy and Lisa's weird stories.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Okay, this comes out of Manchester, New Hampshire. A man
was arrested Sunday after running naked through traffic on Route
sixteen in Dover following a crash of his car.
Speaker 12 (05:57):
Police say a man arrested for running through traffic on
sixteen and Dover was driving a vehicle stolen from Somersworth.
Officers say thirty five year old Shawn Wiener crashed that
vehicle in Dover. They say while he was running away
from the scene, he took off all his clothes and
then just left them on the side of Route sixteen
before then running across the highway.
Speaker 3 (06:16):
To get it.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
His name was Sean Wiener, and he was running around naked.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
So I wonder if it's the same guy that I.
Speaker 2 (06:24):
Saw last year on the express right running through traffic naked.
Speaker 3 (06:28):
It was the craziest thing I've ever.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
Seen with nothing.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
He had nothing on.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
Yeah, yeah, I remember, I remember that story.
Speaker 3 (06:35):
I remember I took a picture.
Speaker 4 (06:36):
Yeah, maybe he crossed the border to my neck of
the woods.
Speaker 3 (06:39):
He mean, this is the guy.
Speaker 1 (06:40):
Hey, there was another full frontal on the white lotus lots.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
Yeah, and there you go, Winnie, it's uh something look
forward to.
Speaker 1 (06:46):
It's something to get you watching, watching. I don't know
if you saw this story. I saw the video. I
couldn't believe it. So they had the Class three State
indoor track Championships and there was a relay race and
this woman, Ala Everett, you know, holding a baton because
it was a relay, managed to crack another woman over
(07:06):
the head with a baton. That was Kayleen Tucker, who,
by the way, suffered a concussion and a potential skull fracture.
I mean this was serious business.
Speaker 10 (07:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
And the woman, the girl that hit the other girl,
is saying it was an accident. Oh yeah, all saw
the video.
Speaker 12 (07:21):
Everybody has feelings.
Speaker 4 (07:23):
So you're physically hurt, but you're not thinking of my
mental right there, you were off of one angle a
couple of times, hitting her my betigh got stuck behind
her back like this and it rolled up her vet.
I lost my balance and when I put my arms again,
she got hit. I know you can watch. The video
is clear. It doesn't matter. The angle cracks her on her.
(07:44):
She was mad that she was about to get beaten,
and she smashed this girl over the head with the baton.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
Yeah, she's saying it's a video misunderstanding. The angles are
incriminating her when in fact she was a total accident.
You watch the video, you be the judge. But she
cracks her over the watching.
Speaker 13 (08:00):
That I saw the video last night, literally looks so
bleate and it's so funny. Not funny, but it's interesting
because she wasn't even like gonna be first place, right
the first place girl was already way ahead.
Speaker 4 (08:11):
She just didn't want to get beat by that girl.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Yeah, it was awful, Go ahead, money, Okay.
Speaker 13 (08:15):
So a tornado hit a news station in Florida during
a live broadcast. There was one hundred and fifteen one
hundred and fifteen mile winds an hour.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
Thankfully, no what's injured though.
Speaker 14 (08:26):
This is a look at the live camera of a
tornado which could be passing by our station right now.
Speaker 1 (08:32):
Take shelter.
Speaker 14 (08:33):
Everybody in the Fox FT five building gets your safe space.
Speaker 1 (08:36):
We're catching debring it right now. On the roof. We're hearing.
Speaker 14 (08:40):
You can see a debris flying there on the camera.
This is a tornado. Seek shelter, immediately, get under your desks.
Guy's anchors, under the desks. Okay, we got power flickering out.
This is a confirmed tornado. Okay, I've been doing this
for a very long time. That's the first time with tornado.
He's hit while I'm doing the weather.
Speaker 4 (09:00):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
It's kind of exciting but at the same time scary, terrifying,
very scary.
Speaker 8 (09:04):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
Yeah, you never want to be in a twister.
Speaker 3 (09:06):
I just watched Twister again.
Speaker 1 (09:09):
I did too. Twisters.
Speaker 3 (09:10):
Yeah, Twisters too with Glenn Powell.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Yep, I now know who. Glenn Powell was really good.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
If you haven't seen it, I haven't seen it. They
did such a good job.
Speaker 4 (09:17):
Okay, yep, I'll check it out.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
You got a bonus and there Bra.
Speaker 4 (09:20):
We're out of time and having a good one too.
About a steam room. You would like this one?
Speaker 1 (09:24):

it at the wrap up.

Yea quick update from Australia. I remember last week we
got some talkbacks about the cyclone in Australia, and you
know we were, you know, our thoughts and prayers or
with our listeners. Sure they were going to be okay,
and they're okay.
Speaker 15 (10:03):
Morning Boston, Wondering Katie checking back in with you guys
from Brisbane, Australia. In regards to the flight clone, I
didn't blow away. I'm still here, so that's great. It
got down graded to the tropical storm before it hit land,
but it was still a bit disruptive for various parts
of the area. Quite a bit of flooding as well
(10:24):
as a series of power outages throughout the Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
Oh good, everything's okay. It's got to be scary though,
So I'm not going to feel bad about playing the
cyclone song. No, I don't feel that. I don't feel bad.
Everything's okay, that's good, let's hit it.
Speaker 8 (10:41):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
The entertainment update with a Billy Podsay.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
So last night the iHeartRadio Podcast Awards, Mel Robbins won
for Best Overall Podcast Home.
Speaker 16 (10:52):
One of the reasons why I'm so proud to be
receiving this incredible award this year is because you know,
in a moment in time where the world feels overwhelming
and kind of dark, I think it's really cool that
people are turning to very positive programming. They're listening to
things that are going to help them improve their life
instead of escape their life. And that's a huge opportunity
(11:13):
for all of us to be a lighthouse when the
world feels dark.
Speaker 1 (11:16):
Well, I think it was Lisa Dunovan's book Club that
pushed her over the top. I'm sure they talked about
it backstage last night. No, we got to go Mel,
she was on the book club.
Speaker 3 (11:24):
We're so happy for our Mel Robbins.
Speaker 1 (11:26):

up this morning.

into the Apple TV doc that we all watched last year.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
He's thanking us.
Speaker 4 (12:39):
He's our coworker.
Speaker 1 (12:40):
Yeah that's right, right, yeah. And it was a good
night for the Kelsey family. Travis and Jason Kelsey won
Best Sports Podcast to Jason's wife, Kylie Kelsey won Best
Emerging Podcast. I can see that didn't she beat out
a caller, Daddy?
Speaker 2 (12:53):
She did call her daddy was up for a lot
of awards. Mel Beat call her daddy, Alex Cooper.
Speaker 1 (12:59):
Yeah, the iHeartRadio Music Awards are this coming Monday night

I need some of that from Riom.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Wow, you are so gorgeous and it's such an art.
I love you so much.
Speaker 13 (13:44):
It's crazy because I just imagine, but I'm already in
love with you, and I feel like we're.
Speaker 3 (13:48):
Kind of dusted.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
We got to talk about Wendy Williams. We did yesterday.
We talked about her planned appearance on the view of
this coming Thursday, But yesterday she was taken to the
hospital for observation after holding a sign in her window
saying help me. And then I think she dropped the
sign out of the window down to the ground below,
and they sent her for a psych exam and she
(14:12):
passed with flying color. She got ten out of ten.
Speaker 3 (14:15):
Right, it was a cognitive exam and she passed. So
what does this mean?
Speaker 1 (14:19):
Something's going on with this guardian, this woman who's in
charge of the guardianship, who says she's completely incapacitated. It
doesn't appear.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
So again, follow the money.
Speaker 2 (14:29):
Guardians make money, conservatorships, guardians make money.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
So her son, yeah, her son was taking money.
Speaker 6 (14:36):
Yep.
Speaker 1 (14:37):
Yeah, he spent like eighty thousand dollars on Uber eats.
Speaker 2 (14:40):
Yeah, that's just insane, that's just yeah, that's just not.
Speaker 13 (14:44):
Okaying like that, like he's just spending all his month's money.
Speaker 3 (14:47):
Not sad.
Speaker 13 (14:48):
And then I mean, just like his father who used
to spend all the money before they got divorced.
Speaker 3 (14:52):
Especially if she is better than they're.
Speaker 1 (14:56):
Saying, yeah, and it appears she is right. Wasn't she
seen too recent going through an airport. She seemed fine.
She was talking.
Speaker 13 (15:02):
Openly to every she went down to Miami was her
dad for his like ninetieth birthday or something like that.
And she seemed okay, and she was almost charming.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
And she sounded fine. We played clips from that interview.
She sounded good.
Speaker 3 (15:12):
Well, we'll see what she does on the view on Thursday.
Speaker 1 (15:15):
I hope she's there in person, right, me too. Reports
say Tom Brady has found love again.
Speaker 2 (15:20):
Oh well, he's back again with Irena Shake. I guess
there was it was just it was that.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
Was good justice shaking baking Miami a little bit.
Speaker 2 (15:32):
I guess it was it wasn't the right time before
it was bad timing.
Speaker 1 (15:36):
Well, I think they were both crazy busy. But Brady
was just settling into his broadcast gig. I think not
to mention, of course, his partnership with my son, but
you know that's uh, that takes up some time, does
take up some time too.
Speaker 13 (15:48):
Busy on the phone with Chris Coss did have sex
with Irena Shake in her card vault.
Speaker 1 (15:52):
By Tom Brady.
Speaker 4 (15:54):
I mean, how many times has Chris your son facetimed
Tom Brady. Now it's like five times.
Speaker 1 (15:58):
Yeah, he's got him in his cell phone, just Tom.
Anytime he's probably with Tom and Irena right now.
Speaker 3 (16:02):
But you know they'll be double dating, right Chris.
Speaker 1 (16:06):
And Hannah, Tom and Irena.
Speaker 4 (16:08):
Imagine?
Speaker 1 (16:09):
Wow?
Speaker 3 (16:09):
Fun.
Speaker 4 (16:10):
Well, Chris made a promise.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
To us, Yeah, will be in the studio before he
goes anywhere else on the card vault thing.
Speaker 4 (16:18):
Yeah. By the way, Okay, So my friends infamously don't
think I'm even one ounce cool that I work on
the Kiss one away. They just don't care. But they
know about this partnership with and they said to me
in a group chat, they said, is there a chance
that you're going to meet Tom Brady? And I said,
there's a chance. Now, I'm the coolest friend. I made it.
Speaker 13 (16:38):
But you know, Chris gonna say I never said he'd
come in.
Speaker 1 (16:40):
I could get it. Maybe a call. I don't think
there's no way I'm going to get him in studio.
Maybe he'll call, send a message, you know what.
Speaker 3 (16:47):
We'll take a call.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
We'll take a call pretty soon.
Speaker 1 (16:50):
I want to get a call from my son, let
alone Tom. How about Neo? This week, he took to
Instagram to introduce the four count them four women He's
in a relation chip with Paul Amorous. Yep, yeah, and
I love this story Darius Rucker coming to Quinsy, Massachusetts. Yep,
what is it.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
They're celebrating a Quins four hundredth it's their four hundredth anniversary,
so they're having like a whole year of events. And
Ellen I'm doing event with her this Thursday and celebration
of it at Granitelins.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
But then Darius is coming, yeah August second, he's doing
Veterans Memorial Stadium. Is that a nice stadium?
Speaker 3 (17:26):
It's nice.
Speaker 13 (17:27):
I mean it's where the kids play, you know, football,
many people, I mean maybe ten thousand. That's so actually,
if you bring in enough like things, I mean, it's
pretty big. Maybe maybe if they bring in enough of
those what are those scaffolding things? I mean, but it's
not huge. And Quincy residents get first crack at the
tickets obviously, says who.
Speaker 2 (17:48):
Yeah, because it's quins four hundred. They did the same
thing without it. I mean, that's it's a celebration of
the city. So they want to give their resident.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
We're paying taxes for a long time there. Okay, okay,
you've been bragging about Quincy how long?
Speaker 8 (18:00):
Now?
Speaker 1 (18:00):
So are you getting me my two tickets? I'll try,
I'll try it. They don't really like me.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
So I talked to the person who's organizing it and
she said that you you will be involved.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
I'm all set for Darius. Yeah, all right, we go
Hoody Baby not from Winnie though, I'm not doing the
Queen of Quincy baby raining and Randolph who So The
Bachelor last night was very key on I guess the
women tell all episode? What did you take from that?
Speaker 4 (18:30):
Lease?
Speaker 2 (18:31):
It's just a cat fight that went on for too
long and Jesse Palmer should know better. This is like
my son said, this was his super Bowl last night,
and he just I walked.
Speaker 3 (18:39):
Out of the room. At one point. I'm like, I
can't hear these girls screaming at each other.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
It was ridiculous, and they focused on the same two
women all night.
Speaker 3 (18:45):
Yeah, it was bad.
Speaker 4 (18:46):
A good host has to be able to keep control guardrails.
Speaker 3 (18:50):
Yeah, you gotta keep guardrails.
Speaker 1 (18:51):
And our bets are on Juliana to win right.
Speaker 12 (18:53):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
From Newton, Massachusetts, We'll see Sales beat the Jazz last
night one fourteen one eight Houser seven threes in a
single quarter. I love this part though. Coach Missoula. His
brother is an assistant coach for the Jazz and he
was asked about his brother Joe.
Speaker 5 (19:10):
What is he meant to see your brother gets, you know,
start with Utah over the last you know, a couple
of years here and you know see him kind of
develop his own career out there.
Speaker 8 (19:18):
Yeah, I mean he works for the other team.
Speaker 4 (19:19):
There you go, Missola is my hair?
Speaker 1 (19:23):
Oh yeah, I love him. Brad Marshand is with the
Panthers now officially introduced yesterday, and he got emotional too
talking about the whole experience with the Bruins trading him,
and we have a clip right here.
Speaker 17 (19:36):
I've had an incredible run in that organization and I'm
extremely proud just how things went there.
Speaker 9 (19:53):
Sorry.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Yeah, so he'll be with the team, but he's still
not ready to play. He's fighting that shoulder injury. I
guess it's pretty series, But chances are he's going to
wander into the Bruins locker room because he hasn't even
had a chance. That's how fast it happened. To say
goodbye to his teammates. Some of them are very upset.
Speaker 4 (20:09):
By the way. Yeah, that must be a trip to
just get traded like that. I mean, especially after that
many years, sixteen years and when we had Chase Winovichen
he used to play for the Patriots, and he came
in for an interview, and afterwards I was talking to
him outside and I said, do you ever live like
in fear or is it on your mind that you
could get traded at any time? He goes, yeah, I think
about it all the time. That was at nine am.
They traded them at one o'clock. Yeah, right, I cursed them.
(20:32):
And the trade means you're uprooting your family. Yeah, you're
moving out of town. You got to find a place
to live, schools for your kids to go to. Anyway,
We're brought to you by the ninety nine Restaurant.
Speaker 1 (20:42):
Celebratey Saint Patrick's Day at the ninety nine Restaurant this
Sunday and Monday. You can enjoy the traditional corn beef
and cabbage dinner or tried to corn beef ruben with
a lucky horseshoe Ale gotta love the Nines and there
you go.
Speaker 14 (20:56):
The Billy and Lisa's Show will be the first broadcast
that Tom is on in the New England area.
Speaker 1 (21:02):
Billy and Lisa every morning, Just one to wait, justin
The match game is on fire. We had another winner
in the eight o'clock hour.
Speaker 4 (21:09):
Yeah, we're just knocking winners out left and right. Congratulations
to Hannah she won the Katie Perry tickets.
Speaker 3 (21:15):
Number Katy Perry at the Garden.
Speaker 1 (21:21):
Having a string of winners.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
Yeah, only two prizes left on the match game Hozier
at Fenway this summer and what we think is a
big one Gracie Abrams this summer at the TV Garden.
So tomorrow morning seven, ten and a ten we'll play
the match game. It could be the last day if
you are paying attention. Crazy up in ten and ehen
one morning Tomorrow Mornings from.
Speaker 2 (21:42):
The Planet Fitness Kids one Away Studios. We're back with
a Billy and Lisa in the Morning on Hit eight.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Hi, everybody, welcome back. It's to Billy and Lisa Morning
Show on a Tuesday morning. And what will be a
beautiful day, right Liz.
Speaker 2 (21:56):
Yeah, it's going to be mid sixties and sunny, so enjoy.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
And you had your latest book club get up there
for registration this morning, right, Okay?
Speaker 2 (22:03):
We posted it at nine because we have Jeff Benedict
on the phone, who was the author of the Dynasty
and then the ten part documentary series on Apple TV.
Plus that we all watched, and I think we have
Jeff on the phone.
Speaker 1 (22:16):
Hey, Jeff, you there, Hey, good morning, So Jeffer, I
got to make a point here, if you don't mind. Okay,
I know New York Times Bestseller, Emmy Award winner, right,
I'm not mistaken, right, keep going, hundreds of stories and essays.
And you did Lebron James, you did Tiger Woods, obviously
(22:37):
the Dynasty. But you know what, Jeff, you haven't done
Lisa Dunovan's book Club yet. Welcome to the Octagon.
Speaker 3 (22:46):
Exactly the mother of all book club.
Speaker 8 (22:51):
I was waiting for the punchline. Now you got it.
Speaker 1 (22:53):
Yeah, Well, thank you so much Jeff for doing this.
Lisa's doing a fabulous job with the book club, and
I think you're really really going to enjoy the experience.
Speaker 10 (23:02):
I can't wait, really looking forward to it. I think
it's tremendous and it's also great just because it's right
now heart of Boston. So as a New Englander, I'm
looking forward to it.
Speaker 2 (23:13):
The link is up, registrations are rolling in, I'm told
so we're going to fill this thing up.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
In the next hour or two. It will be sold out.
But I mean, Jeff we as a group here, we
would come.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
In and watch the docuseries The Dynasty on Apple TV,
and then we would come in and just talk about it, right.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Yeah, because there were so many parts that just gave
us so many questions and I got a lot of
chills during the docu series justin you want to play
a clip from the Brady Revenge tour that season.
Speaker 5 (23:44):
It was like a song from Taylor Swift. He was like,
look what you made me do?
Speaker 4 (23:52):
It was an faa year.
Speaker 6 (23:56):
Fakamal Baby said that for a long time on that
poolm For us, anyway.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
Pretty drills a touchdown.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
This dude is on another level to begin with, I'm
scared as hell Brady right now.
Speaker 7 (24:20):
You could tell he was angry and we're like the
King is back here he goes watch him get pissed off.
Speaker 1 (24:27):
And go, Jeff, do you still get the chills when
you watch or hear some of this?
Speaker 8 (24:35):
Yeah? Actually I do.
Speaker 10 (24:36):
I Mean one of the things that for me at least,
that was really satisfying and fun about making the documentary
that was different than the book is that we got
to use music like we use Taylor Swift, The Rolling Stones,
David Bowie, Freddie Mercury as a way to really bring
emotion and power some of the scenes in the film.
(24:56):
That it's obviously a very different medium than the book.
The book will always be probably the thing I love
the most because I spent a few years with the
Patriots team writing that book while Tom was in his
final two seasons.
Speaker 8 (25:10):
In New England. By the time we made the.
Speaker 10 (25:12):
Documentary, Tom was gone and things were different, But it
was just an opportunity to do something on television that
you can't do on the page.
Speaker 2 (25:21):
One of the things that we talked about a lot
when we were watching it was that it seemed like
it was a little harsh on Belichick.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
Would you agree with that?
Speaker 10 (25:32):
Not really, I mean I think I actually thought we
were pretty soft on Bill. I think what's jarring for
people though, and the reason I understand why some people
think that, and that's a feeling that's actually pretty limited
to New England and particularly like hardcore Pats fans, but
(25:52):
is that you're seeing Bill on television in an environment
that you never see him in before.
Speaker 8 (25:57):
Bill doesn't really do interviews.
Speaker 10 (26:00):
He does press conferences and he kind of has a
stick that he does in a press conference. In this situation,
he was in a very foreign environment. He's sitting in
an interview chair being asked questions that he's really never
had to deal with before, and so he looks very stiff,
he looks uncomfortable, and the fact is he was stiff
and uncomfortable in that environment. But I think if you
(26:22):
look at the series in its totality, what you do
see is you see who Bill is. He was a
very tough, taciturned successful football coach who had a huge
part in why the Patriots were so dominant for twenty years.
And then you contrast that with Tom, who's kind of
the other half of that equation, and their personalities are
(26:44):
very different, but the way they came together, it's pretty
remarkable what they achieved. But I mean, look, you're seeing
Bill as Bill in the series.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
So did you get calls or email or text from
Bill or from Robert or from Tom the first time
they saw the docuseries?
Speaker 8 (27:04):
No? No, no, I mean I would never. I mean
I definitely heard a lot.
Speaker 10 (27:11):
Well, you know, look, you get to know people as
you I was in this thing for five or six years, right,
I mean I worked on these two things back to
back and went from the book.
Speaker 8 (27:20):
To the series. So like five or six years.
Speaker 10 (27:23):
Of my life was invested in telling the Dynasty story
in two different mediums, and you get to know people
pretty well and the organization well. And I feel like
I know that organization really well and the people who
are in it and have a tremendous amount of respect
for everything that was done there, starting with the crafts
and how they built it and sustained it over that
(27:46):
twenty years. It's a remarkable run. By the way, no
team is going to catch them. The Chiefs, in my opinion,
at least, had very little chance of ever replicating what
the Patriots did.
Speaker 1 (27:57):
Now, the Aaron Hernandez chapter must have been a difficult
for you to navigate.
Speaker 10 (28:05):
I mean as a storyteller, it really wasn't that hard.
Look a ton has been written and said about that case.
And the nice thing is I wasn't writing a book
about Aaron Hernandez, nor would I want to. It's predepressing subject. However,
if you're going to write a definitive history of the
Patriots dynasty over a twenty year period, you can't just
kind of skip over that like it didn't happen. It's
(28:28):
a part of the dynasty that actually happens right in
the middle of the two Super Bowl runs, the first
run in the early two thousands and then the back
end run in the late twenty teens. Hernad sits right
in the middle of that, and that's kind of a
little bit of a dark spot. And so, I mean
I covered it in the book over like a couple
of chapters. In the series, we dealt with that whole
(28:52):
thing within one episode.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
I can't even imagine the relationship between you and the
videographers and the editors taking your story, putting it to film,
putting it to pictures. It just seems like such a
complicated process.
Speaker 8 (29:08):
It is.
Speaker 2 (29:10):
That's why it took over five years, Right, what were
your biggest roadblocks did they?
Speaker 3 (29:15):
Like, what was the hardest thing for you?
Speaker 10 (29:18):
Well, I think probably just there's a big difference between
doing a documentary that is traditional, meaning like a one
you sit down and watch a two hour documentary, that's
what most people think of as a documentary.
Speaker 8 (29:31):
This is a series where you're you need the.
Speaker 10 (29:34):
Audience to come back week after week for five weeks
and invest you know, that kind of time.
Speaker 8 (29:41):
So in order to.
Speaker 10 (29:42):
Get people to to do that, you have to create
a product that is, you know, at the end of
each episode says, oh, I can't wait to come back
next week and see the next year.
Speaker 8 (29:51):
And that's peace.
Speaker 10 (29:53):
That's a hard thing to do and it requires buy.
Speaker 8 (29:56):
In from a lot of people. That's why we had.
Speaker 10 (29:59):
You know, we have Rob Gronkowski, we have Eddy Moss,
we have Julian Edelman, we have John bon Jovi, just
this wide range of characters. Besides the look, the three
main characters everybody knows are Tom Bill and Robert. Right,
you're the that's the main attraction, the owner, the coach,
the quarterback. That trio drives this story. But you need
(30:19):
a strong supporting cast around them. That's why we have
Teddy Bruski and we have these other people who were
such key components over twenty years. And I think what
was remarkable was just getting all of those guys to
sit down and to talk about things. For a lot
of these guys they don't normally talk about They were
honest and thoughtful and funny, times right and at times intense.
(30:46):
And you get those emotional ranges in different episodes.
Speaker 1 (30:51):
What did you have the most one on one time with.
Speaker 8 (30:56):
Me personally?
Speaker 10 (30:58):
I mean, I would say as the writer of the book,
I had the most one on one time with Robert
because I felt like, as a writer, the least was
known and written about him. There'd been a ton written
about Tom and Bill over the years. I mean, David
Howardstam did a book on Bill, Michael Holly did some
(31:20):
really good books on the Patriots that focused more on
Bill and Tom.
Speaker 8 (31:25):
No one had really put a light on Robert.
Speaker 10 (31:28):
And to a lesser extent, Jonathan Kraft. And so I
actually leaned into that. When you're writing a book, you
don't want people to pick the book up and go,
I've already read all this before, and so I thought
that the really place that hadn't been dug into was
the ownership component. And when you add that to the mix,
(31:48):
it it actually makes you see Robert and Bill in
a very different light, not a negative light, a different light.
And in fact, I think it makes you appreciate Bill
and Tom even more when you look through the lens
of the owner and see what did he see and
why did he do a lot of the things he
did because he saw what he had in Bill and Tom.
(32:11):
The comparison I make in the book is that he
saw Bill and Tom sort of like John and Paul
and the Beatles, like he knew he had. The two
most important stars in the NFL were on his payroll
at the same time. So it becomes all about how
to keep them there. How do you keep two stars
under one spotlight? Is that is a really tricky thing
(32:35):
to do that. I don't think there's any other owner
Jerry Jones can't pull that off.
Speaker 1 (32:40):
Well that's an interesting perspective. But the big news is
you're doing Lisa's book Club. It's going to be April second.
Speaker 2 (32:46):
It's April second. It's at the Revere Hotel. The registration

Speaker 4 (33:55):

Speaker 5 (34:18):
Anyway, Hi, guys, it's I got run over by a car, Kira.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
Today's my thirtieth birthday.
Speaker 2 (34:23):
So I just wanted to call it to say thanks
for being there every day, but especially today.
Speaker 5 (34:28):
I'm super excited for my thirties.
Speaker 11 (34:30):
I really think it's going to be a good decade.
Speaker 9 (34:33):
Awesome.
Speaker 15 (34:34):
Thanks, guys, have a great day.
Speaker 4 (34:35):
That happy birthday.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Yeah, you get run over by a car, It's not
the kind of thing you forget.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
Now it becomes your name. Yeah, yeah, and I hope
she has a fantastic birthday. Yeah, better than this.
Speaker 6 (34:48):
Hi, it's size of fairy tales. Chris, and I just
wanted to remind everyone that today is a national holiday.
I eat my birthday, and I'm starting off my thirty
second year on this earth with a hitch after I
took a call at Loon Mountain over the weekend and
now I have blunt force trauma to my butt, which
usually I would have a problem with, except this was
(35:11):
not consensual and very painful.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
Okay, I love him so much. That's on that thing.
Speaker 4 (35:21):
Do a cold punch? All right? Coming up next? Well,
wrap up. The show will give you everything that you missed,
So uh, you know what to look for. In the podcast.
We had a couple of winners on the match game
and also a great topic about sharing locations on your phone.
The wrap up is next day with us Kids.
Speaker 2 (35:37):
It's the morning wrap up on Billy and Lisa in
the Morning.
Speaker 4 (35:41):
Let's take a look back and what you missed on

a couple of big winners on the match this morning.
Congratulations to Kayla.
Speaker 18 (36:02):
The other two.
Speaker 2 (36:02):
Ones I really wanted were picked already, So the cold
Play was the.
Speaker 18 (36:05):
Last one I was holding on to.
Speaker 1 (36:07):
Oh, there's very little that can be a cold Play showing.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
That's going to be a great show.
Speaker 1 (36:13):
She's got it.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
Even if you're not a massive cold Play fan, it's
going to be a great show.
Speaker 1 (36:18):
It's just such an atmosphere or such an environment.
Speaker 3 (36:21):
Yeah, I need to I need to be well, you
need to be.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
She's got a thing with Martin.
Speaker 4 (36:25):
Yeah, we need we need a part two of that
interview you did do. Yeah. Also, Hannah won the Katy
Perry tickets.
Speaker 2 (36:32):
Number Katy Perry at the Garden of Winners.
Speaker 4 (36:40):
Funny too, Katy Perry just just announced her opening act.
Anybody see that?
Speaker 1 (36:44):
Oh? Yes, but I.
Speaker 4 (36:46):
Forget it's Rebecca Black. Yes, remember Rebecca Black the Friday
Songs On Friday.
Speaker 3 (36:54):
You asked Rebecca Black choice.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (36:57):
Whatever. Rebecca Black was in her video and the last
was the last Friday Night. I believe.
Speaker 1 (37:03):
I'm sure she didn't have a lot going on.
Speaker 13 (37:05):
Anyway, She's been saying it's Friday for fifteen years.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
What's your name? Why don't you even get her?
Speaker 4 (37:11):
Yeah? Anyway, Tomorrow morning seven teen and eight ten, two
big prizes left Hozier at Fenway and Gracie Abrams at
the TD Gardens. So for topic time this morning, when
you do at seven forty every morning, we talked about
sharing locations. Basically, this girl, guy and a girl went
on a date and then the girl was sharing her
location with the guy. So that ended up being the topic.
Speaker 11 (37:31):
So I'm in my late twenties and like everyone in
my age.
Speaker 16 (37:34):
I'm married.
Speaker 11 (37:34):
By the way, I'm still on my parents' film plan,
which means I share an Apple account with them, and
for some reason, our account is messed up and my
mom is the only one who could see everyone's location,
so when people share their location with me, I don't
get anything. Only my mom can see it and they
can only see my mom's location.
Speaker 3 (37:51):
So people will try to drag me, but they're really just.
Speaker 11 (37:53):
Like stalking my mom. And my mom is like, why
are people sharing their location with me?
Speaker 4 (37:59):
And I'm like, I don't know, that's funny.
Speaker 1 (38:01):
Yeah, somebody who the Apple ID. That sucks And I
don't think any of us has a location right, Like,
I'm not sharing with anybody. I share. You do with
your my my mom, some of my girlfriends.
Speaker 3 (38:12):
Yeah, I share my kids. I demand that they share
their location.
Speaker 13 (38:15):
As you said, leave say exactly, it's important for kids.
Speaker 4 (38:18):
I mean, we have an Apple air tag on my
son in his helmet hidden so we can see where
he is at all times if he leaves the house
with his helmet.
Speaker 13 (38:26):
Thank god we didn't have that when I was in
high school.
Speaker 1 (38:28):
I wouldn't get a lot more trouble than that.
Speaker 18 (38:30):
Are Hey, guys, I have an almost twenty year old
who's home right now to spring break from college, and
he went out last night with a friend. By two am,
he wasn't home, So I got up checked his location,
saw that he was some at someone's house that I knew,
and I felt so much relief. But if I hadn't
had his location, I would have been up all night worrying, sick.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
See, yeah, there's a benefit to it.
Speaker 1 (38:55):
Yeah, with the kids, automatic, I think you got to
know where the kids are.
Speaker 4 (38:59):
Yeah. And then we go finally to our bonus weird
story that we ran out of time for from this morning,
which we do right around eight twenty every morning. So
this is my worst nightmare. I'm sure it's yours. Two Billy,
a guy in Kentucky was arrested after allegedly trapping his
female coworker and a two hundred degree steam room, possibly
(39:20):
as a prank, but the woman lost consciousness and was
treated at a hospital for injuries.
Speaker 19 (39:25):
Our understanding is is up to two hundred degrees the
room could get up to when it's closed, and so
at some point the two of them were talking about
how the one could get shut the other one in there,
and obviously he did, and so when he pushed her
in there, he started the machine. At this point, I
don't want to speculate on him exactly why I did it,
that it was just joking around, even though that's not
(39:46):
really a good joke. We charged him accorden. She was
put in there against her will, locked in and somehow
the machine was starting.
Speaker 4 (39:53):
What a monster.
Speaker 3 (39:55):
This is so horrible. Every time I go in a
saun our steamer, might always worry that the.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
Doors go a lot, me too. Will I be able
to break the glass? I've had that thought, Oh yeah,
would I be?
Speaker 1 (40:04):
He automatic thought? Will you see it in the movies
A lot where if somebody's going to kill someone, they
put him.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
In the steam room, complete torture with shauna.
Speaker 1 (40:11):
Yeah, this guy's got a good prison right, definitely ten
years attempted murant.
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Yeah, you never know what's going to happen in the
steam room.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
And suddenly he would appear in the midst of the
steam with a bandanna on and just un believably big unit.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
Yeah memories, Yeah, billiantly say in the morning on the
iHeartRadio app free to download to check out the podcast.
Speaker 1 (40:36):
We're going to do it all over again. Tomorrow morning
and the match game again, we're coming close to the end.
Will play the match game at seven ten and eight ten.
So have a beautiful day, because it's going to be
a beautiful day. But up next is the Mighty McQuinn.
He's walking toward the doors right now.
Speaker 4 (40:53):
No, they want to now, they want to know why
you keep saying McQuinn.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Oh were they mad?
Speaker 4 (40:56):
Yeah, they're upset.
Speaker 3 (40:57):
Well, he's branding himself as the Mighty cab.
Speaker 4 (41:00):
Okay's the McCabe.
Speaker 1 (41:01):
Up next the Mighty mcduty.
Speaker 3 (41:05):
His birthday was last was yesterday.
Speaker 1 (41:07):
Happy birthday to the Mighty mcduty. Open the door, here
he comes.
