They found Doogie in the clutches of the Rust Bloods. After a deadly scrap they were able to free Doogie and retreat to his safe house. He agreed to help as he owed Dreno half a dozen favors.

Deep in The Taint, the Gate Keepers are battling it out with a child of Craystar when Saint Roxolana and Craystar himself shows up and enters the fray. The party quickly realizes they are outmatched by the power of Craystar, but if not for Roxolana, they might have been annihilated. Craystar, realizing he wasn't going to abscond with his son, he retreated to lick his wounds, and plot his return.
The protagonists of this story arrive at the market, only to discover that Madame Q is nowhere to be found. With no money in their pockets, they decided that skullduggery was their only course of action in order to procure the coin necessary to buy the needed equipment for venturing forth into the frozen wastes. After the Gate Keepers handily defeated the bugs deep in the mines of Drazo'Ber'Tala they continued further into the mines, closer to the ancient Dwarven City. Upon reaching the clearing at the gates of the city, they were met by one of the horrors of the mines, a child of Craystar. Astryn attempted to talk with the creature but was unable to until some intervention of a divine nature interceded.
Unfortunately the first episode's audio didn't save, but we have continued on with the story and will do our best to retell the events of the first episode in as many ways as we can. The party, having met in Prison Camp 3, was sentenced to wear a mark and go collect shards of the sun in order to pay off their debt to society. Harold offers his services to the leader of the Dwarves, Hector Urvak; a gentleman he met once in the company of Eythor Falcox. The Gate Keepers finish exploring the moon elf ship, finding some mysterious cards along the way; cards meant for reading fortunes, or foretelling the future. Onibath reads the cards and shares what she reads. Afterwards the crew decides they must destroy the tree, and they set about to do just that. The tree however will not go down without a fight.
Astryn talks to the tree locked away aboard the Ban'Duar. It reveals it wants peace, but what does the tree mean by peace? A ghost speaks with Harold; who helps the ghost remember something. The ghost is worried about what the tree will do. With the pieces of the puzzle falling into place, the Gate Keepers must decide what they will do with the tree and the ship.
The Gate Keepers intercept a distress signal from a ship requesting aid. The ship appears to be on the way to their destination and decide to help whoever is on board this ship. They arrive to find that there seems to be no life aboard the vessel, and after landing in the ships docking bay and ascending to the upper levels, discover something terrible happened.
