A longtime lover of powerful speeches, Charity Fox, has made it her mission in life to inspire and motivate others through deep and meaningful words. We all go through traumas in life, it’s how we react to trauma that gives us the outcome of our lives. Launching January 3, 2025, Charity Fox aims to write 100 short powerful speeches in the next two years. Sometimes healing means looking backwards.
What if failing wasn’t the end — but the beginning of something better?
This is a speech that I have put a significant amount of effort into in the last few months. I gave this speech at my area Toastmasters competition this week. While it may have been too deep and heavy for that room, I still believe that it will resonate with many of you. I recorded the speech as if I was in a room of people. You will notice that when I mention looking around the room.
In today’s episode, I’m sharing my speech titled The Judge, where I dive into the constant judgments we face—from others and, more importantly, from ourselves. This speech is about learning to set down the gavel, embrace empathy, and find freedom in self-acceptance. I hope it inspires you to be a little kinder to yourself and others
Welcome to today's episode of Speaking Backwards, where we dive deep into life's journey—one step at a time. Life is a run. Sometimes it feels like a sprint, sometimes a marathon, but no matter the pace, the key is to keep moving forward.
Have you ever caught yourself just going through the motions—waking up, working, scrolling, sleeping—only to realize days, weeks, even years have slipped by? Too many of us are sleeping through life, waiting for the 'right time' to chase our dreams, take risks, or truly live. But here’s the truth: there is no perfect moment. Life is happening now, and it’s time to wake up and take control.
Life is a lot like an elevator—each floor represents a new chapter, bringing change, challenges, and growth. But not everyone is meant to continue the ride with us.
In this episode, we explore the ups and downs of life, the people who come and go, and the lessons we learn along the way. Through a personal story of transformation and loss, we dive into what it means to outgrow relationships and embrace new levels of growth.
