Nick and Kyle break down the nuances of The Big Bang Theory and critique its place both in nerd culture and within our own hearts. Also we try as hard as we can to talk about the actual show as little as possible, and instead go on long tangents about the nerdy things we're actually interested in.
I swear, we're still having fun!
The title says it all, baby!
Instead of escaping reality, this episode reminds everyone how adding a laugh track wouldn't really make your miserable life any funnier.
This episode stinks! Fortunately, technical difficulties have granted us (and you!) sweet release.
Nick thinks this is a perfect episode so let's just let him have this one.
I swear I wasn't trying to commit to the False Start title, I was just so carried away by soup that I accidentally released our last bonus episode as a main feed episode. So here's the REAL first episode of the season, and now you also have an idea of that hot soup content you're missing if you're not on our bonus feed at: patreon.com/tbbtt
This isn't the worst episode but Nick is confident the production is unravelling.
You just have to rely on actors who aren't part of the main cast.
This show sucks but it turns out Stuart is by far the funniest character on board.
Turns out dating two babes at once is extra hard if you suck.
I guess this is a Game of Thrones episode? OF ILL PORTENT
Raj tries to steal the joy of pregnancy from Wolowtiz and Bernie. Meanwhile, we learn that Leonard is secretly hoarding money, that Sheldon is a great lay, and that no one ever actually finishes Final Fantasy Tactics.
We've cracked it open. This is sitcom version of mayonnaise. Which is weird because I usually love mayonnaise. Maybe it's more like white bread... But I love that too! AGHGH
Raj is juggling babes and everyone is acting like that isn't the most exciting thing that's ever happened in this whole series.
But why? I didn't even talk about it in the episode, but a scene takes place in a tiki bar, and, that's cool but for real what's up with tiki culture? I get it, it's fun, but, why of all things has it persevered?
For the first time ever, we've lost an episode. And while I'm ashamed that I cannot bring you the joy that comes from Kyle's enthusiasm for Superman, I can at least bring you his love of thinking about philosophy stuff.
Also, please support the show so we can afford a producer: patreon.com/tbbtt
We've hit a new peak of not talking about the episode. You're welcome!
Sheldon's grandma shows up and carries on the show's noble tradition of having mom characters that are cooler than any of the main cast. Also Raj is gonna smooch a blonde lady.
Nick gets sensitive about friend dynamics. Meanwhile, if you listen closely enough, you can hear the plastic squeaking of Kyle's cool new Transformers toy. Also we watch a TV show.
If you've ever wanted to know about champagne, satanism, the Stonewall Uprising, chaos theory, LSD, El Nino, true crime and Rosa Parks, then look no further. Josh and Chuck have you covered.
