This Grace for Your Race podcast delves into the exhortations of Jesus and His apostles for us to run our race and to finish well. We will look at the encouragements and the warnings, as well as related topics.
Creation is groaning. We are groaning. Even God is groaning.
Everything and everyone is waiting for the manifestation of the son of God!
This is our sonship, and this is our hope.
We are waiting for God's glory to be revealed in us, as described in Romans 8:18. What a day that will be!
But verse 19 tells us that creation is waiting for the same thing! "Eagerly" it says.
This ought to not only fill us with anticipation, but encourage us all the more to run our race in grace.
How will all of this turn out? What will creation enjoy once we are glorified? The Word gives us some idea!
Glory is not a place; rather it is the expression of God. And God wants to express His glory through us!
Paul mentioned glory several times in Romans 8. We look forward to that wonderful day when we will see the glory of Christ, but how much of that glory will shine out of us? Dare we take it for granted?
Paul said that we may also be glorified with Him "if indeed we suffer with Him." If we believe that we are reading God's Word, t...
We are God's children, growing into sons. We have received the Spirit of sonship, whereby we cry "Abba, Father!"
How precious this is!
How do we encourage the growth to sonship? What can hinder us?
How can we be glorified with Christ?
[Listen to the end for a special announcement]
Every day, even every hour, we chose to live by either the flesh or the Spirit. How much does it matter?
Paul wrote: if you are living according to the flesh, you are going to die
How should I take that? Does the warning really apply to me?
Let's ask the church in Sardis.
This week we look at a special feature of verses 9-11.
The divinity of the Holy Spirit and the trinity of God are brought to light in Paul's discussion of the law vs grace.
Which causes us to be born again? Law or Spirit?
Which perfects us? Law or Spirit?
Which produces God's kingdom? Law or Spirit?
Which satisfies God? Law or Spirit?
Is Christ making His home in your heart? If He is, does He do it by our keeping the law or by our abiding in His grace?
Why does Paul equate following the law to the being in the flesh? What is the different between walking according to the law and walking according to the Spirit. How is Jesus our example?
Be ready to be surprised in this episode!
Chapter 8 of Romans is a wonderful chapter. It contains many verses that mean so much to us.
This week we begin with the first two verses.
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus....
God's glory will be expressed in His Son's kingdom.
Joy to the World!
The Lord is come.
Let EARTH receive her King!
What can we expect at the judgment seat of Christ? Will everything be milk and honey, peaches and cream? What does it mean to be ""saved, yet as through fire"?
In this Episode:
Can we really know the whole purpose of God?
If we can know it, what is it?
The apostle Paul said that he was innocent of the blood of all men because he preached the kingdom. What did he mean by that?
What responsibility do we have regarding the kingdom? Aren't we all going to heaven?
What gospel did Jesus preach? What did Paul preach?
The gospel of the Kingdom!
In this episode we bring our perspective down to the land promises that God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Land that Israel will possess on this earth forever!
In this 25,000 foot view we look at how traditional thought affects our understanding of Scripture and how a proper view of the kingdom gives us a different perspective.
This is a broader view from Genesis to Revelation to help us better see what God's eternal plan is.
This week we take an expanded and deeper look at forgiveness as it applies to us.
In this episode we do a deep examination of forgiveness.
Are we required to forgive?
What about that parable in Matthew 18?
A picture of forgiveness in Corinthians
Forgive - Comfort - Reaffirm Love
How do we go on when our heart hurts? We might read about good that comes from something tragic, but what if it touches us? I pray that there is some help for us in this heart-felt message.
