The MATTHEW MINISTRIES MATTERS show’s main goal is to teach topics of interest from a Scriptural perspective and help listeners to practically apply what they hear to their everyday lives. The show’s format will be teaching, interviewing local missionaries, ministries, and guest teachers, or a combination of both. Susan Townsend grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania where she learned good values and work ethic. After graduating from West Chester State College, she taught tenth grade biology at a high school in Fairview Village, PA. After two years teaching school, she joined the U.S. Navy where she served for twenty years, retiring as a Commander. She and her late husband, John Townsend co-founded Matthew 25:34-40 Ministries where they had missions in Ukraine and India that they visited many times over the years. Susan made nine trips to China to deliver Bibles. She and John provided worship services at jails, convalescent homes, and the local rescue mission. When her husband passed away, she reworked the ministry and changed the name to Matthew Ministries. As a new radio personality, she can draw from her many unique experiences to do her show, “Matthew Ministries Matters.”
Susan Townsend continues the series, “What God Wants Us to Be.” This lesson is "Be Patient." God’s patience is His sovereign, purposeful restraint in the unfolding of His will and timing. Patience for people is the Spirit-enabled ability to endure delays, difficulties, trials, and unmet expectations without frustration, anxiety, or complaint. It is trusting God’s timing and purposes in every situation,...
Susan Townsend continues the series, “What God Wants Us to Be.” This lesson is Be Forgiving. Godly forgiving means that He removes our sin, cancels our debt, and restores our relationship with Him. Biblical forgiveness, as God calls His people to practice it, is the willing decision to release an offender from the debt of wrongdoing, to let go of resentment and the desire for...
Townsend continues the series, “What God Wants Us to Be.” This lesson is Be Thankful. To be thankful is to live with a heart that recognizes God as the source of every good gift. Biblical thankfulness is not merely an emotional response to an outcome or benefit in our favor. It is a settled attitude of gratitude that acknowledges God’s goodness, remembers His faithfulness, and trusts Him in every season of l...

In Scripture, faithfulness describes steadfast loyalty, unwavering trustworthiness, and consistent obedience to God over time. It means remaining firm in one’s commitment, even when circumstances are difficult or obedience comes at a cost. True biblical faithfulness is more than a feeling or good intention,...
