Dead Ends

We end Riverdale season 2 with a fight for the town followed by a smaltzy finale. We discuss the 47 plotlines happening in chapter 34, Cheryl being a superhero, Jugheads failed sacrifice, the Cooper women fighting back, Hermione being used by Hiram, Ethel once again not being a character, FP being fair weather, and the big cliffhanger.

It’s time for Kevin’s big play! We discuss the play adaptations of Carrie, why it’s so important for Cheryl, the mishandling of Ethel and the characters reaching a place of forgiveness. But first we cover Archie walking down a dark path, Choni’s big kiss, Hiram’s empire crumbling, Chic getting the Cooper family into trouble and some heavy discussion on conversion therapy (a chapter is listed for that in case you want to skip it).

Another fantastic week of Riverdale and we get a good discussion out of it! We discuss the Betty and Chic confrontations, Archie and Hiram and right wing ideology, Fred being an absolute hero, Jughead doing fantastic this week, Cheryl and Toni (yay!) and Cheryl’s horrifying plot (no!), and Veronica coming to terms with living among the people her family hurts.
