of knowledge about having anemail list, why you should have
one and how you can really growthat email list on autopilot in
the background of your businesswhile you're doing your other

(00:23):
items for your business.

makes it not overwhelming for us, so be sure to stay tuned to
listen to some of Tracy'sawesome tips that she's going to
give us.
Welcome to the e-commerce madeeasy podcast.
I'm your host, keri Saunders.
When we started this business, all I had was a couch, a laptop

(00:45):
and a nine month old-old.
My main goal To help others.
Now, with over 20 years in thee-commerce building industry and
even more than that in webdevelopment, I have seen a lot.
I love breaking down the hardtech into easily understandable
bits to help others besuccessful in their online
business.
Whether you're a seasonede-commerce veteran or just
starting out, you've come to theright place, so sit back, relax

(01:13):
and let's dive into the worldof e-commerce together.
All right, welcome back to theshow.
So today we have a repeatspecial guest with us today.
I'm so excited to have TracyBeavers back on our show, and
she is just a great visibilityand list building strategist and
even just a great businesscoach as well.
So, tracy, why don't you tellus a little bit about you and a

(01:33):
little bit more about what youdo?

Speaker 2 (01:35):
Thanks.
Thanks for having me, keri.
It's always fun to be with you.
I am Tracy Beavers.
I'm a business and sales coachfrom Little Rock, arkansas, and
I've been in the online spaceabout six, seven years, but five
years officially.
I sort of dabbled in it beforeI decided I was going to go all
in, and over the years, what Irealized was that a lot of my

(01:55):
clients and students were comingto me with awesome offers that
they created, but they didn'thave anybody to buy them.
And I realized that visibilitygrowing an audience and, more
specifically, growing an emaillist was really the key to help
them get where they wanted to goin terms of income.
So I have evolved over the pastfew years into calling myself
and being a visibility and listgrowth strategist, and so I am

(02:19):
the list growth coach thatteaches you how to gain massive
visibility online, where itlooks like and you have people
telling you oh my gosh, I seeyou everywhere.
Are you online 24-7?
So it looks like you are, butyou're really not.
That's the secret.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
And then all of that visibility leading directly to
your email list, because that'swhere we're going to convert
your subscribers into buyers, loyal listeners, repeat clients,
referral partners all that goodstuff that generates income in
the long term for our business, and I think that's a great point
that you bring out there, because a lot of people say, oh,

(02:58):
email list, it's great, youreally need to have one, and I
know we hear it a lot, butsometimes we don't really listen
to that advice.
So can you give us somecompelling reasons as to why
email list is really that big ofa deal, on why it's not dead
even in 2025?

Speaker 2 (03:15):
Yeah for sure.
That's a great question.
I think people are starting torealize the importance of an
email list and I have alwayssaid every single business needs
an email list.
Doesn't matter if it's aChick-fil-A franchise or Tracy
Beavers coaching or a massagetherapist or a boutique or a

(03:35):
water restoration company or anetwork marketing representative
.
It doesn't matter what kind ofbusiness it is.
We all need an email list andone of the biggest reasons why
is because we don't own socialmedia.
We do not own these platformsLinkedIn, instagram, facebook,
pinterest, tiktok these thingscould disappear tomorrow and at

(03:57):
the time of this recording, there's a lot of hubbub about
whether or not TikTok is goingto survive in the US and a
couple of years ago, facebookand Instagram went dark for
about 36 hours and when thelights came back on, I'm in the
Meta Leaders Network and I havebeen for a few years and we're
in a Facebook group, and it wasreally sad because when the

(04:17):
lights came back on and we allgot to be able to be back in
that group, a lot of businessowners lost a lot of money
because they did not have anemail list and they had no way
of contacting their clientsVersus people like you and I
follow Amy Porterfield.
She said that she made about$14,000 in that 36-hour period
because she has an email listand because it didn't matter

(04:39):
that Facebook and Instagram wentdark she could still send out
an email about her program andstill make sales.
And Instagram went dark.
She could still send out anemail about her program and
still make sales.
And so for that reason alone, Ithink it's incumbent upon us to
really take it seriously, youknow.
The other thing is that we don'town not only do we not own the
social media platforms, but wecan't control them and anybody

(04:59):
that says they understand thealgorithm I'm just like, really
you are not telling the truth, because that algorithm is so
confusing and so a very smallpercentage of people that we
want to see our stuff willactually see our stuff on social
media.
A very small percentage ofpeople will actually watch us go
live.
I mean, you know so we can'tcontrol the algorithm and just

(05:23):
not as many people are going tosee our stuff.
But if I can send an email tomy list, I am literally landing
in what I call the living roomof that person.
When I land in your inbox, it'slike I've landed in your living
room.
I'm like hey, carrie, here I amRight in the middle of your
living room, but I have yourattention there, right?

Speaker 1 (05:46):
the middle of your living room, but I have your
attention there Right.
Well, and that's really a goodpoint because you know the
algorithm is always changing onthese social media platforms
it's so very well known that'salways changing.
Even just the other week I hadpeople commenting on my posts
from weeks ago, when thatdoesn't normally happen.
So you know they've changedsomething in the algorithm
that's now showing these olderposts to my network as well.

(06:08):
So you just never know whenyour message is going to hit,
and if you had something timely, like a timely post, and they
see it two weeks later andthat's already over to.
Your timeliness is over, yourwebinars over, your sale is over
.
You know they missed it, but wegot with the email, like you
said.
You know you can just dropright into their living room,
dining room or wherever they'rereading your email and get their

(06:31):
attention right then and there.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
And it's a nice captive audience that should
already know you pretty well, cause they decided to join your
email list, exactly, exactlyright, and the majority of
people, um, I was doing apresentation for the Arkansas
Podcast Festival back inNovember and it was all about
list growth and, as podcasters, even why is it important for
podcasters to pay attention tohaving an email list?
And some of the statistics I'mtrying to remember what they are

(06:57):
right now.
One of them was thatoverwhelmingly the majority of
people prefer to consume contentthat they think is important in
their email inbox versushunting and pecking for it on
social media.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
That's definitely true, because you can use the
search features of your emailand find what you're looking for
much faster.
I don't care how good Facebookor LinkedIn or whatnot searches
are, it's still know whatnotsearches are you're.
It's still hard sometimes tofind the content you want,
especially if you're in multiplegroups and, you know, have lots
and lots of friends on yourpage, you know.

(07:33):
So I can totally see how thatrelates.
Yeah, yeah, for sure, that'spretty important.
Yeah, it totally is.
And, and I will say too, andjust to reiterate too, I, us,
our company, used to sendnewsletters regularly, monthly,
like, because that was just whatyou did was about once a month,

(07:54):
not every week or every otherweek.
Back in the day, we did athree-year hiatus on sending
emails.
It was during, like, the COVIDtime period and just some staff
changes and we we just didn'thave the capacity to send the
emails.
And I learned, relearned, youknow how much how important
email marketing was, and so Iwas determined to revive my old
email list.

(08:14):
I scraped it, make sure I hadvalid emails again and started
emailing my customers again, andI believe it was 2022.
And you know what happenedwithin a week or two of me doing
that.
I got a brand new customer thathad bought from me I would say
probably seven or eight yearsago before that bought just

(08:36):
something simple off my website, but then they decided to have
consulting services with us.
So even if you've I want tojust give people permission out
there If you haven't beenemailing your list, it's okay
and just start back up again.
Just just get it started againand you might reap the benefits
right away, just like I did.

Speaker 2 (08:54):
Yeah, I totally agree .
Yeah, People think, um, youknow there's a.
That's a good question.
That I get asked sometimes isokay, I have an email on my list
in three years.
What do I say?
That I get asked sometimes isokay, I have an email on my list
in three years.
What do I say?
I'm like, don't make a big dealout of it, just send the email
and go.
If you want to, you go.
Hey, took a three-year break,it's over here, I am Good to see
you.
Let's pick up where we left off.

(09:14):
My friend.
And you don't need to give abig explanation or you could
just say nothing at all.
You could just say hey, gary, how's it going?

Speaker 1 (09:22):
That's very true, yeah.
So then, um, you know we havethis email list, but we always
are wanting to grow our emaillist and I know you're really
good at some strategies on howto grow your email list
automatically and organically,um, in the everyday background
of our business.
So how can you?
What are some advice, what aresome tips you want to give

(09:42):
around that?

Speaker 2 (09:43):
Yeah, thanks, that's what I do like to say that the
strategies I teach get the emaillist growing automatically
every day in the background ofthe business.
I'm not the list growth coachthat's going to tell you to
create yet another free leadmagnet and put it out on social
media, because chances areyou've already done that and
it's working fine, but you needmore strategies to get more list

(10:05):
growth, and that's how Ideveloped my strategies.
I was frustrated.
I was building this businessalongside my corporate job and I
had the lead magnets out thereand my list was growing and that
was fine, but it wasn't growingfast enough for me.
I am super impatient and Iwanted out of corporate
yesterday, and so I thoughtthere's gotta be other ways to
do this, and so I developed over10 strategies that I teach in

(10:27):
my program called BusinessVisibility Made Easy, and one of
the simplest strategies issomething that, once you set it
up, it'll work for you withoutyou having to think about it,
and that's your Facebookpersonal profile, or even your
Instagram personal profile oryour LinkedIn profile, whatever
social media profile you have.
Wherever you have it, we needto make sure that it is a list

(10:49):
growth funnel for you.
So the one, the, the specificstrategy I teach.
I teach Facebook.
That's my jam.
That's where our clients are.
It is still the number oneplatform, and you know people
that are sleeping on Facebookand thinking it's not worth
their time.
I would love to have aconversation with them because
it so is worth their time.
But when we max out ourFacebook personal profile, when

(11:13):
somebody can land on my Facebookpersonal profile and they know
exactly who I am, who I serve, how I serve them, they can see
every link that I have mywebsite, my Pinterest, my
YouTube, my Instagram, myLinkedIn, my podcast, my
Facebook group so that they cantake their choice of how to
connect with me.
And then my cover photoshowcases something that leads

(11:35):
to my email list.
So for me, we have twodifferent cover photos we use.
One is featuring my freeFacebook group.
Because of the way I have mymembership entry questions set
up for my free group, it growsmy list when people join.
And then, if we're notshowcasing the free group,
because I'm in launch of myeight-week group coaching
program, we'll showcase my freelive masterclass and come grab

(11:59):
your spot in the free livemasterclass, and that also grows
my list, and so the beauty ofthat is another strategy I teach
is the strategies I teach.
We layer them in the rightorder.
So we start with a foundationalpiece that's as easy as your
Facebook personal profile, andthen later on, I teach a
strategy about being visible andnetworking in Facebook groups

(12:22):
where your ideal clients arehanging out, even groups that
don't allow promotion.
I am visible in Facebook groupsevery day and people want to
join my list and here's thecoolest part I haven't had to
post about my group.
I have not.
They want to join my group, I'msorry, which makes them land on
my list, but I haven't had topost about my group.
I haven't had to say anythingabout my group.

(12:42):
I have not sent them aninvitation in the DMs to my
group.
What happens is I am in thegroup, being myself, being
visible, being kind, answeringquestions where I can answer
them, helping people withfeedback on stuff, cheering
somebody on.
People get curious about me.
They click on my personalprofile, they go to my personal
profile.

(13:03):
They see who I am, who I serve, how I serve them, and then they
see my cover photo and they'relike oh, I want to join that
free live masterclass.
Boom, they land on my emaillist.
I haven't had to do anythingother than show up in a
community, be supportive and bekind and share what I know and
share my knowledge and expertise.
It's beautiful and so,therefore, your email list

(13:28):
starts growing automaticallyevery day, just because of the
daily action you're taking bybeing visible to other people in
a Facebook group.

Speaker 1 (13:34):
I actually love that because I can so relate and
because I think you know thisstory, but not but people
listening might not Back in theearly 2000s totally dating
myself here.
Listening might not back in theearly 2000s, totally dating
myself here.
That's how I grew.
Our business is.
I was helping in an onlineforum.
Now that wasn't Facebook, right, but it was still an online
forum with my ideal clients init.
But I was just in theregenuinely helping people,

(13:55):
answering technical questionsand, you know, helping people as
best I could, you know, in anonline forum and people get
curious.
They would click on my profile, find my business webpage and
then contact us and get servicesand products from us.
So it's just a modernized way ofdoing that now because forums

(14:15):
are mostly dead.
There are a few out there thatare just so active, but forums
are mostly dead now.
But communities like Facebookgroups and other places that
have communities that are aperfect place to be that social
helper to get those you knownatural leads from you without
you know having to work yourbutt off trying to call DM or

(14:36):
trying to make friends withpeople you don't know and you
know being really weird andawkward, just like you'd feel
like you're a new kid in aclassroom and trying to you know
, trying to go into school andmake weird, you know, make
friends weirdly.
No, you're, you just go in andbe yourself and be friendly and
that just happens naturally,right?
So it's kind of similar I've,and I love how you teach that
natural method so that we're notspammy, so that you know we're

(14:59):
just being us and being ourhelpful selves, yeah, and it all
works out that way it does, itdoes.

Speaker 2 (15:05):
I have hundreds of people join my free group every
single month, which grows mylist, and half the time I
haven't had a conversation withany of them.
It's so much fun.
Because they want to join mygroup, I didn't have to ask them
, I didn't have to invite themor convince them or anything.

Speaker 1 (15:23):
It's really fun that's the perfect way to get
people in is having them justwant to be there, like you don't
want to force anybody there, you know, and that kind of puts
a bad taste in their mouth.
So I just love that how you doit so naturally.

Speaker 2 (15:36):
Thanks, thanks, but that's one of the one of the
many strategies.
Those two strategies togetherare the demonstration of how you
can grow your email list everyday, in the background of your
business.
Because people ask me all thetime.
They're like how many hours aweek do you spend on list growth
?
It must be a lot, and the firsttime I was asked that question I
was like huh it must be a lot, because then my list grows by a

(15:58):
lot every month and I am a listgrowth coach.
But then I thought about it andI'm like I really don't set
aside time each week.
You know, like I might setaside time to create some social
media content or create a newlead magnet, or do a
collaboration, a podcastinterview or something like that
.
Those are the things I focus on.
Those things all grow my list.

(16:18):
So I don't have to think aboutthe list growth, it just happens
.

Speaker 1 (16:22):
I just love that and I love how you just make it so
easy too and reachable foranybody.
Really, thanks, I appreciatethat.
So I know that you have anawesome masterclass coming up.
I attended it myself as welland can you tell us a little bit
more about that masterclassthat's coming up?

Speaker 2 (16:42):
Absolutely, I would love to.
So my free live masterclass I'mgoing to teach you four simple
strategies that you can use thatsame day to grow your list,
like I do, like Carrie does, onautopilot, in the background of
your business.
They have to do with socialmedia content.
There's some mistakes you mightbe making there.
Your Facebook personal profilewe're going to talk about that.

(17:04):
We're going to talk about yourFacebook business page yes, you
still need one, it's stillimportant and what you really
can do with it as a list growthfunnel.
And then I think the fourthstrategy is the reason why most
people show up, and it's the oneI kind of mentioned a little
bit here how to network and bevisible in Facebook groups that
don't allow promotion of anykind, because a lot of people

(17:25):
think, well, I can't promote, soI can't.
You know, there's no reason tobe in the group.
Well, no, no, no, no.
Come, listen, come to themasterclass and let me teach you
those four strategies.
I'm going to give you two freebonuses just for showing up.
Live with me.
One is my Facebook growthtoolkit, which is best practices
for Facebook, and then theother one I'm really excited

(17:45):
about.
It's called New Clients in 30Days.
It gives you some strategiesand techniques you haven't
considered before.
I mean, who doesn't want newclients in 30 days?
I mean we all do.
So you get two free bonuseswhen you show up live and then
full disclosure, because I'm allabout honesty and transparency.
After I've taught you thosestrategies, I'm going to tell
you about my list growth program.

(18:06):
It's called Business VisibilityMade Easy.
Keri is a proud alum of theprogram.
I loved having her as a studentand now she's in our alumni
mastermind.
And the Business VisibilityMade Easy program is eight weeks
of live strategy sessions withme where I answer every single
question.
I think people don't believe mewhen I say that, but I really

(18:26):
do, and I teach you my over 10strategies for list growth that
have nothing to do with paid ads, and I'm not the list growth
coach that's going to tell youoh, just create another free
lead magnet and put it out onsocial media, because chances
are you already done that.
I'm going to teach youeverything else you can do to
grow your list.

Speaker 1 (18:44):
Yeah, and I just love that and actually I'm really
looking forward to that lastbonus.
By the way, that one piqued myinterest because I'm always
looking for new strategies.
But yes, your businessvisibility made easy course was.
I can say it was the bestcourse I've ever taken in my
business life.
It ranks up there with someother really good ones too, but

(19:05):
like it really, it helped me seeeasy ways to really grow my
email list that I hadn't reallythought of.
That were, you know, justsimple to implement.
It wasn't overly complicated,you know.
When you were talking to meabout it originally, before I
joined it, I was, you know, in abit of a budget crunch then too

(19:28):
.
But my something in my gut said, no, you'd really need to do
this.
And it has so helped me grow myemail list, my customers, my
confidence in this rebuild ofour business that we've been
doing, and it's just been a gemto be in your course and in your
alumni mastermind.
So I totally will vouch foryour course.

(19:51):
I think it's well laid out andone thing that I really loved
about it and I do want tomention this is I loved how I
didn't feel overwhelmed.

Speaker 2 (20:00):
Oh, that's music to my ears.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
I really did, because you release your content every
other week as a busy businessowner, I felt like I could
consume it and still feel like Ihad the brainpower to ask you
questions, still feel like I had, you know, the brain power to
ask you questions.
And when Tracy says she answersevery question, she's not lying
, she really does and she willgo over on the calls if needed,
if people still have morequestions.

(20:23):
And we always have a greatlively Facebook group that the
students can ask questions thatthey think of before the next,
you know, live Q and A call.
So I just felt so supported init and it was honestly one of
the best courses I've ever taken.
Thank, you.

Speaker 2 (20:40):
That just makes my heart so happy.
And the fact that you did notfeel overwhelmed, that you, as a
business owner, felt like youhad time to go through the
modules.
Because you know this about me,carrie, because we've known
each other for so long, I dothings simply.
Business growth does not haveto be a struggle.
More is not more.
I want to give people what theyneed to execute with precision

(21:01):
and to start seeing that listgrowth happening.
And then, if we want to getfancy with it later, we can.
But I want to keep it simple inthe beginning so that people
can really execute on thestrategies and understand them
and the importance of them andget excited about it so their
confidence does grow.

Speaker 1 (21:18):
So another thing I really love about your course
and, honestly, your alumnimastermind is the diverse people
that are in there, the diversebusiness backgrounds that are in
there.
We all have such differentskill sets that we're just great
at supporting each other.
You know me being verytechnical.

(21:38):
I can help the people with thetechnical stuff.
The other people who are verycreative can help me with the
creative stuff.
The people who aren'toverthinkers like me I'm such an
overthinker, I will admit thatthey can help me like back up
and say wait, you'reoverthinking it, let's just look
at this and so it's just agreat set of people who really
support each other and we reallycare for each other's

(22:00):
businesses and we help eachother.
Outside of the alumnimastermind we're messaging and
messenger or getting on zoomcalls and just jumping in and
helping people whenever theyneed it.
So I just love the people youattract to your systems.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Thanks.
I love the students and thealums too, and it is a diverse
group.
You know people ask me.
They say well, it looks likethis program is for beginners.
It's not, kara, you're not abeginner.
You've been in business 20,000years.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
Over 20.

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Yeah, I mean over 20 years.
You know multi-seven figurebusiness.
You know multi seven figurebusiness.
You know we had some otherstudents in at the same time you
were that were also in thatrealm Amy Pearl, over 25 years
for her seven figure business.
But then we also have peoplethat are just starting out.
They knew who, they know whotheir ideal client is, they know
who they want to serve and howthey want to do it and they have

(22:50):
a lead magnet or two, butthat's it.
Some of them don't have awebsite, which is great.
For people like you who arelike I can help you with a
website, because you know darnwell, I am not going to help
anybody with a website.
Tech is not my love language, but I got you on the marketing
and the sales and the listgrowth.
But that's what I think.
What makes it so fun is thatyou know, yes, I am the lead

(23:11):
coach in that student programfor eight weeks and I'm in that
student-only Facebook groupanswering questions 24-7.
I mean, on weekends too, myoffice doesn't close, and then,
when we get done with the eightweeks together, everybody's
invited into the alumnimastermind that Keri is talking
about, where it truly hasbecome—I started it as a
membership, but then I realized,no, this is more of a

(23:33):
mastermind Because, yeah, I'mthe lead coach there.
But I mean we have experts oneverything.
Just like Keri said, Keri isone of our tech people, we have
a WordPress expert, we have alife coach, we have an AI expert
.
I mean it's wild and so fun andeverybody has an opinion to

(23:53):
help the other people withfeedback on whatever they're
creating.
So do you want to share withanybody?
I feel like I've talked.
I keep talking.
I'm such a talker.
Do you want to share withpeople?
I know you mentioned clarityand confidence.
Is there anything else you'venoticed that has happened as a
byproduct of being in theprogram?

Speaker 1 (24:13):
I would say my visibility has completely grown
and just exploded, especiallythis past year.
For one, whenever you get toknow these mastermind ladies and
men that are in it, they get toknow what you're great at.
So whenever they hear somebodyhaving a need that you can solve
, they're referring you left andright.

(24:34):
So I've been getting so manyreferrals just from the group
itself as well and it's justbeen great to have that snowball
effect for that that I didn'treally even expect.

Speaker 2 (24:45):
Yeah, I love that that you said that, because
that's a visibility strategythat I have used my entire life,
meaning if I can be a connectorfor one person to connect them
to another person, in thatmoment I've not increased my
income, they're not buyinganything from me, but what's

(25:05):
happened is I've increased myvisibility as the go-to person.
Oh, tracy solved my techproblem by connecting me with
Carrie Saunders, who saved myrear end.
Tracy solved my tech problem byconnecting me with Carrie
Saunders, who saved my rear end.
So if I connect Susie with youand you save Susie's life, she's
going to think of me Next timesomebody says I need a list
growth coach, she's going to belike okay, first of all, tracy's

(25:30):
the pro at that, but second ofall, she really cares about
people.
She connected me with Carrie, who saved my rear end and saved
me thousands of dollars.
Do you see how that works?
It's kind of a so.
So I love that because you'reright.
It's like when I'm in Facebookgroups and somebody says I've
got a DNS DMARC.
You know, I don't know what I'mtalking about.
I'm throwing stuff out like anissue.
I'm like, oh, carrie, I startlooking at the tech lingo.

(25:51):
I'm like, nope, just just carry, I'm going to tag carry.
Or if somebody says I have aWordPress issue, shelly Hill, uh
, I, I'm stuck in Trello,shannon Gaither you know.
Or I need help looking at myfunnel, shannon Gaither, you
know.
Um, it's just, it's amazing.
It's amazing how everybody hopsin and helps.
I love it.

Speaker 1 (26:08):
It really is, and and I love how you foster that, you
really foster that in the group, I feel like.
So I think that comes from you,so I do want to give you some
kudos there, thanks.

Speaker 2 (26:16):
Thanks, I appreciate that You're welcome.
