Compassion fuels mission. The Lord Jesus was the epitome of compassion. In Matthew 9:35-38, we see that what drew Christ’s compassion out was that the people were like a sheep without a shepherd. Let’s pray that the Lord of the harvest will send people from our church into the harvest to proclaim the greatest news ever. Let’s pray that the Lord of the harvest will grant us the same compassion for helpless sheep that he did.
