I recently listened to the Rainbow Popcorn Podcast's review of Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge. They had a theory on the queer subtext. Maybe Freddy represents Jesse's sexuality trying to break free.

That inspired my first piece of fan fic, as an erotic retelling of a key scene in the movie.
