On today’s Hello Houston, Ernie, Frank, and Celeste begin the show by sharing their thoughts on the return of Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night program last night after almost a week of being off air.

In the first hour, we’re joined by Houston native and University of Houston graduate Isaiah Martin, who discusses his run for Congress. Also, University of Houston professor Dr. Mim Rahimi tells us about significant breakthroughs in carbon capture.

Then, in the second hour, we receive an update on the Hilton Americas-Houston workers’ strike from Franchesca Caraballo, Texas Chapter President of UNITE HERE Local 23 and Hilton Americas-Houston worker Lashay Hampton, who’s participating in the strike.

Plus, we hear from Zach Dell, co-founder and CEO of Base Power Company, who tells us more about his new start-up and why its energy plan includes a backup battery. And finally, Michael Garfield, “The High-Tech Texan,” joins us to break down all the new technology released in the last few weeks.
