Have you ever considered that joy might actually be your default setting? Drawing from Dr. Wayne Dyer's wisdom, I explore the revolutionary idea that wellbeing and contentment represent our natural state—not something we need to chase or earn.

Think about children—they naturally exist in happiness until something disrupts it. Similarly, while we need specific reasons to feel angry, anxious, or sad, we don't actually need reasons to feel good. This podcast examines how this profound truth can transform your entire approach to daily living.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

  • Leave a review of this podcast.
  • Email a screenshot of your review to info@susie-moore.com

Simple as that!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
I learned from Dr Wayne Dyeryears ago that joy is our
natural state.
Joy, well-being, contentment, that is our natural state.

(00:26):
I mean, look at childrenthey're happy until they don't
get a snack, or they're happyuntil they are fighting over a
toy.
The natural state is one ofwellness, of joy, of happiness.
He also said something.
Dr Wayne Dyer said somethingalong the lines of you know, joy
is what happens when we realizehow good things really are, and

(00:48):
I just really want this to sinkin today.
Right, joy, well-being this isyour natural state.
This is who you are.
Right, we don't need a reasonto be happy, but we do need a
reason to be angry or a reasonto be sad or a reason to be
anxious.
But we do need a reason to beangry or a reason to be sad or a
reason to be anxious.
Have you ever noticed that ifyou have a day that is kind of

(01:11):
dominated by negative emotion, maybe you had some type of
meltdown when something didn'tgo your way, or maybe you had a
fight with somebody and it just, you know, there was a lot of
anger in your body.
Maybe you've dealt withsomething that's really
frustrating for a long time.
And, whatever happens, one dayit just peaks and you're full of
negative emotion.

(01:31):
Maybe it goes on for a while.
Have you noticed that at theend of that day you are wiped?
You are so tired?
This, to me, is evidence of howthis negative emotion, which we
welcome, we don't resist it.
But when it comes up,especially if it's persistent or

(01:52):
if it lasts for a long time,it's just out of place.
It is not how we are meant tofeel most of the time, and when
I look around, I see a lot ofpeople in their resistance,
feeling not so great and, as aresult, they are feeling so
tired.

(02:12):
What if you allowed this in as athought?
Joy is my natural state.
I'm meant to be happy.
I don't need a reason to feelgood.
I can wake up, have somebreaths, look around, realize
how good my life actually is.
To me, the fact that just thestate of well-being gives me
energy, gives me clarity, givesme creativity, ensures I don't

(02:34):
get into conflict with anybodyis proof that this is how it's
meant to be.
Are you remembering who youreally are, this joyful, joyful
being, this being who belongs inthis world, who's here to be
curious.
Who's here to follow theirdesires, who is here to feel
good, to manage your mind andyour emotions so that you can

(02:57):
maximize your lifetime?
You know, I think it's aterrible thing to go through
life thinking that suffering isnecessary and stress every day
is just the norm and there'snothing that we can do about it.
Where we put our focus, wherewe put our attention, what we're
believing about, how we aresupposed to feel, it matters.

(03:19):
Look, I've been the odd one outfor a long time, right, because
I've been doing personaldevelopment work for so long, I
know that feeling good is mypriority.
It's certainly one of mysuperpowers, and sometimes it
feels like I'm a bit strange.
I don't get in with thecynicism.
I don't chime into thecomplainers.

(03:39):
I'm not one to just get intothe comments and just try and
rip something or someone or anidea apart.
No, sorry, I'm over hereminding my own business,
enjoying Miami, doing my work, quietly recording this podcast
for you, working on my next plan.
My friends, if joy is yournatural state and you're holding
onto something else, can youimagine just the relief, the

(04:00):
time you'll get back, thelightness that you'll feel when
you can release a lot of yourresistance to what is what?
If you could just accept thecircumstances, accept this
moment, accept this day, acceptwhatever it is you're going
through right now as if it'sperfect, as if you've chosen it,

(04:20):
as if this is exactly whereyou're meant to be right now,
could you encounter lifecompletely differently, could
you dance with life, could youallow that joy, that feeling of
steadiness that is your naturalstate to shine through to allow
you to feel better, moreenergized and, frankly, very

(04:42):
inspiring, even if it'sconfusing to the people around
you.
Until tomorrow, my friends, somuch love and ease.
