Raw and unfiltered from behind prison walls, Larry Love speaks truth to power in this rare glimpse into the consequences of street loyalty gone wrong. Calling from USP Hazleton in West Virginia, Larry shares his unvarnished account of betrayal at the hands of those he once trusted.

With brutal honesty, Larry details how Jovane, a former associate, initially tried to resist pressure from federal authorities before eventually breaking. "When the feds came they questioned the nigga and he was trying to hold it down at first," Larry explains. But the situation changed dramatically when Jovane took the stand during Larry's trial, pointing him out and providing damaging testimony. What particularly infuriates Larry isn't just the betrayal itself, but Jovane's continued denial and attempts to rewrite history.

The betrayals don't stop with Jovane. Larry methodically lists others who cooperated with authorities - Dash, whose mother unexpectedly testified against him; Donald, Byron, and Trey from Staten Island; and even a stranger named Jerome Black who claimed to know him through church connections. The pain in Larry's voice is palpable as he recounts how he tried to help some of these same individuals stay out of trouble: "I tried to help that nigga... They did nothing but brought trauma into my life."

Now serving additional time beyond his original sentence, Larry offers a sobering look at the changing code of the streets. "I came home and it was like everything was just fucked up, like nothing was the same no more," he reflects, capturing the disillusionment of discovering that old rules no longer apply. This conversation serves as a powerful cautionary tale about trust, loyalty, and the harsh realities of life when systems of honor collapse under pressure. Listen in and decide for yourself - in a world where everyone seems willing to talk, who's really left standing?

(02:05):
And he still tried to deny it.
I was just on the phone.
I'm like yo, I'm not about togo back and forth with this
nigga about no shit like that.
Like he know what he did, everybody know what he did.
Niggas that was in thecourtroom know what he did.
You know what I'm saying.
When you take the stand on mydefense, then it would have been
like ah yeah, you did the rightthing, you helped me, you went

(02:26):
in there, you got on the standand you said what you needed to
say for me.
But you didn't do that.
You said what you needed to sayfor them people.
So you won't get charged withnothing, even though he wasn't
going to get charged withnothing at all, because he
didn't even do nothing thatnight.
He, he really tucked his tailthat night.
For real, for real.
But he just told everything.

Speaker 1 (02:44):
Yeah, so Nah, go ahead, go ahead.

Speaker 2 (02:50):
Nah, I'll say it, it was him.
It was another nigga named ReneRene.
He did some bullshit too.
Only one that stood tall was myson, chili.
That was it.
He's the only one.
When the first came to questionhim this call is from a federal
prison.
They say I don't know whaty'all talking about.
I got nothing to do with thatshit.
Like, leave me out of this, leave me alone, send me back

(03:10):
where y'all got me from.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
So another thing with Javon.

Speaker 2 (03:22):
He's saying like if he didn't take the stand or if
he didn't say what he said, hewould have went to prison
himself for perjury.
I and most of you could havegot his five years.
So what?
Hey you in the streets.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
you know what you signed up for?
Yeah, exactly that's what Isaid.
You know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (03:33):
I ain't know you in the streets, but once you go to
jail, then you want to starttelling everything that shit
don't work like that, it's notsupposed to work like that.
You get locked up, you keepyour fucking mouth shut and take
your time, but niggas is notdoing that.
I don't know what type of gamethis shit is nowadays.
You know what I'm saying.
It's like I came home and itwas like everything was just
fucked up, like nothing was thesame, no more.

(03:54):
And I found out the hard way.

Speaker 1 (03:57):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (03:58):
And I'm thinking this nigga and the whole time he
wasn't an official nigga, but Ishould have knew he wasn't an
official nigga Because we had acouple little run-ins before
that but me and him still woundup getting past that shit.
We was all right and I wasstill fucking with him and that
shit just backfired in my face, type shit yeah.

Speaker 1 (04:19):
So what about?
Nah go ahead.

Speaker 2 (04:22):
Nah, so he shouldn't have no room to be saying
anything about him not tellinghe know he told he's a rat,
that's what it is, and I'mstanding on that.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
That's what it is.
That's all people needed tohear, Because I'm telling you
he's on the net right nowpushing that.
He's cool with you.
Y'all are in good graces.
Y'all speak all the time.
He never told on you.
Y'all are in good graces.
Y'all speak all the time.
He never told on you.
Man nigga's lying, man Nigga'slying.
I don't speak to him.
I don't even know his number,so you're not jacking him at all
, even when you come home.

Speaker 2 (04:54):
Nah, I'm not jacking him.
He stays distanced.
He coming anywhere where I'm at.
He knows it's lit, it's goingup All that fighting shit he be
doing.
He know I'm not with, none ofthat.
He know I'm a different type ofanimal.
So it is what it is.
You know what I'm saying.
When we see each other, weclash, we clash.
We going to clash my way, wenot going to clash his way.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yeah, shit like that.
All right, we can move on fromJavon.
Let's talk about your situationwith the Dace nigga yeah.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
And Dace told too.
Dace made statements on aman-court attempt together on
Forest Avenue.
Dace made statements on thatshit.
I didn't know that Dace madestatements until I went to trial
and offense because we bothbeat that case but he was on
family court, I was in criminalcourt so they dropped the shit

(05:42):
out.
Once the dude refused totestify, they threw the case out
or whatever.
But when I got my discovery formy federal shit I seen Dace
mugshot.
Dace was crying in his mugshotand then he made the statement
saying Larry Love, the one thatdid it Larry Love, real name is
Pearlie Johnson.
Then he identified everybodythat was in the truck with us

(06:03):
and then I don't know how themom's got involved in the case
or whatever, but she came to myfederal trial and testified on
me.
She had nothing to do withnothing.
She don't know nothing aboutwhat's going on in the streets
or nothing yeah, I heard his momhad to testify because he was
underage probably so I waswondering like what the fuck she
doing in court.

(06:24):
I'm saying like she came inthere just going off talking
about.
A certain situation happened.
She's saying, man, they came toher house and I told her like
yeah, I did this shit, likewhatever she was doing, she was
just trying to make sure her sondidn't go to jail and put
everything on me and everybodythat know me know that.
And I came home that littlenigga whatever the fuck he was

(06:44):
involved with.
I tried to get that nigga outof trouble.
Bring the nigga with me.
That nigga brought mad troubleinto my life.
You know what I'm saying.
And then they basically sealedthe deal for me.
I tried to help him out.
They didn't do nothing but tellon me, didn't testify on me and
put me away.
So it's like for me helping out.
They basically told me fuck you.
You helped us, but fuck you,you know what.

(07:05):
I'm saying, yeah, that's how Ilook at it with Dace you know
what I'm saying Like I tried tohelp that nigga, I tried to help
his brother.
They did nothing but broughttrauma into my life.
I was chilling you know whatI'm saying and that shit just
like, but with Dace, dace notrunning his mouth.
So I on days, but Javon is likeyou, out there running your
mouth, acting like you.
Like that that's what's makingme mad.

(07:27):
Like, as long as if a nigga gorat and stay in his place and
leave the streets alone or dowhatever the fuck he do, stay
out my way cool.
But when you out there, frontlike you, front like me, and you
cool, or I'm talking to you andall that shit, like ain't none
of that happening.
You heard?
Like under no circumstances.
Like Ain't none of thathappening?

(07:47):
You heard, under nocircumstances.
It was one time Tone Bone triedto get me to speak to the nigga
.
I did that for Tone Bone andthat shit ain't work out.
I told Tone Bone, I'm nevergetting what.
I tried to talk to that dude Toget to the bottom of that shit.
Ask him why you do what you do.
He's in denial.

Speaker 1 (08:00):
So I just left it at that.
He's in 100% denial.

Speaker 2 (08:04):
He lacks any acknowledgement of the situation
between you two and he does notpump or accept the fact that he
told on you.
Yes, this call is from afederal prison.
Is it the same way or he'sacknowledging?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Nah, daish doesn't acknowledge the fact that he
told on you at all, like you'rea hidden gem.
Niggas don't know about thesituation with Larry Love.
Niggas know about his situationwith Hell Rel because he took
the stand and like that's public, but niggas don't really know
about the situation with you.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
I told the nigga Hell Rel and them niggas.
I told them niggas about him.
Them niggas still fuck withthat nigga you heard.
So If I give you a warning youstill do it, then I'm saying I
don't feel sorry for you.

Speaker 1 (08:52):
Yeah, it is what it is.
It's a fucked up situation, butyou know what?

Speaker 2 (08:55):
I'm saying If you would've took heed.
If I tell a nigga, yo, bro, that nigga's no good, leave that
nigga alone, I niggas stillgoing around creeping around
with this nigga, then the niggado you wrong.
Then I'm saying like I don'tfeel no way about that shit.
I told you.
You know what I'm saying.
Like all I can do is feel sorryfor you, but like you got what

(09:16):
you was asking, what you waslooking for, because you laid in
bed with a motherfucking snakeand got bit yeah.
Yeah, yeah, oh, you didn't knowon like a limited amount of

(09:49):
calls and shit.
So and I, I got my shit backnow, so now I could call, but I
only can make two calls a day.
But now I really just nowreally getting in tune with the
hood a little bit, but it seemedlike everybody that I was out
there with was in jail, niggasjust now starting to come home.
I'm saying so I'm just nowgetting a little I I hear about
your here and there.
You know what I'm sayingSpontaneously and shit like that
.

Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, but.

Speaker 2 (10:08):
I don't be calling checking for them niggas out
there, nothing like that, because it's like niggas already
violated.
So it's like I know when I seeniggas what it is.
You know what I'm saying.
So it's like it's nothing totalk about when it comes to
certain dudes.
But sometimes that shit mightcome out yeah, yo, such and such
.
Yeah, he did this, he did that.
I'm like yo, I've been tellingniggas the niggas is fucked up.

(10:28):
Nobody don't ever want tobelieve me.
Niggas think a nigga's justbeing hit on some miserable shit
and stuff.
But nah, that ain't even thecase.

Speaker 1 (10:39):
I'm just keeping it to that.
Is there anybody else that hadany involvement in?

Speaker 2 (10:45):
telling on you, or you know what I'm saying.
It was a nigga named Donald, another nigga named fucking
Byron, a nigga named Trey, fromlike Arlington Harbor.
He used to hang out with anigga named Lover Horse back in
the day.
It's Trey.
They call him Gooch too.
He testified on me, he took thestand on me, and the nigga

(11:09):
Byron, he took the stand too.

Speaker 1 (11:12):
And all these is Staten Island niggas too.

Speaker 2 (11:14):
Yeah, yeah, byron, he was from Stapleton.
He took the stand, his manDonald, he made statements as
soon as that shit happened.
He made a bunch of statements, and Trey made statements, and he
took the stand.
They from Staten Island.
There's another dude namedJerome Brack, or something like
that.
I don't know this nigga though, but he took a stand on me.

(11:35):
I don't know where they findthis nigga at.
I've never seen this niggathere in my life but he
testified he knew me and that heknew me through Dace.
I guess him and Dace used to goto church together, or
something like that, but I'venever seen this dude before, but
he testified on me.
Yeah, that's crazy's crazy.

Speaker 1 (11:54):
Yeah, that's what it is, though so you have to go to
like a parole board hearing, oror you just have like a set date
to come home.
No, I got.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
I got a set date as long as I stay out of trouble.
I got a set date.
I supposed to be home last yearon the max out but I caught
nine more years.
So I caught nine more yearsahead.
So I'm doing basically freetime right now.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Yeah, how you catch another bid.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I had to hit something up.
I had to hit something up in2014, and then they came and
charged me 2016, and then 2018.
I got sentences and shit.
My thing with that is the FBIrefused to prosecute me on that
shit.
So I got prosecuted by theprison.

(12:41):
They gave me two years, losteverything, and then the feds
came back like 16 months afterthat and charged me and then
gave me the nine years.
So I'm trying to get back onsome double jeopardy shit right
now because they had allopportunity to prosecute.
Yeah, I basically got a rawdeal on that shit.
You know what I'm saying?
Because my guidelines was only41 to 51 months.

(13:18):
Nick gave me like 107 monthsfor that shit.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Yeah, that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (13:22):
I got over sentences and all that shit.

Speaker 1 (13:26):
So where you at now?
You around any other StatenIsland niggas?

Speaker 2 (13:30):
Yeah, yeah, it's a little dude named Rich he that
OTA shit from Park Hill, buthe's Spanish.

You know, yeah, yeah, yeah, hefrom Port.

Speaker 2 (13:50):
