Speaker 1 (00:01):
On today's show, Kerry Grubbl's tone deaf flex Sam Guggenheimer
sets the record straight. Sophie Keasha divides opinions by sharing
a charitable moment in Bali. The future of Sarah's Day's
holiday home is up in the air, and is Sammy
Robinson's single Hello and Welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose
that the hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week.
(00:25):
I'm Kate Torbert, and we keep having to delay recording
this show because we can't get off TikTok. We are
glued to Swift Bowl. At the moment I know most recently,
Taylor has just chugged down what appears to be a beer.
See I wasn't sure because there was another photo of
her with a glass of water, which would make more
sense because she's probably dehydrated and exhausted from flying over
from Tokyo. How many people are probably wishing that they
(00:46):
waited until now to copy her outfit for the Ears
tour because she is wearing an Australian designer. She's wearing
a deon lee top. It's a black corset top. She
also has black is at Valenciagapans and they've kind of
got these weird zip offs. Remind me of a pair
of pants you used to own back in when you
were twelve. Amy, remember those cargoes that you can nip off.
They're not full zip offs, they're just cuts in her jeans.
(01:07):
I thought that Balenciaga had been canceled.
Speaker 2 (01:10):
Me too.
Speaker 1 (01:11):
I am obsessed with her football blinged out bag. It
is so cute, and I'm kind of in a cocky
mood because I don't have my ears to her outfit sorted.
So I could probably maybe replicate.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
How are you going to replicate that bag?
Speaker 1 (01:24):
We'll get some get some gemstones. I don't know, I
could get crafting. I mean we haven't done our friendship
bracelets yet. Still. Well, so the bag, it's shaped like
a football, It's got eighty seven on it. She's also
wearing an eighty seven necklace. People are predicting that there
is going to be a proposal tonight if the Chiefs win,
because they think that this is endgame, that she's wearing
his number on a necklace. You sound like Dumoir at
(01:45):
the moment. They have been predicting this. No I mean,
welld Noir have a lot of beef with Taylor's management
at the moment, So there's been a real snarky vibe
towards and I'm not liking the tone of conversation around
Taylor at the moment because I heard this discussion that
apparently her peak was the Grammys, and then she's pissed
everyone off by announcing it an industry night that she's
(02:07):
releasing a new album, and apparently she was rude to
Seline Deonn. People are absolutely clutching at straws. It's fucking
bullshit talking about clutching at straws. Have you guys seen
all of the conspiracy theories online about how everything related
to the Super Bowl ties back to Taylor's favorite number thirteen?
Oh yeah, I saw someone tried to share a video
in our group saying that Taylor Swift was a witch.
Speaker 2 (02:26):
I didn't approve it.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
I don't think I've ever been more excited for anything
in my life than this weekend when we're going to
see Taylor. This is getting me even more amp for it.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
I love that you have a wedding coming up.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Exciting thing.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
These fucking trumps are like, I'm joking, I'm joking. I'm
excited for I just think it's exciting because there's so
many things on. I have just organized to pick something
up off Facebook marketplace for my costume times it's desperate.
So well, my outfit is still there if anyone's looking
for a gold sparkly dress. Only Fans creator Carriy gribbles
(03:01):
advice to a follower has sent the Internet into a
spin before we get into it though, Okay, can you
fill us in on who Cary Gribble is well. She
is a sex worker from Adelaide, and she gave up
influencing at the end of twenty twenty two after she
was accused of body shaming. Fellow OnlyFans star Mikayla Testa
so as a refresher. During a TikTok video, Mikayla alleged
(03:23):
that a girl she met at an event called her fat.
On her Snapchat story, she added, if she thinks this
is what fat is, I'm concerned now.
Speaker 3 (03:32):
While Mikayla didn't.
Speaker 1 (03:33):
Name carry, it didn't take long for the leaks snapchat
story to surface. So in the video, a woman who
appeared to be Kerry Gribble said, Mikayla Tester is fat
in person. Now, Carrie Gribble ended up addressing the drama,
saying the only person she needed to apologize to was
Mikayla Tester. She then backtracked, saying that she didn't think
(03:53):
Mikayla was fat and also insisted she didn't think the
word fat was an insult. It did turn out the
snapchat was made while Kerry was drunk and it was
meant to be sent to her best friend, but ended
up on her story now. Last week, during an Instagram
Q and A, Kerry shared a message from a follower
that said advice for feeling lost in life. I'm twenty
three and feel like I'm so far behind for people
(04:16):
my age now. Kerry responded, writing, I'm twenty three and
I feel the same way to girlfriend. Sometimes I sit
back and think, fuck, I can have the air con
on for as long as I like, and I know
I can pay the bill for it. Then I remember
I'm doing pretty well. Josh and I own four houses
and are about to buy our fifth, and live a
pretty financially free lifestyle. And I feel like I'm behind too.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
It's just human nature.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
I think, Oh, what an absolute kicking the dick to
this girl who's written.
Speaker 2 (04:45):
In humble brag.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Oh well, I feel behind, but I've already purchased four
houses and I'm only twenty three. I know. I cannot
get over how tone deaf this response was. Can you
imagine being the person who sent this question in You're
already feeling down about your situation? Can you read the
response and feel ten times worse? For some reason, I
just got this real insight into what being Kerry Gribble's
(05:06):
friend would be like.
Speaker 2 (05:07):
Like you'd go to her with some concern.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
And she'd make you feel take she just turns into
a brag about how successful she is.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
I cannot believe these.
Speaker 1 (05:16):
Influences actually attract followers, particularly when someone is asking them
for advice, and this is how they treat their audience.
It's like you're making so much money because of your audience.
Can you imagine the response in her DMS? Though, because
I'm assuming that this would not have gone down well,
not only with the person who wrote in the question,
but everyone else who collectively rolled their eyes when they
(05:37):
read this response. Yeah, well, it did receive a lot
of backlash. Kerry ended up deleting the story, and she
shared a follow up statement on her Instagram which said,
I'm saying we all feel behind it no matter what
situation we are in. It's human nature. Everyone's doing their
best to get where they need to be. Don't stress.
Probably could have worded what I said better, but guess what,
(05:58):
No one is actually perfect, he he as much as
I want to be. If you compare yourself too much
to people online and it gets you down, unfollowed, block, delete, remove,
et cetera, et cetera, trust me, I am very grateful
for everything I have interesting advice.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
She has come out and said.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
That she is no longer an influencer, and she is
a sex worker, and she has an only fans platform,
So maybe she genuinely doesn't care about her audience, but
I feel like she still needs an audience in order
to push them over to her only fans to monetize
that content. That if you're not an influencer, then why
are you putting up question and answer boxes and giving
out advice. Yeah, I think it's more that she got
dumped by brands after she called Mikayla Testa fat like
(06:34):
White Fox Boutique came out and said that they were
no longer working with her, So maybe it's more that
she can't actually attract brands.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
I want to work with her.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
I did love Britney Saunder's response in our Facebook group
to the original post that she put up, and she said,
is this satire? This whole thing just shows how out
of touch some people are. The fact that she read
over this thought I'm going to post this, This is
going to get a good response. I'm going to help
this person out. But it also demonstrates how Britney Saunder's
on top of her game in the influencing space because
(07:02):
she just gets it. TikTok is Sam Guggenheimer has set
the records straight. She's come out swinging, denying that cheating
played a part in her breakup with AFL football at
Caleb Polter. She's also touched on those Sofa DOPHA rumors.
Speaker 2 (07:16):
Nowkay, can you.
Speaker 3 (07:17):
Give us a background on Sam and Caleb.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
Yeah, So, for those who don't follow Sam, they dated
for two and a half years before announcing their breakup
in January, and their relationship was really public. So Sam
used to share lots of content with Caleb on her TikTok,
where she has over two hundred and twenty four thousand followers.
She's also interviewed him on her podcast Just for Girls,
So naturally a lot of people were really invested in
(07:43):
their relationship and wanted to know what happened now. Sam's
comment section on TikTok was of course rife with speculation,
with a lot of people asking her what happened between
her and Caleb, which led her to reply this to
one follower. I understand people are curious, but that doesn't
mean they need to be rude and invasive. You will
get your answers on my podcast on Tuesday, and that's
(08:03):
the only platform I'll talk about it on. It's not
about copying the heat. It's about realizing I'm a real
human being and I should be able to talk on
my own terms without people jumping down my throat about
it now. Sam went on to confirm the breakup on
the episode of Just for Girls, saying that the relationship
had run its course. She also said that nothing bad
ever happened in their relationship and no one cheated. I
(08:25):
did find it interesting that she's like, I'm not talking
about it except on my podcast, which I monetize it. Well,
it's a clever move. I'd probably do the same thing,
to be honest. I did see a lot of people
saying that that was bullshit, that she's spoken so much
on her social platforms, yet she'll only address.
Speaker 2 (08:39):
Her on her podcast.
Speaker 1 (08:40):
It makes sense to address her on a podcast because
a podcast is one of those platforms where you can
talk about it in more detail. Yeah, but TikTok allows
long form videos. She could have easily chatted directly to
the camera about the breakerp Now the drama all unfolded
after an influencer watchdog account on TikTok called influencer tee
Oz shared an anonymous message they received about Sam and Caleb.
(09:01):
The unverified message said additional information on Sam and Caleb's breakup,
she was the biggest control freak with him and absolutely
cracked it whenever he would go out. She was the
most col I don't know why this cracks me up
so much, just the fact that it's from someone anonymous.
She was the most controlling girlfriend to him. Also, allegedly,
this one isn't confirmed, but it could be said that
(09:22):
Sofa hooked up with Izzy's ex boyfriend Bailey Smith and
that's why they're not friends anymore.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
As well.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
Another rumor is apparently Izzy is an alcoholic and Sofa's
mum didn't want her hanging around. I do want to
reiterate here that these are completely unsubstantiated rumors. This is
coming from an unverified source, and easy Armitage has since
commented saying it's all shit that's been made up. Yeah,
I think we wanted to read it out because it
just shows how ridiculous it is for some of these
(09:50):
pages to share these ridiculous messages. This could be anyone
with a grudge sending this crap in, so as you
were reading it out, it just reminds me of this
viral TikTok that my sister in law sent me that
it's literally labeled me at my geriatric age, fully invested
in teenage child popcorn long oh gosh, I could definitely
relate to that now. In a now deleted eight minute
(10:12):
TikTok video, Sam said it was time for her to
set the record straight because she was sick of saying silent.
Speaker 2 (10:18):
Let's throw to what she said.
Speaker 4 (10:20):
I spoke my truth. Caleb and I had a very
healthy and beautiful relationship. I have nothing but love for Caleb.
I hope that he's doing well. Caleb and I do
not talk anymore. Caleb and I did not cheat on
each other. You guys don't know when Caleb and I
broke up, and there was no cheating involved. There was
nothing bad involved.
Speaker 2 (10:40):
Now.
Speaker 1 (10:41):
Sam also shut down allegations that the couple split because
she tried to control Caleb. She denied the allegations and
said that her ex boyfriend used to go out almost
every second weekend when he wasn't playing football and she
had no issue with it. She also added that Caleb
would back her up if they were speaking. Look, I
don't think there's anything wrong with someone being concerned that
(11:03):
their AFL player boyfriend is going out every single weekend
when girls are probably throwing themselves at them, as if
anyone's going to be pleased about that. These people are
like twenty three years old as well. It did crack
me up, Amy that meme that you just said before,
because I felt so old watching this ten minute video,
like it was just hilarious, especially when you see the
guys and they look so young and they've all got mullets,
(11:25):
and you're like, these are the hot footy players out there,
because they looked a lot different when we were in
our twelve The thing is, this does not make me
believe her at all. Though oh no, I was totally
fine with him going out every weekend. The fact that
she's specified he went out every second weekend, that's comment
there made me think this was a huge issue in
their relationship. Yeah, and it's also interesting that she felt
the need to address it when clearly the message that
(11:48):
was sent in seemed like a load of bullshit, like
it almost adds smoke to the fire. Yeah. I wonder
if this was sent in either by someone who doesn't
like her, or maybe someone knew that Caleb is seeing
I think a friend. Yeah, I think it's just someone
that doesn't like her. Do we think it's sort of
got Morgan Waterhouse vibes where Caleb's friends, like maybe some
of his footy player friends are riding in trying about her.
(12:09):
I think this was definitely written by a girl.
Speaker 2 (12:12):
Now.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
The second rumor Sam shut down was in relation to
her former friend and fellow influencer Sofa Dofa. So, according
to the TikTok rumor mill, Sam hooked up with Sofa
Dovera's ex, Jordan. Let's throw to what she said.
Speaker 4 (12:25):
About that second rumor is that I hooked up with
my friend Jordan, And this is honestly laughable at this point.
Jordan and I were friends before I was friends with Sofa.
I have nothing but love and respect for sof I
don't think she's a bad person.
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Sam then went on to confirm that she is no
longer friends with Sophia. She also criticized influencer watchdog accounts
and forums like Tea Time for spreading these sorts of rumors. Now.
I found this interesting because it was only last week
where she shared a photo aimed at Tea Time. So
for those who haven't seen the photo, she uploaded a
group photo with some friends, but she was leaning into
(13:05):
Sofa Doph's X. Jordan and wrote for Tea Time. Sam
went on to confirm that she is no longer friends
with Sofia. She also criticized influencer watchdog accounts and forums
like Tea Time for spreading these sorts of rumors. Now,
it's interesting she pointed the finger at Tea Time because
it was only last week that she shared a photo
aimed at them, So for those who haven't seen the photo,
(13:28):
she uploaded a group picture with some friends. However, in
the photo, she is leaning on Sofa Doph's X, and
she wrote for tea Time, so she's clearly baiting the forum. However,
then she's telling them all not to speculate about her.
But I'm like, you're giving them stuff to speculate about.
But it shows how powerful these gossip pages are becoming,
(13:49):
the fact that the influencers themselves are actually engaging with them.
I mean, it's kind of a silly move because so
many people who follow her are going to go, well,
what's tea Time? I'm going to follow that. It adds
it makes that page grow even more powerful. This is
my pet peeve though, when people purposely put information out
there that baits others and then it's like, how fucking
dare you comment on it? Also by her saying, oh, yeah,
(14:11):
I only have love and respect for Sophia, but I'm
literally posting a picture of me coosing up to her
ex boyfriend. Why don't you explain what the friendship breakup
is about? Then?
Speaker 2 (14:19):
Or you know, there's obviously more there.
Speaker 1 (14:22):
There's a lot of rumors that the friendship breakdown happen
because Sam is close to Jordan, Sophia's X, so it
just adds fuel to the speculation. I've seen so many
influencers recently in podcasts talking about these gossip pages, and
they're like, I don't understand why people care so much
about it. Because you're an influence and you put your
whole life out online. It's people care if you can't
(14:44):
take the good but not the bad. These people are
Australian celebrities.
Speaker 2 (14:48):
Now and that's why people are interested.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
I do understand where they're coming from, because I think
that as the Internet grows and develops, there are some
pages that have a little bit more validity. So we
Jane Dumois absolutely explode in the US. However, this page
that actually caused all the drama only has five hundred followers.
It's clearly run by some teenager that has no understanding
(15:10):
of ethics or reporting. And I think it is going
to take some big defamation case against one of these
types of pages for people to kind of back off
a little bit, because at the moment the Internet is
the wild West. It seems like people can post whatever
they want and it could have really bad ramifications, not
only for the person that owns the page, but for
the influencers they're speaking about. Sarah's day says she's come
(15:34):
full circle and is ready to share a lot again.
On YouTube, The Holistic Health Princess has stuck to her word,
sharing intimate details about trying for baby number three and
her holiday renovation plans. Now so if Sarah also said
her platform feels like a safe place again, yeah, that's right.
In her most recent YouTube video, Sarah said she finally
(15:54):
feels like opening up again after a tumultuous few years.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
Here's what she said.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
I feel like my old self would have really shied
away from this conversation.
Speaker 2 (16:03):
I've been through a lot of seasons of.
Speaker 4 (16:05):
YouTube where I was like when I first started YouTube,
I was super vulnerable, super open, super raw, and then
the internet went through this.
Speaker 1 (16:12):
Really crazy phase of like being really intense, so I
pulled back a lot and I didn't share a lot.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
But anyway, I'm feeling like I had kind of compound.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
Where I want to share a lot again.
Speaker 1 (16:23):
It feels nice to like bring.
Speaker 4 (16:24):
You along on this journey and just feel really open
and vulnerable about what we're going through.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
At the moment. When I watched this for the first time,
I couldn't help but feel really agitated that she was
putting the blame on her audience. That being said, I
understand where she's coming from because during the pandemic it
was a really weird time where people were overly analyzing
influencers behavior and it sort of marked this switch and
how we felt about them.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
But I don't think that that's.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
Solely why Sarah copped a lot of criticism. There were
so many problematic things that she did and said, and
I think it's really unfair of her to blame it
all on her audience and the time it was. It's
kind of like gas lighting, Like, oh, by the way,
everyone forget about all of that problematic stuff I did
because the internet it was just crazy at that time.
Speaker 2 (17:08):
It wasn't anything idea.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
It's not taking any ownership over the problematic things that
she did or said, and makes those apologies that she
issued just seems so fake. Yeah. I do think her
devoted audience will be so excited though that she is
going back to her og days of YouTube and she's
going to share everything. But I do wonder how she
will navigate this being a mum, because I think it
(17:29):
is so different bearing at all and telling all these
intimate details about yourself and your relationship when you and
your partner are making that decision, but when your kids
don't have any agency in that decision. It becomes so
much murder, but you just never stop doing that. She's
filmed both of her children's births. We know so much
about her kids, Fox and Malachi. I just think she's
(17:50):
pumping it up because it's quite clear that over the
last two years, when you look at her social blade.
We spoke about it last week, she is hemorrhaging followers
rather than gay followers. She lost about fifteen thousand over
the last two years. Well that is huge because the
three years prior she gained six hundred. Okay, in the
past couple of days since our podcast went to air,
(18:11):
suddenly there's been a bit of a jump in her followers.
So some people are assuming maybe it's a business tactic
and perhaps she's buying them back again.
Speaker 2 (18:18):
That is unsubstantiate. That is just speculation.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
It's interesting timing considering she's shut down the Sunny app
because it looks like now she's gone, oh wait a second,
I actually have to put a lot of time and
effort into my YouTube channel again in order to be
able to be a stay at home mum, in order
to grow the channel, because as you said, the channel
has just dropped in popularity, and she would be looking
back and going, well, the time when it was most
(18:43):
popular was when I was so open.
Speaker 2 (18:45):
And real and honest in my audience.
Speaker 1 (18:46):
Would also know that she's thirty one, she's still got
a big career ahead of her course, and she needs
people to start buying back into her life.
Speaker 2 (18:54):
She does, but.
Speaker 1 (18:54):
It's interesting because she's made so many flexes in the
past that she doesn't need to do this since she
set herself up financially.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
So maybe it's a.
Speaker 1 (19:01):
Bit of an ego thing as well, because she's probably
so used to always just attracting new followers, and it's
probably a bit of a blow to her because she
has a whole team now that would be tracking her
analytics and they would have to report back and say,
you're actually losing followers. We need to change things up.
It's funny because at the start of each year she
always claims that she is going to change her content,
(19:23):
and last year she spoke about how she wanted to
do more sort of tutorial videos. However, she's finally listened
to her audience. Her audience just want to know the
nitty gritty of her life and see her log and
we've got to remember she would make a large portion
of her income from all of her deals with White
Fox Boutique and White Fox Boutique. Although they've worked with
her for a long time, they're not going to be loyal.
(19:46):
If she starts bombing and stuff doesn't keep selling, that.
Speaker 2 (19:49):
Will just get rid of her.
Speaker 1 (19:50):
A lot of her partnerships have fallen by the way side.
She had longer works with Tropeeka, who were a long
term sponsor of her. Well, watching this recent video, I
did I'd feel transported back to twenty seventeen because Sarah
was sharing very intimate details about her attempts to conceive.
Speaker 2 (20:07):
So she dived into how she's.
Speaker 1 (20:08):
Very in tune with her body and those when she's
ovulating due to ovulation pain. She opened up about her
libido and her different discharge. It was very twenty seventeen.
She also revealed the length of time that her and
her partner have been trying for kids for so she
specified that it was four months and she said for
some people that is nothing, but for her, she conceived
(20:29):
her son Malachi in their first try.
Speaker 2 (20:32):
So this is very new to rain for them.
Speaker 1 (20:34):
While that does sound very insensitive for some people because
for a lot of people. Four months is nothing to
be trying. I do think she is making a real
attempt to be more sensitive, because there were so many
more sort of disclaimers disclaimers, and she said, I'm trying
to be sensitive, and I know it's really difficult for
my followers, So I think she's trying to be better
(20:55):
in that regard. And I do find it somewhat refreshing
to actually hear about someone's journey of conceiving, because in
the past, as she said, she would have never opened
up about it. But maybe it's good that she feels
in a safe spot that she can see. I don't agree,
because I find it quite disingenuous when influencers spurred out
all of these things, but then they whack on in
the end some sort of disclaim it that doesn't actually
(21:17):
make sense to what they've just said. It's like you're
literally monetizing your pregnancy journey online. Well, I guess we'll
have to agree to disagree, because I thought she was
quite sensitive. Now, over the weekend, Sarah and Kurt made
the last minute decision to travel up to the coast
to visit their holiday house. Now, for some background, the
couple purchased the holiday house last March, with plans to
(21:37):
bulldoze the current house that's there and build a luxury
villain from scratch that will be hired out for photoshoots,
events and as an airbnb. They also plan to use
it to holiday there as well.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Now. Luckily, at the very last minute.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
They found a luxury holiday house to stay in whilst
they were up there, and it turns out the owner
of the holiday home is a Sarah's Day fan and
even had.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
A copy of her book at the accommodation.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
It was very confusing though whether this holiday was gifted,
because on Sunday night, Sarah shared a carousel of images
on her Instagram of her family at the accommodation and wrote,
to accommodate our quick trip up here, we found this
gorgeous Hampton style home to stay at and wow, I
could not recommend enough for young families. We loved it
and the boys legitimately cried when we had to leave.
(22:25):
She then proceeded to tag the account called Magnolia House
in her post and subsequent stories. She also heavily praised
the accommodation, saying she highly recommends it for young families
and thanked them for the stay. This was really over
the top because the previous night she was even plugging
the accommodation and at first I thought, oh, she's been
(22:45):
quite genuine, But then when she started to drop that
the person had her cookbook there and then started tagging
it and sharing all these photos, I was like, there's
no way that she is just doing this. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (22:56):
Well, clearly this did.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
Result in a lot of foot traffic to the account's
page because the owner said that there were so many
people on the website and she kept telling people to
be patient with trying to lock in different dates, and
she also thanked them for the overwhelming amount of support
and love she was receiving on her account. See. I
was confused also because I know that Sarah's days home
is a long way off being finished, but it was
(23:19):
almost like this person will probably be a competitor for her,
because I noticed that the house also is available for
photo shoots and all these different things.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
Either there is some.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Personal relationship going on between the pair and maybe they're
going to work together, like maybe they might get this
person to rent their property out and they're taking advice
for them, so maybe they'll offer it up if one
of their houses isn't available.
Speaker 2 (23:42):
The thing is the woman said it was a.
Speaker 1 (23:45):
Pleasure hosting Sarah and her family and that she was
feeling very grateful. So either Sarah has posted this out
of the goodness of her heart, or because there's some
new working relationship that she's drummed up with this person,
or it was gifted.
Speaker 2 (23:58):
I'm just so confused, and Sarah.
Speaker 1 (24:00):
Might have done something nice, but I just get so
annoyed when I see something that looks a lot like
an ad that is not disclosed. Also, I do notice
that influencers will now say, oh, by the way, this
is not sponsored, but there wasn't any sort of disclaimer
there either, And it just shows how important it actually
is for influencers to properly disclose their partnerships because then
(24:21):
there is so much animosity when people genuinely do share things,
because there's so much confusion.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
You're like, did you get this a free or not?
Speaker 1 (24:28):
Yeah. There also seems to be some confusion over the
future of their new holiday home, so in the same post,
Sarah wrote, as most of you know, we purchased a
pretty special piece of land last year that we will
build an equally special Mediterranean inspired holiday villa. On After
meeting with our architect last week and reviewing the most
recent design, Kurt and I just wanted to stand on
(24:50):
the property and get a feel for the proposed design
and home flow, she continued, saying, we may be driving
home now with more questions than we have answers, haha,
but I'm excited to get stuck into this new venture.
See to me this this is another baiting of a
new topic that she'll be exploring on her social media.
I did laugh at her describing it as a holiday villa.
(25:10):
It seems like they're not convinced though about their architect's design,
so I wonder what that means. Are they thinking we're
not going to be opening this up for events. Are
we going to be switching to maybe just a holiday
house that we can rent out as in AIRBNBA.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
Just sounds like rich people problems.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
I's got so many more questions the moment. Personally, do
not care about her renovation videos like she do, don't.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
I greatly do.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
The one about her office was so boring, and also
she tried to share this whole series when she moved
into a new house and they changed everything and we
never got a tour at the end of it hanging.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
It needs to be timely.
Speaker 1 (25:50):
The reason I wasn't interested in the House of Grom's
renovation is because we'd already seen it.
Speaker 2 (25:54):
We'd already seen photos, had already been there.
Speaker 1 (25:56):
If she's going to do this renovation series properly, it
needs to be done in a timely fashion when we're
all buying in.
Speaker 2 (26:02):
And I don't think it will.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
I think she gets excited at the start and then
it's never followed through properly. I think what happens is
they want to do a really fancy walkthrough and it
involves Kurt or Kurt star filming it, and it always
seems to be obviously for their business, it's probably the
last thing that they actually whereas most people would probably
just prefer to see Sarah shooting it organically and not
(26:24):
worrying about the fancy shot exactly. It appears Sammy Robinson
is single. The fashion designer has dropped hints that her
relationship with rugby player Harrison Mattel is over before we
get into it. So can you tell us about Sammy
and Harrison? Well, Sammy hard launched her relationship with Harrison
in September, sharing very loved up pictures of the couple,
(26:47):
including a personalized key chain with their photo on it
that must have gone in the bin by now. It
is likely that they started dating before July twenty twenty three,
as Sammy mentioned that he joined her at a birthdate dinner. Now,
everyone was really excited about this relationship because they wanted
to see Sammy move on from Jordan Simmy because they
(27:08):
kept getting back together. He had that whole boxing match
fighting for her. It was all very odd, but there
was some skepticism because Harrison was also a rugby player
and they don't always have the best rap no, and
it is clear that Sammy agreed to do a bunch
of Valentine's Day promotions while she was in a relationship
(27:29):
with Harrison, but it seems like she's majorly regretting it now.
She begrudgingly promoted Max Valentine's Day sale by saying this
speak of Valentine's Day so good. What we do well, however,
is that mac is run a promotion for Valentine's Day,
(27:49):
and then in another Valentine's Day promotion for Dyson, she
confirmed she doesn't have a date, saying this around the corner,
I don't personally have Valentine's Day this year. Now, it
is clear it's still very fresh as when Sammy said
that her sister Kate, who was in the video with her,
(28:09):
hugged her. Now a week ago, Sammy was also miming
to this song on TikTok. I want to answer that question, Sammy. No,
there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. I would love
to be your Gallentine Sammy Robinson.
Speaker 2 (28:28):
I'm just joking. I'm just joking.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
There's absolutely nothing wrong with her. I think the only
thing that's wrong with her is her choice in men.
Do you think all the brands that picked her to
do Valentine's Day promotions are annoyed because in the MAC
video it seemed like it was really painful for her
to even mention Valentine's Day. I would be wrapped if
I was this brand, because I'm thinking, well, there's probably
more people sending this on because they're speculating what has
(28:51):
gone on, and also people enjoy seeing people being broken
up with just putting it out there.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
No one loves seeing people so loved to heart. I do.
Speaker 1 (29:00):
And you are a professional of her to actually, you know,
actually do the ad. Yeah, exactly, absolutely pro professional at
work there.
Speaker 2 (29:07):
She is getting her jobs done.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
I despite this heart wrenching breakup, I do have to
admit I actually did buy from the sale after seeing
her video, so it did work. I am so interested
to see who Sammy moves on with, because surely she
can't make the same mistake twice in terms of she
needs to go for a different type of guy. Is
Nick still about the place, because I still have a
(29:30):
soft spot for them. I don't think we want to
go back to him. We want a new guy. Maybe
not an athlete, Yes, I think move away from the athletes.
Sophie Kasha has shared an emotional video of her embracing
a Balinese nanny after she gave her money. In the video,
the nanny, who has looked after Sophie's children in Bali
over the last six years, broke down in hysterical tears.
(29:53):
Let's throw to the video. I can.
Speaker 2 (30:17):
It's okay, I do as I want to thank my family.
I'll see you next time. When I got back, I'll
be back. So I'll be backin Oh you can call us.
Speaker 3 (30:45):
Now.
Speaker 2 (30:45):
Sophie captured the video.
Speaker 1 (30:46):
One of the greatest privileges I have as a mother
is to teach the power of giving, for it is
in giving that we truly receive. Kadik has given me
the greatest gift by showing my children unconditional love and
protection in Bali for six year. Is now, what did
you guys think about this? I just found it uncomfortable.
I do love the sentiment that she's trying to share,
(31:08):
but it doesn't feel right with me.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
To film that moment.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
It just seems like you're trying to prove how generous
you are, and to me, charity is about doing something
nice but not having to seek a reward from it,
because she's being rewarded by everyone going wow, good job,
hard back. It just a matter of one of those
TikTok parodies where there's always that rich Instagram girl and
they're like filming themselves handing out money to the homeless
(31:35):
just to get a reaction, and also to share this
woman in such a vulnerable moment. Obviously, whatever Sophie gave
her she really appreciated, and we're not trying to take
that away from her. But just put your phone down
and enjoy the moment. You don't have to share with
your followers how generous you've got. It seems like a
humble brag and this is something that you know she's
(31:57):
saying here, Oh, this is I'm teaching my daughter about,
you know, giving and privilege. Have that as a private discussion, Yeah,
obviously had the discussion with your daughter.
Speaker 2 (32:05):
We don't necessarily need to hear because.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
She says, oh, the greatest gift is giving, but you're
actually receiving yourself. You're receiving clout and also admiration because
of your generosity. I remember years ago when an influencer
had to film themselves handing out a banana to a
homeless man and they included his face in it, and
it just makes you feel sick to my stomach because
(32:27):
it's such an invasion of privacy. It would be different
if she wanted to promote this woman's services on her channel,
which I think she has done in the past. Yeah,
but yeah, and it just it made the relationship seem
really you know, I'm up here and you're down yeah,
which I didn't like. An imbalance of power, and it
kind of takes away from the charitable act as well.
Speaker 2 (32:47):
Definitely.
Speaker 1 (32:48):
Well, I think that is all we have time for today.
