65: How to Discover God’s Word for You in 2023

Welcome back to the Rooted Working Mom podcast.

Happy New Year! Not only do I love New Year’s because it is a time of new beginnings and refreshment, but my birthday is also on January 1st. We get to celebrate both the start of the new year and my birthday. I just turned 42 and I am excited about what God has in store for 2023! A heartfelt thank you to all of you who sent me birthday wishes.

For many of us, January is the month when we set resolutions, intentions, and goals, or maybe even identify dreams or our bucket list for the new year. All of these are good; however, over the years what I’ve discovered, as a busy working mom, is that they can sometimes become overwhelming. And so what God has helped me do to simplify my intention and focus for each new year is to seek Him for my one WORD for the year.
