This past weekend, we also prayed for Pastor Larry Prahl and his wife, Norma, as they celebrated 50 years of marriage. God has blessed the marriage relationship as St Paul wrote about it in Ephesians 5:21-33. May we all celebrate the relationship of love we have with Christ, our gracious Groom.

Luther said he married to please his father, rile the pope, make angels laugh, and the devil to cry. He extolled marriage as a divine and glorious institution in which to express love to one's closest neighbor. May God continue to bless all marriages with His divine presence, forgiveness, and joy.
