Look, I get it. We’re taught that quitting is bad, that persistence always pays off, that if we just hold on a little longer, things will magically work out. And sometimes, that’s true. But other times? Holding on is just another way of prolonging your own suffering.
Words can build up or tear down. They can inspire change or spark destruction. And in a world where we throw words around so easily—whether in person, online, or even in our own heads—it’s time we take a step back and ask:
Are we using our words to heal or to harm?
