Dior Homme Parfum 2025 takes some unexpected turns - including a rather significant spill that turns our recording table into an impromptu diffuser! As we analyze the notes of iris, amber, patchouli and vetiver, we contrast our experiences with community feedback and grapple with an important question: should reformulations be judged on their own merits, or forever live in the shadow of their predecessors?

Ryan (00:03):
hello everybody, welcome to the cologne podcast I'm mike,
I'm ryan.

Myke (00:07):
We're two best friends.

Ryan (00:08):
We're going on a fragrance journey, smelling fragrances,
giving you uneducated opinionstoday we are going to be
smelling a re-bottle, areformulation, yeah, of dior
homeomme Parfum 2025.

Myke (00:26):
This is the new one.
This is where all thecontroversy is happening.

Ryan (00:32):
Yeah.
We go into the store, the younglady says, hey, we got this new
one.
You got to smell, we get it.
We're about to do this episode.
But when I look it up, there'stwo different bottles.
There's one from 2014.
There's one from 2025, right,Right, yeah, or 2025.
So I went to our lovelyPatreons, because we have a few
in there that are really smartSmarter than us, if I'm being
real.

Myke (00:52):
Yeah, we kind of let all the hard work be done by them.

Ryan (00:56):
Yeah, and one of them happens to be the one the only
Medias of Clackers.
Yes, he's the only one to thattier.
There's only one slot.
He's subscribed to it.
He's a badass the mediasclackers.
His name is jonathan bleep andhe is usually our go-to guy of
finding information.
But I made this little image up, I put both these balls, I said

(01:18):
what's the deal on this?
And that's when he wrote us andhe said the original came out
in 2014, was put in a new 100 mlbottle in 2020 with the same
formula code and thenreformulated in the new bottle
for 2025 by Mason FrancisKirchhoff.
So is this Mr Mason taking thereins of this business?

(01:40):
Is he steering in a newdirection?
You think this is going to begood?
Think it's going to be bad?

Myke (01:49):
Well, first of all, his name isn't Mason.
Oh really, his name is justfrancis kirk sean.
Why?

Ryan (01:52):
is there a?

Myke (01:52):
name in front of it.
Well, mason is like for hisbrand.
Yeah, we learned that early on,actually friend of the podcast
maya, that's right, she did giveus information yeah, so his
name is francis kirk.

Ryan (02:02):
Sean and continue you just had to come out and just say I
was an idiot really quick had tomake sure that we can't afford
that.

Myke (02:12):
Yeah we can't afford to get back on odate jerks again.
Can't take too many more hits.

Ryan (02:16):
This ship is going down but yeah, that's we're gonna do.
You think it's gonna be good?
Do you think it's gonna be bad?
Because apparently it's verypolarizing right now.

Myke (02:26):
Yes, I think our best bet is to smell it with the intent
of not comparing it to anythingwe've known previously, yeah,
and smell it as its own thing, and we'll probably be better off
, because if we end up beinglike solo bignoy 2K Frank
Grantica, we might bedisappointed.

(02:48):
Just listen to what he says.
I'm listening.
Dior Colin, dior Parfum is toomasculine for today.
No room for masculine, toxicmasculinity.
Make it soft.
Let's give it to Kirkjohn.
Kirkjohn Colin.
I make it soft.
I'll take out kirk john.
Kirk john colon.
I make it soft.
I'll take out leather.
I'll take out ood.

(03:09):
I'll add soy.
We'll make dior soy boy parfum.
Wow, someone's salty that is.
I mean the comment section isfull of people just going like
dior's dead.
Time to buy backup bottles ofthe original.

(03:31):
Damn, I mean, it's a house onfire over there have we smelled
the 2014 original?
we've smelled, I know, intensedior.
What did we smell?
2020 or something like that.
The parfum, the one that gotdiscontinued really quickly.
Yes, and I remember smellingthat one and going I liked it.
I wrote a little love letter toit.
You did, yeah, I loved it.

Ryan (03:53):
So I'm hoping that I love this as well, well, I am too,
but before we do, we got to giveour one night stand review of
the bottle we just had to shipaway and were really sad about.
Oh yeah, just because it wasexpensive, we didn't pay for it.
You got it in Milan Zerjoff'sPurple Lachinto.

Myke (04:10):
Hit the music Todd.

Ryan (04:13):
Yeah, one Night Stand Review.
Well, mike, after going toMilan, staying a night there,
yeah, a few nights.
Then coming back with saidbottle of Purple Lachento by
Zerjoff which, by the way caveathere there was a cool little
like.
When you open the box, therewas like this cool pattern in

(04:36):
there through this clear sleeve, and you were like, oh, you know
that pattern we were seeing, like there's a scarf in there.
Yeah, you pop it off and yougot a pretty little scarf to
wear.

Myke (04:49):
And it was cool.
But all that aside, what do youthink about purple agento?
I really, really like it.
I think that it is morefeminine.
Yes, very much so, but I dolove the smell of it.
I'd love to smell it on anylady passing by.
It's a beautiful fragrance, wayoverpriced, definitely agree
with that I.
But it's loud, dry down is verybeautiful.
But we did have a friend smellit and they said, oh, this

(05:11):
smells like carpet cleaner, likeFebreze carpet cleaner.
Oh yeah, and it kind of halfwayruined it for me.
Yeah, it kind of like got in myhead after that Still a
beautiful smell, but I startedattributing like a cheapness to
it.
Yeah, and that doesn't seemfair.

Ryan (05:25):
Let me back that up First.
I agree with you.
Are you saying it's a skipsample buy?

Myke (05:30):
I think it's a sample, and if you're freaking wealthy then
it might be a buy, but otherthan that, I just can't ever say
buy on a price like that.
I just can't say it.

Ryan (05:41):
It had to be ungodly.
Yeah, To back up your sentimentthere.
I agree with everything youjust said.
I'll just leave it at that.
It's a sample, but I recentlygot some hand washing soap from
Bed Bath Beyond Okay, Somerandom stuff and I picked one.
For some reason, every time Iwash my hands in it now it
smells like the Bissell carpetcleaner stuff, and now that's

(06:05):
all I can associate with.
So I feel like I'm likecleaning a dirty house or
something with my hand.
It just it's gross now.
Now my hands smell dirty iswhat I'm trying to say
interesting, even though itsmells clean yeah, because still
I attribute that smell tocleaning something dirty, so it
just feels gross now.
So I was like the first time Iwas like eating a sandwich.
I was like what the fuck I was?

Myke (06:22):
like I smell like a clean, dirty sandwich but I get what
you're saying.

Ryan (06:27):
Somebody attributes something like you know, this
one was kind of a house cleanerthing, a carpet cleaner, and you
go damn.

Myke (06:31):
It kind of takes the power away of like its elegance in a
way yeah, it's like one of thosethings where you're like
staring at a picture, but for acertain time and they're like,
if you look really hard, you seethe rabbit, and then all you
see is the rabbit after that youknow what I mean.

Ryan (06:45):
Those like eye illusion.
Yeah yeah, I was like Willemfrom freaking Mallrats.
Like I got a lunch, I've got adrink.
I'm going to stay here all dayuntil I see this goddamn
sailboat, but I can never see it.
Oh yeah, I can see like the 3Deffect thing going on, I can
never make out the image.

Myke (07:01):
Oh, that one's, yeah, where you have to like cross
your eyes and slowly bring themback to normal.

Ryan (07:05):
Yeah, yeah okay, so it's a sample to a possible buy if you
like it, but we're ready to geton to this.
I want to see if there's somecontroversy here, because
there's some information I'mgonna drop on you.

Myke (07:18):
That's just gonna blow your mind all right, let's do it
you first, buddy.
Okay, I'm a little worriedabout the way we're gonna do
this, because it's not in anatomizer.
I feel like that does kind ofadd something to it.
So I think it like distributesthe properties of it a little
and it aerates it a little bitas well, which is, I mean, a lot
of bit, really a lot of bit.

(07:41):
It's a little dauber here yeah,oh shit, oh, my god, freaking
idiot, fuck, you just spilt thewhole goddamn thing.
Well, goddamn it smells goodyeah that's all you're gonna
smell every episode from nowtill we fucking cancel this show

(08:03):
.
Dude, I'm I'm going to make aquick little video here.

Ryan (08:05):
Hold on real quick, guys.
I am a goddamn moron, am I nota goddamn moron?
He's a goddamn moron.
Fuck Yep.

Myke (08:21):
But it do be smelling good .
It does smell good, smellsreally good.
I kind of get that sort ofleathery.

Ryan (08:28):
You want to dash your arm in this or something Like rub it
in.
I guess I'm getting some.

Myke (08:34):
Basically got a tiny pond of Dior Homme.

Ryan (08:38):
I fucking spilled the shit out of this.
God damn it.

Myke (08:44):
I'm literally.
He spilled about five mil of itall over the table.
Fuck, hey, now I mean I cansmell it everywhere now, but
it's got this like leatherysuede, it's that softness,
probably that iris pokingthrough.
You know how weird geniuses andcan smell every note.

Ryan (09:03):
Oh yeah, Hold on.

Myke (09:07):
Now he's daubing it up with his shirt.
This is fucking.
Okay, we got to start doingvideo episodes.
This is a spectacle.

Ryan (09:18):
Sorry, I wish we were just putting on, but I'm not.
I cannot believe.
I just spilled the wholegoddamn thing, dude.
Yeah, good job, all right.

Myke (09:30):
Yeah, this smells pretty good, doesn't it?
Yeah, what are you picking up,sweet?

Ryan (09:34):
Yeah, sweet, maybe a little woodsy here, possibly
Very faint though, but it's verysweet, feels very 90s for some
reason, really, yeah, yeah feelsa little old school or
something.
I think this is nice.
I'm trying to think what theymeant by, you know like it
removes some masculine, becauseI kind of smell the masculinity

(09:56):
in this.
It's like a 90s I don't want tosay fresher, like you know,
like citrus 90s had, like thiskind of I don't know how to
explain it what's the?
All the fragrances kind of hada little.
Hmm, it's not necessarilycitrus, what's the best word for
it, but it's fresh.
It's almost a little showerjelly, a little bit of woodsy
kind of, a little bit of mixtureof both yeah, it's almost like

(10:18):
they were like, can we make thismore modern smelling?

Myke (10:21):
yeah, and guys, you know we're late to the party with
fragrances so we've only been atit, you know, working on now
four years I guess.
But my thought when it comes todior home, that line, is that
it is a bit androgynous, it is abit unisex, okay.
So I was kind of shocked to getthe salty review where they

(10:44):
were saying it's overlymasculine, because I felt like
there was, remember, that kindof makeup-y, lipstick-y type
vibe to it and to me.
The parfum that we smell now Idon't know that we've smelled
the original to our own parfum, but the newer iteration that we
smelled right at the start ofthis had a salty sort of rich,

(11:06):
buttery vibe to it that I reallyliked, okay.
So I don't know that this isjust a great departure from that
.

Ryan (11:14):
It does still smell like it's in the line in the family
of those fragrances, I agree itsmells good and, honestly, let
me kind of give you the notes, for there's not a lot.
This is going to bug everybody.
But top notes are iris.
I guess I kind of get thatbecause I feel like that's what
all of them kind of have, right.
Yeah, that kind of makeup-y,lipstick-y, and middle notes is

(11:34):
amber and then base notes arepatchouli and vetiver.
So I guess that could be kindof the woodsy aspect I'm kind of
getting.

Myke (11:41):
You know the skin and the card are so different right now.
Okay, on the card I do get avery woodsy.
There's more to it.
Yeah, it's a little less sweet.
On my skin it's very sweet, hmm, but it is a very rich smell.
Yeah, it's like a very decadent, thick sort of a smell.

Ryan (11:59):
Sophisticated maybe, yeah, I would say that Does.
Sophisticated maybe yeah, Iwould say that Does it make you
think it's expensive.

Myke (12:05):
I guarantee you it's expensive.

Ryan (12:07):
Well, let me tell you the price and popularity.
Okay, the price for this badboy, for 2.5 ounces 180
buckaroonies Shit.
So you probably spilled 20bucks right there.
I literally probably spilled 20bucks.

(12:27):
You ready for the popularity onthis bad boy With over?
And this is wild, because thisis a new fragrance.
We never see a lot of votes fora new fragrance.
This has a lot of votes Almost2,000 votes, damn.
And this is pretty new.
Yeah, so that should be anindicator.
Are they like fireb?
It has a hardcore rating of a2.66 out of 5.

Myke (12:50):
It just goes to show you the majority of the community
online is pretty damn negative.
They're toxic for no reason.
Oh yeah, they're just showingup to take shots.

Ryan (13:04):
But I mean to kind of play devil's advocate here.
Some of them may love theoriginal Sure, and so that's
what they have in their memory, and if somebody's changing up
something they love, it probablypiss you off, yeah.

Myke (13:15):
What companies should probably do is just rename the
damn thing yeah.

Ryan (13:20):
I kind of agree, because if Lunarosa Carbon came out
tomorrow, yeah, and it wasLunarosa Elixir or something
like that.

Myke (13:27):
Yeah.

Ryan (13:28):
Yeah, and it was, you know , lunarosa Elixir or something
like that.
Yeah, yeah, and they changedeverything about it.
You probably would not be a fan.

Myke (13:32):
I'd be crushed.
Yeah, yeah, I need to thinkmore like that.
You're right, I need to be moreempathetic.

Ryan (13:38):
I mean, I'm just, I don't think they're all bad, but then
I think some people don't giveit a chance.
I'm probably there's probablyit, just because I hate that
it's reformulation, right.

Myke (13:56):
Yeah, never even smelled, it just came out to say, man,
fuck these guys, but for me itsmells really good, but I, you
know, I don't have it to compareto the other ones.
I've never smelled the otherone right and we weren't like
huge fanboys of it.
Yeah, I think that is the issue.
Yeah, I really gotta.
Let me just, you know, putmyself in that lunarosacarbons
seat, because I mean, that mightbe, if I had to nail down a
signature scent, if you justcould only have one fragrance,
one fragrance, I might go withthat, which is wild and it says

(14:19):
a lot about me, but it is whatit is.
I can't imagine if they go, hey, we're coming out with not only
and here's another thing notonly is it not a flanker, it's
the replacement of.
It means everything movingforward.
Yeah, is this from now on?
Yeah, so it wouldn't belunarosa carbon elixir, it would
literally just be lunarosacarbon.

(14:41):
Yeah, the newest version.
And if it was a great departure, yeah, I would be absolutely.
Would you be flaming the forums?
Yeah, I probably would look atme, I've come full circle now.
I mean I would be absolutely.
Would you be flaming the forums?
Yeah, I probably would look atme, I've come full circle now.
I mean I gotta be honest withyou guys, though, yeah, that's
probably where I'd be.
I'd be fucking pissed.
I'd create a platform out ofthis.
You know, podcast.
I'd be out there.

(15:02):
I'd be putting my face on ittoo, though I would be proud to
admit.
Yeah, you guys, if you're outthere, you can't be doing the
oday jerks thing.
Yeah, you know, hiding behind aalias, taking shots.
Be a man, you're gonna say thedamn thing.

Ryan (15:18):
Say the damn thing and own up robes coming for you, god,
are you gonna mention him everyepisode?
Now?
I might have to.
This is gonna be the fuck yeahv shred.

Myke (15:32):
Seriously, fuck v shred.

Ryan (15:34):
Yeah, it'll be that, but robes yeah yeah, I mean, for me,
man, this smells really good.
It reminds me kind of a 90svibe.
Maybe, you know, maybe we'regonna see something happen in
the industry.
Maybe they're gonna kind youknow, it's kind of like, you
know, in the whatever fucking70s kind of got popular for a
bit you know what I'm sayingLike people wearing bell bottoms
or something.

(15:55):
Okay, maybe that's going tohappen in the furniture industry
, where it's like maybe they'regoing to kind of rehash, come
back around.
Yeah, I do think we've had toomuch of like safe stuff lately
or just like kind of the sameoffice, whatever the one you
know, or just like kind of thesame office, whatever the one,
millions, yeah, renamed athousand different names exactly
.
So maybe they're going to dothat.
I'd be open for it, I'd behappy, yeah.

Myke (16:15):
But we've had multiple people say like now gucci guilty
has done a pretty fancyschmancy niche quality type
thing.
Yeah, we could see some daring, risky sort of chances taken by
the fragrance houses.

Ryan (16:32):
Yeah, and you know, I'm going to go ahead and say this
person what they thought aboutit, because they have helped us
out so much.
We just mentioned the beginning, but again, if you're not a
patron, go be one, because thereis a lot of people in there.

Myke (16:44):
Yeah, and you'd be able to interact with the king, king
Clacker, himself.

Ryan (16:50):
Mr Jonathan Bleep, and this is what he had to say, and
not to cloud your judgment oranything.
But the new one has terriblelaughing emoji.

Myke (16:59):
Whoops.
Well, it's a good thing wesmelled it before we read that.

Ryan (17:02):
Yeah.
And then Wildcard commentedunderneath that and said I've
only put my nose to the new one.
I realized Iris isn't for me,but I thought it was okay, you
know.

Myke (17:13):
Yeah, I could see how this could be divisive.
I smell it and maybe if I wasreally into the other ones no, I
mean, I really did like thatDior Parfum.
God, I think it was 2020 wasthe one, I think it was 2020.

Ryan (17:27):
Yeah, I would say, from what I remember that one, I
really liked it.
It was probably better thanthis honestly, yeah, it was more
woodsy.

Myke (17:34):
You didn't like it as much as you liked.
Dior Homme Intense.

Ryan (17:37):
Yeah, I do love that one the most because it's like
lipstick in a makeup bag.
It's kind of sexy yeah.

Myke (17:44):
Hmm, I mean, look, if I was going to put my opinion out
there and Jonathan Bleep'sopinion out there and then try
to tell the listeners who theyshould go with, I would 100% of
the time, 10 out of 10 times, say you better trust King Meaty
Clackers over me.
Every single time I willpreface by saying that but I

(18:07):
don't hate it, I don't thinkit's terrible.
I'm not saying thatJonathanathan's wrong.
I'm more than likely.

Ryan (18:14):
I'm probably wrong, but it's not bad well, who would be
wearing a fragrance like this?
Because we both kind of agreedit's kind of classy and rich and
sophisticated smelling.
Who's that fit?
Who would wear this us, us fouryears ago?

Myke (18:28):
us four years ago we'd be wearing this.
Okay, we'd go in and they'dsell us that it's a parfum first
and they'd sell us that it'snew.
They tell us some notes, yeah, they'd be like I got the iris
and the amber and the whateverand then it'd be some pretty
girl that says it and then she'dgo go like I absolutely love it

(18:49):
.
You know, I beg my boyfriend towear it, yeah.

Ryan (18:52):
And then I'd be like, hey, dude, we should probably get
this, we'll take two.
I think it's that Dude.
I've literally been at thecounter in recent months and
there'll be a guy shopping, youknow, trying to like.
He's probably got a bag full ofclothes he's done bought Right.
Shopping, you know, trying tolike.
He's probably got a bag full ofclothes he's done bought Right,
trying to get dressed up, andhe'll be like what do you think

(19:12):
smells good?

Myke (19:12):
You know asking the lady.
Of course, every time we dothat, we do it too.
Every time I sit down at arestaurant, I'm like what do you
like?
What's your favorite dish here?

Ryan (19:20):
You asked the waitress that oh yeah, I just next fat
guy like me at our table and belike hey, would you get over
there, hoss?

Myke (19:28):
yeah, I mean, sometimes we order and then we look over and
we see someone else's comingout and we go should have got
the onion fritters.

Ryan (19:35):
Speaking of fat guys, man, that one time we were in our
favorite chinese restaurant, ohyeah, and we were literally
going ham about the uh, this iswhat made us start the Eat the
Menu podcast.

Myke (19:50):
If you're a Patreon, there's a couple episodes up on
that.

Ryan (19:54):
But we're just talking about different Crab Ragoons and
we turned because we felt likesomebody just staring at us.

Myke (19:59):
Yeah, you know that feeling you get like somebody's
watching you.

Ryan (20:02):
Dude, there's this older lady with her freaking jaw like
gape looking at us and just likein awe she goes.
I don't know what you boys aretalking about, but god damn that
sounds good, I'd eat.
Anything y'all talked about iswhat she said yeah, she said one
of those I want to say was mine.

Myke (20:19):
Yeah, she said god damn, I'm hungry for some crab right
now oh shit skip it, sample itor buy it.
What are you gonna do, ryan?

Ryan (20:35):
I don't know.
Okay, because part of this isit's not bad but it's not
blowing my mind.
But then it right, as I'masking, that I'm smelling the
tester and it's kind of changingup a little bit, kind of
getting something neat going on.

Myke (20:54):
This is exactly why we do the one-night stand review.
Yeah, because there's beenplenty of times where like, does
it, you know, because you'llget those fragrances that don't
really do much, especiallydesigner-wise, yeah, and we kind
of go is it just wasting fiveminutes of an episode doing the
one night stand review?
But then there's the oddoccasion that we really need it

(21:16):
in clutch to communicatesomething like whoa, guys, hold
on, it did something different.
Yeah, we were there thinkingone thing.
We left thinking something else.
We came back thinking anotherthing.
Yeah, you know, we took ashower together freaking heat
got going different smell.
Yeah, it smelled great on him,but better on me dude, it does

(21:37):
smell good to me, it really does.

Ryan (21:39):
I think it would have helped, like you said, to have
some type of atomizer.
We need to just have somethinglike on the side here when we
get I don't want to say we gotfucked over, it's all they had,
and god bless her forgiveness.
Yeah.
But whenever we're givensomething like this, we need to
have like an atomizer that hasnever had anything in it.
We can just be like, right, yeah, just buy a box of decants.
Yeah, but I'm gonna tell youguys, I personally do like it

(22:02):
now, right now.
My opinion is this is a strongsample, so you can go to any
department store and sample.
This is easy, that's free.
Go sample it.
Yeah, depending on where thisgoes, this is either going to be
just a sample or a buy, but itsmells good.
It's definitely not a skip, itsmells good, yeah.

Myke (22:20):
I'm with you on that.
However, could it be that I'vejust traveled so much of the
road now that my opinions and mycuriosities are harder to wet?
Yeah, because I remembersmelling the previous and being
well excited about it.

(22:41):
And this I'm like, yeah, thisis pretty good, but I don't have
that same excitement and joy.
But again, is it?
Is it just that now we'reshaded?
Yeah, is it how?
We've gone too far?
We just can't come back from it.
You just, you know, it's like aguy who's seen war.
He comes back and you can haveshells flying out of a gun
hitting you in the face andyou're just unfazed by it.

(23:02):
Guy, can we tell a little bit?
Yeah, I think we can so aclient of ours.
They do some gun smithing if youwill right, yeah, they like
manufacture custom firearms forpeople and the guy could not him
and another gentleman workswith him could not be.

Ryan (23:19):
They're the nicest guys you'll ever meet, nicest guys.
They make us look like freakingassholes and so regularly.
But they invite us outyesterday to go.
They're like we want you guysshooting because they found out
we don't.

Myke (23:31):
We don't really shoot guns yeah, I was like I shot a bb
gun a year ago.

Ryan (23:37):
That's all that's us, you know so we get out there, we get
to shoot 44 magnum a sig legionafrican.

Myke (23:45):
Yeah, we're shooting handguns like giant ass
revolvers.

Ryan (23:50):
We're shooting different like rifles that you've seen in
like I don't know the guy richiefilms and shit freaking some
guns with freaking suppressors, some not yeah rifles that
seriously were fucking insaneand with optics on them to where
we're like literally hittingtargets from like 50 yards or

(24:11):
more out like no big deal.
I was further than that, dude, like like we were pros.
They were so well calibratedyeah that's, that's the scary
part.
So mike's firing this gun andthese shells are ejecting out
yeah, I'm shooting.

Myke (24:27):
First of all, I'm shooting this rifle that, like, is
literally so heavy.
By the time I'm done justhitting my targets, I go through
one magazine, my arm is, it'slike, trembling because of the
fatigue of this thing and theseguys are just unfazed, like.
These guys are the main guy.
We can't say everything.

(24:47):
But he's well high up.
He'd make rambo look like a youknow, a kindergarten teacher.
You know what I mean?
Kindergarten cop.
Yeah, exactly, he's fucking badto the bone, this guy, yeah.
And so we're shooting thesethings and the things, the guns
literally smoking.
It's getting so hot.
And he's like, yeah, you stillpump a few rounds through it,
right?
I'm like, are you sure thisthing's not going to explode on

(25:10):
me?
He's like, yeah, that's fine.
So I'm shooting and thisthing's smoking.
It's getting so hot and it'skicking out these shells of
these.

Ryan (25:17):
Yeah, and I'm behind Mike, and I guess we can call him an
instructor in this case.
He's to the right of you andkind of back.
These shells hit him in theface and he literally doesn't
even flinch, doesn't even closehis eyes.
He's just casually watching youcontinue shooting and a couple
of them were just hitting hisface, kind of moves out of the

(25:38):
way gently after like two orthree, unfazed, and then later
you're shooting and like I guessthe shells were arcing up high
enough and he was catching thesehot shells.
Yeah, he caught like four orfive of them and he was holding
them for a good bit and when hehanded them to me I couldn't
hold on to them for a second.
They were so goddamn hot.
Yeah, this guy, he's a fuckinghoss, he's a bear of a fucking

(26:00):
man and he's one of those guys.

Myke (26:03):
He's a real man guys.
He's a real man because he'slike could be so intimidating,
it's going to sound highlyerotic, but it's not.
He could be so intimidating, but he's.
You just feel safe around him,you feel comfortable around him.

Ryan (26:20):
Yeah, Mark's not lying.
This guy's like a real man.
We're like coming around thecorner.
Hey, we just made some mac andcheese.

Myke (26:27):
Yeah, exactly, I'm like I just want to call him dad at the
end of the day.
I just look up to this guy man.
He's one hell of a dude Again,and it's not because he's out
there playing John Wick.
The guy's legitimately such anice guy and extremely talented
on what he's building, for sureit's mind-blowing yeah it's, we

(26:49):
were just blown away, but yeah,we had a good time, which, by
the way, is not really somethingreiner, I feel like, is our
vibe?
That's not.
We never go like, hey man, youwant to go fucking shoot some
guns?
Boy, we're not those type, youknow.
But after yesterday I was likeI might be that type.

(27:11):
It was kind of fun, man.

Ryan (27:21):
My favorite part was Mike is in a stance and he's got this
handgun that has like a lasersight on it and he's shooting
and I'm watching him.
He looks like he's aiming rightat the target.
He couldn't be a mere 20 feetfrom it, yeah, and it's like,
and every last one of themfucking misses.

Myke (27:35):
I look up and I go am I missing that thing?
And the guy's like yeah.
So just so you guys know mike'sactually more dangerous because
he doesn't know how to aim.
Well, that's the thing is.
You have these like optics inthere.
It's like they call them a reddot, you know, and anywhere that
red dot is on it and it's gonnahit it.

(27:58):
Basically, and I could not evensee the red dot Whenever I went
back to just using the regulariron sights that's on the gun
you know the little notches onthe top of the gun I was fine,
yeah, but I'm like trying to usespace age technology.
I'm like I don't even see a dotin there.
Is there a dot?
You know, I couldn't get it.

Ryan (28:29):
I'll tell you my favorite part if you're trying to make me
look like a jackass.

Myke (28:31):
Yeah, mine's even better.
So we get it's like a six shotrevolver and this thing is nasty
.
Yeah, it's like some dirty, hairy type shit, yeah.
And we're standing out thereand they have this.
Um, they have, it's a steeltarget, yeah.
And then in the middle of thetarget there's another steel
plate that when you hit it itkicks back to let you know you
got like a quote-unquote killshot.
Yeah, it sounds like you knowthe old cartoons guy has a spit
tune you know.

(28:55):
So I go and then ryan goes andhe's shooting this gun.
I'm serious, seriously, likejust looking at it could kill
you.
And ryan goes and he's shootingthis gun.
I'm serious, seriously, likejust looking at it could kill
you and ryan shoots, and shoots, and shoots.
And then he kind of looks back,he's like that was all of them,
right, guys?
And the guy just goes I guesswe'll find out in a second.
And then ryan's like oh yeah, Iguess I'll give it one more,

(29:18):
and shoots.
And it's still got a fuckingbullet.

Ryan (29:20):
And I'm I was like this is how people kill people, dude, a
hundred can't count to six and,by the way, I was aiming at the
target, just in case there wasan extra live well, yeah, there
was?
I was like fuck, I like in myhead thought I counted six.

Myke (29:34):
Yeah, it's gun safety as finest.
This is what we're talkingabout, you know, because that's
what these guys are.
I mean, these guys areliterally military men, so
they're teaching us the propereverything.
Yeah, you know they're.
It's like we do three pointinspections and you know it's
make sure it's empty ninedifferent ways before we hand it

(29:54):
to the next person.
And we even have this littleyellow plastic gun you took home
Well, you gave it to me.
Yellow plastic gun you tookhome well, you gave it to me.
But even that, he was like Iwas trying to aim and he was
like and you treat that like areal gun.
He was making me face theopposite direction while I was
learning my, my holding on thisplastic gun, because that's how

(30:16):
serious they are about it.
Yeah, they're like if you'reholding a gun, this is not
child's play.
Yeah, they are not kidding,it's crazy man.

Ryan (30:23):
So yeah, mike's been walking around all day with this
yellow gun and like pretendingto aim with it yeah, I mean,
it's why I just the way you holdit is different than you
thought.

Myke (30:34):
It's not like the movies where you're all holding it
sideways with one hand and youknow, you know, like feeling
cool, like you know, this islike a very serious, precise
thing it's badass man.

Ryan (30:45):
We're gonna do it again, for sure yeah, I think it's.

Myke (30:48):
It's really anything.
When somebody sets something upin front of you and it takes
skill, yeah, and then you findwhere you are, for whatever
reason I think there's more guysand gals you immediately go I
need to get good at this.
You know, like I'm here and Icould be here, and then it
immediately starts like that.

(31:08):
You know that treadmill of ohyeah, I've got this new thing.
I got to get good at.

Ryan (31:15):
Oh yeah, you already look like you're ready to buy you a
Sig Legion over here.

Myke (31:20):
I just something about it.
They're like, yeah, when youhold the right gun, you just
know like, oh, this is my gunand I got it and I was like I
love this gun and the other guywas like yeah, I knew he was
pretentious, He'd want this one.
Yeah, I was like what that'slike that with guitars too,

(31:44):
though.

Ryan (31:44):
You play it, and then there's just one that just like
it just feels right.
And until next time, spray itup y'all.
It just feels right.
