A huge legal battle is being waged in federal court over a law in Texas that's designed to deter people from illegally entering the United States. Normally, laws related to immigration fall under the authority of the federal government. Texas, however, claims this is a special situation, because it's being "invaded," and under the Constitution, states have the authority to defend themselves when an invasion is occurring.
