Many liberal political pundits and politicians like to accuse Republicans like Donald Trump of being a "far-right fascist." Some have even claimed he has a sympathetic view of Nazism, a far-right ideology in Europe. The truth, however, is that conservatives and members of the "far right" in the United States are completely different than the "far right" in Europe. And there are really good historical reasons that explain why.
