This is a special bonus episode of the podcast as Thinking of Oscar are teaming up with start-up builder and funder, Founder’s Factory and healthcare experts Humant Consulting to host the recently announced Children’s Health Impact Accelerator, which starts this summer.  On this bonus episode we talk with Olivia Brooks and Athene St John from Founders Factory on first why it’s so important to focus on children’s health (just in case anyone listening to this podcast didn’t know by now). And second what the Children’s Health Impact Accelerator is and what is on offer if someone was interested in taking part.

The Children’s Health Impact Accelerator is a 10-week non-equity startup programme based in Liverpool and London, funded by Innovate UK in partnership with Humant, Thinking of Oscar and Founders Factory.

The programme is aimed at spinouts, start-ups, and entrepreneurial minded academics. It supports ambitious founders to develop and test their innovative solutions by providing expert support, mentorship and connection into key healthcare communities.

Founders will have access to vital resources to help develop and test their innovative solutions for children, including functional support across product, growth and fundraising, access to mentors and expertise across health and life science, as well as an established network of hospitals, such as Alder Hey Children’s Hospital.

Applications for the Children’s Health Impact Bootcamp are still open. If you’re an early stage founder innovating in the children’s health space, this could be the perfect opportunity to progress your idea and take it to scale.
