In this bittersweet episode, we talk about breaking up with the podcast. Hien shares about the original goal of the podcast to showcase people who were doing things differently. We go on to talk about how much bullshit the wellness industry is under capitalism and how it feels like we’re a drop in the ocean. Zahra talks about the attention economy and how a lot of well-intentional wellness influencers end up playing within the system. Furthermore, we discuss how wellness is presented as another thing you can consume. Lastly, we passionately share about what we are wanting to do moving forward which includes getting involved with mutual aid and asking ourselves the guiding questions: How can you get away from capitalism? And how can you get a little bit closer to community? Most importantly, we encourage our listeners to know that they are smart enough to do the right thing during the crises we are living through.
