We've all heard the sayingbelieve in yourself.
But what does it really mean?
How can belief transform from amere thought into a powerful

(00:23):
force that shapes our reality?
In today's episode, we'llexplore the science behind
belief, uncover the commonpitfalls that hinder our belief
system and, most importantly, provide some practical
strategies to harness the powerof belief and create the success
you desire.
So if you're ready, let's beginsuccess you desire.

(00:44):
So if you're ready, let's begin.
Hello and welcome to anotherepisode of Transformative Living
Radio.
I'm Andre Flax, your host andcertified life and leadership
coach.

(01:08):
Belief is said to be thefoundation of any achievable
success.
But what does belief reallymean?
Well, let's begin by examiningthe true definition of belief.
You see, belief goes beyondjust positive thinking.
Belief is a deeply rootedconviction.
It's a sense of certainty thatsomething is true, even if you
haven't observed the physicalevidence.
Think of belief as a compassthat directs your actions.
If your compass is pointedtowards success, you are more

(01:31):
than likely to take the stepsthat lead in that direction.
However, if it's pointedtowards doubt and fear, you're
likely to veer off course.
Now, one fascinating aspectabout our brains is that it's
programmed to seek out evidencethat confirms our beliefs.
This phenomenon is calledconfirmation bias and, as a

(01:55):
result, if you believe you canachieve great things, your mind
will start to notice theopportunities and the resources
that support that belief.
However, it's also true that ifyou think that you're destined
to fail, your mind willconcentrate on setbacks and
challenges, reinforcing thenegative perception.
So let's discuss some commonroadblocks that prevent us from

(02:19):
fostering strong, positivebeliefs.
Now, one of the biggest culpritsis fear.
The fear of failure, fear ofjudgment and even the fear of
success can all sabotage ourbelief system.
Another common roadblock islimiting beliefs.
These beliefs are ofteningrained in us from childhood

(02:42):
or learn through negativeexperiences.
They are the I'm not goodenough, I don't deserve it or I
can't do it voices that seem tohold us back.
Let me give you an example.
Sarah grew up hearing that shewould never succeed as a
professional singer.
Now, as she got older and beganto audition for musical events

(03:04):
at her high school, a voice inher head repeatedly told her
quote you will never make it asa professional singer.
This limiting belief hinderedher performance and prevented
her from passing any of theauditions.
It wasn't until Sarahrecognized and transformed this
belief that she was able toachieve the success she wanted

(03:25):
as a professional singer.
You see, our beliefs are notfixed.
They can be changed, reshapedand strengthened.
However, changing our beliefstakes conscious effort and a
consistent practice, but it isabsolutely possible to rewire
our brains for success.
So how do we do it?

(03:46):
What practical strategies canwe use to change our beliefs and
rewire our brain for success?
First, we need to identify ourlimiting beliefs.
What negative thoughts keeppopping up in your head?
Write them down and questionthose beliefs.
Are they true, and whatevidence do you have to

(04:08):
contradict those thoughts orbeliefs?
You see, most of the time, whatwe'll find is that the limiting
beliefs that we hold are basedon fear rather than fact.
Next, begin feeding your mindpositive affirmations.
These statements reflect yourbeliefs about yourself and your
goals.
Instead of saying I want to besuccessful, try saying I am a

(04:33):
successful and capableindividual.
Repeat these affirmations daily.
Ideally, you want to do it outloud, while visualizing yourself
achieving your goal.
You see, creating I amaffirmations is a great strategy
to help shift your belief andrewire your brain for success.

(04:53):
Visualization serves as apowerful tool for transforming
limiting beliefs, as well asrewiring our brain for success.
Picture yourself alreadyachieving your desired outcomes.
Now, neville Goddard, awell-known mystic and personal
growth expert, expressed thatwhen we envision the success we
desire, we must feel as if wealready possess it.

(05:17):
The more vivid and detailed ourvisualization, the more
powerful it becomes.
Next, surrounding yourself withpositive influences and
limiting your exposure tonegativity, whether that be from
people or media, is anotherstrategy to help shift your
beliefs and rewire your brainfor success.

(05:40):
Another strategy to help shiftyour beliefs and rewire your
brain for success Seek out rolemodels and mentors, coaches and
supportive friends who actuallybelieve in you and your dreams.
Another strategy is to takeinspired action.
You see, belief without actionis merely wishful thinking.
Begin small, but takeconsistent steps towards your
goals.

(06:00):
Each small victory willstrengthen your belief in your
ability to succeed.
Finally, remember the three Pspatience, persistence and
practice.
You see, changing your beliefsrequires time, effort and
practice.
Don't be discouraged byoccasional setbacks.
Instead, view them as learningopportunities and keep moving

(06:23):
forward.
Now, as we wrap up this episode, let me leave you with this
thought the magic of belief liesin its transformative power.
When you genuinely believe inyourself and your potential, you
unlock a reservoir of innerstrength and resilience.
You attract opportunities, overcome challenges and create

(06:46):
the success you desire.
So what will you believe?
Will you choose to allow yourfear and doubt to success you
desire?
So what will you believe?
Will you choose to allow yourfear and doubt to hold you back,
or will you embrace the magicof belief and create the success
you desire?
The choice is yours.
