Jax and Swift’s jaunt to Salem is proving to be more than ill advised. And while Dodd continues her search for the fragment, back in the present, Lautner attempts to protect Taylor from a perceived threat from Flynn.
Swift is desperate to get Jax out of jail, conscious of the fact he needs to locate the next fragment, but it seems that Hawthorn and Dood have different ideas. Flynn arrives back in 2025 and immediately wishes he hadn’t.
Flynn arrives back in 1888 and has a stroke of fortune at Scotland Yard. Swift finally gets to see Jax – but his attempts to portray himself as a Witchfinder, begin to unravel.
Taylor continues to investigate what Swift is up to in the present, while back in 1888 – Flynn has secured passage to London. Meanwhile in Salem, Jax is taken in front of the magistrates, and arriving in 1692, Swift needs an identity.
Back in 1692 Jax comes across Elizabeth Proctor in less than ideal circumstances, and while Swift tries to get to her as quickly as possible, Flynn is hot on his tail.
Swift attempts to save Jax, and finds Flynn opposed to his plans. Meanwhile, Grigoriev receives news of that does not please him, and Taylor is faced with a dilemma.
Flynn makes plans to travel overland to Chad, and while Swift encounters unwanted attention in the present, Jax discovers that travelling to the past, is not as simple as she imagined.
Abberline receives a strange item, and whilst Flynn prepares to travel overland, Jax takes her first trip through the Rift – and encounters trouble.
While Jax has a breakthrough with her algorithm, Flynn’s decision to have Swift investigate Dillon’s death, brings him face to face with the law.
With the opportunity to have a detective's help, Flynn arranges to take Swift back to 1888. But things do not always run smoothly in the Rift.
Jax turns to an old colleague for help with finding the next Rift, and Flynn discovers the cause of Dillon's death.
While Flynn and Jax are working together, Swift falls foul of Taylor. Back in 1888, events take a turn for the worse.
Robert realises that Dillon’s plans may not be as transparent as they appear. Jax worries that Liam hasn’t come through with the paintings. Taylor and Swift receive interesting information about the bodies, and everything comes to a head at Miller’s Court.
Liam falls foul of Dillon, and Taylor and Swift have an altercation. Flynn finally discovers just why it is vital to save Mary’s life.
Dillon’s true colours begin to shine through, and while Robert is relieved to have escaped back to 1888 in one piece, he’s beginning to wonder if it is a frying pan to fire situation. In 2025, Liam prepares to make the leap, with Jax’ help - but things do not go exactly to plan.
Liam is in trouble. The police are closing in – and whilst Swift is still convinced, he is innocent of murder, Jax is not helping his cause. Dillon seeks out Mary to discuss a proposal, and back in the now, Flynn has an unwelcome visitor.
Liam is feeling the strain, while Jax is more concerned with yet another money-making opportunity. Swift opens up about why he sympathises with Liam, and back in 1888, Flynn and Dillon find themselves in the middle of a Ripper murder.
Liam has an unexpected visitor at the station, and Flynn and Dillon undertake a modern day, “Ripper Tour”. Time is running out to save Mary.
A police raid in the present, is unwelcome news for Jax and Liam. Flynn is surprised by Dillon’s keenness to help him.
Jax and Liam try to get to the bottom of the phonograph recording, and Flynn finds that Abbeline is not someone to cross. Meanwhile, the police are left to handle the aftereffects of the press leak.
