Robert realises that Dillon’s plans may not be as transparent as they appear. Jax worries that Liam hasn’t come through with the paintings. Taylor and Swift receive interesting information about the bodies, and everything comes to a head at Miller’s Court.
Liam falls foul of Dillon, and Taylor and Swift have an altercation. Flynn finally discovers just why it is vital to save Mary’s life.
Dillon’s true colours begin to shine through, and while Robert is relieved to have escaped back to 1888 in one piece, he’s beginning to wonder if it is a frying pan to fire situation. In 2025, Liam prepares to make the leap, with Jax’ help - but things do not go exactly to plan.
Liam is in trouble. The police are closing in – and whilst Swift is still convinced, he is innocent of murder, Jax is not helping his cause. Dillon seeks out Mary to discuss a proposal, and back in the now, Flynn has an unwelcome visitor.
Liam is feeling the strain, while Jax is more concerned with yet another money-making opportunity. Swift opens up about why he sympathises with Liam, and back in 1888, Flynn and Dillon find themselves in the middle of a Ripper murder.
Liam has an unexpected visitor at the station, and Flynn and Dillon undertake a modern day, “Ripper Tour”. Time is running out to save Mary.
A police raid in the present, is unwelcome news for Jax and Liam. Flynn is surprised by Dillon’s keenness to help him.
Jax and Liam try to get to the bottom of the phonograph recording, and Flynn finds that Abbeline is not someone to cross. Meanwhile, the police are left to handle the aftereffects of the press leak.
Dillon ruffles feathers, and Jax finally gets to grips with the mysterious phonograph cylinder.
Flynn encounters a familiar face, while Taylor and Swift deal with a pressing issue closer to home.
Flynn finds a way to circumvent the Rift’s constraints on objects. Later, after visiting Singer Sargent, he finds it impossible to resist going early to the scene of Annie Chapman’s murder – with dire consequences.
The Rift: 1888 returns May 4th!
Flynn learns just what lies in store for Mary. Jax and Liam plan on a potential trip into the rift themselves, and Taylor and Swift receive information leading to a search of Flynn’s house.
Jax and Liam try to unravel the background to the Rift, whilst back in 1888, Flynn finds himself incurring the wrath of Joseph Barnett.
Flynn has to think on his feet to prevent Mary from going to the police. Owning the house, and having a base, he starts to plan how to make money to take back to the present. Jax and Liam research the background to the Ripper killings.
As Flynn scrambles to cover up his crime, Taylor and Swift are trying to trace the maker of the dead body’s clothing. And when Flynn goes to see about the purchase of the house, back in 1888 – it isn’t long before he has an unexpected visitor.
Elated with his prize – Flynn is now free of his debts. While the police continue with their investigations into the body, and Jax and Liam are determined to explore the Rift themselves, Flynn realises that matters are not as settled as he had anticipated. And a late night visit, leads to a tragic conclusion.
As Jax and Liam struggle to get to grips with the recording they have discovered, Flynn travels to visit one of the pre-eminent Victorian artists. And back in the present – or is it the past, the police find the body of a man in clothing very much not of this period.
When Flynn’s gambling debts come back to haunt him, in the shady figure of a man named Daniel, there is only one option left – figure out how to make some money. Quickly! The Rift, is both opportunity, and danger.
