It was my 58th birthday on Friday, July 24th, 2026 so I decided I was going to play songs from the year I was 18 and 19, 1986. Lot's of great releases from that year and late the year prior! This is what I was listening to, the CD's and cassettes I wore out, the ones I brought everywhere, the ones I bought and listened to while skipping my senior year and college classes. A few years back I became aware of this crazy guy over in Melbourne, Australia named Damian Frood. He used to make sounds as Tina & The Hams with Craig Tigwell and their music was a delightful blend of catchy Post-Punk and weirdness that I loved. When I started following Seattle's Black Nite Crash and reviewing their music for Highwire Daze Magazine I enjoyed the band's sound, a mix of psychedelic and textured and catchy tunes. But little did I know, that guitarist/singer Jim Biggs was also a club DJ. DJ JimiC has done anniversary shows in the past but this time he's put together two hours of music that is all over the place and a joy to listen to.

There's a bit of a theme on this episode of The Comforts of Madness. Don't Panic and hang the DJ, Our Favorite Idiot, Rob Levy, he's not an Agony Freak and this July you might feel like a Lost Boy trying to help Save the Youth of America. But you will surely get a Headrush listening to Episode 28!
