Faith is a Journey

Faith is a Journey

Faith Is a Journey is a Christian podcast for people who believe the Bible but struggle to live it when life gets messy. We’re a husband and wife. Not pastors. Not polished teachers. Just two believers opening Scripture each week and asking what it actually demands of us. We talk about stress, doubt, discipline, fear, unanswered prayers, and the gap between what we say we believe and how we actually live. This isn’t church talk or motivational fluff. It’s honest conversation about following Jesus when obedience costs something and clarity is hard to find. Each episode wrestles with one passage or idea and asks the question most people avoid: What does this require of us right now? Disclaimer: The conversations shared on Faith Is a Journey reflect our personal experiences and understanding of Scripture. They are not intended as formal theological teaching or professional counseling.

In this episode of Faith Is A Journey, we dive into one of the most uncomfortable books in the Bible: James.

What happens when doing the “right thing” doesn’t bring peace?

In this episode, we talk honestly about the guilt that can creep in after holding onto meaningful possessions. What started as helping family turned into sleepless nights, second-guessing motives, and asking whether we were honoring God or quietly letting guilt take over.

We wrestle with Jesus’ words about earthly treasures and heavenly ones, not from a place of rules o...

Striving After Wind is one of the most honest phrases in the Bible, and it comes from one of its most uncomfortable books.

In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we sit down at the table and wrestle with the book of Ecclesiastes. A book many churches avoid because it refuses to offer easy optimism.

Ecclesiastes asks the questions most believers quietly carry: Why does achievement feel empty? Why doesn’t wisdom bring peace? Why do h...

When everything feels broken and no one is coming to your rescue, what does faith actually look like?

In this episode, we sit down at the kitchen table and talk through a season where nothing seems to be getting resolved. Broken systems, difficult neighbors, constant stress, and the temptation to lose peace when life won’t cooperate.

We open Scripture and wrestle with what it means to find peace before resolution, to love people wi...

In this episode of Faith is a Journey, we sit at the kitchen table and talk honestly about freedom, control and the lie that we’re running our own lives. Most of us think we’re free because we call our own shots, but Scripture makes it clear. We’re all a slave to something.

We dig into Romans 6, John 8 and other passages that expose how our impulses, emotions, ambitions and insecurities end up ruling us more than we want to admit. ...
