Speaker 3 (00:11):
It's John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 4 (00:12):
We are doing something new on Sunday. We're dropping a
new podcast. It's going to be on our John Jay
and Rich on demand podcasts right now. At the working
title is Couple's Therapy. Since all four of us are
in relationships, we're all going to take turns every Sunday
being in a new podcast. And this Sunday it's Rich
and his wife Stacy. So as since this is new,
(00:34):
we thought, if you have questions for Rich and Stacy,
go to Facebook.
Speaker 5 (00:37):
Did you already post on Facebook?
Speaker 6 (00:38):
Yeah, it's already on Facebook. It'll be up on the
Instagram stories too, with like the little questions tab, so
you can leave questions there.
Speaker 4 (00:45):
Oh good, and then and then you'll forward them all
to Rich and Stacy and they're gonna do a podcast.
Speaker 5 (00:48):
I don't know if you're taping it tonight.
Speaker 7 (00:49):
We are, actually And if you have questions specifically for Stacy,
I call her hot take because she has a hot
take on literally everything in our lives. It doesn't really matter.
I mean, you've seen it wherever we are. She has
a hot take on whatever experience that we're having.
Speaker 8 (01:05):
I love how Stacey speaks because she's so smart. The
words just flow freely.
Speaker 7 (01:10):
Yeah, that's gould be.
Speaker 5 (01:11):
Great to hear it.
Speaker 4 (01:12):
So the first one is this Sunday, and then you know,
Peyton and Kadeem, we're going to do one. Kyle and
Fish you are going to do one. Blake and are
going to do one. We might even go with everybody
else behind the scenes do one. So right now, that's
our working title, Couples Therapy, and it starts this Sunday,
This Sunday.
Speaker 5 (01:27):
Now, pay what happened to this morning with your car?
Speaker 6 (01:29):
Well, I thought my car got stolen this morning. When
I went to go go literally to my parking spot
where my car is always at, it wasn't there. And
then it dawned on me that I had to park
literally across the apartment complex because they're redoing like our
roads and stuff, and the way that our apartment complex
has decided to block off all of the parking spots
(01:49):
is so inconvenient.
Speaker 3 (01:51):
I literally live.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
On the back side of the complex and I had
to hike all the way. At five o'clock this morning
in the dark by myself to the front of the
park in complex. I get there and then realize my
car isn't there either, and I'd completely forgotten where I
parked my car.
Speaker 8 (02:04):
Oh no, that's the worst.
Speaker 6 (02:07):
So I started doing laps around my apartment complex. I
ended up finding it, but I definitely got my steps in.
Speaker 7 (02:11):
This morning a little alarm.
Speaker 6 (02:14):
No, it's five o'clock in the morning, and like my
complex like is not big, there's probably two hundred residents,
Like it's not very big, but it's like it.
Speaker 7 (02:23):
Was like a wide wrap around.
Speaker 6 (02:25):
But so I didn't want to wake anyone up. That's
why I didn't do the.
Speaker 8 (02:28):
Nice name that feeling when you like think your car's gone,
because like I've had that feeling here at the office
when like I usually park in the same side, almost
in the same spot every day, but every once in
a while all the spots are taken and I park
on the other side. Every time. It gets me every
time I'm like, where's your car and your drops and
then you're.
Speaker 5 (02:45):
Like l second of like oh my god, and like,
oh I parked around.
Speaker 3 (02:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (02:51):
Speaking of Kyle, what's going on with your whole food
logging thing? Because I know you're asking about my fitness
pile the other day. You were, what, first of all,
why is this part of the New Year's resolution?
Speaker 8 (03:00):
No, I mean it probably should have been. I didn't
really have like I mean, no, not really part of
a new Year's resolution, more part of like, it's almost
summertime and I gained a lot of weight and I
don't like how my clothes are fitting, and I had
stepped in the scale and I weigh more than I
ever have. So at that moment, I was like, I
got to do something different. So my husband, who at
(03:20):
one point was down to like three percent body fat,
he knows what he's doing when he's like trying to
shed weight or build muscle or whatever. So he's a
really good source of like knowledge for this kind of stuff.
But I can't take it from him for whatever reason.
Speaker 7 (03:36):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (03:36):
I think it's like, you know, it's like you can't
take advice from those that are closest to you for
whatever reason. So I was telling him that, you know,
I've been logging my food and I feel like I've
gotten to the point where I'm really proud of myself
because the first day I started doing it, I was
way over the calories, and I was like, okay, I
just have to shift some things. So I changed the
type of yogurt I eat. I changed a couple of
(03:57):
things here and there, and I'm just like, snacking on
candy less alone can help, obviously, And so I thought
like he would be giving me a pat on the back,
like way to go, Like yesterday, I was only one
calorie over what I'm supposed to be right, And he's like,
let me look at your macros. And I was like,
why are you gonna make me feel bad about what
I'm actually eating? And he's like, let me just take
a look. He looks, and then he's just silent, and
(04:20):
I'm like, are you gonna say something? He's like, no,
it's fine. I'm like, okay, now you have to say
whatever it is you're thinking, because I know it's obviously
like something not great, right, And he's like, well, when
I look at your macros, you should probably just try
to at least eat more protein than fats. And I
was like, you know what, I'm not gonna do that
right now. I'm still working on calies. I'm still trying
(04:42):
to figure out my life.
Speaker 7 (04:44):
I want to stop out.
Speaker 8 (04:50):
He's like, that's why I wasn't gonna say. And then
I go back in like at the end of the
day and I like tab on over to the macro's
part and it's like, oh, the fat is.
Speaker 9 (05:00):
Lot more than the protein.
Speaker 8 (05:01):
I guess. I guess I'll probably try to start doing that.
Speaker 7 (05:04):
That's no fair because stuff like salad dressing is delicious.
It's what makes the protein taste.
Speaker 8 (05:09):
But for me, it's like I said, go back and
look like you know, when I came around, I was like,
take a look at what I'm actually eating, Like what
where's all this fact coming from? And it's the meat
that I'm eating, Like I'm eating ground turkey and like hamburgers,
and like yeah, he's like, we need to start getting
instead of the eighty twenty ground beef, we need to
start getting the turkey burger.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
That little tiny it's turkey. I figured turkey. I so
don't want to hear this right now. I know I
didn't either, Like I thought.
Speaker 10 (05:44):
He was it.
Speaker 4 (05:44):
Man, you're eating too much bread, you're eating too much pasta,
you're eating too much avocados, you're peanuts, peanut butter.
Speaker 5 (05:49):
Have the peanut butter.
Speaker 3 (05:50):
Turkey, Turkey I know.
Speaker 8 (05:52):
I know that's why I didn't want to hear it either,
especially from him. But like, at the same time, I
know he knows what he's doing. I know he's probably right,
and he looks at that and says that to me,
But there's just something about it where I'm just like.
Speaker 6 (06:04):
Yeah, you don't want to hear it from him, No, Jesus.
Speaker 7 (06:07):
I remember when he got down the three percent body
fat It was pre my Fitness Pal and he wrote
down everything he ate every day. I feel like for
a couple of years, right, he ate.
Speaker 8 (06:16):
The exact same thing for breakfast, exact same thing for lunch,
exact same thing for dinner for over a year.
Speaker 5 (06:21):
I could do that.
Speaker 8 (06:22):
I could not do that. I could not do that.
Speaker 4 (06:24):
I love that anyway, That's crazy man again The New
Couple's podcast. Go to Facebook search John Jay and Rich
or Instagram John Jay and Rich and leave any questions
for Rich and Stacy. They'll answer him tonight and drop
the podcast on Sunday.
Speaker 3 (06:40):
Come for the John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
But let's be honest, if you stay for Kyle and Peyton,
it's John Jay and Ridge.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
It's time for spring break bust. This is where we
have boyfriend's girlfriends. Husbands wives check in on their boyfriend's
girlfriends kids that are on spring break.
Speaker 5 (06:59):
Josey, good morning, Hey, good morning. What do you do
for you? Who are we checking in on?
Speaker 11 (07:05):
I was just calling the chicken and my daughter and
her friends. They're all staying our cabin for spring break
this week in Tahoe. Normally re rented out as an Airbnb,
but she convinced my wife and I to let her
and a few of her friends go up there. I'm
just I just want to make sure she hasn't burned
the place down, you know, like she's really good at
convincing us to do things. But I don't know how
(07:26):
she's going to be keeping her friends under control at
the house and all that make sure the cabin's still standing.
Speaker 7 (07:33):
We had a lot of memories there, you know, like
how many total kids are in there?
Speaker 11 (07:37):
Oh gosh, I think I think five plus, like her
our childhood, her childhood friend, my best friend's son. Yeah,
I think so. You know that's right.
Speaker 4 (07:49):
So guys and girls had said cabin. How do you
feel about that?
Speaker 11 (07:54):
Jose anybody other than Rob I would be a note,
But I mean they're like they've known each other since
they were a little kid, so it's not a problem
at all.
Speaker 5 (08:05):
What's your daughter's name, Bella?
Speaker 4 (08:07):
All right, we're gonna get her on the phone and
ask her to be a reporter. Is Taho a big
spring break destination? I have party there once, by the way.
Speaker 6 (08:15):
I know a lot of people go there for like
the summertime, so I wouldn't be shocked if there were
some stuff going on in spring.
Speaker 7 (08:21):
Great.
Speaker 8 (08:22):
Well, I mean your parents have a cabin there.
Speaker 6 (08:24):
It's a party.
Speaker 4 (08:27):
I went there, parked my car at a at a
at a hotel. I was with my wife, and I
left the car on and went inside and gambled and
got drunk and woke up the next morning and left
the key the key in the car with the car on,
and had to wait for.
Speaker 5 (08:41):
It to turn out of gas.
Speaker 4 (08:42):
Oh no, that's part of what I remember. All right,
we're gonna call Bella. We're gonna ask her to be
our spring break reporter. Jose And what you do is
you stay quiet, okay, but we're gonna take a quick break,
so make sure we can get her on the phone
right now to make sure she's down to be our reporter.
So hang tight, A dad checking in on a daughter.
Speaker 5 (08:59):
You guys could go wrong.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
Spring Break Bust continues next with John Jay and Rich Rich.
We're in the middle spring Break Bust. It's John Jay
and Rich. You got Jose on the line. He wants
to check in on his daughter, who's celebrating spring break
in Lake Tahoe, staying at their cabin, which is usually
their BnB, but they decided not to rent it so
(09:22):
that his daughter, Bella, and some friends could go there.
We know she's with a five or six people. One
of them is a guy named Rob, But Rob. Rob's
a cool dude, right Rob, You've known your whole.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
Life, right, Jose?
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (09:34):
Absolutely, Okay, let me check out best friend son. Okay,
all right, hey Nick, what's up with Bella? She cool
to be a reporter?
Speaker 7 (09:45):
Yeah, she sounds ready.
Speaker 3 (09:47):
She does seem to have had a wild.
Speaker 5 (09:49):
Night last Niko. Okay, all right, Hey Jose, you stay quiet.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Okay, Okay, Hey Bella, you're cool to be our spring
break reporter?
Speaker 12 (10:02):
Uh yeah, okay, cool.
Speaker 5 (10:04):
Thanks for jumping on there with us.
Speaker 4 (10:05):
So we've had reporters in Cancun, San Diego, Cobble, Miami,
Palm Springs. We have not had anybody report for us
from Tahoe, So that's cool you're willing to jump on
the air with us. And normally what we do is
we want to find out what the vibe is like
where you're staying, who you're with, and kind of what's
been going on.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
Last couple of days.
Speaker 13 (10:25):
Well, spring break has been so much fun, probably the
best one we've had.
Speaker 10 (10:30):
We're staying in the comfort of my cabin, so we
we really let lose.
Speaker 14 (10:39):
And as a.
Speaker 13 (10:39):
Spring break reporter, I have all the tea, so I've
been spending time with actually one of my childhood best
friends and our parents are best friends too, And the
other day, oh my gosh, I was changed and it
(11:01):
was like the first day here and he's my best
see his name's Rob and but he like walked.
Speaker 15 (11:07):
In on me, and I think it was an accident.
We were both tipsy and we ended up laughing about it.
But he was like telling me.
Speaker 12 (11:17):
He started telling me how hot I was.
Speaker 13 (11:21):
And how he's like always had a think for me,
but he didn't ever want to let me know or whatever.
Speaker 15 (11:28):
But he asked me if I would like be down
to just like finish getting undressed.
Speaker 12 (11:37):
For him, and I was like, oh god, I was
like what, But I was also drunk and.
Speaker 15 (11:45):
He's cute, so I was like Scripps and why not.
But but now it's like turned into an everyday thing
and I just like to strip for him and like
put on a show while he like handles his business,
(12:06):
you know what I mean.
Speaker 12 (12:07):
But like I have a boyfriend, so I've never touched him,
but yeah, because that would be cheating, but like.
Speaker 7 (12:15):
God would be cheating.
Speaker 12 (12:17):
Yeah, I don't know, it's just like it's just like
a fun side project kind of thing.
Speaker 7 (12:24):
I don't know.
Speaker 13 (12:25):
A yeah, I feel like it's just been crazy, like
everyone else is hooking up with each other and so
I feel like what we're doing is just like.
Speaker 12 (12:34):
The ABC's I don't know, and they're all like on
Molly and just hooking up and I don't know that's
like normal for me friends.
Speaker 4 (12:44):
Though, But okay, just so I can understand completely, you're
not getting intimate with him, you're not kissing him, you're
not touching him.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
So every day, like does he just say to you, hey, Bella,
can we go to the back room for twenty minutes?
Speaker 4 (12:59):
Like how does because it's just it's just friends, Like,
like how does that conversation take place.
Speaker 12 (13:04):
It's just it's been a random times, but like it
we kind of just catch a.
Speaker 4 (13:09):
Vibe and like, are you it sounds like you're kind
of having fun doing it?
Speaker 8 (13:14):
Oh totally.
Speaker 2 (13:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
It's like you know, when I'm making it, this is.
Speaker 12 (13:19):
Like it's kind of natural to explore and and I
just feel like, you know, it's.
Speaker 15 (13:25):
Kind of silly, like it's like a new funny.
Speaker 10 (13:28):
Thing about our friendship, you.
Speaker 4 (13:30):
Know, strip in front of him or like are you
like I don't know, like what what? What's another? Is
you like like you're just a stripper at a club
or do you do anything else?
Speaker 10 (13:46):
You know, just.
Speaker 12 (13:47):
Basic It's just I don't know. It's not very it's
not like so serious.
Speaker 11 (13:52):
But like broa on Earth talking about you and Rob?
Are you serious for now?
Speaker 1 (14:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 10 (14:02):
Dad?
Speaker 11 (14:03):
You and you're that's disgusting. BA. You're telling me you've
been resting around with Rob, my best friend's son. It's
like your brother, Dolla, how did this even happen?
Speaker 1 (14:14):
I'm somebody for it to happen.
Speaker 12 (14:16):
It was just it was a mistake and I was
drunk and we were just having fun.
Speaker 7 (14:23):
Oh my god. But now it's a tradition.
Speaker 12 (14:26):
I I'm sorry.
Speaker 15 (14:27):
I don't want to disappoint you.
Speaker 11 (14:31):
Disappointment, BROA disappointment is an understatement. You're doing this while
you have a boyfriend or you're.
Speaker 12 (14:39):
Having fun.
Speaker 11 (14:40):
What happened all that talk about being loyal? How could
you Okay, you can have a crossing the line.
Speaker 7 (14:48):
Well, wait a minute, crossing the line would.
Speaker 5 (14:54):
Rain I think Rob. I'm so excited for Rob. This
sounds like so fun, It sounds so kinky in the middle.
Speaker 6 (15:00):
That sounds so awkward, Like I'm not a man, but
like from the conversations I've had with men, like that's
like a shameful thing to do, like and then to
do it in front of your childhood best friend you grow.
Speaker 8 (15:09):
But also like, if you're hoose, you're thinking, like this
is totally going to ruin the whole dynamics. Yeah, families
hang out and do stuff all the time. Now he's
gonna have to see Rob and know that Rob's just
checking out his dark make it the whole time.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
But if it wasn't on spring Break Bus on the radio,
it wouldn't be nobody would know just them too.
Speaker 7 (15:25):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (15:26):
Now we know.
Speaker 7 (15:28):
Marriage, I think it's.
Speaker 4 (15:29):
Kind of erotic. Oh, I don't think there's anything. I mean,
I mean, if it turns into marriage, okay, but.
Speaker 7 (15:33):
What wouldn't it be a great thing to talk about
at the wedding?
Speaker 6 (15:35):
Is how we a wedding guest.
Speaker 7 (15:38):
I don't want to know whose story.
Speaker 4 (15:40):
But to have that kind of a cool relationship with
a friend, I think it's awesome.
Speaker 6 (15:43):
No way, I look at my guy busy and that's disgusting.
Speaker 4 (15:46):
One they weren't in relationships. Let's say neither one of
them was a relationship. It's it's fun, that's kind of fun. Rich, Rich,
I've been through this many times. Yeah, we go on,
we go speak somewhere in San Diego.
Speaker 7 (15:57):
Everybody dancing.
Speaker 12 (15:59):
Yeah, I mean, Dad, I didn't want to hurt anyone,
especially you, obviously, like.
Speaker 13 (16:08):
You weren't meant to know all this.
Speaker 12 (16:10):
But I didn't think it was that serious, and I
didn't think it would like turn into this.
Speaker 11 (16:16):
I can't even wrap my head around this, fella. It's like,
what is this an episode of White Lotus? This isn't
just one with praise. It's pretty families, you know Rob forever?
Or now you're telling me this. I thought he was
like family, You've got a boyfriend, what.
Speaker 5 (16:33):
Are you doing?
Speaker 12 (16:35):
I didn't mean for that any of this to happen.
Speaker 13 (16:38):
I don't.
Speaker 15 (16:38):
I didn't think it would. I didn't think it would
go far in any way.
Speaker 12 (16:44):
I just was trying to have fun with my friends.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
She didn't have sex with them. I mean, it is
safe what they did. They're friends, they're safe. I mean,
you know, I mean.
Speaker 5 (16:55):
It's sad that dad doesn't like.
Speaker 4 (16:58):
If Dad wasn't listening, we would just be, oh my god,
that's crazy, that's.
Speaker 5 (17:01):
You know, whatever whatever.
Speaker 8 (17:02):
I also go, oh my gosh, don't you think that's
going to like lead to some awkwardness and effect your friendship.
Speaker 5 (17:07):
Maybe I'm trying to look at the glass happening.
Speaker 6 (17:11):
Is thegether and like not us just glazing over the
fact that everyone else there is like hooking up and
doing molly.
Speaker 9 (17:18):
She said, that's just normal that they do so because
you cannot pick it up with a stranger.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
We've heard spring break busts that are way worse than this.
This is just that true all fun. What if heard
Rob after spring break? They never do this again. It's
just that one thing and spring break that happened that
one time.
Speaker 6 (17:36):
At least you know Rob, you know, he's a good guy.
Speaker 11 (17:40):
Yeah, Dad, I won't be seeing Rob anymore. That's for sure.
Speaker 4 (17:47):
You'll see Rob if you see Robin now, he's like,
that's the thing he does when he sees people in
your family.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
They need you to continue, Jose, Are you you're gonna
tell Rob's parents?
Speaker 3 (18:01):
Who can't tell me?
Speaker 6 (18:02):
You got to keep this to see a gret.
Speaker 11 (18:04):
They all listen to this show. They're all good enough.
Speaker 7 (18:08):
We'll thank them for us.
Speaker 8 (18:09):
Now I feel bad now I'm like, dang, tell them
to skip today.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
Yeah, tell don't listen to during this time?
Speaker 7 (18:16):
Taking about to breakfast? When this rents?
Speaker 5 (18:18):
All right? When do you come home? Bella?
Speaker 12 (18:21):
Where do I wait?
Speaker 5 (18:22):
When do you come home tomorrow?
Speaker 4 (18:25):
Okay, well they just pretend this never happened. One more time,
all right? Yeah, you have a more night, one more dance,
one more song, one more night.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
And him shaking hands with mister happy. Thanks.
Speaker 15 (18:36):
They appreciate the support.
Speaker 5 (18:39):
All right. That's that's a spring break bus with John
d Rich.
Speaker 7 (18:45):
Stop just yelling at the radio.
Speaker 2 (18:47):
Call us eight seven seven nine three seven one o
four seven.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
It's John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 5 (18:53):
Good morning. Is your name Darrah or Dara?
Speaker 1 (18:57):
Dara?
Speaker 10 (18:58):
Dara?
Speaker 8 (18:58):
You got it the first time?
Speaker 5 (19:00):
All right, Darah. Alright, so we're gonna play a game. Nick,
what's the game we're playing?
Speaker 2 (19:03):
You guys are playing a brand new game today. You know,
I like the theme my games. Yeah, this game is
called brother Who Art Thou?
Speaker 3 (19:12):
And it's based on famous brothers.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
For jonas Brothers tickets.
Speaker 7 (19:17):
Yeah, that's the theme. That's how you're faming.
Speaker 3 (19:21):
I got it. It's a silly thing, guys, it's so silly.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
I'm gonna play a clip and you have to tell
me who the brothers are in said clip. They could
be real, they could be fictional. And if there's multiple brothers,

Speaker 3 (20:55):

Speaker 8 (20:57):

Raphael and Donna Tello.
Speaker 5 (21:03):

Speaker 6 (21:06):
I don't think I've ever seen teenage men and Ninja turtles?
Speaker 8 (21:09):
So is that rap a little too raff?
Speaker 2 (21:12):
It feels like maybe train a little harder when you
know Nick's games are coming.
Speaker 6 (21:17):
Hey, I'm bad, Okay, I fumbled on that one.
Speaker 3 (21:19):

Speaker 8 (21:27):

of their names? Oh no, so okay deliver me. One
of them is Kevin, one of them is uh Derek, Okay,

Speaker 2 (22:46):

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Points are Rich, way to go. That was the Manning brothers. Uh,
I'm just so proud of your rich Peyton. Oh, she
looks confused in the studio. Guys, I'm a little worried.
Speaker 6 (23:41):
I feel like that's something like wrestling or something or
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
I mean, work it out, I mean how how okay
are you.
Speaker 3 (23:53):
Throw in the towel? No knows who it is? Okay?

Speaker 2 (24:13):
Peyton Gooseig Okay, Kyle Child currently in second place.
Speaker 3 (24:19):

Speaker 5 (24:27):

since I have a goose egg in this game.
Speaker 3 (25:09):

Speaker 5 (25:13):

Speaker 10 (25:13):

Speaker 1 (25:14):

Speaker 3 (25:15):
Well, what's the I'm sorry, the last Jonas brother.
Speaker 10 (25:21):

Speaker 3 (25:24):
Yeah, the last Jonas brother, the last one.
Speaker 10 (25:26):
Oh my gosh, I know his name. I am so
obsessed with them. I think I'm just too excited. What's
his name?
Speaker 8 (25:32):
Frankie Frankie Jones.
Speaker 5 (25:40):
All right, hold on and I will set you up. Derek,
thanks for listening.
Speaker 15 (25:43):
Thank you guys so much.
Speaker 5 (25:44):
You got it.
Speaker 7 (25:45):
Don't tell anybody.
Speaker 3 (25:46):
John Jay and Rich gave me their personal cell phone number.
Where is my freaking phone eight.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
Seven seven nine three seven one oh four seven.
Speaker 3 (25:55):
It's John J. And Ridge.
Speaker 5 (25:57):
It's John J.
Speaker 11 (25:57):
Rich.
Speaker 4 (25:58):
Shoot us at tax text jj R nine eight nine
three and whatever you want to say to nine sixty
eight that nineth three. Maybe you've got something you can
participate in what I'm about to present to you, guys.
You can also call us at eight seven seven nine
three seven one o four seven. So like this is
what the Internet should be used for. There's a thread
on Reddit where people are describing their fart using a
movie title A rich you said, a quiet place, wicked
(26:24):
Days of thunder, Fast and Furious. How to lose a
guy in ten days? Pitch perfect? And the number one
answer is everything everywhere, all at once.
Speaker 7 (26:39):
Get out would be a good one because there's more
room with the wind.
Speaker 5 (26:43):
Mind. I was gonna say, wreck.
Speaker 4 (26:44):
It, Ralph, anybody else, No, no, thay, can't think, can't think? Okay,
if you have one, call us at eight seven seven
nine three seven one o four seven. So it's spring
cleaning time and I saw this list also on Reddit
about the top things that guests notice that can make
your place seem gross, And then I realized, which something
(27:04):
like that happened to you?
Speaker 5 (27:05):
Before I go with this list? What happened to you?
Speaker 7 (27:08):
There was a I want to be careful because I'm
going to out the people whose house this is. They
live really close to my house on my same street,
and they were having a party over the weekend that
Stacey and I got invited to, but we couldn't go.
We had another event, so Stacey said, why don't we
stop by right before we leave just to kind of
say hello to people, and so we did, and when
(27:29):
we get there, they were not ready for the party. Really,
you know, we ut there at that time where people
are getting dressed and they're still putting out drinks in.
One of the things that I don't know, I think
this is a girl thing now. I don't think any
guys really impressed with. And that is when your main
food is the chikuterie board, I am not impressed because
that means you don't have real food. If you want,
like you want to have a party, you should have
(27:50):
some barbecue or something there. You don't want finger food,
not just finger food. But I mean, it's not my party.
I'm not staying. So I go and I talked to
the husband and I'm helping them carrying in a couple
of drinks. And so the chacutari board is laid out
on this pretty high counter and it's big, so they're
expecting fifty sixty people something like that. And there's things
that I even question, like shrimp on there, because I'm like,
(28:11):
people aren't coming for another hour and you've got shrimp
out the chacuterery board. It just suspected me. I think
it's five years good to hear about how that killed
a bunch of people. But anyway, so which has real
especially now what I'm about to tell you. So I
go to help load the drinks and I hear Stacy yell,
no bananas, which is the name of this old cat
(28:33):
that jumped up on the chacuterie board and ate some
of the shrimp off the chacuti board. So she grabs
the cat after a couple of seconds and takes the
cat off the kitchen and puts it like I guess,
and they put it in a different bedroom. So we
leave and we go to the party. And then later
Stacy said that they did not throw out the chakutery board,
(28:54):
they just left it out there for the guests.
Speaker 5 (28:55):
Well, Payne just covered her mouth.
Speaker 7 (28:56):
Well, I think that's disgusting.
Speaker 6 (28:58):
I think that as someone that has had a cat before,
like you have to be very very clean because cat
hair gets everywhere, same with dogs. But you guys, remember
just a couple of months ago when I said I
don't eat at potlucks because you don't know what people
do at their house, right, That's exactly why that is disgusting.
Speaker 8 (29:14):
Doesn't bother me either, and I had a cat before
I grew up with cats, and we used to let
them walk all over the kitchen table when we would eat.
Baby up there, give him a little, a little pet,
what's up?
Speaker 7 (29:23):
What's up?
Speaker 8 (29:26):
Like it doesn't bother me at all. My bomb's cat
will jump up on the counter sometimes and she's like, oh, Aspen,
get down, and I'm like, it's fine, give me your aspen,
You're all right.
Speaker 4 (29:34):
I was telling you guys that our dog Pablo knocked
over a couple of hamburger patties I made for my
wife and they fell on the floor and he was
trying to eat, and I grabbed him and I put
him back on the plate and I covered. I was
gonna throw them away, but I waited until I like
know that I made her hamburgers, and then I went
back and I was like, I'm gonna eat these hamburgers.
And I went back with there was like hair on
them whatever it was on the floor, and the dog
(29:56):
took a half a bite. I still would have done it.
Speaker 7 (29:59):
I might be okay if it was my cat, but
if it's my neighbor's cat or cat, you don't know, Like,
and I've seen the cat the cat is kind of
a little busted.
Speaker 4 (30:06):
Anyway, when you told that story, say exactly what Stacy
said that you heard her say. She wrote, oh, no bananas,
no bananas. Yeah, And I thought like someone handed her
a milkshake they had.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
Kyle.
Speaker 8 (30:27):
I thought that she had someone put bananas on the
charcotery board and she was saying no, because they're brown
by the time that people are going to get there,
they're gonna be brown.
Speaker 7 (30:35):
But the shot bart we're driving, we're driving home from
our event. I'm like, I assume they threw away that food, right,
and it's quite in the car, and she's like, no,
they did not off like they let people eat.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
That is that where I saw her on your You know,
you rarely post on stories, so when you do post,
I go wood a ridge post and I saw you
say that she got a Well, there's a couple things
in the video. One as you were wearing a shirt
with those leaves, which I may be uncomfortable. And then
the other one was.
Speaker 5 (31:07):
You said that Stacy bought a karaoke machine.
Speaker 7 (31:10):
I was so excited. I thought, we're gonna have a
karaoke night at the house. She got unwrapping the karaoke machine,
and she was testing it out last night, which is
what my video was because what you were hearing every
now and then was a really loud feedback Hello, Hello, Hello.
So that's what I was trying to capture is or
set up the karaoke machine. But it's not for us
(31:30):
to have fun. It's for some pageant things she's got
to do. Oh, she wants to make announcements. So we
were going to bed last night and said, I think
it would be great. I've played guitar for you so
often in this house. I think it would be great
every now and then, like at bedtime, if you bust
out a show too.
Speaker 8 (31:47):
Would you like that? Because okay, I would like that
we have a karaoke machine at our house. And like
sometimes I don't really do it as much anymore, but
like my son, he really enjoys it, so he'll want
to get the microphones out, you know whatever. And Scott
used to always sort of like participate and hang out,
and now I've noticed he just leaves. But I'm like, oh, okay,
(32:07):
you are. You're telling me physically how you feel about
this without actually saying it.
Speaker 7 (32:12):
I want it. I want it to happen I think
it'd be fun. I mean one show too, and I
don't need a whole night for sure too.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
So when you go home, do you change clothes out
of like radio show clothes.
Speaker 5 (32:20):
To hang out?
Speaker 7 (32:21):
I just got back from a walk.
Speaker 5 (32:23):
Yeah it was. It was uncomfortable.
Speaker 8 (32:24):
Do you wear what you wear to work when you
go hike with your dad, like jeans and your shirt?
Speaker 4 (32:28):
No, I just change my shorts, but I'll put on
the shirt, whatever shirt I have on or I have.
I'll even sleep in the shirt and wear it in
the morning.
Speaker 2 (32:35):
Hey, dummy, if you did Free Roses, it's a trap.
War of the Roses starts right now on John Jay
and Ridge.
Speaker 4 (32:43):
Well t have for War of the Roses. Amanda thinks
somebody's cheating on her. We're gonna talk to Amanda find
out why she thinks that. Then we're gonna call the
person a man. Is he your husband or is it
your boyfriend? Who is it?
Speaker 2 (32:53):
Hey?
Speaker 10 (32:54):
So it's my husband?
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Okay, So we want to hear your story.
Speaker 4 (32:57):
Then we're gonna call your husband and we're gonna say, hey, man,
who do you want to send these flowers to?
Speaker 5 (33:02):
Hopefully he says it to you, Amanda. So what's your story.
Speaker 14 (33:05):
So I was.
Speaker 10 (33:06):
Doing a deep cleaning of my house the other day,
you know, deep spring and cleaning, flipping up all the
cushions and vacuumly underneath. And so I'm washing the sheets
on the bed and I've decided to flip the mattress,
and underneath the mattress, I found something that just has
me completely sick to my stomach. It is a belly
button rank, which is definitely not online. I've had my
(33:30):
belly button parson probably over fifteen years. So where did
it come from? Because if you're as hell, didn't just
like magically appear in our mattress. So my husband, though
like he's been acting completely normal. I will say, nothing
seems off, no weird behavior. Well, okay, no weird behavior
(33:50):
this time. But here's the thing that's got me suspicious.
So a few months ago I caught him texting some
girl that he works with, and it was flirty and
I thought it was appropriate, and it was enough at
the time to kind of make me lose my mind.
And he's wore up and down that you know, nothing
ever happened between them, and that it was just texting.
But you know, now now fighting this belly button ring.
(34:14):
I'm wondering like if that was a lie, because if
this belly button ring isn't mine, then who the hell
is it? And how to end up in our bed?
So I just need to know the truth, I guess.
Speaker 5 (34:25):
May I ask a quick question?
Speaker 10 (34:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (34:28):
Do belly button rings look different than those rings and
ear rings?
Speaker 8 (34:32):
Oh?
Speaker 10 (34:33):
For sure? Like a nose ring is actually have a
noose ring and I just wear like a little stud.
But some people can do like a loop. But like
a belly button ring, it's like a like a bar
and this one has like a little dangly, little kind
of gem on the end. So yeah, it's very different.
Speaker 6 (34:50):
Yeah, I mean you know when you see a belly
button ring for sure?
Speaker 13 (34:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (34:54):
Yeah. And I've had so many belly button rings that
I've just fallen off in.
Speaker 7 (34:57):
Bed in general, So do yours?
Speaker 6 (35:00):
No, it couldn't be mine. I was not with your man.
Speaker 7 (35:04):
You have had a pierced belly button?
Speaker 10 (35:07):
Yeah, yeah, fifteen years ago. I don't worn a belly button.
I've had three kids. I don't wear a belly button
with a little dangly.
Speaker 7 (35:15):
Yeah. How often do you flip your mattress? Has it
been fifteen years because everybody thinks they just did it
last month and it's always been years.
Speaker 10 (35:21):
No, No, I mean listen, I probably don't put my
mattress and every're like, you know, twice a year.
Speaker 8 (35:27):
But still there's a jewelry that you would recognize if
it were your own, you would Yeah, Hey, do you
have a belly butt ring right now?
Speaker 5 (35:34):
I forget And Kyle, you have one right now? Too.
Speaker 7 (35:36):
Blows my mind every time.
Speaker 5 (35:37):
I don't know, I just if you before she's a
freak show.
Speaker 8 (35:43):
Don't put the belly leon ring in. It just looks
like stretched.
Speaker 5 (35:46):
Skins before the stuff she would say on here mind
bottling it?
Speaker 3 (35:52):
Just I think what blows my mind?
Speaker 7 (35:53):
Kyle?
Speaker 6 (35:54):
It's like I just don't see you wearing a belly
button like I just I don't know why, I just don't.
It's the kind of the same thing like I feel
like if you see me with sweatpants on a hoodie on,
you wouldn't know that I have a whole half sleeve,
like you know what I mean, that's the vibe I get.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
Okay, you know what.
Speaker 4 (36:08):
I was having a lunch with a friend of mine.
I was having a lunch with a friend of mine
yesterday and he says to me. He goes, you know,
I was on Facebook, and he goes, and I saw
a video from your feed. And after you describe the video,
it's not my feed, it's a John Jay and Rich
to listen to our show ad. Listen to our podcast ad,
and it's Kyle in a bikini jumping into my cold plunge.
Speaker 8 (36:27):
That day was terrible.
Speaker 4 (36:28):
It was a terrible day, but it was great. It's
like the biggest ad in the history of Facebook.
Speaker 7 (36:32):
We've never had such.
Speaker 4 (36:33):
I don't even know how to find the ad, but
I thought it'd be great. I could find that ad
and see if you could see your belly button ring issues.
Speaker 8 (36:37):
Jump it in there, because I've never put it back
in there yet.
Speaker 5 (36:40):
You take them in an how I thought you leave
them more.
Speaker 6 (36:42):
No.
Speaker 8 (36:42):
I had had it in for a long time and
then I had kids, just like a man I was
talking about, and then didn't put it in for a
really long time. And then I just hated the little
hole that it left because it's like saggy's skin for
my skin stretching from having baby. So I thought maybe
I put it in it kind of conceals it, and
it does. So that's why so I.
Speaker 4 (37:00):
Need to get a belly but ring. Oh my gosh, well, Amanda,
that you have a very good reason to find out cheating.
Speaker 5 (37:09):
Yeah, so are you you're okay?
Speaker 4 (37:10):
Then you're totally fine us calling him up asking him
who's going to send the roses to and you just
listen and we find out who he does.
Speaker 10 (37:18):
Okay, I'm nervous, but yeah, all.
Speaker 4 (37:21):
Right, you guys ready. War the Roses continues next with
John Jay and Rich. John Jay and Rich, we are
like a whole lot John Jay and Rich. In the
middle of War of the Roses, really interesting War of
the Roses. Amanda is on the line her husband and
by the way, a man with your husban's name, Glenn.
Glenn Well, I guess a long time ago was kind
of flirting with the coworker. She called him out, and
(37:43):
she called him out right, and he says it was
nothing whatever, So you believed him.
Speaker 5 (37:46):
Since then, your marriage has been fine.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
But when you were doing some spring cleaning, you were
flipping the mattress and you found a belly button ring.
Speaker 5 (37:56):
And now you're concerned, Yeah, because you used to have them, right, Okay,
So we're gonna call them and see what we sends
flowers to you. Ready, Colin Fudg, I'm ready?
Speaker 11 (38:15):
Hello, good morning.
Speaker 8 (38:17):
Is Glenn available?
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (38:19):
This is Glenn perfect.
Speaker 8 (38:21):
It's kind of your lucky day. So Glenn, my name
is Gracie and with a new company, we're called JNR Flowers.
Remember that that's what this is all about. And we
have a really cool social media campaign where you've been
chosen to be a micro influencer for us, which basically
just means you get to send our most romantic bouquet
of flowers to whoever wan like, whoever you want, anywhere
you want, totally free, and all we kind of ask
in return is that you help spread the word about
(38:42):
JANR Flowers on whichever social media platform you use the most.
So we get some marketing out of it, and you
get to send someone special a dozen red roses. They
come in a crystal vase. It is like a gorgeous
super thing. And like I said, it's totally free for you.
Speaker 16 (38:56):
Totally free.
Speaker 8 (38:57):
Well, because I mean we're getting some marketing out of it.
You help spread the words. So but I'm not going
to charge you, not going to send you a bill.
I won't chase you down for your credit card number.
Or anything like that.
Speaker 16 (39:07):
All right, great, Yeah that sounds awesome things.
Speaker 8 (39:10):
Yeah, for sure. It's like I said, it's a really
cool opportunity. I don't really need any information from you
other than like the message you want to write on
the card we send it out with, like this little card.
I always just tell people this is your chance to
personalize it. It is a romantic bouquet. But you know,
if you're a little more sappy, or if lovey dovey
or more flirty, this is where you can like, you know,
sort of shine in this gift that you'll be sending.
(39:31):
So let me know the message that you want on it,
and then I can get like name and address and
tell you when they'll be sent out.
Speaker 16 (39:37):
Awesome. Yeah, all right, let's go with you make everything
feel exciting. I just know you're always on my mind.
Speaker 8 (39:49):
Oh, you're always on my mind. Perfect. That's a really
great message, maybe the best one I've seen all day. Okay, So,
and then do you want like a love Glenn or
what sort of salutation on that?
Speaker 1 (40:01):
Yeah?
Speaker 16 (40:01):
Yeah, I love Bloom that would be great.
Speaker 8 (40:03):
Perfect. And then who did you want me to address
this to?
Speaker 16 (40:07):
Oh that's easy, but my wife Amanda.
Speaker 10 (40:11):
Hey, Glenn. Glenn, it's Amanda, Hie.
Speaker 1 (40:17):
I can't believe you.
Speaker 10 (40:18):
Were sending me flowers. That is so sweet.
Speaker 4 (40:23):
Jumping really quick, so just see my son confusing. That
is your wife and you're you're on a radio show.
You're on John Day and rich on War of the Roses.
Speaker 16 (40:33):
Okay, why Amanda, what's going on?
Speaker 1 (40:40):
Okay?
Speaker 10 (40:41):
So okay, well, okay, this kind of backfirt Okay, I
set this whole thing up. I am growing off that
you sent the flowers to me because I don't know, well,
I kind of founded like for a secondary you were
going to maybe send them to someone else.
Speaker 16 (40:58):
What No, No, Amanda, of course not. They're always for you.
Speaker 11 (41:04):
What do you what is going on here?
Speaker 13 (41:07):
Okay?
Speaker 10 (41:07):
Well, okay, that is funny, okay, Glenn, because okay, I
was actually calling for a different reason. And okay, so
basically things haven't been adding up to me about something,
and I just need you to explain to me why
I found a belly button ring in our bed. What
(41:30):
a belly button ring? Like right under the mattress when
I was cleaning and I was spring cleaning and I
slipped the mattress, Glenn, And you know, I have a
kind of belly button pierce in fifteen years. So tell me, like,
whose belly button ring is this? Because I I don't
know things have been fishy I have I have.
Speaker 16 (41:47):
No idea, Amanda. I swear I have never cheated on you.
I do not know where that belly button ring came from,
right right?
Speaker 10 (41:55):
Okay, Well this sounds a little like how you did it, know,
while you were texting that girl from work a few
months ago and see me really upset?
Speaker 16 (42:05):
And come on, I was, She's just a friend.
Speaker 11 (42:07):
It's already.
Speaker 16 (42:07):
I have no idea where that that belly button ring.
What's a belly button ring?
Speaker 10 (42:14):
A belly button ring with like a pink dangly chain
thing on it. Oh my god, wait wait wait, wait,
wait a second, but.
Speaker 14 (42:25):
Glenn, Okay, this is amarrasing. November when we went away
a couple of weekends ago and we left Casey at
the house. Casey's my seventeen year old daughter.
Speaker 16 (42:36):
You guys, yeah, oh god, oh no.
Speaker 14 (42:41):
Tell me like a month ago that she has their
belly button pierce.
Speaker 10 (42:46):
And she did.
Speaker 16 (42:47):
No, no, no, oh my god, no, no, no, no,
you You've got to be kidding.
Speaker 3 (42:53):
Oh god, Oh, but where's.
Speaker 5 (42:58):
Your brain going? What do you mean when you keep like,
where's your brain going?
Speaker 11 (43:06):
That means oh, well.
Speaker 10 (43:08):
That means she was going to bed, So that's oh god,
we were.
Speaker 6 (43:12):
Out of town.
Speaker 16 (43:13):
No, no, no, nope, nope, nope.
Speaker 7 (43:16):
And there is enough activity that it got shook loose.
Speaker 8 (43:19):
Doesn't need that much activity. I like, you could just
be sleeping, like like does she have a boyfriend? She
invites over something like why are you guys going straight?
Hair billy?
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Buts fall off.
Speaker 8 (43:32):
When you're just peacefully sleeping, like a lot of action.
Speaker 10 (43:39):
Because I already washed the sheets and I found a
funky ass stain on the sho No, my god, this
is so embarrassed. This is disgusting. I'm going to burn
the mattress. I'm going to burn the house. Obviously, Glenn.
We have a lot to talk to her about.
Speaker 7 (43:59):
This is but Glenn's innocent, right.
Speaker 5 (44:03):
But the daughter they think now is tearing it up
in their bedroom.
Speaker 7 (44:06):
I think I would rather think that my spouse is
cheating them.
Speaker 8 (44:11):
Just think, oh, my daughter missed me so much she
wanted to sleep in our bed while we were gone.
Guess they're going straight there It means they know more?
Speaker 6 (44:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean because I think like, I
think parents know. I mean, I mean my mom knew.
The day after. I was like, how did you know what?
I sort of cry, sneaky?
Speaker 8 (44:33):
Why do it in your parents' bed?
Speaker 5 (44:37):
You lost your virginity? Your mom knew? Yeah, But they're
not saying that she lost it.
Speaker 6 (44:40):
I mean, oh, I'm saying that they probably know that
their daughter is having sex, is what I'm saying.
Speaker 7 (44:46):
So now that's why they're.
Speaker 6 (44:50):
Like, I can't understand why they would think that their
daughter's having sex in their bed while they were gone.
If they know their daughter's having sex but she probably is, well,
oh my god.
Speaker 4 (45:03):
I remember my parents got turned up in their bed
all the time because that was like that was like
the VIP bedroom.
Speaker 5 (45:09):
That was that was the nicer bed. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (45:15):
I would never because I'm sure my parents have done
it in that bed, and that is gross.
Speaker 5 (45:20):
Did in your bed?
Speaker 3 (45:21):
They probably did?
Speaker 8 (45:22):
Yeah, just went totally sideways.
Speaker 7 (45:25):
Yeah, this really backfired for everybody involved.
Speaker 14 (45:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 7 (45:29):
Yeah, sorry, Glenn. Did you had to hear all that?
Speaker 10 (45:32):
Glynn?
Speaker 11 (45:33):
I I I we got to talk.
Speaker 4 (45:37):
Yeah, well listen. We want to thank you guys for
going on the radio with us. Man, thank you so much.
Speaker 16 (45:42):
Oh, thank you.
Speaker 5 (45:43):
All right, all right, God bless.
Speaker 4 (45:45):
That's War the Roses, A very different War of the Roses,
one of those that might you might think about all
day today.
Speaker 5 (45:50):
It's John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Eight seven seven nine three seven one four seven.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
It's John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 5 (45:59):
Okay, so I got to take something.
Speaker 4 (46:01):
Something happened, and I don't usually do this where I
laugh at something that I did later on in the day.
It's very rich, like no where you laugh at something
that rich laugh ceters own stuff so hilarious. We were
in this meeting yesterday that I set up. I set
up the meeting. Let's just say there was eight people
in the meeting. I thought the meeting was at ten,
(46:23):
but the meeting was at ten thirty. I had to
be somewhere at eleven. I was gonna work out. I'd
work out eleven and if I cancel the workout, it
cost me eighty bucks.
Speaker 5 (46:32):
Right.
Speaker 4 (46:32):
So I'm in the meeting and I say, right when
the meeting starts, hey, I might have to leave.
Speaker 5 (46:37):
A little early. And the people at the meeting are like, well.
Speaker 4 (46:40):
And I actually texted our boss who was in the
meeting before the meeting. I said, Hey, is it cool
if I leave the meeting early, he goes the meeting
that you set up, and I was like yeah, and
he's like, I guess. So, so I don't want to
ever lie, right, I don't. I don't want to lie,
and I'm never I'm trying as much as I can,
never ever ever lie. I want to tell the truth.
So I didn't want to say. But I also didn't
(47:00):
want to say, hey, I gotta go. You guys are
in this meeting. I got to work out, right, it
sounds kind of lame. So when it was time to
get up, I got up and I go, all right, man,
I gotta go, and what's going on? And I said,
long story, my wife's in New York.
Speaker 5 (47:17):
And I left. Those are true, those are.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
True statements, but have nothing to do with why I'm
leaving the meeting.
Speaker 5 (47:25):
So I left the meeting.
Speaker 4 (47:26):
I left and I made it to my workout, and
in the middle workout, I just started laughing, and then
my trains like, what are you laughing at it? I
go and I did this whole explain everything to him
and I go, I didn't lie, I said, I said,
you literally just I just made I said two true
statements and left and it worked.
Speaker 3 (47:42):
It worked.
Speaker 8 (47:43):
But everyone there was probably like, what is his deal?
Speaker 1 (47:46):
Right?
Speaker 7 (47:46):
Yea, our boss and I exchanged the race eyebrows was like, okay,
I thought it was funny too good.
Speaker 4 (47:54):
Good good, because I was just kind of like I
got a little tickle out of myself.
Speaker 7 (47:59):
It wouldn't be the first time that you launched some
sort of like a thing in a meeting and then
walked out like Richel handling, So I don't working out.
Speaker 5 (48:08):
I called rich I was like, how's the rest of
the meeting?
Speaker 8 (48:11):
Did you even stay for any of it?
Speaker 5 (48:13):
Just the first five minutes you were there?
Speaker 7 (48:16):
You were there first, the whole meeting you were meeting you.
Speaker 4 (48:18):
Started ten to thirty. I got to my appointment at eleven,
and it's a twenty minute drive.
Speaker 7 (48:22):
Okay, I thought you were there for a like at
least half.
Speaker 5 (48:24):
Of the meeting all as it left, it ended right
when I know at any rate.
Speaker 4 (48:28):
Uh So that I got to tell you something else
that my son Jake, he's been coming home, you know.
He he goes to the University of Arizona and he
comes home lately, uh, just because he's got nothing going on,
and it's he does have classes on Friday, so he
comes on Thursday and last week he came home and
I remember Kyle brought up a party one time, a
theme of I think it was a chacrudery board party, right,
and then Blake was like, oh my god, what a
(48:50):
great idea.
Speaker 5 (48:50):
And then Blake had a checurity board party.
Speaker 4 (48:53):
So Jake had a big party at a friend's out
there right at Airbnb, and they had a party, and
I thought the was so unique. I'd never heard of
this scene before. Now when I tell you guys this theme,
you maybe you're gonna go, oh my god, Yeah, we
do those all the time. I never heard of this
then before, and I actually thought I got to bring
this up on the air because I think Kyle would
do this theme. So the theme is you have a party,
(49:14):
but you dress like you're going to the wrong party.
It's like people are showed up in pajamas. People are
showed up like they're at a wedding. People are showing up.
Speaker 8 (49:21):
So you is there like a certain theme and that
you have to avoid no, or.
Speaker 4 (49:24):
You just come The party theme is you just showed
up and you're dressed wrong?
Speaker 3 (49:29):
Okay?
Speaker 8 (49:29):
Is that some people are like informal with some people
are in costume.
Speaker 5 (49:33):
Yeah, yeah, funny.
Speaker 7 (49:34):
I thought it was just for no reason.
Speaker 4 (49:36):
Yes, that's show up as a couple and your dress
is eighties that you show a couple of your pajama's.
Speaker 7 (49:41):
Night like that, and it leaves it open because you
got you've got something in your closet that's not gonna fit. Total.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
So Jake and his friend with like they were Fishermen,
and then I was like, I've never really heard of
a Fisherman party before.
Speaker 5 (49:52):
That's but I'm not going to get into the argument with.
Speaker 8 (49:54):
You that.
Speaker 5 (49:57):
People show up on a party with a fishing poland hooks.
I don't think so, But okay, I get it. Maybe
it's a Halloween costume. But anyway I thought I thought
it was just very, very different and very do.
Speaker 8 (50:06):
You like Fisherman for like a best Pro Shop party.
Speaker 4 (50:09):
Yeah, that's how they dressed, like the work that they had,
the Fisherman hat they had. But I was like, that's
not a you mean like a staff party, like you
work in Bess Pro shops and the rams that stuff.
Speaker 5 (50:18):
Brothers.
Speaker 7 (50:18):
Basically, what they did is they just said it's Halloween.
Speaker 8 (50:21):
But the great is like, yeah, you can dress anything.
Speaker 4 (50:24):
That's anything. And that was and he was a very big, big,
big hit he said. And then he said told me
that they bought a keg. I was like, oh great,
and I was good it was there probably a lot
of leftover. He's like, no, there was none leftover. Oh damn,
damn man, you guys are not a party. It's John
Jay and Rich.
Speaker 3 (50:39):
It's the John Jay and Rich radio program. Two names,
four hosts, and a whole lot of fun eats John
Jay and Rich.
Speaker 4 (50:48):
Forget this that Jonah's brothers have announced a dates so
their upcoming twentieth anniversary tour. I remember the conversation with
the guy that handles the Jonah's Brothers saying, there's this
new band the others, can you guys please interview them?
And were like, a dude, do you remember that very much?
And we were like, come on, because the brand new
nobody cares. I remember we had just kind of started,
(51:09):
we maybe being on the air a year or two,
and I was like, dude, we're too new of a
show to pun on the band no one's ever heard
of before. But we did it. And then we moved
up to Phoenix that was in Tucson, and we moved
the Phoenix. We had him and again right there in
the corner. And then we've had him in some Out
of all the artists I think that are in the world,
I think we've done more things with the Jonahs' brothers
than any other artists, would you agree.
Speaker 7 (51:27):
Yeah, And we did a little concert with them in
the parking lot of Oh we have Tucson soon, just
on the back of a truck.
Speaker 5 (51:34):
That was another time.
Speaker 4 (51:35):
Yeah, And then and then they did Fusan and then
I remember then Joe was hanging out here one time
in our other office back there.
Speaker 7 (51:40):
Then we did the Marquis with the Jonas brothers.
Speaker 6 (51:43):
In my face, why don't you keep on keep on
bringing it?
Speaker 4 (51:46):
Here's the thing thats me away. They're they're going on tour.
It's their twentieth anniversary.
Speaker 7 (51:52):
That doesn't make sense to me.
Speaker 4 (51:53):
What the hell that is crazy? Now there's something even
extra cool with this. And the college is about your husband.
Speaker 8 (52:00):
So I shared with you guys on their last tour.
My husband does like radio and TV voiceovers, so he's
like the guy on the news that tells you, you
know you have danger driving into work, here's why. And
he also has started doing a bunch of like concert
tours so he will audition if Beyonce is going on
tour or whoever. And the last time the Joe Bros
(52:23):
went on tour, he got hired to be the voice
of the tour and they ended up literally posting his
voice on their social media.
Speaker 5 (52:33):
Happiness is that showed up.
Speaker 9 (52:36):
Brothers Live in Vegas for five exclusive summer nights you
won't want to miss at Doby Live at Park MGS.
Speaker 8 (52:46):
That's him so cool and it was cool because like
it's the post, Joe Bros Are like pointing at the sound, like, ah,
that's us. They were so excited that he was announcing
the tour. So he got word that they were doing
another tour and he had to audition for it and
they picked him again.
Speaker 3 (53:03):
Twenty years of Jonas living the dream too.
Speaker 5 (53:07):
I'm so performing Nick.
Speaker 9 (53:09):
Solo and the Administration, Joe and Dnce and Big Jonas, Brothers, Kevin, Nick.
Speaker 5 (53:16):
And Joe Stresses.
Speaker 9 (53:18):
Together with Marshmallows the greatest celebration of Shonas ever in
one incredible show. Get tickets this Friday at ten am
at Live Nation dot com.
Speaker 6 (53:29):
That's my husband.
Speaker 5 (53:30):
That commercial.
Speaker 8 (53:32):
Everywhere every city that the tour stops in, he does
he Records a different commercial that says what city is?
Speaker 6 (53:40):
Yeah, that's that's so awesome. Do your kids know how
cool their parents are?
Speaker 7 (53:44):
This is I don't think.
Speaker 8 (53:46):
I don't think we're very cool, but that is a
cool thing. And they do get excited about like the
artists that they know. Okay, they didn't really care about
like Bruce Springsteen, right right, makes sense.
Speaker 4 (53:56):
You know what's interesting is I knew Nick Win solo.
I didn't know it's called Nick in the administration that.
Speaker 7 (54:01):
Think, Oh yeah, I didn't know that either.
Speaker 4 (54:02):
I mean I know d nce Yeah, right, So that's
kind of cool that they're going to play all those songs.
And then it was like kind of Kevin really didn't
do anything and Nick and the administration, Joe A d Ncee,
Kevin and his wife and kids from entertain Kevin.
Speaker 2 (54:20):
If Chaos was a radio show, you're listening to it,
it's John Jay and Rich.
Speaker 4 (54:26):
I got a DM from Nicole and she needs advice,
and I find this so interesting, so I asked her
to come on the air with us.
Speaker 1 (54:33):
Hi, Nicole, Hi, how are you good?
Speaker 5 (54:37):
How are you?
Speaker 1 (54:39):
I'm okay, I'm a little I don't know how to
feel about my situation with my husband, so hoping you
guys can help.
Speaker 5 (54:46):
So what is your situation? How can we help you? Nicole?
Speaker 1 (54:49):
My husband's birthday was this past week, and for months
he's been talking about the total lunary clips, the one
that happened on Friday, the blood moon, and how he
wanted to camp and see the eclipse under the stars.
So I spent the past few months like planning, getting
tents and camping things. We have three kids, so making
(55:11):
sure everything's ready for our trip. A couple weeks before
the trip, we found out whether at our campsite wasn't
going to allow us to see the eclipse, so I
had to change the location. So then Wednesday we leave
to go on our camping trip. We get to our campsite,
we set up, everything is great, you know, I have
everything for his birthday, stakes and balloons, all that stuff.
(55:36):
We get there, we camp the first night, it's great.
The second day we wake up and it's really really windy,
and this is the day of the eclipse, so the
eclipse is going to be that night. I spent the
whole day trying to wind proof our tent and put
the guidelines in and stuff like that. So that the
wind doesn't like blow everything away. And it was just
a crazy day because it was windy and we weren't
(55:58):
expecting that, so we didn't get to do the things
we wanted to do, but we got to see the eclips.
My kids were asleep, of course, but me and my
husband were laying out under the stars. We saw the eclipse.
It was great. The next morning, which was actually his birthday,
we woke up and he was like, well, I think
we should head home because it was still windy and
(56:20):
cold for us. So we pack everything up and we
head back home towards flag Staff and all the highways
are closed, so we had to stop and stay in
a hotel in Prescott. It was his birthday. I still
had his cake. And then Saturday we wake up, the
freeways are open. We come home, and at this point
(56:42):
I'm just like exhausted physically, emotionally, like everything exhausted. So
we're unpacking everything and I just kind of, you know,
keep to myself. I like to do puzzles, so I
was in my room doing puzzles a lot over the weekend,
and so Sunday night ish, my husbands started it's acting
really weird, like he's upset, and he said, you know,
(57:04):
I'm just a little feeling a little sad. And I
was like, okay, I'm sorry. And so the next morning
he says, oh, I want to talk to you, and
I said, okay, well I got.
Speaker 5 (57:14):
To go to work.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
So I left for work. We do the whole day.
I come home from work, the kids are asleep, and
he says that he is sad that I didn't do
anything for his birthday. I didn't have balloons, I didn't
make a huge deal out of it, and he's upset
(57:38):
even though I put him the camping trip. And so
I don't really know how to feel about it, because
I was planning on doing a little like cake and
a few gifts today, but after his reaction and behavior
on Monday, I don't really want to. So I was
just wondering what you guys thought about the conver fation.
Speaker 8 (58:01):
I feel like you put in a lot of effort
for his birthday. Planning a trip, and especially like packing
everything for three kids for a normal trip outside of
a camping trip is a lot of work. Your plans
changed when you were gonna go home, you still did
a celebration in the hotel room, Like what more does
he want?
Speaker 1 (58:15):
I don't know. I make a big deal out of
birthdays because I never celebrated birthdays when I was a kid,
so like I always make a big deal. And he
was like, there was no balloons he expected me to do, Like.
Speaker 8 (58:28):
Another supposed to go somewhere in Prescote and frite a balloon?
Speaker 1 (58:31):
Place?
Speaker 7 (58:31):
Is he turning seven?
Speaker 6 (58:32):
That's what I was gonna ask.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
I'm like, how much we're almost forty? Like I don't understand.
And he was like, well, when we got home, you
could have like done something. And I'm like, well, I
was going.
Speaker 8 (58:45):
To, but sounds.
Speaker 2 (58:48):
Weird because I did this thing for his birthday, right,
Like did you forget about that?
Speaker 4 (58:52):
It's like I'm doing my birthdays in September and I'm
doing something in two weeks and my wife's like, well,
that can be your birthday present. I'm like, hell yeah,
So when it comes to my birth birthday, I'll be like, oh,
you did that thing a few months ago, Like like,
I don't understand.
Speaker 6 (59:04):
So you had said that you go big on on
birthdays because you didn't really celebrate them as a kid.
How was his birthdays growing up?
Speaker 1 (59:13):
I mean they had parties, it wasn't like a huge,
huge deal, but you know the normal kid's birthday parties.
Speaker 8 (59:20):
Does he usually go all out your birthday?
Speaker 1 (59:23):
All out for like like the kids like I make
little T shirts for their birthday parties, Like I like,
I do go all out, but these are for the kids.
For him, I normally have like little decorations and stuff,
you all out.
Speaker 5 (59:38):
I feel like, can we call him?
Speaker 1 (59:40):
Can we call him? I don't know, he will probably
get upset, but sure.
Speaker 8 (59:47):
We don't want to make it.
Speaker 7 (59:47):
Yeah, they don't want to fall back.
Speaker 5 (59:49):
I feel like a missing something like this.
Speaker 8 (59:51):
That's why I asked, does he usually go all out
for your birthday? And he feels like somehow that wasn't
recuper gad because on the actual day, but play changed
saying is I'm trying to give him the benefit out.
I'm trying to see his point of it. He usually
goes all out and does something like we're going for
a trip, but then on your actual day it's a
big deal to him for some reason, we would be missing.
Speaker 7 (01:00:11):
It's like we did a T shirts.
Speaker 4 (01:00:12):
You know, second up date are leaving something out, and
they usually are leaving something out. It doesn't make sense,
like if we call him, is he gonna be like, oh, yeah,
she brought her boyfriend with her, Like you know what
I mean, Like, what do we what are.
Speaker 1 (01:00:23):
We missing my other other husband? No, I like, this
is the entire story. He was very upset that I
didn't do like something when we came back, since the
day of his birthday it was so hectic with the
storm and everything.
Speaker 5 (01:00:38):
But is there another occasion?
Speaker 4 (01:00:41):
Like maybe he thought it's for another occasion that weekend
that you planned. It's not for his birthday, although you
had birthday.
Speaker 5 (01:00:47):
I know, I understand that, Rembert. That's what I'm saying.
We're missing something.
Speaker 6 (01:00:51):
I don't think we're missing anything. I think he just
sounds very ungrateful that your whole.
Speaker 5 (01:00:56):
Marriage is the first time something like does this happened?
Speaker 1 (01:00:59):
I mean like like this, like I've done this much
work and I and he just doesn't seem like he
was like, Oh, I appreciate that you did the camping trip,
but why didn't you do these other things?
Speaker 7 (01:01:12):
Oh yeah. I don't like his attitude unless you guys
had a big fight and you're like, oh, I'm never
taking his family anywherever I got. And then he's feeling
a little certain way about that. Did that fight happen? No?
Speaker 1 (01:01:24):
No, no, I mean okay, even in the trip, even
when everything was stressful, he's like, we're having an adventure,
and you know that's what he's telling the kids.
Speaker 10 (01:01:32):
Like.
Speaker 1 (01:01:32):
He was never like upset or never seemed upset about
the situation. He seemed very happy when I brought the
the cake I had out in the hotel.
Speaker 7 (01:01:42):
He should be accepted. You don't have balloons.
Speaker 4 (01:01:44):
Like hold on, if you step back for a second,
there was a lot of good things that happened in
the story as far as your relationship goes. He's like, hey,
can I talk to you? Like he his forget what
the context was. The fact that he was like, I
have a problem. Can I bring it up to you?
That's a bit step, that's communication. That's okay, I have
an issue. You didn't do something for my birthday, so
I feel like we're missing something. So if you would mind,
(01:02:06):
I think we should call him and we'll try to
be very gentle and ask his opinion. Unless you don't
feel comfortable with it, we can call him.
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
We could totally call him. I just I don't know
how to feel, and I'm like, I'm kind of upset,
but I don't want to be upset with him.
Speaker 7 (01:02:22):
For him. You're like, You're like, I already did what
I was going to do for you, and you'd appreciate that,
So why would I do more?
Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
Yeah?
Speaker 8 (01:02:30):
I think we got to approach it like in the
interest of like healthy communication totally.
Speaker 7 (01:02:35):
What's his name, Nicole, David, David David birthday? David?
Speaker 11 (01:02:42):
Hey?
Speaker 5 (01:02:42):
Does he know you listen to our show?
Speaker 8 (01:02:44):
He does?
Speaker 5 (01:02:47):
David.
Speaker 4 (01:02:49):
Hey, it's John Jay and Rich the radio show. Can
we talk to you for a second on the radio?
Speaker 5 (01:02:54):
Sure? Okay, do we wake you up?
Speaker 1 (01:02:57):
Clinda? Who's talking to you right now?
Speaker 5 (01:02:58):
This is John Jay right now? But you have of Rich,
Kyle Peyton were all here, okay, Hey, happy birthday. Your birthday?
Oh thank you. Yeah. So you guys went out and
looked at the whole lunary clips. That was awesome.
Speaker 7 (01:03:13):
I heard it was great.
Speaker 5 (01:03:15):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (01:03:15):
So your wife called us. She loves you, she thinks
you're amazing. Okay, and she was telling us about the
camping trip and when she put together for your birthday.
And by the way, she told us how you said, Hey,
can I talk to you? You wanted to talk to her
about something you were a little let down about her birthday?
Right about the birthday surprise she had for you or
the present? Okay, am I right? Yeah? I give you
(01:03:38):
mad props for saying to your wife, can we talk
about something.
Speaker 5 (01:03:41):
I think that's a big step for guys.
Speaker 4 (01:03:42):
So that's some great leadership and being very vulnerable in
my opinion, So congratulations.
Speaker 5 (01:03:48):
Okay, Okay, So here's where I'm going.
Speaker 4 (01:03:52):
She called us for advice because she said you were
unhappy about the birthday, and I.
Speaker 5 (01:03:56):
Feel like we're missing something.
Speaker 4 (01:03:58):
So I was hoping to get your point of view
of why you were upset about the birthday or irritated.
Speaker 5 (01:04:04):
You know, my brother not really get into that on
the radio? Are we but are we missing something? Uh?
Speaker 1 (01:04:11):
Like I said, I'm on the radio.
Speaker 5 (01:04:13):
Okay, Well you and Nicole's with us? Nicole, do you
want to say hide your husband?
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Hi?
Speaker 10 (01:04:17):
David, how were you?
Speaker 1 (01:04:21):
I just really don't like, I don't know what to
think or what to do about the situation, because I'm
just like, I feel like I did so much work
and you didn't appreciate the work I did for your birthday,
and I just don't know how to feel about it. Okay, well,
(01:04:42):
let's talk about group like I mean, I told him
the story. I told them about the trip and how
we had to leave early. It was Wendy, A lot
of stuff went wrong. We stuck in Prescott, and then
we came home and I was keeping to myself because
I was tired. And then you said that you would
(01:05:06):
bother that I didn't do an extra thing for you
when we got home. I should have had streamers or
balloons or T shirts like I do for the kids.
But I feel like I did the whole camping trip,
and I don't understand how it could be a why
didn't you do more?
Speaker 5 (01:05:26):
Come home and talk about it?
Speaker 4 (01:05:27):
Can't you talk about it right here, right now, so
we can give our audience, can get closure? No, I wrote,
what if we give you free tickets to see the
new movie snow White?
Speaker 7 (01:05:39):
No thanks, No, you take.
Speaker 8 (01:05:40):
A kid, I could date night, you could do it
together for your birthday celebration.
Speaker 5 (01:05:45):
I got a run, but I thank thanks to let's
talk at home day.
Speaker 7 (01:05:51):
I mean, oh, you hung up with Nicole?
Speaker 5 (01:05:54):
How long you guys been married?
Speaker 1 (01:05:56):
Twelve years?
Speaker 5 (01:05:58):
Is he a nice guy?
Speaker 8 (01:06:00):
He is?
Speaker 1 (01:06:00):
He's a really he's I mean, he's a great guy.
He's not a bad husband. I just this whole situation
is just a lot and yeah, I don't know, No,
I'm like.
Speaker 7 (01:06:14):
Probably just no, I no, no, no, I don't know
about that. But you know what, it sounds like you
both are tired, and we all know from getting up
super early that if you have a lot of sleep
and you're well rested, that wouldn't bother you at all.
Go completely you know, like seven point five Richter scale
on the earthquake when you're tired. So he might just
(01:06:35):
be overtired and emotional and feel in a certain way
that once you guys get asleep and like you know,
maybe maybe go get some food and hang out a
little bit, he'll probably be fine.
Speaker 8 (01:06:44):
Also, like maybe he was a little caught off guard,
you know what I mean. And sometimes people have this
like stigma out on the radio. Everyone's going to know
it's me. But it's kind of like you were calling
us as like a neutral party to get advice because
you really didn't want to be irrational about it. You
wanted to make sure that you feelings were sort of justified.
And so I think maybe if like he's upset about
the whole talking to you on the radio thing. I
(01:07:06):
would just explain it like I was just trying to
get like third party vice because I really am confused
about this and didn't want to like unnecessarily be upset
with you if you were upset with me.
Speaker 4 (01:07:17):
Okay, if there's anything we can do to make it better,
just let us know.
Speaker 1 (01:07:22):
Okay, Okay, thank you guys so much, so sorry.
Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
Let me call us back and let us know what happened.
Speaker 1 (01:07:28):
Okay, thank you so much, thanks for listening. Bye bye.
Speaker 2 (01:07:32):
