some trailers in our little reaction theater, and as in
the titleist podcast, I'm gonna talk about Dareduvil Born Again,
the penultimate episode of season.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
One and what a twist, What a twistt twist?

Speaker 1 (01:40):
Love it. M night, Cemalan, you know, help Kevin froze again? Kevin, Kevin?
Can you hear me? Kevin? Are you there? I really
hope Kevin comes back in here because the internet's weird,
because more needs to get off the computer because she's
killing the internet and we need to go where did

(02:04):
you everything?

Speaker 3 (02:04):
I just said ago? That was a great song.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
Okay, great, I'm glad you can hear it. Uh yeah,
uh there's internet issues and that's okay. We're gonna roll
with the podcast as much we can go. I think
a certain someone's on the internet right now and it's
bogging me down with a work call.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Oh yeah, the old bandwidth.

Speaker 1 (02:23):
Four thirty is a hard time. Dammit, it's a hard time.
She hasn't listen. But anyway, like I said, Daredevil Borne again.
But you can see we're gonna talk about today and
so much more at infinite underscore pods on the Instagram
or the Act Gonna give it to you or Kevin.
Where can they watch our beautiful faces buffer in real
time when we're recording this podcast.

Speaker 3 (02:45):
You can watch us buffer on Twister dot tv, slush
if an underscore pods and while we're buffering, want us
to chat there too and say hey, you're buffering, hey,
or if you want to watch the buffer on there,
you go to YouTube dot com sash ifnit underscore pods
and watch videos that buffering from almost five years ago,
which is pretty great.

Speaker 1 (02:59):
And if you if you do see us buffer next time,
just just put in the chat buffer and we know immediately, Uh,
the buffer is real. The buffer is real.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Speaking of that, actually I was I was deep scrolling
early on our YouTube but I was bored to work
and I found the video of when Jovy told me
about Donald Glover's character when It's Spider Been Homecoming and
how the leaf I was. It was pretty pretty, pretty.

Speaker 1 (03:23):
Funny, but it's time. Ah, it's good memories there. Uh,
But we always start the podcast properly something we like
to call watch you doing. We're we're talking about the
shows and movies. We've been watching games, we've been playing, lives,
we've been living because of this Thursday yep, bo it
gets to go first and first and foremost when this

(03:44):
podcast airs, A certain someone is turning six and I
just realized, why are all my damn birthdays and all
my family members and friends like a week apart from everybody?
I hate it.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
That spring babies, man, we just like we we just
love the warm. Yeah, what a aprils are a month
that's that's been working to Dabu for the world. Give
the mars shine.

Speaker 1 (04:07):
Because our pet of the pet of the show and
we have Okay, good job, three pets of this show.
Teddy turned six today. Uh when this podcast goes, okay, okay,
all right, so it's his birthdayspe we're celebrating. He's unfortunately
on a diet from the VET, so you can't get
any treats right now. That's okay?

Speaker 3 (04:27):
Good?

Speaker 1 (04:28):
Yeah, I might, I might, I might secretly not tell
Mary she will know, But we're excited.

Speaker 3 (04:36):
I mean, we've had him since he was a pup.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
So it's been really dope since he was been ten months,
so it's really cool. And you're like, damn, Teddy, you're
six old, six years old. You're older than us now
and dog ears, so tell us how it is.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
Tell me how much I need to rearrange my life?
You have? You have wisdom of Teddy.

Speaker 1 (04:52):
What do I have to get my finances in order?

Speaker 3 (04:54):
Can you do my taxes?

Speaker 1 (04:55):
Teddy? But it's his birthday, so that's dope. Obviously they'll
probably be like an Instagram story or something today, most
likely because of him, thinks to Moor and I. But also,
I love this and that's why I keep this damn
calendar of the greatest calendar for the two of us.
Kevin's birthday is next week.

Speaker 3 (05:16):
I don't want to say I'm dreading it, but yeah,
it is next.

Speaker 1 (05:18):
Week, and I love that. I am one of the
last faces you get to see before you go up
in a because we record the day before your birthday.

Speaker 3 (05:28):
You know, it's funny saying that all your friends, Heley
friends are in April. You you're September eighteenth.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Right, seventeenth?

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Yeah, close stuff close seventeenth, So yeah, your seventeenth wife's
the twentieth, so.

Speaker 1 (05:41):
There's gotta be some cosmic zodiac thing going on, that
we have all these damn birthdays that we're all super
close related and all that. But also wait, when, wait
a second, when's Lee's birthday again?

Speaker 3 (05:54):
December?

Speaker 1 (05:54):
So she's December? What though? And in the twenties or
in the teens?

Speaker 3 (05:59):
Eighteenth eighteen?

Speaker 1 (06:00):
Okay, that's like a week before Johns brother johnsburn. What
the hell is it getting? It is getting weird?

Speaker 3 (06:07):
That's fun? Actually, she said the birthday was on cold Boston.

Speaker 1 (06:10):
I mean, hey, what a better birthday to share it with.
Don't worry, Kevin, I'll have birthday facts for you next week,
don't you worry in case you didn't know about your
birthday any dragons September six, Look, everybody's birthdays around the
hard birthdays what it is. But on top of that,
decided for to hang out with him and celebrating. I
have to get the cavities filled tomorrow, so that'd be

(06:33):
not fun you uh me, So I'll be hanging out
loopy with Teddy on the couch for the rest of
the day after them cavities get filled, But that'd be fun.
Excited for him. I am a hype though, because I
finally got Kevin's present of the star Lord mask thanks
to our boss bringing into work Kevin. I will say
there was popcorn in the mask. Did you guys have
popcorn at all on your trip?

Speaker 3 (06:56):
We may have gotten that pointment to that cot.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
So yes, okay, I was like, I don't know how
this popcorn is, but I'm just gonna use a Sandi
wipe case on anything that's in here.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
That's when your boy that that that caramel popcorn was special.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
No, no maple, Oh the Kevin Owens popcorn. Oh, so
a little part of Kevin Owens came here with his mask. Okay,
I love it exactly, but obviously that fun stuff aside.
Been a chill week, I guess. Obviously caught up on CAM.
I've been catching up on Camp Cretaceous. Uh season four,
where they're on a different island essentially. Uh, That's where

(07:35):
I'm at right now. They just met the doctor lady.
They're like, oh, another human that's great? Is she evil?
We don't know? We can't trust her. That's where I'm
at right now.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
Sat with the Hunting Couple.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
Yes, that's season two. I think. Yeah, they sucked. Yeah,
but that boat. That boat lasted longer than they did.
That boat just kept hanging out, you know. I was like,
this is the mcguffin of the show. Just get this
boat going and we're done.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Yeah. I didn't. I don't like they deserved every bite
they got on it on that.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Day off screen because it's still TV seven or something.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
Yeah, And that's funny thing why they show you if
you watch gapitation is all the deaths happened off screen.
All you see is like cringing, even.

Speaker 1 (08:16):
The dinosaur desk, like the compy got shocked to death
and you're like, oh, off screen though, even though it's
not a real thing. Okay, sure, but then more and
I to balance it, are also watching The Crown, which
which has been fun. It's cool to learn about British
stuff like that. Also paying attentions Game of Thrones without
the action.

Speaker 3 (08:31):
Essentially, I thought The Crown would have better received by me.
This was also a musical.

Speaker 1 (08:36):
Oh. I wouldn't put past that that Netflix might try
to do that because they have that stranger things musical,
so I wouldn't put it past them.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
That would be pretty cool to suddenly start singing leave
me alone, Leave.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Me alone, paparazzi or she just sings paparazzi from Lady Gaga.
There you go. Yeah, it's a jukebox musical where they
sing popular songs in the musical. Fun Factor learned that
from Hood.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
That is kind of like what the other British everybody loves, well,
the sex what's it called sex education? A little bit
of other the British shows like a period piece, but
they play like they play like modern music.

Speaker 1 (09:11):
Oh, Bridgerton. Bridgerton correct, that could be fun. That's a
lot of costume though. And then I know Kevin didn't
watch it, but why I loved to season three uh more,
and I did finish it. I thought the finale was good.
Walton Goggins character was great. I do think the season
overall was a lot slower than the other seasons, but
it'll be interesting. Apparently the next season they're not doing
any like Beachy Vibe, Beachy Island Vibes. We'll be just

(09:34):
to see where we go next.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
That's cool. Do you think Walton Goggins has a contract
with Rio and it just like called when they need them?

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I think so. I think it's kinda I think it's
how Disney kind of also has people on the retainer
like Netflix has Jenna or Tago on the retainer like
all the time, and Jenner or Takeo and Millie, Bobby
Brown and like everything on Netflix. But I think definitely
like they're like, man, you are a standout carecharacter in
uh in Righteous Gemstones. Hey we got this next season

(10:04):
the show. You might be great in it because you
just it's completely opposite of your character in Righteous Gemstones.

Speaker 3 (10:10):
So actually I saw an article. I don't know if
it was like Variety or one of the one of
the l A trades, let's say, because of Won Goggins.
Now Balding is like a sexy man here.

Speaker 1 (10:21):
Yeah, yeah, so Kevin maybe growing back out baby, and
I'm good.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Then go to barbershop and talk to people. That's the whole.
I mean, that's part of I I've seen.

Speaker 1 (10:30):
I watched Saul that.

Speaker 3 (10:35):
Barbershop with Baltimore, that team if it existed, I'll still.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
He was like, I would have air still, it would
be my mental health would be a lot better, you know, as.

Speaker 3 (10:45):
You don't Baltimore, Lebron, we don't have I don't care.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
What's on the other side of the coast. But Kevin,
that's what I've been doing. What have you been doing?
Good sir, a week before your birthday.

Speaker 3 (11:00):
I've been doing annoying adulting stuff, man, since I never
thought I would be a person who is contesting the states.
The states I guess assessed with my home value. And
that's the thing I did this week. That's the thing pictures.
I have to send pictures to the State of spots
in my house where I say my home value isn't

(11:22):
what they say it is. I'll probably do it after
we have done here and something in my life like
I used to put syrup on hot dogs, still my
home value.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
So yeah, I've been doing a lot of And was
it good value, Kevin, or was it lower than your
thought value?

Speaker 3 (11:41):
Well, the issue is when, And this is the kind
of home buying one on one. I'm not sure.

Speaker 1 (11:45):
How much you're teaching everybody how.

Speaker 3 (11:47):
To do our homeowners. But if you are, you saying,
I'm saying teaching and teaching. Moment like you said, when
the state tells you how much your home and your
property is worth, but to me it's worth more. In effect,
your property taxes and your property taxes are paid through
your mortgage. So to hire property taxes, to hire your mortgage,
the lawyer pripay taxes, the lawyer, your mortgage. So I've

(12:08):
met a couple of raap my mortgage right now where
I can actually cover it with one paycheck. It's really
cool for me.

Speaker 1 (12:12):
There we go.

Speaker 3 (12:13):
But if you raise that up, I can't do that anymore.
I don't want to, so I'll tell you no, my
home is worth what's worth now. It's not worth what
you saying. So let's talk so that that's kind of
what It's just. This is an annoying thing. And like
because of all that, I'm actually there's none I don't
think I have to do. I'm going to actually file
for an extendion for my taxes because I'm just not
in the mental place right now to worry about taxes

(12:34):
because I'm worried about this other stuff.

Speaker 1 (12:36):
Yes, and when get kids, that makes it better and
worse at the same time for taxes.

Speaker 3 (12:41):
Yeah, because you're trying to focus on this stuff and
then you look and then your daughter is trying to
eat nail polished and like, dang it leak.

Speaker 1 (12:47):
Also, technically, with Kira being born, is this the first
time you're putting out in taxes or did you put
that last year too? Because I know it's so late.

Speaker 3 (12:57):
This would be the first time I could claim her
on tax, so we'll be a two kid household. Yeah,
more money would be cool because I think we're going
to owe this year because we keep doing this annoying
thing where we keep getting promoted and jumping tax brackets
every time.

Speaker 1 (13:12):
You're a good fortune.

Speaker 3 (13:15):
And also because you know, the things a little tough.
Last year. I had to pull some money out of
the four one k. So we're going to owe something
this year, so hopefully that can upset It.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
Actually might have been a smart thing, Kevin, compared to
what the Jews we got. So that's all we're going
to talk.

Speaker 3 (13:26):
You're actually but I'm open, Like I remember actually one
time we actually owed. The year before Lea was born.
We owed a lot of money and then we took
a payment plan and it was gonna take us a
couple of years to pay it off. Then Lea was
born and we know anymore. So I'm hoping that can
happen this again.

Speaker 1 (13:42):
Is all right, let's get another child to make these
debts go away, even though they add.

Speaker 3 (13:48):
Other than that, I was really upset. The other day
we're doing grocery shopping. I saw these really good looking
garlic rolls on one of this Costco Instagram and went
to Costco to give them and I never gone. I
was really upset about it.

Speaker 1 (14:03):
Oh is it that like garlic. It's like thick garlic
bread or something, right, Yeah, and.

Speaker 3 (14:08):
It's like it's like get a little tan and you
bake it. I really wanted them and they were gone.
I was really upset about it because I was like, this.

Speaker 1 (14:13):
Is gonna gotta get on top of it, baby, you
gotta get them Costco fines, you know.

Speaker 3 (14:17):
And I think it's also because I went to Costco.
It was like six o'clock on.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
The Oh, yeah, they're gone by day. You gotta get
there ten o'clock, get them fresh, baby, right when they bake.

Speaker 3 (14:25):
Actually, I don't know if this is for all club stores.
Do you have like a Costco or a Sam's Club
or BJ's. I think what they do on Saturdays you
can enter the store early, you just can't check out
till ten, So basically you can enter.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
It might be a store by store thing. I think
it might be because of.

Speaker 3 (14:43):
One near us. We can inter at nine and get
on stuff we want. We just can't check out till
ten o'clock.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
They're like you can do whatever you want in here,
but you can't leave till cat so exactly.

Speaker 3 (14:55):
But that's been my week, just a week of adulting, adulting, boringness.
You know, I'm sorry, have more stuff to do.

Speaker 1 (15:01):
Baby, that's okay, you know it's okay.

Speaker 3 (15:03):
And sometimes you got an adult and that's all right.
I did train here to acknowledge Roman reigns a kid.

Speaker 1 (15:10):
So you're ready for this weekend so or next weekend.
So maybe it's this weekend or next weekend, next weekend,
we can a birthday, Easter weekend, Okay, good?

Speaker 3 (15:19):
Good, supposed to be there doing all those prices, like, oh,
I don't make enough for Las Vegas.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Maybe if I value my house bore, maybe.

Speaker 3 (15:26):
Next year I can afford philadelps Me.

Speaker 1 (15:29):
I came, No, I cannot. I can't even get to
anywhere near Vegas. Whatever the closest city would be to Vegas.
That's that Vegas, Salt Lake City.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
I guess I have no.

Speaker 1 (15:38):
It's a good question, Reno, I guess. I guess. Yeah, Okay,
I don't know. Well, let's get on into it. It
is time for the news. First things, verset, we need
to talk about Peacemaker season two, it's happened in this August.

(16:02):
We know it is now, but aren't we hide for it?
I am, that's it. I am, I'm doing my parts.

Speaker 3 (16:14):
I'm interesting to see how how they flip this because
this show was built off of another film universus Cannon,
and now this will be based on another universe's Cannon.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
Yeah, how do you do that?

Speaker 3 (16:25):
I want to see how do they do it?

Speaker 1 (16:26):
Yeah? And so the main thing, I was gonna have
it up, but it's it's only online as part of
like the two minute thirty thing of like everything coming
to Max. But when a show usually ends when they
have like here's what's coming to the next season of HBO,
and you know, the main part of it this this
go around is obviously the last of Us, which we'll
talk like we'll talk about on Wednesdays just because it

(16:48):
comes out on Sundays and we will have time for Mondays.
That the rehearsal, which if you didn't see season one
Chick Kevin, you need Chicked out with your family becau
it's actually really good. And then tacks are like the
main three shows coming now, but usually they tease what's
the come later in the year. This time we got
most say twenty seconds of Peacemaker season two footage. Still

(17:10):
don't know what's happening, but John Cena is in it.
And my main question for you, Kevin, as a wrestling fan,
will you support Peacemaker even though John Cena is a
heel now in wrestling?

Speaker 3 (17:22):
I think I will because the current character of Peacemaker
is a very traumatic It's a very traumatic person and
I want to give him the support. But that dash
really John Cena.

Speaker 1 (17:31):
Desar twodotos his mustache he doesn't have.

Speaker 3 (17:37):
But I'm excited because the one little thing they showed,
it looks less nerdy this year, like people had kind
of a nerdy look to him last year.

Speaker 1 (17:46):
He looks more like an action star this year. Yeah, yeah,
like Reacher, Like when I see the Reacher as on Prime,
he looks like that.

Speaker 3 (17:53):
Now that's so interesting, see how to do that? Also,
I want to see if they bring back what was
his hockey Vigilante. Vigilante was I think one of the
things that made this series really good and I want
to I hope he comes back as well.

Speaker 1 (18:07):
Yeah, because the thing is, and why we're talking about
now is we assume they'll probably be a trailer in
a couple of weeks, but like this is also part
of the DCU proper and it's James Gunns stamp on it,
So it really is the second go of James Gunn
after we get Superman in July. Supposed to be the
next thing after that is it's kind of been hush hush.

(18:29):
Obviously the momentum has been for Superman because that's immediately
what's coming. But I feel like you kind of want
to promote Peacemaker too, because everyone loved Peacemaker season one. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (18:41):
I remember when the trailer came out. I was one
of the people I knew you were too, but outside
of us, I was like, we were like the only
people I knew that we're excited for it because everyone's
like this is gonna be stupid. The eagles with the egle, like.

Speaker 1 (18:54):
The eagle makes a thing, and then we fell in
love with the entire dance every time every that.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Uh, the characters were great, Like I said, chi Ante Peacemaker.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
His father was a it was T one thousand, you know,
so yeah.

Speaker 3 (19:11):
And then I can't remember her name, but the lady
from from Orange and New Black and the real tall
guy from from outside Daved from New Girl like they
had really and also James Gun's wife a really cool,
tight knit.

Speaker 1 (19:24):
Group and so much so that John Economos that was
the character's name. Uh, and then James Gun's wife, I
forgot forget the actress his name. Uh. They popped up
in Shazam Fury of the Gods, which wildly came out
after That's how long it's been since Peacemakers's one came out.
And then they popped up in Black Adam and technically

(19:47):
the Creature Commando Show, so like they have been establishing
the sort of running path as well as Viola Davis's
Amanda Waller of like the continuation of DC.

Speaker 3 (19:57):
I do want to know if they will be it
will be an song every year.

Speaker 1 (20:01):
I think the first episode you have to have the
first the same song, but the second one we're going dark,
you know. It is like he said, he's mop but
maybe have some fun with it. Obviously you have to
change out the cast, cause yeah, the guy who eventually
would become High Evolutionary and Guardians of the Galaxy three,
like his character is dead, so he wouldn't be in it.

(20:24):
Certain other characters I think aren't on the like Judo
and yeah, Judo Master isn't on the show anymore either.

Speaker 3 (20:30):
Think did he die?

Speaker 1 (20:31):
I don't remember if he died, but I think they
like wrote him off, so he's not coming back, but
so be interesting like that to obviously do the dance
again but with different people.

Speaker 3 (20:41):
So yeah, that's my own question right now. It's gonna
be like like like a there's a new song every year,
So season three will be another classic nineties eighties rock
song something like that, because that band is not like
a well known band, but they're like a well known band.

Speaker 1 (20:57):
For people that know they are now they are now.
So I'm really looking.

Speaker 3 (21:02):
Forward to the show. I remember when it again, like
going back to when it came out, it was like
a it came out like in that dark period between
Christmas and the end and the end of winter.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
It was Yeah, it was like it was the January
Show and we're like, oh, the Januaries don't sleep on
the January shows, like exactly.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
So I'm open, like just the quality of the first
season brings a lot of people back to the show
cause I think I think it's gonna be good. Yeah,
the interest see how how they bridge the gaps of universes.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
And I do think Peace Burger can do a good
job of being that bridge between Creature Commandos and Superman
because season one was zany and wacky. It was, you know,
a bug takeover kind of very akin to James Gunn's
early stuff with like the Sinister or Slither, that movie
which we tell you you you want to watch a
movie while you're high, that movie will with you, that's

(21:51):
for sure.

Speaker 3 (21:53):
And I also wonder if they bring back here kind
of we kind of already died, but they can bring
back is another character Michael Rooker. I think, come back
to somebody else. I don't care.

Speaker 1 (22:01):
Yeah, I think also, yeah, we're wiping well. I don't
know if they can because the Suicide Squad is partially canon,
so it's like, what is it like weaseled, I've Peacemaker
and some references, but is everything like oh yeah, they
also were in that movie to Economos and and uh
Waller and everybody. So it'll be interesting. I think really

(22:23):
that show will be the im mediate set path point
of like, all right, great, we knew though we were
all in for Superman, but what are we getting, you know,
on the daily with these TV shows? A lah what
we expected with WandaVision Falcon Winter Soldier. Now that the
DCU is the DCU and.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
This show was label to go a little bit more
edgier than the other Oh yeah, I mean of the
dc shows, like because before this it was just you know,
a flash screen arrow, you know, Green Rose season one
was pretty raw, but the rest of them are pretty
pretty safe for TV. This was just like was screwing
in the first one, good Lord and.

Speaker 1 (22:58):
It blew up. Yeah, man, what a time? What a time?
Uh yeah, that's coming out in August. We're excited for that.
We'll probably get a trailer, like I said, and it
probably about a month makes sense. I would assume once
Superman has there's supposed to be a trailer for Superman
probably next week around your birthday, Kevin's, so happy birthday
for you. But I would assume once they get that
out of the way, then they'll start showing Peacemaker. Then

(23:19):
we'll find out, Okay, what else the DC Who's happening
after these two things that are actually happening besides the
Lantern show that we know is filming.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
I really hope Superman ends with the end credit scene
of who Batman is because I feel like you need
you need it, you know what I mean?

Speaker 1 (23:35):
Yeah, I also I am thinking. I know this really
is a news board, but it's the fun part of
ranting and thinking all the things. What if we live
in a world where it is the Batman movie comes
out at the same time that James Guns Batman movie
comes out? You know, Kevin? I know I'm talking off
from the dys because the internet right now, But that's okay,

(23:57):
Kevin can hear me?

Speaker 3 (24:02):
I want to see this one and that one?

Speaker 1 (24:06):
Yeah, exactly, there we go, Kevin. Good glad, So Kevin
can hear me when it pauses, but I can't, ke
But I looked at the camera. Well, Kevin's talking, so
obviously he's got something going on right now. But yeah,
like it'll be interesting to see, like they could like
a fall in a summer. Here's your two Batman movies.
They're different. Just ignore them, please, And that's okay. The

(24:28):
Internet went down again, and Kevin, I'm gonna be here
all day with my Internet.

Speaker 3 (24:32):
I don't know why.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
No, No, it just doesn't want to work today for
some reason.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
I don't like it.

Speaker 1 (24:39):
I'm alone, Kevin. Well, here's the thing, Kevin, Kevin, on
this Internet, I don't know what is happening with this
internet right now, but it is okay, we're gonna ride
or die. Peacemaker, what was it? What did you say
about Peacemaker. We'll wrap it up there, Peacemaker.

Speaker 3 (25:00):
I just say, I think it was a fumble, not
making Pats in your Batman. I think it was easy.
That was just a slam dunk that the movie did
so well.

Speaker 1 (25:06):
Yeah. I think the interesting thing too is I think
I saw in the news this week that Robert Pattinson
might be the villain for Dune three. Like, no, please, no,
just have your free time for Batman. Stop doing these
other movies please.

Speaker 3 (25:22):
And then, according to Dune lovers, the third book isn't
that great. So to see how the movie does.

Speaker 1 (25:28):
They spent the first book into two books or to
two movies, so we'll see what happens. You know, it's children.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
It is what it is.

Speaker 1 (25:36):
But Kevin, speaking of things that are coming in the
near future and Peacemaker, we're excited. We need to see
more of it to get even more excited. We got
two trailers I guess the past two days. Really actually
that might heavy interested into established franchises again. Now, Kevin,
where do you want to go first? Do you want
to you want to go some action or do you

(25:57):
want to go into saman You pick the action first.
All right, so action. So we're gonna go on over
to Reaction Theater because we have to talk about let
me get my thing over work. Uh, talk about the
latest trailer for Mission Impossible, the Final Reckoning.

Speaker 3 (26:18):
So I'm guessing what the word final? This is gonna
be the last mission.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
Of supposedly, but supposedly not because Tom Cruise will not
say it is the last one, even though this trailer
it is what it is now, Kevin, you haven't seen
either of these trailers, correct this one in the show
are about to show you.

Speaker 3 (26:30):
I haven't seen either trailer. And also I haven't seen
any miss Possibilities since the second one.

Speaker 1 (26:36):
Oh, we haven't seen the third one that was filmed
on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge.

Speaker 3 (26:40):
Kevin, come on, disappointed.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
People thought there was a terrorist attack on the Chesta
Peak Bay Bridge because of this movie. Yeah, that's a
real fact that was in the news. I was like
eight when that came out. Yeah, but Mission BOSSI will
find rocketing. Technically, this is the sequel to Mission Impossible.
Dead Reckoning and this is the final the final reckoning.
Uh so this is a direct sequel to the to

(27:05):
A movie more than any other mission of possible movies.
They've all been connected, but this one really is like
a payoff of the movie you just saw. We've kind
of seen this stunt since the Pandemic because it was
Tom Cruise saying welcome to the movies, and yeah, so
you'll see that stuff in this trailer. But Kevin, no
spoilers beyond that. You ready to watch this?

Speaker 3 (27:24):
Let's do it all right?

Speaker 1 (27:25):
Three two, one, hit it baby, Welcome to the movie
on the plane.

Speaker 3 (27:35):
Fantastic, awesome word.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
Angela Bassett, I am in the first movie. In am
I reading this iconic scene Nick Offerman, that's that's the
fourth moviment to kill him. He gashed a secure. That's
the last movie that happened. It was wild. You're like,

(28:00):
is this man the oh was just two minutes to grow?
This explains the handcuffs. It's still not clear ways here
I is he here? Bring the world back from the break.
We have to deal with him, Jould.

Speaker 4 (28:17):
He choose to accept.

Speaker 1 (28:23):
Smart. People on every side are close to panicking a milkshake.
Apples Apple said, here's our actors. Yeah, your team is

(28:45):
being betrayed, Ethan.

Speaker 5 (28:49):
Oh, your secrets compromised?

Speaker 1 (28:51):
Ye, mans your.

Speaker 3 (28:57):
Everything you've done.

Speaker 1 (29:06):
You gave him an aircraft carrier. Hell yeah, top gun.
It's top gun reference. Our lives all the sum of
our choices. And this is we're calling Simon Pegg your
destiny Arby's I have no good French. I need you

(29:34):
to trust me one last time. Now, Kevin, are you
seeing that movie day one? Now that you've been intreased
by pretty much the entire mission and possible franchise for
this trailer Day one?

Speaker 3 (29:53):
No, but I would see it as a celebration of
the French on Paramount Plus.

Speaker 1 (29:56):
You know, when it comes to Paramount Plus, I'll at
you go to We'll see a Day one they I
think they are going to do a marathon for this
when it comes to theaters in May, of like see
all the movies, like they did with the Avengers movies.
I mean, I think it's eight movie so.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
Because think about it. I don't know if our listeners know,
but Mission Aposta was based off a seventies TV show.

Speaker 1 (30:19):
And that like that was zany and wacky with the
spy stuff, and they said, we're gonna make it fun
and cool.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Exactly, and I think like ten people watched it. It
wasn't It wasn't like Terry chairly popular. But and now
eight movies and billions of dollars later, it's still doing it,
So it kind of is is a cool testament to
that franchise. Yeah, originally starting in the seventies.

Speaker 1 (30:39):
As a fan. I guess a fan because I watched
all of them before Dead Reckoning came out last year.
This has been excited and there's callbacks and I'm excited
for you know, Hannah watting him and then Milcheck that
that actor would you call milkshake or milk Check being
in here? It's cool, but I wouldn't be so PRIs

(31:00):
is the last one just because it seems like it is.
But they say that about every mission impossible movie, So.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Isn't the last one? I say to do it next one?
But it's not based on Ethan? Who will be the
new you think? What what actor you think could be
the new Ethan? Huts?

Speaker 1 (31:16):
Well, So the funny thing was when Henry Cavill was
in the sixth one, I believe everyone's like, oh, they're
teeing him up to be Yeah, with with the Shotgun Fist.
They thought they were teeing him up to be the
next main lead and obviously interfered with Superman and Justice
League and then that happen, but obviously he was a villain. This,

(31:37):
I think is interesting. The last movie that did set
up Oh, Peggy Carter. What's the actress's name, Haley Haley
Hailey Otwell, They're like, oh, they're kind of setting her
up to either be the romantic lead or maybe she's
a spinoff character. I wouldn't mind it. The IMF The

(31:57):
Impossible Mission Force is still a thing. I mean, that
has seems like it's a paramount plus show in the making,
but yeah, who knows. I will watch that actually, yeah,
like make it a TV make it Mission Impossible again,
but it's the TV show. And then that Get Eyes
on the OG show that people don't even remember inspired
all this, Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 3 (32:17):
But honestly, I will say I am kind of an
abstainer from Tom Cruise movies because of this weird personal
life that is me. I'm not saying anybody should.

Speaker 1 (32:26):
You're you're not wrong, you're not wrong.

Speaker 3 (32:27):
Make get past it. But this looks cool.

Speaker 1 (32:31):
Yeah, I can't.

Speaker 3 (32:31):
I'm not even gonna trying to be holding it down
and I might watch it. And honestly, the way the
trailer is is edited showing all the older stuff, like
maybe you go back and watch it's been it's been
a while, everybody's neve a second chance.

Speaker 1 (32:43):
And Kevin, the interesting thing is this is competing against
Lelo and Stitch and yeah, and essentially I believe, oh, okay,
Lelo and Stitch is what's competing with for Memorial Day
weekend to got a kid movie and then your dad movie.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Would say they one, because I'll be in Leloans Stitch.

Speaker 1 (33:05):
And then maybe I'll hear the explosions of this movie
over Leelo and Stitch doing the wine roller coaster ride.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
This could be another low key up Barberenheimer.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
Mission Stitch Stitch Impossible, Leelo and Impossible.

Speaker 3 (33:19):
Okay, all.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
Right, well, Kevin, that's not our only trailer we're gonna
talk about, because we're gonna switch on over to the
first trailer for surprise drop and Kevin, you can flip
the trailers Predator, Killer of Killers.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
This is interesting. I don't remember remember my podcast we
did a long time ago that was just really really
intensive to do. Would be we reviewed all the Predator
movies and.

Speaker 1 (33:43):
We did and surprisingly at the time. Now obviously we're
not caugh up to date. We only I think went
up to a VP requiem that we stopped after that.
But the Predator and Alien franchise is a little bit
of a it's a soft spot for this podcast, you know,
it kind of what cemented this going forward for this podcast. Really,
my hat's off.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
To all those people do to watch the longs on YouTube,
because you make it look really easy.

Speaker 1 (34:07):
It is not.

Speaker 4 (34:08):
It is not.

Speaker 1 (34:08):
It's a lot of timing and theming and sometimes it's
copyright involved too. And yeah, but so we knew we
were gonna get Prey bad Lands. It's supposedly supposed to
come out this year. Obviously was presented at CinemaCon last week,
which is why that was last week. But all of
a sudden yesterday we got a surprise drop for new

(34:29):
Predator movie. No, not for Prey bad Lands, for Predator,
Killer of Killers, which is coming to Hulu on June sixth.
So I assume Pray comes out maybe in October. We're
getting two Predator movies technically this year.

Speaker 3 (34:43):
It's definitely the Predator at Aliens franchise. Two frenchies did that.
You kind of wondered while they still around because they
had a really bad lall from the end of the nineties,
so it's throughout the mid two thousand and all two thousand,
but they just weren't good movies until Prey and Alien Requiem.
That was what's it called the last one?

Speaker 1 (35:02):
Uh, Covenant was the Oh Romulus Ramas was the latest one.

Speaker 3 (35:07):
Yes, yes, but it was like, oh, wait, wait a minute,
these can be good movies, Like, yeah, if you know
what you're.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Doing, they can be good movies. Yeah and yeah. So
we kind of are now really since Prometheus and Prometheus
kind of got weird too, but since probably the we've
had a lot of Predator movies. There's The Predator, there's
Predators with Adrian Brody, which don't sleep on it. It's
like a Fortnite movie that's not bad. It's not bad.
It is not bad. We are in the renaissance of

(35:35):
like these franchises. People are now making movies that make
sense for them, like you just said, like like Freddy
Versus Jason. Those movies are also being looked into. The
Halloween movies have been great when they've had those I
think the Halloween movies kind of set the renaissance for
all those movies for modern day, the Michael Myers movies,
because those were so good and now like, well we

(35:55):
have these ips, let's make them good again. Fox eyeps.
Uh so, let's watch the train for Predator, Killer of killers,
and let's explain why we're hyping for it, all right, keV,
let's do it all right, three two one, hit it, baby,
I was animated.

Speaker 4 (36:10):
Yeah, mm hmm. Interesting Hulu originals. That's on Hulu in
case you didn't know. Centuries centuries Regis.

Speaker 1 (36:25):
Yeah, oh.

Speaker 5 (36:34):
Man Deadlius Warrior. What a show, Spike, I want to
show do that, Jesus, Oh the Red ver Dan tracton erg.

Speaker 1 (36:50):
You are old enough. Now it's time my telling about
the monster. Oh oh god, that's that's a big a
beefy boy, sick boy. We must kill worried, will kill

(37:22):
us all yeah through history, baby, yeah yeah. Look at
that transition. H he egged him out through the engine.

(37:54):
Hell yeah, hell yeah baby, that's a predator. Goodness right there.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
That's pretty cool. That's that's almost I feel like that
they brought the damation style from what if What? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (38:07):
That and arcane. It definitely has that type of animation style. Yeah,
and I think for this beingle we'll say like an
hour thirty. This is really dope. And I think it's
like you get in, you get out, you like it,
you hear for the story. You don't need to have
name actors here for the predator killing people, and not
for actors being in the screen.

Speaker 3 (38:26):
It's definitely a movie on TV show.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
This is as of right now, a movie. Yes, I
mean it looks like it could be a mini series too,
but it's a movie. Yeah, but this looks great.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
I mean, I love the continued expiration of the predator
law where it's like they becoming a killing pole for years.
It's not like a new thing. It then stubber Arnold.
It was way before Arnold and after Arnold two.

Speaker 1 (38:48):
And I think the really dope thing is to in
the Predator movies or any movie a predator's been in,
there's always been all right, the end of the movie,
you win or you survive, you get like a souvenir
from one of the predators. This, I think would be
a great job of explaining where these random souvenirs came from.
That Danny Glover Kids and Arnold Swarzenegger and then Alien
Predator they all get these random weapons they have no
explanation behind.

Speaker 3 (39:10):
Yeah, and then also showing that the different types of
predators where they're big predators, we got some small.

Speaker 1 (39:15):
Big boys, small boys predators.

Speaker 3 (39:18):
Even like in the last part of the movie they
did with who was in that movie came was they
had they hit two different speeds, two different like trials
of predators. I kind of like the more explorssion of
the predator lore as the what they call it the.

Speaker 1 (39:32):
Mber the species well, predator species.

Speaker 3 (39:35):
Predator species, how how they are are differentiated in between
different predators.

Speaker 1 (39:39):
Basically, Yeah, overall this looks dope. Not really a big
cast attached to this movie, but it is interesting that
this is happening in June. I did like a Prey
bad Lands is actually called Predator bad Lands Now that's
scheduled to come out in November seventh, so literally like
five months after this comes out, and very contrasting movies
because Predator Badlines is supposed to be set in the future,

(40:02):
so like it'll be interest to see, all right, we
have future tech, can it still compete with the Predator?

Speaker 4 (40:06):
You know?

Speaker 3 (40:07):
Yeah, all the instincts. I don't know how you do
this one day, but I think this is twenty centy
Studios production. That means Disney owns it. Hm, how would
you do like a Predator ride at Disney World?

Speaker 1 (40:20):
Well, technically, Kevin, the Great Movie Ride Medelia did have
an alien part in there, and it's scared the hell
out of me every time because alien just crawled up
at a ball and even if it wasn't working, just
you passing by it, it looks creepy, but then it's
supposed to jump at you, you know.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
Well, just inherently. Just I'll never I always say this
person who Designsamorphos is a six sick person. They needed therapy,
because that's why. Why did you create that?

Speaker 1 (40:48):
And I think you know where this is a good
year for I guess we'll say the Alien Versus Predator franchise,
because you get two Predator movies and you're getting the
Alien Alien Earth series on FX at some point this
summer too, So Hulu is gonna be real good. If
I think these both kind of coincide with one another,
do it agree?

Speaker 3 (41:07):
I think too. If if Alien Ronalds was good, this
looks pretty cool. If the if the The Predator bad
Lands movie is good, and that alien series is good.
I feel like we'll get an alien predator thing sooner
than later.

Speaker 1 (41:19):
You think a three or you think we just do
it over again?

Speaker 3 (41:21):
Do it do it over again?

Speaker 1 (41:23):
Okay?

Speaker 3 (41:23):
But oh Masha, everything like like maybe again their their
battle comes to Earth, of course.

Speaker 1 (41:29):
And it's a pyramid in the ice.

Speaker 3 (41:33):
To talk to about the predators, Like Arnold, He's like,
I don't want to talk about that.

Speaker 1 (41:37):
Yeah, I mean that'd be cool. I mean, just to
get him and Sigourney Weaver's cameo. They don't have to
be in the movie that long, but just as cameos
of like we lead this organization or something would be
kind of cool because they still coexist even canonically outside
of a VP together.

Speaker 3 (41:54):
Angry named Dinny Glover again, he was still angry predators.
Damn Danny Glover. You're still all right? Good, Good for you, baby,
for you, Proud you're still here. Have a cocon smile.

Speaker 1 (42:03):
Why are you so wh Why are you so sweaty?
Go get some air conditioning. But Kevin, let's switch on
over back to the normal view because we're done talk
about trailers. But it's time to talk about a show
near welling, Dear to our hearts, because it's time to
break down the penultimate episode of season one of Daredevil

(42:24):
Born Again. So let's break it down. Hell yeah, yeah,
it was good. It was real good, Kevin.

Speaker 3 (42:39):
It was a very so I feel like we've been
spoiled with streaming TV because you depend onso the episode
is reaction episode.

Speaker 1 (42:51):
And sometimes you're plot forward the episode of here's all
the like plots beats you need to know.

Speaker 3 (42:56):
They said, now we have your seat in the entire
what we see a uh maybe one thrown but that's it.

Speaker 1 (43:02):
That's it.

Speaker 3 (43:03):
That's it.

Speaker 1 (43:03):
Mostly just the gunshots all you really see some things
being thrown away.

Speaker 3 (43:09):
On edge you see for this forty seven minutes of
screen time or whatever it was. D it was good.

Speaker 1 (43:14):
I liked. I think that this episode I think was
such a great thing of like let's give you tension
of like, all right, we know what's what's gonna happen.
I know this, but we don't know who or where
is the victim of this and just but we're also
to give you the lawyery goodness. We're gonna give you
a relationship good and we're gonna give you all the
goods lay.

Speaker 3 (43:33):
Goods, and the tension between Matt and his girlfriend was like, oh, Matt.

Speaker 1 (43:39):
Too real, Just tell her. Every every hero has to
deal with this. It's your turn. But this episode was
called Isle of Joy. Uh A fun fact, Kevin, I
don't know if you realize this. This was the first
episode without using any of the old footage from the
original shooting of this show. So this was all from
the second wave of the show being shot. And you

(44:02):
can kind of tell because a lot more stylistic and
a lot more condensed. Not really like here's a bit
of that and a bit of that put together.

Speaker 3 (44:10):
It's very focused, yeah, very focused on one task to
build a tension between who actually put the head out
on the fucking very good though.

Speaker 1 (44:19):
Yes, very well, yes, fair, fair fairs. But I guess
we'll go through the episode in order, just because it
is it builds that tension. We get at the end
of episode where I literally wasn't taking full sentence notes.
I just was taking bullet points of like ah, boom boom,
here's all these things happening, and there's one ballroom. But
we open up on a prison with a guy picking

(44:39):
blue roses and a blue filter going on. We see Bullseye. Yeah,
he's being moved to Gen Pop. A Lah kind of
Fisk and a Lah Punisher in the original Day Devil shows.
So that's kind of fun, cool, cool man show.

Speaker 3 (44:53):
This is how we coll people in jail.

Speaker 1 (44:54):
We just said it. Yeah, if you're wondering what all
the blue motifs were with bull it was an homage
his comic book. Look, he hasn't really, they haven't shown
him in that. Look. The closest we got was the
first episode this season. Maybe we'll get that next week.
Maybe because he's out now, we'll see.

Speaker 3 (45:11):
I got to hope, not because his costume was pretty stupid, but.

Speaker 1 (45:15):
I want to see it. Marvel mcui fide. You know,
I'll give you that.

Speaker 3 (45:19):
It could could be.

Speaker 1 (45:20):
I mean because everything minus minus the hat, the helmet
hat thing, normal suit. Really, But then once we see
Bullseye being sent to Gen Pop, we do get kind
of I love that they did this. It was kind
of we had the fighting dichotomy between Fisk and Matt,
I mean, like four episodes ago, and this was here's

(45:41):
the relationship dichotomy of the two of them with their relationships,
saying that Fisk and Vanessa have kind of reunited and reconnected,
and that Heather and Matter kind of falling apart from
one another.

Speaker 3 (45:54):
Yeah, that's why I was like, because they were arguing
and she was like, yeah, there for him, I'm like,
uh no, that was your man trying to save you.
You did They'd say it like that was like I
was like, Matt to tell her real quick.

Speaker 1 (46:09):
Yeah, and I think they need I was worried about you. Yeah.
Have you worried about why I keep buying that shed
upstairs and being written for that shed upstairs? Now you know.
I don't know if you got the feeling too, but
I kind of felt like by the end of this,
when we get to it, I was like, man, I
don't really like Heather anymore. I'm like, are they intentionally
doing this? So when they kill her off or write
her off, you're like, Okay, goodbye, It's fine.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
It could be. I can't remember. There's there's been another
character like that where like might have been a Batman
character back today, where it was like She's like so
things Magelante's betans like, yeah, Vigelants are stupid. I don't
like them either, Yes they are.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
I have no idea what you're ducking about upstairs. But
we see that obviously Heather does get invented or Heather's
kind of grieving and kind of trying to get over
killing Mews. Matt doesn't really help because he can't tend
from human experience, he hasn't killed anybody, but from dar
double experience he has and he survived near killings and

(47:06):
all this stuff, so we kind of he tried to
kill somebody.

Speaker 3 (47:09):
He just lived.

Speaker 1 (47:10):
He just lived. I can't help. But we see that
Heather did get invited to the Black and White Ball
that's being run by the fix Fisks. There you go,
Matt seeing it as, oh, they're using you as a
way to get to me because the Mirror's corrupt. Aide
shows up inviting Heather to the ball, and it's like, oh,
like Matt's going in survival mode and knows Fisk's ulterior

(47:31):
motives and all this stuff. And on the flip side, yeah,
Fisk taking Vanessa to uh to his basement where he
find out that Fisk does revealed Vanessa he kept Adam
and kind of sour was going on the wall, and
Vanessa shoots at him because if they let ad him out,
well he's gonna tell him everybody about everything that went down.

Speaker 3 (47:53):
I felt bad Adam because Adam probably just a guy
at a bar one night saw attractive way. But hey,
how you doing and.

Speaker 1 (48:00):
And he was like, I'm sorry, I didn't know any better.
It's like, bro, you like, that's not on you, this
is on her, Like you did nothing wrong, you were fine.

Speaker 3 (48:08):
I don't like mister Fitz. I know you have some
kind of mind where technology. I don't want to die.

Speaker 1 (48:13):
Like whatever you need to get me out of it,
I'll leave. That's it.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
Nos is real.

Speaker 1 (48:18):
I know you would know change my face, whatever you
gotta do. But we see, you know, Fisk is in
good spirits. Were really seeing, you know, Fisk and Vanessa
being reconnected because he's high on life right now. He's
given Gandalphoenie your promotion. He's like, you know, my wife
thinks that this actually is the desk of La Guardia.
And you're like, okay, fist, we get it. You're happy

(48:39):
you got laid last night. It's okay. You know what.

Speaker 3 (48:42):
More episodes go by, the more sneaky, and I do
not like character. I'm like, he just sucks. I don't
like him.

Speaker 1 (48:51):
Well, I think I think that he definitely gandal. Phoenie's
character is he is just a young generals guy just
trying to get up in the world. And really it is, well,
you gotta be brashed like fist but to really get ahead.
But we're gona find this partner gonna work, my f
I have a feeling I think Ganel feeniein't making a

(49:12):
second season, but we see Ganel Feenie's now Deputy Mayor
for Communications. In all while this is going on, Matt
does some lawyering. He uses a detective vision on his
client to find out their line to him. His partner
McDuffie asked Matt, what's kind of caused him to change?
Matt being tired of the law and just is not
prevailing because you know, especially in just this season alone,

(49:34):
we saw it not work. That's why he's don the
suit again.

Speaker 3 (49:37):
I did like how he kind of lay that the
whole season. Listen, this deal with the last two weeks.

Speaker 1 (49:42):
Like it's been a off two weeks and we're still
here somehow. I have no idea. But eventually Matt does
leave and goes back to Josie's and it's a lot
more die of Bari than it even was like in
the beginning of this season, you know, not even it
does not even die.

Speaker 3 (50:01):
Now it's just ground bars. You already dive to the ground,
and this is where you're at.

Speaker 1 (50:05):
Now we find out Josie does tell Matt to come in.
Cherry actually tailed Matt to try and talk sense into him.
But this is where we find out. You know, Matt
is sure that Fist had to send Point Dexter. It's
why Point Dexter wants to meet with Matt privately. Cherry
tries to talk him out of even meeting Point Dexter
at all, but Matt realizes because Josie decides to pour

(50:26):
Foggy's final round. Foggy was already gonna win his last case.
That's why he was drinking mc levy or whatever the
alcohol was early, and he realizes someone had a point
point Dexter and it's time to go find him because
obviously they wanted Foggy's client to not win and to
not talk at all.

Speaker 3 (50:45):
And I love that, Like, even though Matt is not
a detective, he's a lawyer, so he can put things
together pretty quickly.

Speaker 1 (50:53):
Yeah, you know what I mean, he's smart. It's great.

Speaker 3 (50:55):
Yeah, they got the Dov had a lot more this
season than I really appreciate him.

Speaker 1 (50:59):
Yeah, but we get the finally the meeting between Matt
and Bullseye, and it's just as intense as we wanted.
We get the good line here, that's what good men do.
They defend their their own worst enemy, which we'll see later.
Matt slams bulls eyes head and the table. Uh. And
I love that he tells the guard he he did himself.
It's on him. Send him away. I'm done with him.

Speaker 3 (51:20):
Matt Mes's definitely gone off the rail of men don't
care anymore.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Yeah, but we find out Boin Dexter or bulls Eye
tells Matt and you and thank you. You're like, okay,
what is that? We find out, Well, that helped loosen
Bullseye's tooth and he was able to spit it out
and kill everybody in the prison and then board the
prison guard bus out of there.

Speaker 3 (51:40):
What screwed up killing the surgeon do nothing well?

Speaker 1 (51:43):
Surgeon going rat rat surgeon alson know he's not supposed
to be there.

Speaker 3 (51:49):
I'm like, man, I'm like, man, I ain't saying I'm
saying nothing. You have a good day, mister bull.

Speaker 1 (51:54):
I think me, uh, but he escapes. We find out
he's en route to the Black and White Ball, which
we cut to, which is really what the rest of
this episode said in which is where I started putting
bullet points because a lot of things are happening in
this ballroom.

Speaker 3 (52:07):
Yes, a lot. I mean, man, it was almost kind
of like a comic book splashing.

Speaker 1 (52:12):
It was just so much stuff of like find what
you want to look for and then see the next panel. Yeah.
But so we see that the Black and White Ball
is being guarded by the Anti Vigilante Task Force, which
is kind of weird because they're all right, it's just
a public ball fundraiser.

Speaker 3 (52:29):
Even like being clandestine.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
They were like, we're here, we're here. We see that
Gandelfini and they they're talking over his promotion, were realizing
that Gandelfini is kind of like, you know, we're equals,
but I'm better than you now because he sees I
have a future where he's kind of just using you
to get his footing as a mayor old campaign. Eventually,
Gandelfini does try to rekindle things with BB. They're both
kind of using each other to progress their careers, but

(52:53):
they both kind of know it at the same degree too,
which is fun. It'll be interesting how those two characters
go in this finale versus in season two, and if
they continue forward or not.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
Yeah, because she's clearly smarter than it m you know
what I mean. So it's definitely a thing where like
she's going to do something between season two of season
three that gets him in trouble again with Kingpin. He's
going to meet the Kingpin, and that willn't exactly.

Speaker 1 (53:17):
We see Swordsman's in attendance at the ball. He's trying
to talk to one of the women, the rich women
from a couple episodes ago. She seems off, We're not
sure why. We see the Heather thinks Matt didn't show,
and eventually Fisk and Vanessa show up, and my first
immediate thought is, why the hell is Vanessa wearing a
red dress to a black and white ball.

Speaker 3 (53:40):
I think I think it was supposed to hit like
when Game of Thrones when his daughter showed up in
the green dress and they only wear green a time
of war. I think he's supposed to be like that,
like let everybody know that was like listen, we're here,
we are here.

Speaker 1 (53:52):
And essentially it's along the lines to uh, you know,
Vanessa being the Red Queen to a degree, and you
know Fisk wearing his white suit a lah being the
typical kingpin suit, because Fisk is really Fisk and Vanessa
really at our best. When this ball starts, they're like
they're power couple and everything, and they're like, we got this. Yeah, yeah,

(54:15):
but it's kind of kind of said. It was essentially
the painting. They're the iconic you know, blood on the
Rabbit and snowstorm and painting in human form, which is great.
We do see Vanessa talking to Heather, telling her, you know,
she and Fisk worked out their issues, so she doesn't
really they don't any therapy anymore. She does say, since
the sins of the past are dead and buried for

(54:35):
both of us, like, yeah, you killed that man and.

Speaker 3 (54:39):
Buried them.

Speaker 1 (54:40):
Earlier today, we see that Fisk apparently has been dragging
donors into a private room. We start off we see
it with Swordsmen. We find out Fisk reveals to him
that he knows he's Swordsmen and that if he wants
to keep it hush hush, well you're got to private
donate to my Red Hook project. So technically bad but

(55:00):
also good because red Hook is getting revamped to a degree.

Speaker 3 (55:05):
But I know, in what an Hawkeye, we kind of
thought he was a bad guy. They haven't really said
if the if the sword, there's a good guy or
the back, and they kind of show video of him
doing some stuff. But I don't know if he's like
an actual like good vigilance, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
I think it's more ambiguous. I think it's just like, yeah,
we haven't he's a background character, but like when he
needs to show up for a Kate Bishop story or
something we have, we can and we'll see where he
goes from there to a degree. Oh back for he's great, Yeah,
he's great. We see that Matt does show up to
the ball, he finds Heather, and it's kind of where
you see them falling out again from one another. Heather

(55:42):
kind of being done with Matt because instead of listening
to what she's saying, he detective hearing into Fisk and
Vanessa's conversation, and the Heather goes, you're not even listening
to me right now, are you? And he just continues
not listening at all.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
I mean, I think Maddi's doing a better I'm like
doing that selective hearing where it's like listen, listen back, listen,
listen back.

Speaker 1 (56:05):
I'll put I'll put the I'll put the combo together.
I'll get both the commos together, figure it out. We
see that a photographer hidden as a waiter does take
a photo of Fisk and swordsman. He sends the anti
vigil Anti task Force after that waiter photographer. They obviously
destroy his footage because it's supposed to be no photography

(56:25):
at all, and they're about to douse the photographer's hand
in air. A frar police commissioner shows up and they said,
you have no power here and douse the man's hand
in the air in the fryar.

Speaker 3 (56:38):
I really, I really, If it's not next week, I
really hope John burnethal puts this guy.

Speaker 1 (56:44):
I think the main, the most pain possible, the main
anti vigilante task Force guy I think is gone by
next week. I think the the taller one, the second
one in charge, that was kind of guarding Fist this episode.
I think he'll be depending what happens with Fisk revolving
around next season, he'll be his bodyguard or something.

Speaker 3 (57:02):
And another guy too, I can't remember his name the
guy that was leading leading the charge all means last
week he's an actual Marvel character as well. I can't
remember his.

Speaker 1 (57:10):
Yeah, that's why I think he's gonna be safe till
next season or something like that. But eventually, when that's
going on, we see uh that I'm trying to think
what happens is Oh, yeah, that BB does meet with
the commissioner and calls and they just kind of call
each other out on like being corrupt to a degree
by Fisk, there is Oh, it's a funny. Ganal Fieening

(57:34):
has the line, I'm either having straight up boss power
or its total corruption. It's total corruption. Just interesting perspectives
on Fisk being in office. If is it corruption? Is
it you know, being actually good at your job? Who knows.
Heather does try to stop Matt from confronting Fist, but
then the spotlight hits him and Fisk and Vanessa dance.
Matt and Heather join in, and I thought this was

(57:56):
really dope because Matt is dancing, but he's really listening
to what Fisk saying, and Fisk knows and says, is
that you the devil? Like, oh, he knows, he knows.
He's used to this, he knows what Matt's powers are. This.

Speaker 3 (58:11):
I feel like, even though the season has been really good,
this has all been a buil of what season how
great season twos want to be because they still haven't
really clashed yet, and then we're about to get to
right now, I'm not gonna They're not gonna clash. She's
season as well either.

Speaker 1 (58:25):
But we see that the corrupt aid and learns that
Bullseyes escaped prison. He does tell the Fisks, and this
is where Matt overhears you know that really was Vanessa
has something to tell Fisk, and eventually Matt does intercede
and dance with Vanessa while Fist dances with Heather weirdly
like I'm not touching you. I'm just gonna dance on
the side with you. We're gonna danceing like this. I'm

(58:47):
not gonna put my hands on your waist anywhere near you.
We're just gonna dance.

Speaker 3 (58:50):
Next to each other, right, elementary school dance.

Speaker 1 (58:52):
Yeah, But we find out Vanessa was the person who
hired Bullseye while she was in charge and Fisk was
gone with that go uh, and that Vanessa was responsible
for Foggy Time. We see kind of Vanessa and Matt
kind of threaten each other back and forth, obviously Vanessa
knowing he's the Daredevil. But while this is going on,

(59:14):
Bullseye pops up at the party, steals a fork steak
fork on all of them, big stick carving forks or whatever,
stabs the sniper h takes his sniper rifle and uses
the gun. We're not sure who he was trying to shoot.
I think it was Fisk most likely, but he misses

(59:34):
because Matt intervenes. He saves his worst enemy, doing shadows
of that line earlier in the episode.

Speaker 3 (59:44):
Quick little here the guy that plays Bullseye, Wilson Bethel.

Speaker 1 (59:49):
You know he was running up for I'm gonna say
Green Arrow, Steve.

Speaker 3 (59:54):
Rogers, he lost, Chris Evans. He could have been America.

Speaker 1 (59:59):
Hey, he's Bulls. It's just as cool. Uh. We see
that Matt goes down Fisks. Jacket does look like it's
painting now which was does the blood spatter across the
white Uh? Matt unresponsive as Heather kind of tries to
see what's up with him.

Speaker 3 (01:00:14):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (01:00:15):
The Fisks leave the ballroom and we get this cool
stylized red ending, very comic bookie with I thought it
was a cool song. At the end, I'm like, hell, yeah,
give me episode nine now.

Speaker 3 (01:00:25):
I was wondering supposed to similarize similize kind of be
like the the opening to the original Daredevil series with
the blood coming onto the statue.

Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 3 (01:00:34):
The way it was, it was point out of Matt.

Speaker 1 (01:00:36):
Could be a little bit of a death with Matt,
and it's really Daredevil all the time now to do
if they want to do that as well. Yeah, I
think overall shroan episode and very like, let's let's do it, baby,
give me that finale now.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
But where do they go from here? Because like you
would imagine somebody getting shot is something to do in
the season finales no on somebody but a main character
but not the main character.

Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
Yeah, I think really, yeah, let's talk about predictions for
the finale, Like obviously Matt being down, you would assume him,
like you said, him and Fisk won't necessarily fight. Maybe
Vanessa is the ultimate downfall of this season of kind
of just I've taken your queen and now I'm going
after the king next season.

Speaker 3 (01:01:21):
That could be it. I also feel like next episode,
since there's nobody there right now that can take bulls
out because Dared Devil's down. Most I take bull out
now is punisher. So maybe the punisher is the one
that's going to fight through everybody to get to him
and finish the job that Matt couldn't do.

Speaker 1 (01:01:37):
Yeah, I'm excited. I think we're due for some good
fight scenes probably next week as well, because you got
it's Daredel. We gotta end with some good fight scenes.

Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Also, wouldn't put a time jump out of the question
for next week either.

Speaker 1 (01:01:53):
Maybe like a month time jump or something like that,
and just see old New York City's more corrupt or
vice versa or something like that.

Speaker 3 (01:02:00):
I want to say he was shot in it be
the left shot of the chest right that's where your
heart is, So he was shot close to his heart,
so that's gonna take some time to heal. So I
just can't imagine having the main character out of commission
the entire final episode of the season, you know what
I mean. I'm thinking logistically, not storywise, but logistically, you know.

Speaker 1 (01:02:16):
What I mean, Maybe now Kevin survival wise, do you
think Heather survives the season finale? No?

Speaker 3 (01:02:24):
I think she finds out that he's double and is off.

Speaker 1 (01:02:28):
And he's like, I feel so bad I didn't help
tell her my secret. We could have been a power couple.

Speaker 3 (01:02:34):
I also think his his Cherry might not make it either.
I feel like he's too cool to make that.

Speaker 1 (01:02:39):
Yeah, I think you keep Cherry just because like Cherry
and McDuffie, the other lawyer haven't really done too much.
They're more just here's Matt in the daytime more than
anything for like those characters. But I mean, you're right.
I know for season two, they've already teased that Karen
will come back. I mean, but she was only in
the first so maybe the second episode two, uh this season,

(01:03:03):
so I wouldn't put it past Maybe they put them
on the side to degree, maybe their law firm closes
up or something, and it is Matt back to being
Matt and just say I'm doing full time dared devil
at the end of this.

Speaker 3 (01:03:14):
Well, you would think, I mean, however long he's down,
if he's if the you know, the other name of
the law firm got shot, it's not good for law.

Speaker 1 (01:03:21):
Firm, and it will be interesting too, just like how
does Fisk play this to a degree of like, well,
you're sending me took the bullet for you, But are
you're gonna be like, well, I want to drink my
countful now, I'm Att Murdoch to save my life, you know,
like that stuff that could be a my game.

Speaker 3 (01:03:39):
He plays though.

Speaker 1 (01:03:39):
I was like, I'm gonna poise you as my champion
and you can't go up against me because you're my champion. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:03:45):
That is a Wilson Fisk move.

Speaker 1 (01:03:48):
That is a Kingpin move. Baby. Yeah, I think Punisher
shows up. I think the leader right now the Anti
Vigilante task Force, he's I think Punisher's gonna get him.
I think we'll do that and we're just like great Now,
tell us when the Punisher things coming out in two
years or whatever.

Speaker 3 (01:04:03):
I want him to get what what what?

Speaker 1 (01:04:05):
What? What? What?

Speaker 3 (01:04:05):
What was his name? Jigs? Remember the villain of the
first season when it was Jack. Yeah, he broke a
mirror and dragged his face across him. That's what I
want that guy to get.

Speaker 1 (01:04:13):
I want he don't get that. He's gonna be in
the Friar next week.

Speaker 3 (01:04:17):
I'm not gonna watch episodegain when it beat him up
again because he deserves it. He's just a smug little jerk.
I don't like him at all.

Speaker 1 (01:04:24):
Yeah, and then I think, I mean, yeah, I guess
those are mostly the main characters.

Speaker 3 (01:04:30):
Kevin.

Speaker 1 (01:04:30):
Do you think any other surprise cameos or teases we
get next week in the finale.

Speaker 3 (01:04:36):
I don't want to still think of it as hawk
Eye k Bishop because she's like around the corner basically,
you know what I mean, she's around the way and
here hearing somebody was shot at Wilson Fist's ball. I
feel like it'll be on her radar. She was like
face off against him in her series.

Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
I'm gonna say Echo shows up. I think that's an
easier get a local Cox as Echo than and saying
maybe a Mike Culter or you know, a Christian Ritter. Yeah,
that's like, yeah, that's like, oh my god. Like they
did it, and Luke Cage is now officiing that's something
they could do and be like he's offishing the MCU.

(01:05:14):
I'll see you in season two next year.

Speaker 3 (01:05:16):
You know, like that'd be amazing.

Speaker 1 (01:05:19):
I mean, and it's like, oh, I got a call
friend and you're like, oh, it's obviously Punisher and it's like, no,
it's a different friend.

Speaker 3 (01:05:23):
You know, he wants he walked into the office. I
need a lawyer. He just paint up shit balled it like, ah.

Speaker 1 (01:05:30):
I need a private investigator. Oh I know who that is.

Speaker 3 (01:05:33):
That's the question. Do you think we get a Marvel
mcu style end credit scene next week?

Speaker 1 (01:05:38):
I think so. I think I don't remember how we've
done so far with the end credit scenes with the
most recent Disney Plus shows. But now we know there
is a season two, I think you have something that
tease up something, whether it is you know, the larger
Defender verse we're kind of trying to restart again, or
just Daredevil's season two.

Speaker 3 (01:05:59):
What this won't happen? But what if a past love
finds out that her boyfriend got shot and jumps across
the country to come and help him. She Hawk and
just wrecking.

Speaker 1 (01:06:10):
That's a lot more expensive for the episode.

Speaker 3 (01:06:12):
But I mean, JUSTI I don't care how many people
are your task force. If a Hawk shows up, you
get the wrong people don't help you out wrong.

Speaker 1 (01:06:21):
Also be like Bullseye versus she Hulk, Like how how
does that fight work out? Who you got win in
that fight?

Speaker 3 (01:06:28):
You remember this scene in the first HAULK with what's
his name? They got to play that plays on abomination
faced off against him kicked him to a.

Speaker 1 (01:06:37):
Just like that. Okay, he's got metal, metal skelet skeleton now,
so I mean it's still hurt though, that's true. True. Well,
let us know what you thought of Daredevil Born Again overall?
Are you excited for this finale? Does have you interested
in the MCU? I know a lot of people uh
have been kind of saying like, oh, this is kind

(01:06:58):
of made me interested to back again in the mc you.
I think the shows are kind of hit or missed,
but it is these great ones like Daredevil that really like, yeah, baby,
like there's the MCU magic we've kind of been waiting for.

Speaker 3 (01:07:08):
You know, you can feel it in this episode two?

Speaker 1 (01:07:11):
What like I liked one through well that's seventh or six, Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:07:17):
These were This one was really good though, really really good.

Speaker 1 (01:07:20):
First one with THEE. But let us know, infan on
a square pots like, who is what came? You think
is happening? Give us a dream one? And the one
you think is gonna happen?

Speaker 3 (01:07:29):
You know, iron Man resurrects.

Speaker 1 (01:07:31):
Hey, iron Man technically popped up in the Friendly Neighborhood
Spider Man. We weren't anticipating that all on it and
it was like a fourth episode that wasn't even like
the finale.

Speaker 3 (01:07:41):
The other thing too that like this was like a
real fluid MCU again, something was shot at Governor Fastball
was totally show up.

Speaker 1 (01:07:48):
Kevin. We have to set limits because we can't have
a mcguffin. No, well, hearre the Avengers. The Avengers aren't around, Kevin. Okay,
Thunderbolts doesn't.

Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
May we know that something I kind of wish to
MCU would go like the Tyler Perry route and use
on union actors, get whoever we want.

Speaker 1 (01:08:01):
It's don't worry about it's time. They're there. Don't don't
don't listen to their voice. Don't listen.

Speaker 3 (01:08:08):
What do you doing? Nothing? Come Friday for a second.

Speaker 1 (01:08:12):
Okay, don't worry about it. But we'll be back on Monday.
Obviously we'll be talking about probably any last minute things
we hear about. Daredevil will get getting it ready, what's
happened with Nintendo Switch and all that good stuff, because
it's hit or miss. I don't know. Preorders are supposed
to be technically today, but they didn't. They got paused
and maybe they'll happen next.
