Speaker 1 (00:00):
Happy birthday to you if you are celebrating a two
day like our very own Ryan Mano.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Thank you Ellen, and thank you guys for yesterday and
for all of the things you've already done. This morning.
It's six o six and I feel like it's like
you've done a lot.

Speaker 1 (00:15):
Behind me is a would you say, four foot balloon? Yeah,
he's a four foot beer and it has four little
feet to stand on. I got it at Ralph's. Ralphs
has the great balloons. They're huge and they're fifteen bucks.
And so this is the balloon the restaurant would let
me bring in. It doesn't even float. I mean I

(00:37):
walked up to the door and the lady said.

Speaker 2 (00:38):
Oh no, not okay. So yesterday I had I didn't
see it when they said no, And now that I
see it, I kind of get why they wouldn't let
you bring it up.

Speaker 3 (00:46):
But it's not gonna fly away right ridicular.

Speaker 1 (00:49):
It's not helium. Let us have fun, okay please? And
everyone else would have loved it too. I know it's
the size of a large person. I hope you have
a great day today, Cubs, Dodger Tonight you'll be there.
And who was favored to win. I haven't been looking

(01:10):
at any of the you know, kind of the odds
or anything.

Speaker 2 (01:14):
Well, I hate to say it with the Cubs, Okay.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
Is that personal feelings or is this just because you're
from Chicago?

Speaker 2 (01:21):
No, I mean the Cubs are just right now statistically
a better team.

Speaker 1 (01:24):
Okay. It is the return of Pete Crow Armstrong. Harvard
Westlake's very owned, so he'll be out there for the Cubs.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
And we're excited to see Justin Turner back at Dodger
Stadium tonight. I assume he's going to get a pretty
warm ovation, you think.

Speaker 4 (01:37):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:39):
By the way, if you're just finding us, are tuning in,
it's a happy Friday, im Ellen King.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
I'm right man, I'm social Queen Darling and a producer
my grandmos.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
And we would love you to call us on this
feel good Friday with one good thing happening in your life.
Let's go to Santa Clarita carry left to talk back.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
Hi, friends, you know the one good thing that's happening
in my life? You, Ellen K Morning Show. I just
know that, no matter what's happening, the stresses of life,
the stresses of work, the stresses of kids, I know
when I wake up and I'm getting ready for my
day and I'm listening to you guys. It just makes
the day start so much brighter. I know I'm gonna
have a happiness half. I know I'm gonna learn something

(02:17):
from the seven to twenty question of the day, and
I know I've got you guys, So thank you for
being you.

Speaker 6 (02:24):
Thank God, it's time, Thank God, it's time.

Speaker 1 (02:40):
Eric Dane has a LS star of Euphoria and so
many other shows. We will give you the latest on that.
And also I watched it last night on Netflix. Pop
the Balloon You Dead. Yeah, it was delightful. Where it's

(03:01):
a dating show and there's a guy who comes out.
There's a panel of women and he is to tell
all about himself, who he is and what he's looking
for in a relationship, and each girl is holding a balloon.
There are eight of them, and every time he would
say something that'd sent up a red flag, they'd pop
their balloon. There's a lot of popping, so let's get
poppin' coast.

Speaker 7 (03:22):
One of three point five Catch the ellen K Morning
Show on demand on the Free iHeartRadio host one of three.

Speaker 8 (03:27):
Point five Inside Entertainment with Ellen K.

Speaker 1 (03:30):
All right, So Eric Jane has been diagnosed with hemiotrophic
lateral sclerosis ALS, also known as Lou Garrig's disease. He
is fifty two. He is returning to Euphoria season three,
which is already filming, but he'll be on set Monday,
along with Sidney Sweeney and Zendeia. Along with Euphoria you
know miss doctor Mark Sloan Gray's anatomy, he's sixty. Man. Yeah,

(03:55):
it's a brutal disease, fatal, progressive degenerative disease that breaks
down the nerves in the body, weakening your muscles and
causing eventual paralysis so you can't breath, speak.

Speaker 9 (04:05):
And move.

Speaker 1 (04:06):
There is no known cure. Now. He was divorcing Rebecca Gayheart,
his wife of many years and mother of his children,
and they've called that off so together as a family,
they will be there to support Eric, as his cast
will and so many fans around the world. So wow,
Eric Dane, we feel for you and your family. All right.

(04:26):
At the box office this weekend, Minecraft will win again,
bringing in sixty five million, and then Ryan Manos doppelganger
Robbie Mallick stars in the Amateur It's a spy thriller.
He plays a CIA analyst who hunts down the killers
behind a terrorists attack that took the life of his wife.
So he's kind of a nerdy guy and no one
sees him coming.

Speaker 2 (04:46):
Oh, I love it all right.

Speaker 1 (04:47):
Also coming in Third Drop, it's a twisted thriller that
follows a widowed mom named Violet. That's Megan Fahey from
White Lotus and she receives a mysterious phone message while
she's on a first date and it's a video. They
are threatening to kill her son. The video is of
the killer with her son and sister unless she first
murders the man across the dinner tables. Yeah, so it's

(05:14):
a good weekend at the box office. There's also one
called The King of Kings and this is an animated
faith based film and it follows the author who narrates
the biography of Jesus Christ. It's Kenneth Brana and Uma Thurman,
and it pre sold fifteen million dollars in tickets. So
that's supposed to be a really good one too. Got
great rotten tomatoes, all.

Speaker 5 (05:32):
Right, ed.

Speaker 1 (05:33):
Shearon's favorite American fast food restaurant is Five Guys. He
also likes Waterburger Ands. Fan of KFC, he likes in
and Out, but he says their price could be a
little bit better and they need more locations, he said.
Ok now. Ed said that he will eventually go to
country music.

Speaker 10 (05:51):
But I've made country songs in the past have just
never come out. I feel like I have to. I
have to do it, probably properly. And I think when
you transition to country, you can't transition back. Once you're there,
You're there.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Really, do you agree?

Speaker 2 (06:04):
No? I think you can bounce in an album, but yeah,
you can come in and out.

Speaker 1 (06:07):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:08):
By the way, Ed, you know how he's announced for Coachella. Yes,
so he's next weekend. He's not doing both weekends.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
Okay, just one.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
Weezer was announced and then Ed and Weezer's this weekend,
Ed next, Okay, all right, So Ed Sharon, he's got
a brand new song.

Speaker 1 (06:21):
People are calling for this one and it's doing really
well on coast one of three point five. This is
Buzzy zom Eddie Sharon.

All those things, but happy birthday and man, no you
have a happiness.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
Hack yep, not about my birthday specifically, but your next
birthday can be even better if you have I guess
the time, the dedication and the stomach for it. A
lot of places give you just they just give you
free stuff on your birthday. So Chili's pick a dessert,

Speaker 2 (08:56):
And you know what, as we all celebrate another trip
around the sun whenever your birthday, they made the I
think this fits with our happiness hacked. We'd all love
to live to a long, healthy, prosperous age to say,
like a Betty White, she made it to ninety nine.
Not only was miss White and this is a this
is a good lesson. Not only was Miss White partial
to daily vodka and hot dogs. Do you know how
she started every morning? I have no idea her breakfast

(09:17):
every morning a piece of chocolate cake.

Speaker 1 (09:20):
Oh that's awesome, Betty White. May she rest in peace?

Speaker 11 (09:25):
You know.

Speaker 1 (09:25):
Okay, so you said vodka.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Hot dogs and chocolate cake. I mean she made it
to ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Guys, I mean maybe that's the key. And Ryan, I
would like you to start this song that we've loaded in.
This song was number one on the day you were born,
April eleventh, nineteen eighty one, just the two of us.
What a beautiful song. Go over Washington, Junior. This thing

(09:50):
dominated the charts, and we thought we'd played for you
on your happy birthday.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Thank you.

Speaker 6 (09:55):
I see the crystal rain drops fall and the beauty

(12:52):
It is Ryan's birthday today.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
Oh thank you.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah, we're gonna pop the balloon later with you. It's
a new show in Netflix where single guy comes out
eight women and they're all holding a balloon, and then
he says some things about himself and then what he'd
like in a relationship.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
So then the concept is that when you, as the
balloon holder, here's something you don't like or perceive as
a red flag, then.

Speaker 1 (13:14):
You you pop pop the balloon. Okay, yeah, I my
husband we left. We're gonna do a lot of popping today.

Speaker 12 (13:24):
That is just ahead.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Also, we're gonna send you to Vegas for a weekend.
You're gonna be there with Kelly Clarkson. Okay, one good
thing on a feel good Friday, Just tell us one
good thing happening in your life. We all have at
least one good thing. Noel, what's yours?

Speaker 11 (13:41):
I just married my daughter. All of this daughter got
to walk it down the aisle. So that's memorable. And
also danced our father daughter dance to post Mylone's Yours.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
Oh, I cried so hard when my dad walked me
down the aisle. We had shots of vodka in the
car on the way there and he made me drink it.
It was just a quick shot and then we just
cried so hard. Did you cry with your daughter?

Speaker 11 (14:12):
I had to hold it in. I think I listened
to the song all week just so that I wouldn't.

Speaker 9 (14:16):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
Smart, Okay, what's her name?

Speaker 11 (14:20):
Emily?

Speaker 1 (14:21):
Tell us about raising Emily from a little girl into
the young married woman she is today.

Speaker 11 (14:27):
Oh, that was it was great. She was just always
running around. She was very smart, intelligent, very caring, very
big heart and so likes to serve in the church
as well. And so now she's living in Boston though.

Speaker 1 (14:43):
Oh you did a good job, daddy, And I'm sure
that her husband, as he promised to, will take care
of her just like you would. Y.

Speaker 11 (14:52):
Yeah, he's a great guy as well.

Speaker 1 (14:55):
Thanks Noel, thank you so much.

Speaker 11 (14:57):
Thank you.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
That's a it's a sweet story. It must be so
hard for dads to give away their daughters. And then
what about the guy standing there ready to take the dollar.
Like you forget how.

Speaker 8 (15:11):
Awkward that is.

Speaker 1 (15:12):
It's like, I mean, my dad and my husband are
so close. They always were, and they really vibed on
each other and got along right away. In fact, my
mom told me I was going to marry him on
our first date they met him. But like just hearing Noah,
like you are giving away your flesh and blood to
someone else to take care of her forever forever. Yeah,

(15:36):
it just I don't know. That just really hit me.
You got to really like that person to come into
your family and to take care of your baby.

Speaker 2 (15:44):
Like you were there for her first steps and this
person will be there for her last.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Oh it makes me cry, right, yes, Oh that is
one good thing, all right, Noel, glad that you love
the guy and that you had a beautiful wedding with
your daughter. We just want one good thank you. There's

(16:10):
a song for everything. One good thing on you Feel

Speaker 8 (16:29):
Coast one oh three point five that men ignore.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
We're getting so many great guesses. Thank you for playing
the llen KQ and A. Susannah Fontana says that men
ignore directions. While true, Susannah, it's not the right answer, so.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
Kind totorialize yourself. There's one answer here.

Speaker 1 (16:48):
It's not the gaslight. It's not your hair or your beard,
it's not your fingernails. So what is it that men
are ignoring? Eight nine nine kost more guests.

Speaker 8 (17:03):
The Morning Show.

Speaker 13 (17:04):
I wake up to your station, I work out to
your station, I listen to it throughout the day, and
I go to bed listening to it. Thank you for
all that you do. You guys are absolutely the best.

Speaker 8 (17:15):

k Q and A on Coast one O three point five.

Speaker 1 (17:21):
Hi Teresa, Hi, good morning, Teresa Pharmacy Tech. Welcome to
the llen k Q and A.

Speaker 12 (17:29):
Oh, thank you so much. I'm excited we are too.

Speaker 1 (17:32):
What do you think it is? What do most men ignore? Oh?

Speaker 11 (17:35):
God, I'm going through this with my husband, so I
think it's doctor's appointment.

Speaker 1 (17:39):
I mean you're preaching to the choir. Yep, I work
with two guys in this room. In fact, there are
a lot of guys here at Ihart who will not
go to the doctor. No, it's don't you want to
get your physical get checked out. No, when you have
a sore throat, feel better, I go instantly to the doctor.

(18:02):
There's also telehealth, telamed and there's all these things. Nope,
but go to the doctor is such a great, great
guess it's not the right answer. Oh bummer, thank you,
thank you. Let's go to Stacy Middle school teacher. Hi, Stacy,
Stacy Whittier, good morning, Good morning, Stacy. What do you

(18:23):
think it is?

Speaker 8 (18:25):
I think it's putting the dishes away because.

Speaker 11 (18:27):
They are just sitting in the sink and it's like, dude,
there's no clean dishes. Put them away, or like put
them in the dishwasher, do something.

Speaker 1 (18:33):
Do something. Rinsing is not a full task. You can
rinse them and put them in the sink. But really,
if there's a dishwasher that's in progress, you know you're loading, yea,
It just it takes one second to open that door
and put that dish in. In fact, Justin Timberlake said
that was the keto's marriage, is that he puts the
dishes in the dishwasher.

Speaker 11 (18:53):
Well, that's good.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
That's a great guess. It is not the right answer.
It is not dishes. Oh no, I think most men
might ignore dishes. But it's not the right answer. All right,
try again. Michael eighth grade, Sierra Vista Middle in Kovina,
Good morning. Hi, Hi Michael. What's your favorite subject at school?

Speaker 11 (19:17):
I like pe Pe?

Speaker 1 (19:19):
Yeah. Are you an athlete?

Speaker 13 (19:21):
Yes?

Speaker 12 (19:21):
I play a lot of sports.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
All right, cool, Well Michael, what is your guests? So
women ignore the engine light? What do men ignore? I
think it's burned out light bulb. Does that happen at
your house?

Speaker 13 (19:33):
Yes?

Speaker 4 (19:34):
Matter of fact, I'm sitting the dark right now.

Speaker 12 (19:36):
Oh no, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 11 (19:39):
I'm just.

Speaker 1 (19:43):
It's a great guest and Michael, you are right, it's
burned out light bulbs. Oh my god, you're a winner.

Speaker 12 (19:50):
Hopefully my mom gets me the new Jordan's coming out.

Speaker 1 (19:53):
Whoa okay, oh, because you have the right guess.

Speaker 2 (19:57):
Yeah, she's going to Vegas. You get the Jordan's. It
all makes sense.

Speaker 1 (20:00):
Yeah, all right, we hope you get that dropped. Thank
you so much, Michael.

Speaker 4 (20:05):
Hi, thank you, thu bye.

Speaker 1 (20:07):
That's the game. The llen KQ and a most women
ignore their engine light. It's to it's a fact. But
what am I ignore? They ignore the burned out my bulbs?
And why no where our recent of the science?

Speaker 2 (20:22):
Why is your check engine light on?

Speaker 5 (20:23):
Ellen?

Speaker 1 (20:24):
Why is your bulk burned out?

Speaker 5 (20:25):
Right?

for us to pay Pop the Balloon with you, just
so that we get your head right about you know,
what you might want to tell someone on a first
date or or as you look for love. You don't
want to say the wrong thing, Okay, So this will
kind of be like you're Pop the Balloon test.

your birthday anyway, So we would like to have you
tell us about yourself. If we hear a red flag,
just like on the show Pop the Balloon, we will
pop a balloon. Okay, all right. It's a fun show.

your life.

of one good thing that you're grateful for. It makes
you good. Christina, thank you for calling us one good thing.
But you are tense? So what is up?

Speaker 12 (27:07):
So we have a test.

Speaker 1 (27:08):
It's my last test for my advanced certification and if
I pass, I get a race.

Speaker 14 (27:13):

Multiple choice, and then the other half is.

Speaker 8 (27:27):

Happy Friday till you get ready for a hot one today.
We're going to cool down to the seventies for the weekend.
I feel good Friday. Thank you for having us on
a work in the car wherever you are. Over the
past few years, Google has been working hard on using
AI to upscale and augment the Wizard of Oz to
play in the sphere so that you know, you don't

(28:44):
see like a nine foot Judy Garland face, but yet
you still get it in your face. Oh that's so cool.
So they I think they perfected it, and they lit
up the sphere in Vegas with just like a little
promo teaser for The Wizard of Oz and they're playing
the music from the movie and it was just beautiful.

(29:05):
So that's another great thing that's going to be coming
to the Sphere. Have you been yet? No, I haven't
been inside yet. I can't.

Speaker 3 (29:12):
I would rather watch a movie before I go in
for a concert. Okay, like a three sixty experience. Okay,
I would want to see Wizard of Oz.

Speaker 1 (29:19):
That's cool. Yeah, what about you, Mike, I haven't been yet.

Speaker 8 (29:22):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (29:22):
The Cosm is very kind of close ish in a
way because you feel like you're in it. So if
you want to like sample that kind of I don't
know that Sphere feel the cosms right here in town.
But yeah, we can't wait to see the Wizard of Oz.
Will be at the Sphere in Vegas. Thank you for
being here.

Speaker 9 (29:43):

Speaker 2 (31:39):
Watch watch it.

Speaker 1 (31:46):
There's so much good stuff. I know we're all kind
of going to be missing the White Lotus this weekend.
Now that season three is wrapped. But here's the good news.
There is just a treasure of good content streaming it
in theaters. Darlene, what you're watching?

Speaker 3 (32:05):
I am watching and sticking to HBO replacing White Lotus
will be the last of US. Season two premieres Pedro
Pascal Bella, Ramsey, nick Offerman. I cannot wait. And this
is a show I get to watch with my son
and my husband, So for me, it's it's extra, it's
bonus points. We don't really agree on a lot of
things that we watch, but this is one thing that

(32:27):
we do enjoy.

Speaker 1 (32:27):
And it's the premiere of season two. Yes, I heard
they've already read new season three.

Speaker 11 (32:33):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
I it was a video game that's turned into this
really good TV show, so you got to check it out.

Speaker 14 (32:40):
Oh I love that, all right, Producer Mike, Yeah, I'm
watching The Studio on Apple TV. Seth Brogan, Catherine O'Hara,
Brian Cranston, Ron Howard, so many cameos in this. And
you know, Seth plays the head of a movie studio
and they make movies and he wants to make films
like classic films. So a bunch of trouble Apple TV.

Speaker 1 (33:01):
The Studio it's really good. I sampled it Cethrow and
the music that they use is so good, so good.
All right, MANA what you watching?

Speaker 2 (33:10):
I don't want to light to you guys and pretend
I'm going to be glued to a streamer all weekend.
It's a great sports weekend, guys. The thumps are here.
So I will be at Dodger Stadium for three consecutive days,
seventy five tonight at game time, first pitch games crazy
of course, and if you're not, the Masters are on
all weekend, and then Sunday the Lakers' final regular season game.
So if sports is your jam, this is a great weekend.

Speaker 1 (33:33):
Okay, Well, I'm going to take you to Apple TV
Plus for Friends and Neighbors. It just debuted yesterday. John
Hamm is the star, and he said it's the first
time he's been the sole leading man in anything that
wouldn't depend if he was gone or not. So he said,
this series, if I'm not in it, it doesn't it
doesn't live on Friends and Neighbors. If you like Thrillers

(33:54):
is on Apple TV Plus. John Hamm is great. He's
hosting SNL this weekend. Lizzo is the musical guest, but
really really really good. If you want to go to theaters,
go to Drop. It's a twisted thriller. It follows a
widowed mom who receives mysterious phone messages she's on a
first date. Whoever sending them is diabolically threatened to kill
her son and sister unless she murders the man across

(34:17):
the table. Ooh, Drop, it's in theaters. What you're watching?

Speaker 8 (34:23):

day is magical, Ryan, especially when we can all be

a very special day for me. Ten years ago today
I pulled in my Toyota Camery, I pulled up to
my brother's apartment in Beverly Hills, moving to LA with
everything I could fit in my car. And then I've

Anybody fine, somebody.

Speaker 9 (36:22):
To kiss on three? Kiss on me one.

Speaker 1 (36:33):
Look at your face. I guess it's true. I'm not
