Yeah, it's like your your husband aged out and then
you just went for a younger guy.

Born and raised here. First of all, I would like
to thank you guys for the door not being locked.
I heard the first break. I was like, I don't
know that. No, it might be locked when I try
to go in. But yeah, to answer your question, I'm
born and raised here. I was a Raleigh kid. My
heart's here. I played basketball at app State and just
could not be more excited to be back into Carolina's all.
Speaker 3 (00:54):
Right, So something you need to know is, since you're
from Raleigh, whenever you say or somebody says the word Raleigh.
Speaker 1 (00:59):
Really no Raleigh. So that's that's what has to be said.
Speaker 3 (01:03):
So if you say and then you say no, pay
attention noted.

and it's been very humbling. But yeah, I've done some
reality television. One of which that I'm really proud of
was I got to chance to work with I've done
some reality television One of which that I'm really proud
of was I got to chance to work with Shania
Twain and host a country reality singing contest with Travis
Tritt and Jay Owens called Real Country and before covid Uh.
(01:52):
It was something that I was really excited to do.
That's what actually led to me leaving radio. And now
I didn't think I'd be fortunate enough to be back.
But I am yeah, and you got a great chot.
This is a great job. I've been told again. Listen,
this process was extensive. It is not anything that anyone
should shake a stick at, Like the shoes are large,
and they did their due diligence and searching. So there's
(02:14):
a special pride that I take that I was chosen
amongst all of the people that applied for this job.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
I mean, like hundreds of people. Yeah, it's a big deal.
Speaker 3 (02:22):
And uh and we're excited that you hear you talked
a little bit about reality TV, talk about the other
half of your reality life. But people might draw draw
the black Paul embarrassed. Okay, well, it's not like it
was to catch a predator.

How many different shows were you, like seasons and stuff?
Because you went to the beach too, I did.
Speaker 4 (02:50):
I did a few at one point in time, and
I didn't call myself this, but I was named a
fan favorite and got to do some spinoffs. Cool, So
I did well enough and didn't offend enough people.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
That I went back.
Speaker 4 (03:00):
That's fantastic, and honestly, I made my parents proud. Like
my dad's a dress blues winning marine. If I had
acted a fool, he'd let me know.

Lee and the new guy, Graham Bun Yep, Graham b

Bachelor Bachelorette when it first came on, and then I
kind of got away from it.
Speaker 1 (03:23):

the Bachelorette.
Speaker 4 (03:26):
It's a very embarrassing story of how I got their
story for another time.
Speaker 1 (03:29):
I think Sara Lee knows though he were.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Four of the Bachelorette, and he made it really Yeah.
Speaker 1 (03:35):
How far did you go to the fun Room? I
did not so, and it is public knowledge now. I
don't mind sharing this. The fun room fantasy suites.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
The young lady who I'm still friends with, she met
my family and my family and I had a conversation
about would this be someone that you would marry. I
didn't feel like I was in a position to marry her,
so I actively asked to lead the show after that,
because I don't think my parents wanted me filmed going
into the Fantasy Suite, and that was something that we
weren't you know, we weren't really pumped about.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
So I love to do anything in the Fantasy Suite.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
You could be a gentleman.
Speaker 4 (04:07):
What the insinuation is there? And people's imagination is way
more than you know, the magic of TV. I guess
if you want to call it. So I removed myself
after the hometown interests gentleman.
Speaker 1 (04:18):
He's a nice guy, and I'll let her do it.
Speaker 4 (04:20):
So she was made aware that I would like to
leave the show, and I said, hey, if you want
to not choose me, so if it saves face in
any way, shape or form, please by all means.

into all of these things? I've done a little bit
of everything, and you played college basketball around here. I did.
I'm an Appalachian State Mountaineer. Yeah, graduated and uh you know,
(04:54):
got my diploma. Played overseas for a little bit. Yeah,
so I've done a little bit of everything. But nothing
is as daunting as coming back home and trying to
step into these shoes and have great mornings with you
guys here in the Charlotte community.

Well, it's very exciting. And you got a sister who
lives over in Dilworth.

real quick. I could walk to work. I mean, I
don't know if I would. I need to get in
shared I think you would. But it's great. Deal Worth
area is wonderful. I can't wait to shop around and
find a home for myself. I'm kind of in my
sister and brother in law space right now. I'm sure
it's going to get interesting after a week. But yeah,
I'm in Dilworth and I'm loving every second.
Speaker 3 (05:29):
I'm going to pass the golden microphone on over to you.
And again, this is something I knew what happened, I
didn't know when, and I'm glad it's you, my friend.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
Well, thank you so much.

And any any parting advice for both of us, because
this is going to be a new season for us,

the things that you've built here, which is is really cool.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
I'm and always be honest with her, always be truthful,
very good.

because I'm always honest. You are, That's true. I think
you learned that really fast well because I'm always honest.
Speaker 2 (06:04):
You are, And you have been the most honest, helpful,
loving I mean. And I tell you this and there
I don't want to get a partner I've had up
until this point. And you spend so much quality time
during these hours, and you become a part of each
other's family, and I thank God for you ever in
these hours, and you become a part of each other's family,
and I thank God for you every day.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
And you know that.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
And I love Kathy, and everybody listening knows that you're
a part of our life. And I'll still be calling
you and harassing.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
You and wake you up. They've asked me.
