Lee your new morning.

Speaker 2 (00:02):
Show, and we have a very special guest on the
line with us, Duke legend Jay Williams, and you two
have a very embarrassing story today.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
Okay, I'm just gonna paint the picture for everyone. Jay
Williams is the greatest college basketball player in America. I
am not the greatest, and I got the opportunity to
work out and train and learn from the national player
of the Year. I'm a basketball junkie. We're working out
at Duke. We go back and he's so kind to

(00:31):
let me stay because I'm training with Duke. He goes
to bed. I'm kind of hanging out like, oh my gosh,
like the Good Lord has put me in this position,
and just nonchalantly this guy's got the Wooden Award sitting
in his guest room. Well, this is really cool for me.
So I take a picture of it and forget the
flashes on the entire apartment lights up, and he's like, Yo,

(00:52):
what was that there?

Speaker 3 (00:53):
You have to understand. I'm literally I'm sleeping. It's pitch
block in my apartment, and get I just see these
lights going on and are we being invaded by ailiens?
What's going on?

Speaker 1 (01:03):
I kind of peek my head around the side.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
As you can imagine, like your boy, You're like, okay,
this is my friend, but yet I see him posing
with the trophy. I'm like, what is what is going on?

Speaker 1 (01:13):
Are you okay? I mean anologies. I would do it
again today And if anybody anything about the Wooden Award
you would too. Are you kidding me? Jay Williams Wooden Award.
I have pictures with it and I don't care. So yes,
he is one of my dearest friends.

Speaker 3 (01:31):
He went to the NBA draft with me, which I'll
allow him to tell the stories on afterwards because that
was quite the experience. And uh, it's just I'm really
proud for you guys.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You guys have been great.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
I've been listening this morning and I just had to
call in and say love and respect.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
Not lip service. I got goosebumps. Man. I know you
know we go back, but it means the world that
you're proud of me. Brother. I love you and Sarah.

Speaker 3 (01:52):
I look forward to meeting you, all right.

Speaker 2 (01:53):
I can't wait, and I can't wait to hear the stories.

Speaker 4 (01:55):
They can't Oh yeah, all right, later brother guys, we've
got to get these pictures posted.

Speaker 1 (02:04):

and Sarah Lee on Instagram and.

Speaker 1 (02:15):
