After 20 years as an educator and curriculum designer—most of it outside the United States—I came to a hard conclusion: many of the core assumptions of the American education system are fundamentally broken. This channel is where we say the quiet part out loud. ”The Education Outsider” is a weekly deep dive into the most contentious issues in our schools—from the ”Reading Wars” and the failures of EdTech, to the myths of ”equitable grading” and the real reasons for teacher burnout. This isn’t a balanced report. This is a sharp, unfiltered, and evidence-backed perspective from someone who knows the system intimately but is no longer bound by its rules.
