This podcast will help you grow in your leadership through aligned leadership. Listen in and you’ll learn what that means and why it is so critical you are an aligned leader. Hey, I’m Susan. A friend of Jesus, a wife, and boy mom. Drawing from my experience of working my way up to and for a high-end fashion designer in New York City before marriage AND being in the trenches of motherhood, and balancing work and family as a teacher and all of the other commitments, I created a strategy to align my life to Christ. Out of that overflow, there was an alignment of my leadership that seeped into every facet of my life. Through aligned leadership, starting with leading myself, I found ways to personally grow in the midst of caring for my family with Christ. When I aligned myself with Christ and led myself as He wanted me to lead, this shifted things so that I can be a high performer at work and at home. You can align any season of your life so you can be fruitful at work and home and personally grow. Are you ready to dive in? Create habits and routines that protect your time and support your wellness and stewardship.
First, identify and handle urgent, time-sensitive tasks to get current. Then pause, pray, and reset your mindset for clarity and direction. Next, build margin by staying ahead of daily work and reas...

Control your day by building intentional habits and a focused mindset. Without structure, urgency takes over—but simple routines create clarity, wellness, and momentum. Start with a morning anchor: prayer, reflection, and calm focus before distractions. Plan your week ahead, identify daily “must-wins,” and protect peak energy hours. This is true stewardship—aligning your time with purpose.
Prioritize what matters: Exercise, Destres...
Time is a sacred gift from God, and stewardship of our time shapes the life we live. Instead of chasing “balance,” we live with intentionality and surrender, aligning our priorities with God’s direction for each season. Our focus centers on three areas: Faith, Family, and Self-Care. Through healthy habits, mindset, wellness routines, exercise, meal planning, and moments to destress, we build a life that sustains us and those we lov...

Eating well is about patterns, not perfection. The Mediterranean diet recipes you love can reflect Wellness through quality protein, healthy fats, whole grains, natural sweeteners, and a variety of vegetables—less processed, more intentional.
Build simple routines around checking ingredients, cooking at home when possible, and choosing better oils. Let plants lead, prioritize protein for steady energy, and flavor generously with...
God-given VISION is a direction that begins in the mind and leads to life-saving action (Proverbs 29:18). In Scripture—like with Noah, Joseph, and Cornelius—vision required obedience, sacrifice, and courage. Write the vision (Habakkuk 2), sacrifice comfort (Luke 9:23), and renew your mind (Romans 12:2). Neuroscience confirms transformation through thoughts and words—“death and life are in the tongue.”
Execution flows from our minds...
In my 40s—especially after my fourth pregnancy—I realized endless cardio wasn’t the smartest path to boosting metabolism. Instead, I shifted to strength training focused on large muscle groups (legs, back, chest) to improve metabolic rate, insulin sensitivity, and blood sugar control. Short, consistent workouts—like squats, lunges, rows, band pull-aparts, and pushups—fit into busy seasons through habit stacking, especially during m...
In this episode, I share how I use AI (like ChatGPT) to plan meals and support eating well despite a busy schedule—great for time management and stress management. I created a gluten-free slow cooker Mediterranean meatballs after dry oven and air fryer attempts. Inspired by Mediterranean diet recipes, the dish features ground beef, herbs, feta, and a savory tomato sauce, cooked low and slow for tender results. It’s simple, healthy,...

True breakthrough begins with a renewed mind fully surrendered to God. As we live in continual prayer, meditate on Scripture, and replace fear, anxiety, and negative thinking with God’s truth, transformation follows. Our thoughts shape our hearts, actions, and results, so guarding what we see and hear is essential. Intentional thought patterns shape actions and results. Through prayer, faith, and discipline, we build godly Routine...
Tired of the same Mediterranean flavors? The key is focusing on the pattern, not the cuisine. Build meals around veggies, fruits, healthy fats, quality protein, and whole grains—whether you’re making Mediterranean diet recipes, Asian stir-fry, or comfort food. Choose less processed ingredients, check condiments, and let plants lead while adjusting protein for satiety. Prioritize balance over perfection and aim for simple Wellness R...
Understanding the parasympathetic nervous system transformed how I view stress and Wellness. God designed our bodies with built-in systems: the sympathetic (“fight or flight”) and parasympathetic (“rest and digest”). Chronic stress keeps us stuck in survival mode, but simple Routines can help us Destress and heal. Slow breathing, gentle Exercise, screen-free bedtime habits, gratitude, and mindful meals support digestion, sleep, and...

I’m a devoted reader who loves Scripture daily and growth-focused books like The 12 Week Year. This episode explores using 12-week cycles to create focus, urgency, and execution in life goals. I’m applying it to three areas: gardening in the South (growing potatoes, tomatoes, herbs), optimizing Wellness through Exercise, strength training, and eating well with Mediterranean diet recipes and a simple Meal Plan, and building consist...
Raising kids made our family rethink sugar and shift toward eating well as a lifestyle, not a battle. Reducing added sugar improves blood sugar control, lowers inflammation, and supports healthy appetite regulation. Instead of relying on sugar substitutes, the Mediterranean diet emphasizes retraining the palate—prioritizing fruit, minimally processed foods, and occasional natural sweeteners like honey or dates. Pair sweets with p...
