Courage 2 Overcome

"Courage to Overcome" will feature families or persons who have shown courage to overcome disability challenges and go beyond what the medical personnel or others thought they could do. It will be addressing autism, downs syndrome, cerebral palsy, learning disorders, and other medical challenges that are difficult for families to deal with. Cheryl will be addressing some of the problems families face and offer some solutions to make life easier. There is an incredible line-up of people who will make it interesting, educational, and supportive to families. You won't want to miss an episode!

Tonight's program is a summary of the shows that I have done for three years and talk about how the guests can find resources about the various topics that require caregiving. With 67% expected to die before the one they care for, it will help those caring for people from Autism to Alzheimer's to know how to better care for themselves and prevent burnout.

She is busy celebrating Autism moms and has some events our listeners will be interested in knowing about. She has a nonprofit and works to help other moms.

I am excited that tonight's guest is Amy Kirkpatrick Young, who at an early age was diagnosed with MS. She had a great doctor who recognized her symptoms and immediately got her to a specialist. Her life is full of challenges, but she is aware of some triggers that make it harder. She is still teaching school and tries to control the disrupters as well as she can.
She is truly a champion of courage to overcome her disability.
